My overall experience with has been quite positive. The platform is user-friendly and offers a variety of features that streamline payroll and HR processes.

Pros

Easy to navigate for tasks like checking pay, requesting time off, and managing onboarding, making HR processes smoother.

Cons

One aspect I liked least about was its user interface, which can sometimes feel complicated and overwhelming for new users. Additionally, the customer support response time could be improved.

### "My Thoughts on Paylocity"

Overall came to make my life easier, we do not have any more paper files. The recruiting portion of Paylocity has made it easier to keep track of applicants

Pros

That it makes it easy to track and manage employee files, the different available options they have makes my day to day tasks so much easier.

Cons

The way that the time off balance are displayed, we are still getting used to it. The available time to request versus the balance they actually have its what confuses me a little.

### "When things go wrong"

Overall the experience has been good but when things go wrong, we have found it very difficult to get a resolution or any ownership over the problem

Pros

The system is fairly easy to use and intuitive. The fact that we they system can connect to most of our insurance vendors is convenient and saves a lot of time on admin work

Cons

has made some major mistakes with our account lately, costing our company lots of time, frustration and money

Employees were happy with the switch; they find it easy to clock in and out on their phone and request time off. Managers find it easy to keep track of their employees and payroll is a breeze to do every week. So happy we switched to !

Pros

We had a great experience switching payroll providers to . We were able to save money and add services for our employees as well. Our support team made the transition smooth and easy.

Cons

So far we are happy with everything. It can be a little overwhelming with all of the options, but they have a great knowledge base to help learn it all.

Generally, very pleased with , the ease of use and the available options. There are numerous modules that we currently do not utilize and look forward to implementing in the future.

Pros

Employee management - the ease of use for documents and personnel data. Easy to update and maintain. The knowledge base is very helpful and simple to use to locate answers and direction without the submission of a help ticket.

Cons

The reset cadence of PTO/time off. Policy is a reset on employee's anniversary date however the actual reset in can vary, typically based on pay period. Learning management also does not offer any DOT specific trainings and is limited.

Pros

Someone is always available with customer service, sometimes on hold for a bit but it is not bad at all. User friendly. I like the community/announcements feature.

Cons

As an administrator, not being able to mirror others accounts to ensure account access is correct. There have been certain ways we want to set things up and the system does not allow it. Especially with time off accruals.

Its ease of use, automation, and integration with other systems has made my work-life much easier and accurate.

Pros

The platform is very user friendly for both administrators and employees alike. The implementation process was smooth.

Cons

The mobile app for administrators is extremely limited. It would be extremely beneficial to have additional features in the app to support recruiting specifically.

Amazing! The products they offer are great in addition to the payroll products. We have now made our onboarding virtual!

Pros

The service staff is always readily available and able to help when needed! The program is easy to use and if you need help there are tons of article to help you through.

Cons

No cons. I don't not like anything. The rewards and recognition was a little challenging for me to figure out as some employees had personal emails attached.

I am extremely grateful for the customer service provided, especially by \[sensitive content hidden\]. If there were fewer glitches on payroll days, I would have given this review a five-star rating.

Pros

I really like how helpful the employees are! Whenever I have an issue and call , I receive great customer service, and our account manager is the best.

Cons

The glitches on payroll days are not ideal; however, I do understand that there isn’t a perfect payroll system out there.

My overall experience has been really good. I used this product at a previous job & came back to it.

Pros

Accuracy in Payroll. I have found that does not make mistakes when paying employees. The people I dealt with during the setup process were great.

Cons

Some things are more difficult to do & you shouldn't try to do them without support's assistance (i.e. you have to change things in more than one area sometimes).

's accuracy and time reporting is outstanding. I spend less time trying to figure out who was in or out every day.

Pros

Easy to track attendance. I love the ability to clock in and out. I love being able to look at my check stub. The ease of requesting time off.

Cons

Reports could be more user friendly. I feel they could be made better if the parameters were more generic.

Overall the experience has been great we have used this system for over 10 years and even though there are things that can be enhanced, its doing what its supposed to do right now.

Pros

The easy way to complete payroll. There hasn't been a time the system has been down and not able to get into it. Overall a good HRIS system to support our staff.

Cons

Reporting and document handling. It would be nice to run better/clearer reports. For document handling it would be nice to have easier ways to send out contracts.

Pros

I like that continuously works to improve their client experience and that they are always available for help with support questions. It is easy to manage our employee data and run reports on Paylocity.

Cons

At times, new innovations can be difficult to adapt to. The webinars for clients have been extremely helpful for this.

The platform is a little difficult to navigate at times. I would also like more robust automation and conditional pathing functionality.

Very good platform - makes doing payroll easy don't have to worry that when eligible the employee gets benefits added and 401k payments made

Pros

easy to use sets up health insurance deductions - pays 401k contribution - never late or forget to pay

Cons

sometimes finding the right reports is difficult - could filter the reportin section better to make it easier to find the right one

We switched to a few years ago and have been happy ever since. We had issues with our previous provider not being able to handle multi-state businesses. Paylocity did what they said they would do and we haven't looked backed.

Pros

Customer Service, user friendly, knowledgeable tax department, quick response, mobile app is easy to use too.

Cons

It's hard to navigate where the issues are coming from sometimes - usually a box somewhere not checked.

Overall happy with the product. Also, very happy with the customer service. Whenever I have an issue response is timely and solution provided.

Pros

is aesthetic and visually appealing which directly impacts intuitiveness and simplicity of use.

Cons

When adding new employees or updating existing employees there can be a lot of boxes to check and places that need updating. It can be easy to miss one small thing and not be sure exactly what was missed. I wish some things were consolidated a bit more.

I’ve used many payroll systems over the years, and is definitely my favorite. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it has everything you need to manage everything one place.

Pros

has a lot of great features and can be customized to fit your needs. It’s reliable, runs smoothly, and their customer support team is always quick to help when you need it.

Cons

Because there’s so much you can do in the system, it can take a little time to figure out how to set things up. However, their support team is really helpful and always ready to jump in to help.

Overall I think its reliable and it has a lot of great feature for organizations and for staff members.

Pros

They have great customer support. They reach out within a reasonable timeframe to answer any questions you have. I work with payroll and I personally love how user friendly it is.

Cons

Sometimes as they ugrade the sytem and views it takes a while to get used to them moving a certain tab or other but nothing too crazy.

You get what you pay for with this product. For an easy solution for payroll and time tracking, I would 100% recommend this. If you are looking for a more robust and customizable product, you might not like it.

Pros

It is user friendly and has minimal margin for user error. The employee facing modules are easy to navigate.

Cons

Some of the customization is just not there. A lot of the changes and settings are only accessible by the support team. It is sometimes hard to get through to the correct support team because every request is fielding by an account manager.

It was good in the beginning (8 years ago), but the extreme growth they have experienced has caused major customer service issues for clients. Lots of mistakes, missed communications, and having to repeat things to them over and over. Seems like they are trying to address this but it's still not great.

Pros

Good employee experience. Easy to navigate. Continual enhancements to stay current with competition.

Cons

Poor customer service from an administrator's standpoint. No ability to talk directly with various departments (ie. Tax, Reporting, etc.) which leads to way too much "pass the message along" and lots of wasted time. "Dedicated" customer service teams get changed on the client constantly, so there is no way to build a relationship. Slow to make needed software changes when issues are found.

I have to call them often for issues and have even resolved some on my own while on the phone waiting for them to figure it out.

Pros

It's automated and fairly simple to use. When it's working properly, it is great. Love the geofence option!

Cons

We shouldn't have to be responsible for asking them to set up tax codes for a new employee/area. It's not convenient that HR Payroll and Time & Labor don't communicate with each other...often resulting in you having to enter information manually in both places.

Satisfied overall with the features and services it offers. No system is perfect so there will be pros and cons.

Pros

The customer support provided has always been exceptional and wait times are minimal. Time and attendance feature is user friendly.

Cons

Time and attendance needs to be imported into payroll. Some changes made within the system do not update in other areas (not all systems communicate or sync with one another).

Really nice. I have been a recruiter for a long time and is the easiest tracking database I have used.

Pros

How easy it is to view applicants and track them. I really enjoy not having to search long for ideal candidates who have the knowledge and the experience I need.

Cons

It's sometime confusing why and JobTarget don't work closer together. I feel like there are several things they could do better instead of separately. I occasionally call Paylocity and am told to call JobTarget and vice versa.
