### "System Needs Updates- Not User-Friendly "

November 6, 2025

1.0

The system is not user friendly: Unnecessary separation of tabs and information, unhelpful AI bot, uneducated (and sometimes) unresponsive Support Team, constant unnecessary and unhelpful updates, numerous glitches in the system, etc. Would not recommend to a friend or colleague.

Pros

I used to like the ease of the time clock... but after the newest update, it's been more of a hassle.

Cons

I don't like that all employee information isn't in one place. Like why do I have to search in HR & Payroll to see certain things, and Time & Labor for others? Wouldn't it make sense to have a place to pull all employee information at once? (As well as keeping information in the other areas). Another example of this: Why can't we just change User Account information (ex: password) just by searching the employee in HR & Payroll? Why is it necessary to have a completely separate tab for User Accounts? Or if it is necessary, why not allow the option to adjust these kinds of things by just searching for the employee... would make more sense to have all ALL employee information in ONE place. I don't like the constant updates to the layout of the system. It feels like every few weeks a tab is getting moved, certain features aren't available where they used to be, or general layout being updated. Frustrating to constantly have to get reacclimated with a system being used daily. The website is also constantly reloading pages or logging users out- even when actively using the page. Super annoying and often results in having to re-do work taking up more Admin time. The Recruiting tab is a nightmare to use... the setup isn't very user-friendly. Using an interface more similar to Indeed would be great. Customer Support is always less than satisfactory as well. It feels like the reps never fully know what they're talking about. I've never been on a support call that lasts less than 30 minutes while the rep tries to figure out things while I wait on hold. Don't even get me started on the wait times for emailing support. Often waiting WEEKS for responses, even after following up. I'd rather sit on hold for 30 minutes than get a ticket created because it takes so long to hear back. Also, in HR & Payroll, when using check calculator and searching for an employee, the system will more often than not say that no employee has been found. So then we have to search the employee, go to Pay>Checks>Check Calculator to cut a check. Just constant issues such as this that cause a lot of unnecessary run-around. Also your AI assistant is not helpful. Often just repeats itself and doesn't understand question being asked. I also don't like that the Onboarding process for New Hires doesn't allow anywhere to add the employee to a group or schedule template. Just another thing to remember to do after "Finishing Onboarding". You would think adding an employee to a group or schedule template would be apart of the Onboarding process but I guess not. Also, why is there another tab to Launch an Event Packet... again why isn't all of this on one screen nice and neat? Just seems like this who system has things split up for no reason.

### "Robust and powerful HRCM/HRIS platform"

November 6, 2025

4.0

Customer satisfaction driven. Always looking to enhance and improve. is always increasing its offerings for our growing company.

Pros

The flexibility and breadth of many of the modules. Plus many are customizable. Onboarding, data analytics, review/journal features, and impression / community / marketplace are some of my faves. The portal makes it easy for staff too.

Cons

Sometimes it is difficult to get to the right level of assistance with complex payroll matters. However, our newly assigned rep is now our advocate to ensure our needs are met.

### "Best platform for reporting"

November 6, 2025

4.0

The system of is very intuitive for system configurations, reporting, processing, and time and attendance. The PEAK articles are informative, helpful, and are truly there to help you help yourself. They alleviate the stress of depending on a third-party for assistance.

Pros

has a robust reporting platform that streamlines payroll review and ongoing audits and greatly improve the process as a whole. Hopefully the movement to use of only the report writer tool will maintain the flexibility and accuracy that I have come to expect out of the dynamic reporting.

Cons

Customer support and timeliness of assistance with taxation issues has significant room for improvement. However, I have used many systems and is still very comparable in this regard.

### "User Friendly Paylocity Software"

November 6, 2025

4.0

Overall, is a good, easy-to-use software that enables ease of payroll processing. They also provide decent customer support, though reps could use more training.

Pros

provides user-friendly time tracking & payroll software. It is also a good value for the cost.

Cons

is basic software, but is lacking in time tracking customization options and benefits module integration.

### "Paylocity - One Stop Shop for HRIS "

Very good! We have been using for 5 years. It meets all of our needs. We use it for benefits, expense management, performance, time and labor, recruiting.

Pros

Cons

### "The absolute BEST"

November 7, 2025

5.0

The absolute best. From implementation to now over a year in. The customer service is the best, a dedicated rep so we are not calling or emailing an 800 # or general mailbox. The employees love the ease of use. Payroll processing is simplified. The recruiting and onboarding are easy to set up and use.

Pros

The system is user-friendly overall for everyone. The cost was cheaper for us for a less than par system. does not nickel and dime you to death. The implementation was simple with a dedicated team.

Cons

The learning piece could be a little easier to use. Sometimes we get emails from reps and not sure who they are but obviously they are not our original rep.

### "User-friendly HCM"

November 6, 2025

5.0

This is the second company that I've used and I love it. It is very user-friendly in my opinion. I've used several ADP products and none of them have been user-friendly.

Pros

is very user-friendly. The modules speak to each other. Payroll is easy to process using batches. The report features are easy to use but also has a lot of functionality. Time & Labor is easy to configure and use. Our Executive Account Manager and team is very helpful.

Cons

I wish they had a visible ticket-tracking system and didn't rely on our EAM to create their own using a Monday board or excel spreadsheet.

### "Paylocity gets a 10 out of 10!"

November 6, 2025

5.0

We have been a client of for over 10 years and have always been happy with the product, the service and yes, the pricing!

Pros

We are very happy with the customer service provided by and like that I can always reach a representative, even when my assigned account representative is unavailable. The response time to emails is always very prompt. The cost compared to other payroll providers is a great value and lower than the competitors.

Cons

There is not much I do not like about . As with most businesses, the turnover with customer service account reps can be frustrating. Although if we are not happy with our assigned rep, management has been quick to respond and will assign us a new rep if needed.

### "A breath of relief since making the switch to Paylocity"

November 6, 2025

5.0

My experience with has been extremely pleasant and my executives are satisfied with our change from a different competitor. The service team is fast with their responses and flexible for meetings when requested. Our taxes have been filed on time, the system is easy to use and there are a lot of resources available. There is also a lot of trainings that keep us compliant across multiple states. Switching to Paylocity has been a breath of relief.

Pros

The implementation was outstanding for ! With our previous provider, turn around was almost double the amount of time that Paylocity offered. The team was knowledgeable, fast, and attentive answering any and all questions I had. I recommend to all my clients as well.

Cons

### "Paylocity - the answer to your payroll nightmares"

November 6, 2025

5.0

Overall, we are very pleased with . The platform is reliable, easy to use, and supported by an excellent customer service team.

Pros

We’ve had an excellent experience with . The platform is easy to use, accurate, and efficient, and their customer service is always responsive and knowledgeable. They’ve made our payroll process smooth and reliable — highly recommend! It's worth every penny! The amount of time I spend on payroll now is so much less that I can focus on more important tasks.

Cons

The only thing that could improve would be the PTO tracking system. It is difficult to understand at times because we have the time off projections enabled, which seems to confuse employees.

November 6, 2025

5.0

I truly enjoy using . It is easy to navigate from the admin side and offers multiple modules to help with the employee life cycle. Employees also find it easy to use and they are expanding the modules to the mobile app!

Pros

encompasses an all-inclusive, one-stop shop for HR needs. Payroll, Compensation, LMS, Time & Labor, Benefits, and even an applicant tracking system along with onboarding.

Cons

### "Affordable and easy to use!"

November 8, 2025

5.0

The software is great and fairly easy to figure out what it is you want to do as menus are intuitive. On occasion, I have to call them to find what I am looking for (such as where to change a tax code) and their support team stays on the phone and walks me through the steps. The software costs less than our former big league provider and integrates with our insurance broker's site for benefit management.

Pros

understood our challenges and the needs not fulfilled by our old payroll provider. They offer a compelling HR/Payroll package that is comprehensive and easy to use. Knowing that my role encompasses HR, benefits, payroll, employee continuing education, background checks, regulatory and more, Paylocity made it easy for me to get up to speed. They offer teriffic technical support where I can speak to a live US based agent and not rely on a chatbot or referred to a self-help guide.

Cons

The learning curve is pretty easy until you need to pull reports (as they have many and several varieties) and running payroll can be a bit confusing (a few too many steps) at first but gets easier over time.

### "Paylocity - Excellent HRIS for Our Organization"

November 7, 2025

5.0

is an overall easy-to-use HRIS. I enjoy the available add-ons we are allowed for our package. We use Performance, Surveys, Recruiting, Time & Labor, and the updates are frequent but not in an overwhelming manner. The updates include enhancements we may have been looking for, and we appreciate feedback taken into consideration.

Pros

I enjoy the customer support the most. The responses are quick and provide clear responses to the inquiries made. Whether the problem can be resolved or not, there is always an explanation for the question asked. If it cannot be done at the time, it will be considered for an enhancement.

Cons

There are certain modifications we would like to add to some features, for example, reporting in recruiting, integrating both internal and external hires into the total number of hires for a period of time. As of now, external is taken into account in Data Insights. A total number is also available, but it does not distinguish between internal and external hires. Since they are pending enhancements, we would not be able to have this feature added. We are aiming to automate our processes, and without these features, we must continue manual processes.

### "Highly Recommend Paylocity"

I have used all the big payroll software and I may favorite to use is . Easy to follow modules and dashboards and the support you receive via chat, phone and PEAK makes me able to feel like I'm able to do a lot on my own within the system in support of our employees.

Pros

Great user interface. Very easy to find and access information as needed. Reporting is great and like the formatting of them. Great customer support when I have questions and pointing me to reference material in PEAK

Cons

Not being able to impersonate employees. It would make things easier if we could so we can troubleshoot more on our end.

### "Great basic functions for the price, challenges beyond that"

November 8, 2025

3.0

For the price is great if you need basic functions, don't have many exceptions in your procedures, and won't need to work with their customer service staff frequently.

Pros

is simple to use. Processing payroll is a intuitive step by step process to prevent errors or oversights. It offers a lot of features for secondary functions like benefits, time and labor, time off scheduling, and learning, but the core functions what we like to focus on.

Cons

While if offers a lot of features, the system does not allow a lot of flexibility if your internal process doesn't work exactly like the way they designed the feature. The customer service is very lacking. Its 50/50 whether you will talk to someone who has the ample knowledge to help you. They do have an extensive library of guides, but the search feature for those are challenging at times.

### "Paylocity is my Super Power!"

November 7, 2025

5.0

My overall experience with is such a positive one. From becoming friends with my Account Managers and Consultants to having the Knowledge Center at my fingertips to guide me with state guidelines. I can 't say enough good things at how the Paylocity product has made me a better manager in so many ways.

Pros

software is very intuitive. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to learn how to use their modules. I've used many other products in my career and this is my favorite payroll/hr program.

Cons

Like all HR/Payroll software products, isn't perfect. But what makes them stand out is their customer service. They answer the phone, they are very responsive and help resolve any issue quickly so you can keep moving.

### "Smooth Transition to Paylocity"

November 7, 2025

4.0

Overall, it has been extremely positive so far. There were some very small hiccups, however the customer service (primarily from \[sensitive content hidden\]) took care of any issue quickly and accurately.

Pros

Visium Resources decided to make the switch from ADP to , a move that has many hurdles to jump, as being a staffing company, our entire business revolves around paying our employees accurately with as few issues as possible. The switch was very easy and what I like most is the customer service from \[sensitive content hidden\], who "held our hands" thru the entire onboarding and thru the first several weeks of implementation. \[sensitive content hidden\]is AWESOME !

Cons

The only negative, is actually a positive when understanding it is needed....and that is the seemingly countless meetings during the onboarding of Visium. Of course, we want everything to go smooth and the only way that happens is by communicating. There were so many meetings that it became difficult to know whom we were supposed to meet next, and unfortunately we missed a couple that inconvenienced the trainers. We were "scolded", but have rescheduled and hopefully eventually we will learn everything that we need to learn about the system.

### "Too Big For My Small Company?"

November 7, 2025

4.0

Overall, it has been touch-and-go with this first year. I loved my implementation specialists but have struggled with consistent customer support since going live. I have a new rep now and things are much improved. I'll admit that I think the platform may be too big and have too many offerings for my 50-employee staff.

Pros

is a huge platform with functionality in almost every area of HR and payroll. Time tracking is easy to use, and I find the product a good value for the money.

Cons

is almost too big for my small company needs. Having so many facets covered sometimes it is difficult to remember where to go to enter information and there are so many features we do not use. I will say my experience with the tax department has not been the best. Instead of listening to my issues and working with me to correct tax filing, I keep getting responses repeating what I already know and being told the problem is fixed when it is not.

### "Time saving and streamlined payroll software with a supportive customer service team."

November 24, 2025

4.0

took our growing company from a manual payroll system without HR recordkeeping and has streamlined many processes, saving many hours with reporting and HR tracking.

Pros

is easy to use and has a good support team. When ever something is in questions, whether a report or time card information, it is resolved quickly and usually before ending a quick telephone call.

Cons

### "HR Manager"

November 25, 2025

4.0

Overall, good. More pros than cons!! :) This is our first year using , so we have spent a lot of time with learning and implementing. We have definitely experienced some bumps in the road, but it's nice that we have a platform that contains so many efficiencies.

Pros

Time gained in efficiencies! We just launched the performance module, and are excited to not have to manually send reviews, wait on managers to do their part, wait on signatures of a PDF from all parties, etc. Everything is done in one place, and it's so nice. It's also nice to have payroll and time/labor live in one place. I love the community page. I love that employees can encourage each other and have reasons to celebrate one another (announcements of birthdays, anniversaries, other employees making posts to recognize people.)

Cons

Support. A lot of times helpful, but also on the flip side not so helpful. They may give you an answer, but not tell you all that you need to know -- which will set you up for failure later. I can't tell you how many times I have received a response from them starting out with "Unfortunately..." We have just come to accept that it is what it is with support. Also, I'd like to add that workflows are actually very limited and nuanced. They aren't as great as the sales people crack it up to be. Even support will agree here.

is a modern tool and their Product team seems to really listen to customer feedback because they're regularly introducing new modules or updates that are a responsive to feedback we've shared in the past. I'd recommend Paylocity in the top 3 HR tools I've worked with.

Pros

has a well designed UX and is user friendly both as an administrator & an employee. The modules are pretty easy to learn and their Help Center has a number of self-guided documents that walk you through workflows step-by-step.

Cons

A pro and a con is that does regular product updates. I like their commitment to advancing their tools but the downside is sometimes newer tools or updates are patchy at first. Usually their iron out the kinks a few weeks post launch and usually there's no problem after that.

Frustrated with a lack of effective products and agents who could advise easily.

### "It's No Cadillac, but It's Dependable & Just Needs a Tune-up"

November 19, 2025

4.0

I have about 5 years of experience with and continuously learning. We have most modules, including HR & Payroll, Benefits, Onboarding, Learning, Expense, Performance, and Time & Labor. I am the primary admin for all.

Pros

Value, cost point for the product that includes the features we use most. The modules are integrated. The EDI/integration options. Our EEs love the Expense module. I appreciate the reporting features

Cons

The account manager turnover rate and the experience level. I expect our AM to have more training and knowledge than me. I expect our AM to be able to tell me what I don't know. I expect them to be the expert. I expect them to know the full impact of making a change and how it it impacts downstream. The many limitations of admins to make configuration changes is frustrating.
