Pros My company uses Paylocity for payroll and time off/vacation tracking. It is user-friendly in every aspect. I can easily access information about my bi-weekly pay, sign up for paperless stubs, request for time-off, and keep track of my vacation days. I especially like using the Paylocity app from my phone, also very user-friendly. Cons I have not run in to any challenges when using paylocity. Review Source JD Jen D. As we have grown (more than 300 ee now), I don't feel they have the capacity to keep up. Pros Paylocity was a good system when we had less than 200 people. Their ACA support is top notch. Their web benefits solution is very good and easy to use. Cons Paylocity will implement changes and not notify the users. Paylocity has lost data twice which makes me quite uneasy. You can go back to look at older payroll information, and also that you can make instant changes to things like 401K percentages or tax related allocations and they are registered and adjusted in real time without having to wait for someone in the office to make the change Cons Some information isn't always easy to find or intuitive, and you can go down some rabbit holes before finding what you're looking for. Cons First line customer service reps are typically great at answering simple questions, but can't help with complex problems. The company does have a knowledge base employed but the experts are not your first line of contact. It may take several emails with the first line person to get to someone who can really help you. We're able to achieve of the payroll functions we need and then some. Reporting tools are also very useful to better manage our business. Pros Very intuitive user experience. Able to process payroll qucikly and easily. Cons Holiday setup. When you have part-time and full-time employees as well as different holiday pay types, it can get a bit tricky to unsure each employee is being correctly compensated. I like I can keep track of my time and it does my tax forms at the end of the year. I clock in and out and my pay is directly deposited in my checking account. " February 14, 2018 5.0 Web-based software eliminated the need for updating local installations and made it possible to process payroll and access reports even when away from the office. Pros Customizable report writer and ability to export in various formats (PDF, XLSX, CSV) was very helpful. The ability to have agency checks generated with the payroll and have child support deductions transmitted electronically were great time savers. Cons As with many feature-rich products there is a significant learning curve and I would sometimes need help finding or implements certain features. But customer support was always helpful. I'm always confused about how to go and find my PTO that I've already submitted and how to adjust my direct deposit, no matter how many times I've done it. The nomenclature of their tabs and buttons is so confusing, they have way too many things that have the same or similar names. The ideas are there, the UI/UX needs MAJOR help. One big suggestion is send your teams to the training conference for the best way to learn and manage the system. Become the expert in Paylocity and it goes a long way. Best Payroll system I ever worked with. Pros Quick to adapt and conform to new federal and state policies, such as the ACA and all it's reporting Cons Training Conference is once a year in Chicago, it would be nice to have Texas training event....... We've used the web pay system to successfully run multiple payrolls. The auto-pay feature is a time saver. I no longer have to deal with dual entry of information. The system is easy to use. The options are endless. You can tailor it to meet your specific needs. I am so glad we made the switch to Paylocity! Pros Ease of use. Infomatics are superior to other products on the market.
