Sometimes when there are problems, the ticket is responded to that everything is fine, and it's not. We feel gaslit and like the original reviewer didn't thoroughly investigate the issue before responding. This makes us frustrated and we have to respond with additional wording, screen shots and sometimes additional tickets.

Pros

is an intuitive system that has required minimal training for our staff and supervisors. It was easy to provide videos and articles to staff and eased the burden off of our team to make our own walk throughs.

Cons

Lots of development, which is great, but sometimes it causes hiccups that need to be navigated. I feel like sometimes the developments aren't communicated, or there are consequences to changes that hasn't yet realized. This is common for systems.

Overall, once you learn the quirks, is easy to use and their customer service is available and ready to help.

Pros

Customer Support is very helpful - usually very little wait time. Good value for a lower price than most of its competitors.

Cons

Some sections are difficult to customize for our needs. The reporting section is not very user friendly. We have had some issues with glitches as well, but customer service has helped us out.

Its a great platform to run one or multiple companies on. A full HRIS to support HR, Payroll, and Managers. Its easy to use and the reporting for different teams are amazing. Set up was a breeze and the continued support and growth of tools is great for our multistate company.

Pros

It can be tailored to your company and support specific company needs. If you need something done or added you get with your specific team member. Also if something is not in the budget in phase one you can always add it as you build the system as the company grows and so do the needs. My favorite feature is time tracking compliance with geo location and place to audit and put notes.

Cons

Depends how you look at it, but there are many ways to get things done - so teams do it how it fits them.

Very positive! I've used for about 5 years, and I would definitely recommend to other businesses.

Pros

It's easy to use, and their customer support is impeccable. I like the amount of modules you can add on as well.

Cons

The Time & Labor module and HR & Payroll module don't always function together well. Sometimes it will leave off important details.

I use with more confidence than other HR systems, in part because the reporting possibilities are so robust. There is definitely a learning curve, but the customer support team is easy to access. Someone is always available and responsive on the phone, and I have had nothing but good experience with the team members I've interacted with. The customer support for a product matters as much as the product itself, and the Paylocity team makes me feel supported for both simple and complex questions.

Pros

creates a smooth integration between time-tracking and HR data. I appreciate knowing all the data about my employees is in one place, but the different modules help differentiate the reporting needs. The base setup is valuable, but diving into the advanced modules, like the LMS & Skills and Certifications platforms, is so helpful, and their Onboarding system has drastically reduced the time required for our seasonal hires (of which there are a lot).

Cons

The learning curve is steep, and if you don't take the time to make sure your data is setup correctly in the initial process, it is a bit of a bear to try to correct it after the fact. The advantage of is its ability to standardize cost centers, pay bands, job titles, position codes, etc. The disadvantage to that is if you don't have those standards set in advance, or they are input correctly, it can be confusing to try to fix.

Overall, my experience with has been very positive. The system is easy to use, and employees appreciate how simple it is to access their information.

Pros

has been a great system to work with. It’s easy to use, intuitive, and makes day-to-day tasks run smoothly. I really like that everything employees need is right at their fingertips — pay stubs, benefits, and all the other essentials are easy for them to access without needing extra help. Overall, it’s a solid platform that keeps things organized and user-friendly for both HR and employees.

Cons

What I like least about is the new HOME experience. Time Off is now harder for team members to find, and it’s not as accessible as it was under the old Self-Service layout. Since it moved to Time & Labor, it has thrown a lot of employees off and created some confusion that we didn’t have before.

I use the software every day, so I have been learning many ways to utilize the software. Excited to see what new changes will be rolling out.

Pros

The setup of the software is easy to use and if you have any questions, you know where to find it. The customer service representatives are great!

Cons

The access to more reports and being able to create new reports when needed is very difficult and most likely requires help from a representative. Not always easy to use. But there have been a lot of changes lately that are helpful.

The set up was rough with our first rep, but after getting some assistance from her boss, it went much smoother. Speak up if you aren't getting what you need. The account managers are just that... they manage but have not been able to solve most problems. They just start tickets for you.

Pros

I liked the ability to add details, make it more transparent and modify the platform to fit our needs. The time tracking and details for Team Members makes it simple to use and effective in displaying the data.

Cons

We have not received what has been promised. The customer support, while friendly and quick, has not been able to resolve some of our issues and not lived up to the promises of the main basis of why we switched.

Overall my experience with has been great. It is easy to use and very intuitively organized.

Pros

is quick and easy to use, especially in comparison to similar solutions. It makes it very easy to enter and update time spent working and submit requests for time off.

Cons

I have few complaints, overall is very good, the one thing I would find useful would be some sort of feature where you can automatically pre-fill your time sheet with some sort of default value based on your regular working hours.

As this is my first time working with this company. I would not recommend it to anyone else. for the reason stated above.

Pros

The simplicity of the system itself. It is easy to navigate, and information is easy to find. The reports are detailed and easily accessible. The cost for services is a value as well. When a great rep is on the phone the customer support is nice.

Cons

Customer support is limited and there is never a manager available. There is no organization within the company. Everyone isnt trained to full client needs, meaning the right hand has no idea what the left hand is doing. Call times are longer than i have waited with any payroll company. I have been hung up on and spoken to rudely because i felt the right support wasnt being handled in a correct manner. Expediting critical matters have a very long lead time. 71 days is entirely way to long for payroll type of issues. Team collaboration doesn't seem to exist. Management doesn't like to speak with us and instead instruct the reps and tell them through it instead of being management and stepping up to the plate to resolve issues that are way past escalation, they leave management to the reps who are trying their best. Time tracking of important issues is not important. I like to be patient and let people do their job but there is no communication or follow-up.

I have been a user for 5+ years now and have overall enjoyed using it. For the most part it does everything you need, could expand on capabilities which I think is the case for most software. Hope to see continues development and enhancements.

It's simple and easy to navigate for the most part. Has a module for just about everything one would need to run a HR department.

Not as in-depth as other platforms. Could expand on some sections to allow for more abilities or functions.

Overall, I had a great experience with the product I found it to be a great value for the money. I was responsible for the implementation setup in my last role. I found the setup to be thorough, reporting intuitive and payment was seamless.

Pros

I've worked with with two different employers. Among all the time tracking system Paylocity's is my favorite. I appreciate the ease of use and the dedicated customer support team.

Cons

When I transitioned from my previous employer to the current, I had to (and for those optimist, I get to) transition to a new team as well. Service has not suffered, but I do miss the old team.

Overall the experience has been good. We love the system for the price we are currently paying. I think they can do a better job at taking user feedback for improvements.

Pros

provides an excellent service for the value and supports medium sized organizations really well. We love it!

Cons

They have limitations that other providers like Paycor don't. One of the biggest ones is the ability to add agencies to you recruitment so they can submit candidates into your pipeline for review while keeping up to date metrics.

I've been using for over 10 years across two businesses. They consistently update portals and are always staying ahead of the latest technology. Our dedicated representative helps us tailor the modules to suit our needs. It is an easy to use HRIS that is the best value for your money.

Pros

has minimized the need for an HR Tech stack. Every HR center of excellence has its own portal. Employee Management is a breeze with the Onboarding, HR & Payroll, and Performance Modules. It provides the greatest features needed for a small business.

Cons

I have two cons with . The first is that the Timekeeping system is not approved for Government Contracting timecards. The second is that I cannot perform all administrative features from the mobile app.

I like that It gives us the capability to set up carrier feeds for benefit providers, and I like bswift on its own.

Cons

Paylocitys customer service is awful. It feels like they don't even look at your account set up before providing an answer to your question.

Cons

I also do not like that Carbon does not make it super easy to test certain things.

Overall, I like how it has so many different modules and that the service team is easy to get in touch with quickly, whether it's over the phone or through email.

Pros

Recruitment and onboarding modules have always been great, and are connected pretty seamlessly. The HR & Payroll side has also been easy to use with keeping track of employee history adn documents.

Cons

Accruals and tracking time off have been hard to track. We have had issues with time off policies flowing over incorrectly and overpaying employees taking excess time off.

Continuous improvement. I feel like is always upgrading the software, and they do a great job of keeping us informed of what is coming next.

Cons

I like having the same person to talk to all the time but they do promote employees and as a result, sometimes, I have to learn a new service person.

Overall, I am mostly happy that we switched to . Are there things I wish were different? Of course. But there were definitely more things I wish were different with our previous provider.

Pros

I love the ease of use of the Reporting module. I also appreciate how quickly the payroll process goes. Implementation was a BREEZE compared to another HRIS we used.

Cons

We have not had the best support from customer service. After complaining many, many times, I have finally been aligned with a manager that is very good at follow through and finding solutions rather than gaffing me off.

Ease of timekeeping for employees and how that data works within the payroll processing module. Performance module and how easy it is for employees to access.

Cons

The benefits modules - the fact that there are multiple sites that have to be accessed and actions do not flow through the system in real time.

All HRIS systems have issues. I feel should focus more on client’s needs in order to support their team members. Fully training their staff on features and getting accurate guidance without being redirected to other departments for bits and pieces to a solution.

Pros

The platform is mostly easy to use and team members find it acceptable to navigate. It’s more of a value product so it won’t have everything that other solutions may have nor the level of hands on support.

Cons

Communication to clients, cross department teams and need to maintain a client centric focus. There are periods of disconnects or missed communication opportunities to clients that impacts supporting our teams.

It could be better if we did not have to keep balancing the time card with the pre processing reports

Pros

Most reports are easy. The dynamic reports can be easily organize for whatever you want. Report writer is another useful tool but can be complex.

Cons

Time card does not balance. It keep changing even when it is locked. I print the time card on Tuesday and on Wednesday it changes to something else. Employee are paid 8/80 for overtime but I have several employee that will change to 88 regular hours which should be a max of 80
