I wasn't part of their Payroll integration, so only used the time tracking component. Pros Paylocity does all its development in-house and it seems to be tailored to the smail to mid-sized employers. You don't get the clunkyness of multiple systems trying to integrate on the backend or the lack of customization to your needs (if you're a smaller employer). The training on the software is also pretty good. The geofence set up is a lot better than our last system. Cons They need to do some work on their mobile app but its not bad. It was easy to look up employee information and adding employees. In addition, I loved the Onboarding process. Cons I thought some of the reports were a little difficult to navigate. Pros We are a size where it makes sense to bring payroll back in house and this software fit the bill: it was easy to use, implement, and didn't cost an arm and a leg. July 9, 2018 5.0 Pros We have trialed and used 3 different time keeping systems over the last year at the company I work for and Paylocity is easy. We were not offered great training when we launched Paylocity, but I was able to navigate and figure all needed areas on my own. Cons Between the Self Service Portal, Web Time, and Web Pay, it is confusing to know where to go to find what. It shows our employees their paychecks electronically and allows them to access their information more on demand. Cons Submitting time off on the website is a little more challenging than it is on the app. It forces you to enter the number of hours you are requesting off vs the number of days. It was very easy to download them and print them out when needed. I also enjoyed being able to electronically download my tax forms. Cons I think their customer service department needs to improve. The Paylocity developers need to make the website user friendly. Get some advise from mobile app developers. Pros The phone app is amazing. Employees can input the time, schedule vacation etc. much easier in Android application. Cons The website sucks and opposite of Mobile application. It takes multiple steps and a number of wrong turns to get to the place where an employee can approve time. June 23, 2022 5.0 Paylocity is a very modern way to deal with staff schedules, payouts, vacation time, schedule shifts and so much more! As a production assistant, it has made my life a lot easier! Pros I work as a production assistant for multiple companies and this most recent company introduced me to Paylocity! It's super convenient to be able to have an application on your phone that allows you to clock in your hours in addition to then being paid directly to your bank account through the direct deposit set-up feature! Since the hours and schedules are usually crazy and all over the place, this makes organizing your hours/payouts as a PA very simple and convenient! Cons The application and its features will take a little getting used to. It's been quite a few jumps that we've made around the payroll world to find the right platform for us. Paylocity has such a clean integration with our time keeping software that running payroll is a breeze every pay period! Cons Initially it did take our payroll gal in the office some time to adjust to the new platform with Paylocity. The good news is that Paylocity has excellent onboard support staff available to make the transition as seamless as possible.
