Generally, I enjoy using the system. I like how organized it is and how quickly I can find solutions in the LMS. Sometimes the info in the LMS is too much for me to understand, so reaching out to our Account Manager is always helpful. Someone usually reaches out to me before the day's end!

Pros

I like how easy the platform is to use. And their LMS is vast and in-depth. The basic training I received helped get me through the basics, which is what I use our HRIS mainly for: personnel records, payroll, benefits, and an ATS.

Cons

I am brand new to any sort of HRIS so doing things on my own is hard. If an LMS can't help me, then the support of our Account Manager is necessary. Sometimes our AM is not available, so we get sent to another manager for help. Whenever too many people are involved, info can get lost.

My overall experience with Paylocity has been very positive. It has greatly improved our payroll and HR processes by centralizing everything into one platform. While there was a learning curve at the beginning, once familiar, the system becomes a powerful and reliable tool. I would recommend Paylocity to other companies looking to improve efficiency and organization.

Pros

Paylocity offers a very user-friendly platform with a wide range of features all in one place, including payroll, time tracking, and HR tools. I especially like the automation capabilities and reporting options, which help streamline processes and save time. The system also makes it easy to manage employee data and improves overall operational efficiency.

Cons

There is a significant learning curve when first getting started with Paylocity, especially for new users who are not familiar with HRIS systems. I describe my experience as positive. It is very easy to use for a complex system. It handles all aspects of HR and Payroll that you need. Help desk are very knowledgeable.

Pros

The ease of the data integration. It was so simple to provide Paylocity with the information and they took care of the data integration seamlessly.

Cons

The massive amount of training. Also, to click the help button can send you on a hunt and peck trek for the answer.

The sales and implementation period were great with Paylocity! We worked with very knowledgable and capable staff. Once implementation was over, the customer service team we were assigned to left a lot to be desired.

Pros

Love the interface of Paylocity. It's fairly easy to find things and use the system. Implementation team was great and we loved our sales team too!

Cons

The time away totals are not always correct. Difficult to adjust and have them display the correct amount on the employee side. Tremendous amount of trouble with filing taxes for our organization. Customer support is lacking. Takes several days for someone to address your complaint or problem.

Easily find what I need in the modules, easy to find answers to questions using the AI assistant and information within Paylocity. If an answer is difficult to find or I don't understand, the service with our Paylocity Team is quick and very helpful to dig deeper.

Pros

Customer service and ease of navigation. Also the constant updates for improvement, making it better and better.

Cons

Employees working across more than one FEIN, causes some issues but they are workable. Paylocity even found a workaround for one issue we were having.

Lag time to receive accurate information for legal compliance concerns. It depends on who you get on the phone. Some are knowledgeable, but others I feel as though I am training them!

Pros

The customer support is outstanding! It's easy to use and the price is right! I like that I can reach out to my account manager at any time and will get a quick response back to any issue that I may be having.

Cons

I don't really have any issues with Paylocity. I do think there should be dates in Labor Allocation as to when an allocation is changed.

Cons

Not all changes made in HR & Payroll, transition to Time & Labor and vice versa. You have to remember to make the changes in all areas.

I like the fact that one system can do pretty much everything that I need it to do. Previously I was working with 3 systems.

Cons

The way that issues are tracked could be improved on. Tickets vs cases should be explained better & we should have a way to track them both with ease. Change of AMs without being notified.

Enhancing a few areas for greater flexibility and integration would make an already strong system even more powerful.

Pros

Paylocity delivers excellent value for the money. I've worked with many payroll and HCM systems in the past and this is by far the most comprehensive and user friendly. It's apparent that a lot of time went into making it what every HR person desires. It's intuitive and easy to navigate, making day to day HR and payroll tasks efficient. The star of the system is the payroll and time tracking modules, which are accurate and compliant.

Cons

While Paylocity offers a wonderful suite of resources, there are a few areas where enhanced flexibility would better support unique organizational needs. For example, the Voice module is fantastic, and the dashboard results and heat maps are impressive; however, because we customized our survey to reflect our culture, we weren't able to fully utilize those dashboards or analytics. Another area is the Goals module withing performance. While it's a strong tool in concept, it would be even more valuable if it clearly demonstrated the cascading alignment of organizational, departmental, team, and individual goals. Additionally, integrating goals more seamlessly into the performance review form would save time and reduce redundancy--currently the two operate separately, requiring goals to be re-entered during the review setup.

The layout of the platform is very user-friendly; I also like the Knowledge Base section to help search for functionality and other FAQ's.

Cons

Customer service has been lacking the past year or so, in my experience. I've also been looking for certain functionality that is not available in the platform. For example, I've run into issues creating my own training content, uploading links, etc.

Pros

The community feature! Also data insights is really helpful. The reports feature has gotten easier to use too.

Cons

Payroll and time and labor don't talk with each other so it makes for duplicated efforts. Ex: Vacation time is payroll generated. So it throws PTO balances off vs them being in real time or updated overnight.

Pros

Paylocity has so many different capabilities. At previous businesses we have used several HRIS platforms to accomplish certain tasks, but here, we have used Paylocity for everything. Absolutely love the integration features.

Cons

Sometimes the reports are not accurate. It seems as though the system will pull information from departments I am not needing.

It has been great! As I stated previously, we have been with Paylocity since 2019 and have watched it evolve tremendously. The system has 'kept up' with other platforms and I am seeing cool new features coming out every couple of months. The system is very user friendly, even the app, which has been a huge plus, especially with employees who are not tech-savvy.

Pros

Paylocity checks a lot of the boxes for us- We use it for HR tracking, payroll processing and management, time sheet tracking, scheduling, performance tracking, computer trainings and much more. It offers a lot of different products that can help organizations in any field. If you are ever in need of assistance, its a quick phone call or an email and you are getting answers. There might not always be a solution in the moment, but they will work to escalate things for you if the representatives can't figure it out themselves. I also enjoy that the turnover in our support team has been relatively low. I have a pretty good idea of most members who frequently help us and I value their knowledge that they bring to the table. They are well versed in Paylocity and I trust that they are doing what they can to give us the best support possible. Lastly, cost has been pretty affordable in comparison to other platforms. When I was looking at other platforms recently, the cost was easily doubled. We have been with Paylocity since 2019 and overall we are pretty happy.

Cons

There are times when I am in need of assistance and will get different answers based on what representatives you are working with. However, I try to avoid that by connecting with our account manager or other individuals who are on our support team. We have also been experiencing a lot more technical glitches in the last year which has been frustrating. However, I do understand that the system is complex and sometimes it takes time to find solutions.

Implementation was okay, as stated above. Sales team did their job of selling a magnificent product. However, now it's not as easy to use as promised.

Pros

The Community page is different from past HRIS providers. We have utilized the expense feature for wellness reimbursements which is helpful to streamline the process.

Cons

The service team assigned to you is not what was promised. The so-called dedicated representative is essentially just a call operator who passes your concerns to others. Support tickets often take days to receive a response and can drag on for weeks or even months before reaching a resolution. They expect customers to troubleshoot and learn how to use their system by reading their own “PEAK” articles, which isn’t realistic for busy teams. Implementation went smoothly and seemed promising at first, but once that phase ended, the experience has gone downhill. PTO system is horrible compared to ADP.

Overall, my experience has been great! It’s helped streamline HR processes, reduce errors, and improve communication with employees. I really appreciate how it makes everything, from onboarding to payroll,simple and efficient. Definitely a system I’d recommend to other HR teams.

Pros

I love how user-friendly and organized Paylocity is. Everything from payroll to time tracking and employee communication is all in one place. The mobile app is super convenient too, I can approve timecards, view paystubs, and send messages without having to log in from a computer.

Cons

Sometimes the site runs a little slow when switching between modules, and a few reports can be tricky to find at first. But once you get used to the layout, it’s pretty smooth.

Paylocity is a good idea but not perfectly executed. The customer service is generally pretty good, but some issues they just don’t have fixes to.

Pros

Paylocity is a huge upgrade from our prior system. It saves us a lot of time and keeps employee information well organized and searchable.

Cons

It does not seem like it’s made for companies with over 30 employees. We run into a lot of issues with our 500 plus staff members. Employees’ direct deposit info changes without their permission, terminated employees have become reactivated, and simple actions like reactivating a multiple changes or other bulk edits are extremely tedious.

It has been good. I feel like with the amount of business we give there are nuances expected, but our customer service rep Matt has really made a lasting impact.

Pros

Our customer Service Rep is wonderful; we get quality service from him everywhere we have a question or issue. The software is very user friendly, and very east to pick up and learn. The system also has great training system to help new employees get acclimated quickly to using the system.

Cons

Sometimes I feel it would help if end users have the ability to be able to do certain things. For example, if a PTO policy needs updating it would be helpful for us to have that access instead of having to place a ticket for support.

Overall the experience has been great. Easy to use and understand. I need to get more time to dive into some of the training and finish some of the set up and use of the product to maximize our efficiency.

Pros

I liked that it is pretty much an all-in-one solution. No more manually keeping track of vacations/sick time in spreadsheets, or maintaining paper documents in filing cabinets. The time tracking to payroll is easy. Customer support is always friendly and the whole product is easy to use. We've even used recruiting and the movement from there to onboarding is smooth.

Cons

The only thing I had a problem with, because it seemed inefficient, was the lack of collaboration during the importing from our previous provider. The process created multiple errors that really soured the first couple of payrolls.

I have had a lot of success utilizing Paylocity and for most everything I do with it, I find that it is easy and user friendly.

Pros

At least in my organization, we have a lot of modules, so I love everything everything I do in HR on Paylocity. That alone saves me so much time and effort.

Cons

I think that the reporting structure could use improvement. I sometimes feel that the ability to create a report I need is limited by the kind of information I can pull. On the flip side there are times I struggle to build a report because there is too much information to choose from, and a lot of things have the same name but do not do the same thing.

Overall as a business we love the time tracking, request off, time off tracking and scheduling portion - We do have some recommendations for the scheduling module. Customer support has been responsive when I have needed them for troubleshooting an out of the ordinary situation.

Pros

The ability to have all of our HR and payroll related information in one place as well as the ability to do manage attendance, employee reviews etc.

Cons

There are times when it is not intuitive to navigate. I also wish that there was a pdf version of PEAK that would allow me to search and read about all of the info without having to jump from screen to screen or watch videos. My learning style is more conducive to reading instructions vs. watching them on video. Also, our initial set up could have been better. There are still a few things that are still not set up in the way that I think would be most efficient.

I had heard good things about Paylocity through other NCG Co-ops, including one that switched from Paylocity to Paycom and then switched back

Gusto was not very good at being able to track our time off polices and it made reporting time off accruals in our financials as well as tracking hours used/earned more difficult.
