I would say good. Like every software it has it's ups and downs but the customer service is very good.

Pros

After the initial set-up, the system is fairly easy to use once you get the hang of it. The customer service is pretty good too. The reports are extremely helpful and easy to use also. And of course the Elevate Conference but I miss it being in person.

Cons

The custom calc and integration teams move extremely slow! At year end, we only get a day or 2 to get 3rd party pay entered. That's difficult when we don't get our Short Term Disability Reports from our insurance carriers until the 11th hour on December 31st. Year end is always stressful for everyone. An extra day or 2 would help. That the Elevate Conferenct is still virtual. It's so beneficial to meet and network in person and I personally get so much more out of the conference when it's in person.

We have had a really great experience with and we have been on the system for one year. The implementation team and the customer service teams have been wonderful to work with.

Pros

The cost of the product is great, and the customer service from the product is really great as well. We have had amazing success with enhancements we have asked for and with a better understanding of the product. I would highly recommend the product for other hospitality companies like ours with the 500-1000 employees.

Cons

reporting: I wish there was more flexibility with the reporting within . it does lack the ability to drag and drop certain items, however we have put in requests of enhancements so we hope that in the future some of these asks will be fulfilled.

Rocky start, phenomenal usage. Our account manager has been very helpful and available- now that we have a consistent one.

Pros

One stop shop for all our HR needs. We are in love with the job posting/onboarding streamlined process. The time savings for staff in quick time- card maintenance, time off requests, and tracking their performance matters. Staff are able to focus on client needs rather than tracking time. For leadership, the performance tracking is a life saver. From shout-outs and recognition to working through performance challenges- the system really does make people management that much easier.

Cons

The initial set up had a few hiccups, in terms of account manager change overs and some system bugs. However, the team worked with us through every challenge and made sure resolutions were thorough. It can be tricky to find various reports, due to the overwhelming amount of options available, but the AI tool as well as being able to mark reports as favorites helps immensely.

The software is reliable, consistent and easy to work with. The wait time for support is minimal and the added features are helpful. Training and learning availability is also top-knotch.

Pros

offers a clear, streamlined, payroll solution with many additional enhancements and benefits that provide ease of delivery for our administrative team and our employees.

Cons

Only con is the degree in which the employers are responsible for handling tax notices, etc. I would prefer to be able to send to and have them make the corrections, entries rather than being responsible for handling myself.

We've been quite pleased with the ease of use compared to other HRIS systems and would recommend it to others who are struggling to find a good one!

Pros

Everything is all in one place, which is great and they are constantly making updates based on our feedback. Our account managers have been helpful. I do feel that I've also saved time with many of their products, when set up properly.

Cons

Some of the products require a lot of setup and configuration prior to putting them to use, and being a 1 man show for our HRIS means a lot of manual labor for me.

I love . It's the best move I ever made. Employees able to clock in themselves and then transferring it to a paycheck is the absolute best. I highly recommend this product to anyone. I also like that customer service gets back to you within 24 hours. Customer service can make or break the product. Paylocity definitely does a great job with this.

Pros

Wonderful customer service. Response time is usually the same day. Time card integration is great. I used to do payroll manually and this is defiantly a time saver. Then we went to Quicken, but I still have to manually pay the taxes manually. I had to figure them out then go to the websites and enter them in. No more. does it for me. I will never to payroll by hand again. So easy to use and such a time saver. Changing of our payroll system was one of the first things I did when I became the manager. We are a small Credit Union with 7 employees.

Cons

Recently they been making a lot of changes. I don't know if I not receiving communications, but I have been figuring out on my own the changes. Things keep moving around. Don't get me wrong, change is good. I just think more communication about where to find things that are moved would be better. Sometimes I feel like the quarterly reports take to long, but it could just be me being impatient.

I did not like the system at all. When you made a mistake it was often hours on the phone with them to try to fix it. Customer service was horrible. I still had to figure out the taxes and then go on the different website to pay them.

I have been using for about 6 years and have gone through two implementations. Both implementations were very rough. I think this is one of the biggest challenges I have had. The daily use is easy and quick. I would definitely recommend this product.

Pros

Ease of use is great. They are continually making updates that are very helpful. The product itself has great options with expense, time and labor, performance management, now asset management, HSA, Flex Spending, COBRA support, ETC. They offer great support for multi state set ups.

Cons

Customer Service lacks responsiveness on more difficult topics. There have been several times I am told one thing, but find out later the answer was not correct or I have to keep pushing them to get me answers and have to go above my representative to get answers.

The experience is shaky at best. There are some really great people, but every time we try to do something, it always gets messed up and is more difficult than expected.

Pros

I like that I can preview the paystub right in the payroll, instead of waiting to review in the payroll register.

Cons

The PTO tracking does not work as promised, and our attempts make it better have not worked either. I dislike the slow responses from the tax team. I dislike that in 2 years' time we have had 5 account managers. I dislike when I call in for help, I'm on hold for 20 minutes or more. And the person can't help me, and I never get my account manager.

We have been with for 7 years now and I wouldn't trade it for any other system. We can do everything we need from HRIS, Time Tracking, Payroll Processing, Performance Management, Expense Reimbursement, Compensation Management, Training / Learning Management, OSHA Tracking and reporting, the list goes on and on. I literally LIVE in Paylocity on a daily basis.

Pros

The system is very user friendly and has a lot of module options. When exploring other systems, we found to be both the best value per employee per month as well as the best end user experience overall. Having Paylocity file our payroll taxes for us and work with those agencies on issues has been a huge help since I'm a department of one.

Cons

There are often bugs in the system when they are rolling out new features. I don't know that it's any different than any other system when rolling out new features, but a heads up that they are aware of certain things not functioning correctly would be helpful.

Overall provides basic programming, but it could be better. Some updates make no sense and seem to make the program worst. Why fix something that isn't broken and did they try it as a user before they implement the update?

Pros

We have a dedicated customer support which is helpful when setting up the account and resolving issues. She knows all aspect of our account instead of different reps doing different things, so you have to explain things since the beginning.

Cons

Payroll checks print time in minutes and amount in cents. But when you look on the time clock, timecard, setting, and reports, they have it in .0000 for 4 digits (seconds/hundred seconds) which is overkill that makes reports column longer and cluttered, messy to view and harder to use. What you see is what you get, you don't have to use hidden data. Time logging in is a hassle when you need 2 windows open for Time/Labor and HR/Payroll and the system keeps kicking you off in the middle of your typing doing your work. Data is entered in but sometimes there are no reports to print out the data, and you are supposed to pay to have a custom report made. Why enter the data then if you can't access it or check it for accuracy?

There were a few bumps in the road but overall the transition to was very good. I'd recommend this site to people

Pros

Very easy to navigate, the reporting module had many reports that I needed, and building a report is pretty simple. The benefits module has saved me many hours of manual work. My rep is fantastic, very knowledgeable, and responds to my emails and questions pretty quickly.

Cons

The ACA module is great, but its difficult for me to get a hold of someone in that department when i have questions.

Occasionally, we face some challenges with the Time & Labor module, but overall, the system meets our needs well.

Cons

The Time & Labor module can be challenging and sometimes glitchy, causing delays and extra work for payroll. Customer support response times can be inconsistent, especially when urgent issues arise. Some features and settings are not very intuitive, which makes troubleshooting and corrections more time-consuming.

I’ve also appreciated the built-in Communication tools that keep employees engaged and informed. Most importantly, their Customer Support team has been excellent—responsive, knowledgeable, and quick to provide solutions. While there are areas that could be more customizable, Paylocity has overall streamlined our HR operations and improved the employee experience.

I've enjoyed and feel that its a great value for our money and overall great asset. Their customer support and service is superior and we always get help when needed, fairly quickly.

Pros

I enjoy the features that are available with . The mobile app is easy to use and very helpful with time keeping of employees and approving expenses. Having the mobile app helps admin save time on day to day tasks.

Cons

There are some limitation on the customization of reports. Some reports are not available to be created via Dynamic reporting, which makes it harder to read the report when we have nearly 400 employees.

Overall it is good. They have been doing lots of updates and perhaps these are a piece of the reason for the issues we experience. We are just at our year anniversary after moving over from ADP and we are not unhappy with our decision to change platforms

Pros

Customer support is great. We have weekly meeting with our rep and its been immensely helpful since our implementation back in Nov 2024. Payment processing is incredibly easy and reporting is available within minutes of submitting. Many aspects of the system are user-friendly, intuitive.

Cons

When we have an issue occur and receive the response that it is a "known occurrence" but without any timeline of when it will be fixed. Or when we bring to discussion that something is not working, provide details-screenshots, etc and then they return with that they can't recreate the issue so the issue remains unsolved. Mostly this occurs with mobile timekeeping

Been with since 2016. Overall great experience for employee and employer. Having a dedicated support person who knows our account in and out is a huge plus.

Pros

System is easy to use. Provides a sleek and modern look. Dedicated customer support team provides responses within 24/48 hours. Ability to build custom reports (at a cost). Recently went through contract negotiation that saved us a lot of money.

Cons

System limitations for some things (e.g. future pay rates for step progression pay structure). Although we recently saved money with bundle pricing, we feel should have brought our contract structure to our attention sooner.

I would love to shout out the amazing customer service of several folk who work for . I am new to my position as business manager and have had to learn the platform for our employees. I have reached out on numerous occasions and am met with patience, and care. I feel this service is money well spent, the ease of use once I am guided along, is fantastic. I also am very impressed with how customer service helped me to customize my reports that help track my payroll categories. I recommend your company to all those who I encounter who might be in the market. I truly feel it is such a value to our company's functioning.

Pros

is a user friendly HRIS platform. The Knowledge Base is beneficial when learning new features. Using keywords or sharing a key phrase brings various articles with visuals to help learn the software.

Cons

The removal of sample reports has been a little frustrating. The ability to preview a report was a useful feature to determine which reports would best meet your need.

From day one, I have been nothing but impressed. Coming from an HRIS system that was daunting and unimpressive, I was skeptical about the process of learning a new system, but made things easy, so much so that we have 3 businesses signed up with them and mapped to one company set. Talk about ease-of-use!

Pros

Customer Service is spot on. They are always prompt to answer my questions and are pleasant to work with. If they don't have the answer they will find someone who does. Best HRIS system out there!

Cons

Hmmmm, I guess I'll have to search for something to fill in the box here. I honestly don't have anything that comes to mind. All my experiences with have been positive.

Great, Excellent. Very helpfully, an easy to use system, and a friendly service team. make payroll quick, easy and fun. The clock is easy for employees to learn and use. Employee like using the paylocity app for quick reference of their paycheck.

Pros

Processing payroll with is quick and easy allowing to get on to my other duties without frustration. Every time I called or email the service department they help me quickly, efficiently and with knowledge to solve my issue.

Cons

I do not have any cons for . Other companies tell me they can offer me more at a better price, but I am very satisfied with Paylocity. I do not want to every try another Payroll company because Paylocity meet all of my needs perfectly.

From an admin point of view, there are some reports that would be nice to have access to before going through all the motions to finalize payroll.

The customer service response has been great. However, the system not being able to integrate seamlessly across different modules makes our HR processes difficult to manage at times.

Pros

The support we receive from our account manager has been the most effective over the past year......

Cons

The modules to not integrate seamlessly which creates a lot of manual processes. Having to remember to make changes in different areas becomes a compliance issue. Additionally, since the modules don't integrate and function as more modern HRIS systems we spend a lot of time having to input the same information in different parts of a person's profile.
