### "Love Paylocity - Worth it!"

My experience has been really great. Our company loves paylocity as it has made everything so much easier to manage without worrying if it is being done right.

Pros

The app and how employees can look over everything on there. That there are integrations that work with paylocity that makes things easier Example it integrates with quickbooks. The HR avaliability and having our own desginated onboarding personal to help us set-up is amazing.

Cons

That approving the time and payroll run is on a seperate page. I think at times everything that is provided is a little overwhelming. I wish that there was a little more communication and follow up like quarterly to go over our services and remind us that we have those services avaliable.

Pros

I really enjoy the customer service experience. Every representative is very knowledgeable and guides me to a solution when I am stressed out dealing with a time sensitive matter(s).

Cons

Longer wait times on the phones for support recently. Also the cost of integrations and the length it takes to make them happen. However I know that is a given with any HRIS.

Paylocity has been so easy to work with, redesign our setup and make the platform work efficiently for us an dour team. The person who originally set it up only set i tup to work for payroll. Now it works for all departments and the team!

Pros

Ease of use, many options to help our team stay connected. The fact we can run performance reviews from the system and keep track of them year after year. The way the help contact is designed makes finding answer so much easier than other platforms.

Cons

I don't have an least "like" of Paylocity. Paylocity is so mobile friendly and easy to learn and use what's not to like about it compared to other systems.

It was good in the beginning (8 years ago), but the extreme growth they have experienced has caused major customer service issues for clients. Lots of mistakes, missed communications, and having to repeat things to them over and over. Seems like they are trying to address this but it's still not great.

Pros

Good employee experience. Easy to navigate. Continual enhancements to stay current with competition.

Cons

Poor customer service from an administrator's standpoint. No ability to talk directly with various departments (ie. Tax, Reporting, etc.) which leads to way too much "pass the message along" and lots of wasted time. "Dedicated" customer service teams get changed on the client constantly, so there is no way to build a relationship. Slow to make needed software changes when issues are found.

Pros

Especially good on collaboration for HR & Finance teams, a bit tricky to learn however once you learn the features it is easy to use.

Cons

We had a slow start with our original onboarding Paylocity, but it had improved since we added the latest modules.

I’ve used many payroll systems over the years, and Paylocity is definitely my favorite. It’s easy to use once you get the hang of it, and it has everything you need to manage everything one place.

Pros

Paylocity has a lot of great features and can be customized to fit your needs. It’s reliable, runs smoothly, and their customer support team is always quick to help when you need it.

Cons

Because there’s so much you can do in the system, it can take a little time to figure out how to set things up. However, their support team is really helpful and always ready to jump in to help.

The ability to integrate different features of their software. You have the ability to add on to your existing product to make it customizable to you. It is easy to use for employees and a great value for employers. You are able to clearly see any data you want to. Integrates easily with other 3rd parties.

Cons

Some of the features are not as customizable as you would expect. Being able to have the software tailored to you would be more advantageous.

Cons

That said, one of the main challenges with Paylocity is the response time for escalated support tickets. While standard support is generally adequate, escalated issues can take longer than expected to resolve. This delay can create bottlenecks, especially when time-sensitive payroll or HR issues are involved, and can impact overall efficiency. Faster and more consistent resolution times for escalated cases would significantly improve the overall user experience.

Very good platform - makes doing payroll easy don't have to worry that when eligible the employee gets benefits added and 401k payments made

Pros

easy to use sets up health insurance deductions - pays 401k contribution - never late or forget to pay

Cons

sometimes finding the right reports is difficult - could filter the reportin section better to make it easier to find the right one

Customer service is excellent and always friendly and the payroll is easy to use and I love all the information you can put into the employees file.

Cons

I have not found anything I don't like yet. It is kinda hard to find the exact report you need, because there is so many.

As a first-time user, it has been pleasant and easy to pick up. It integrates very nicely with different systems and tools also!

Pros

I appreciate the easy-of-use, instruction guides, clear customer support, and that it is constantly innovating. The more intuitive, the better!

Cons

I feel like there are some processes that could be more streamlined or clear. For example, pulling reports isn't that straightforward - I think it's just appearance in the system. I would also love to see more ease-of-use for companies that due 401K Match calculations. This is pretty manual.

This is my first time using Paylocity and honestly, I wouldn't even THINK about changing payroll providers! They've been great!

Pros

Great customer service, easy to get a live representative on the phone, super responsive and solution oriented.

Cons

I've discovered that there are minor glitches in their system or maybe not always the best audit trail but nothing major.

My overall experience with Paylocity as been good. At first we had a few hiccups, but we have since been able to resolve them.

Pros

We like the support and cost savings, and the fact that we can streamline our processes under one platform.

Cons

We have had a slower process with getting assigned an HRC, but we are on track now. We are planning to change our onboarding process by utilizing the Paylocity features.

Integrations with other systems for 401k, benefits, etc. Very easy and helpful and has been a great help when it comes to completing payroll.

Cons

The customer service. A lot of times I will call Paylocity and they will be unsure of a solution. At times I will have more knowledge then the Paylocity rep and it makes it hard for a solution.

Pros

I like that all of our HR stuff is in one place. We have onboarding, comp, marketplace, performance, recruiting.

Cons

The reps sometimes are not up to speed or knowledgeable and it takes time to get the answers on email. Some of the modules could be more user friendly.

Employees were happy with the switch; they find it easy to clock in and out on their phone and request time off. Managers find it easy to keep track of their employees and payroll is a breeze to do every week. So happy we switched to Paylocity!

Pros

We had a great experience switching payroll providers to Paylocity. We were able to save money and add services for our employees as well. Our support team made the transition smooth and easy.

Cons

So far we are happy with everything. It can be a little overwhelming with all of the options, but they have a great knowledge base to help learn it all.

My employer actually switched back to Paylocity as an HRIS after being in ADP. I used Paylocity at my previous company pre-acquisition and experienced no issues. Now that we switched over post-acquisition, it seems like they are less complications with managing a larger workforce and it's more user-friendly.

Pros

Paylocity has a very simple portal from the employee perspective with managing both payroll and employee development functionalities like performance management.

Cons

The SSO function sometimes causes trouble logging in. I've had to save an email with the unique SSO link to navigate directly into the portal with SSO.

Someone is always available with customer service, sometimes on hold for a bit but it is not bad at all. User friendly. I like the community/announcements feature.

Cons

As an administrator, not being able to mirror others accounts to ensure account access is correct. There have been certain ways we want to set things up and the system does not allow it. Especially with time off accruals.

The service staff is always readily available and able to help when needed! The program is easy to use and if you need help there are tons of article to help you through.

Cons

No cons. I don't not like anything. The rewards and recognition was a little challenging for me to figure out as some employees had personal emails attached.

With any change in systems payroll needs to be tracked closely, the software works just eval it before it goes out.

Pros

Paylocity definitely meets are needs as a small practice, I find their program easy to use. The reporting options are very flexible. Multiple ways to get help through customer service and a lot of tutorials available for training or explore options. They have a robust system for providing all of your human resource needs not just payroll. I believe Paylocity is a great company and the best for your money.

Cons

There is really nothing bad I can say against Paylocity. I have had nothing but a positive experience with them. I have not use all they have to offer, so I cannot comment on all of their programs.

Overall the experience has been great we have used this system for over 10 years and even though there are things that can be enhanced, its doing what its supposed to do right now.

Pros

The easy way to complete payroll. There hasn't been a time the system has been down and not able to get into it. Overall a good HRIS system to support our staff.

Cons

Reporting and document handling. It would be nice to run better/clearer reports. For document handling it would be nice to have easier ways to send out contracts.
