“Administrative Director”

OverallIt is more time efficient with respect to hand entering time. There also is the fact that you can't make a punch-in error. All in all, over time I think this will be a great solution. There is just a lot to learn up front.
ProsIt is very convenient that it flows directly into Payroll. You can still make changes once it has been sent to the Payroll side, which is very nice in case you miss something. It saves a lot of time entering everyone's various hours, PTO, sick, etc. It is a huge time saver from that respect. The steps to do payroll are quite a bit more, but it is still nicer than entering all the time.
ConsTrying to fix a time card where someone either forgot to punch out or punched out/in late and has to be corrected tends to be an issue. Additionally, when looking at the time off calendar it will only show so many names and then you have to click another button to see the remaining names of the people who are off. I wish the calendar would expand to allow all names to show so no scheduling errors would occur.

“Paylocity Web Time ”

OverallIn our company, we use Paylocity Web Time to record the time we work for each day, which allows us to reflect our accountability to our supervisor in real-time regardless of whether he/she is in the office, at a meeting off-site, or out in the field.
ProsI've been using the Paylocity application for two years. I use Web Time to clock in for the day, sign out to take a break or lunch, or to clock out at the end of each work day. I also use the Web Time feature to request time off when I need to schedule a professional day off (PTO). The thing I like most about Paylocity and the Web Time feature is how easily accessible it is. So whether a user works in an office or out in the field, Paylocity Web Time is easily available to use for the user via their desktop, laptop, tablet, or phone.
ConsIn the past two years, I have yet to discover a con about the Web Time feature.

“Great for Remote Worker”

OverallI love Paylocity. My only con isn't an everyday issue that many users will encounter. It was mainly my bad luck. I would highly recommend this product for those that work remotely. I love that I don't have to get to a computer to clock in and out. The app is super easy to use, a child can figure it out in a jiffy.
Prosclock in / clock out from ANYWHERE Keep track of your hours with a simple click missed punch? No problem. you can fix it yourself (if your HR didn't lock you out of it that is) Impressions section: Your company can give you praises and make it public.
ConsThere was a time that my bank account got compromised so my direct deposit info needed to be changed. It took my HR department a long time to get my info updated and for my pay check to be sent. I work remotely so Paylocity sent my paycheck to my company's office then my company sent the pay check to me through snail mail... with bad luck usps lost the letter.... getting my paycheck processed again took an entire pay period to receive my paycheck.

“The most easy to use timeclock software to date!”

OverallSimple to use, Employee friendly
ProsFirst off, this is part of a suite of programs that work together, to reap the benefits you really need to have all three, but can be used separately. This is hands down a very easy program to use, it takes minimal training to get employees up to speed, they can clock in/out via stations at work or on their phones through an app, it is geofensed to their work location to help prevent fraud. it has a scheduler built in which makes this program that much more valuable in my opinion. adjusting time punches is a cinch, approving PTO is easy, in general this is a very deep piece of software that is very easy to use.
ConsOverall I haven't found any Cons, its very stable, easy to use and laid out very well. we've been using it for about a year with no issues.

“Easy-to-use Web Time System”

OverallPaylocity Web Time is a very user friendly platform. I am a user (non-manager), and I use it to clock in and out each day, which is very easy. There is also an app you can use to clock in/out when away from the office, which is extremely helpful when traveling. I really like how much data the dashboards provide, and it's in a nice layout. I can easily keep track of my PTO balances & requests, view my timesheet and overall hours. This system is much easier and more intuitive than other web time services I have used at previous jobs.
Prosuser friendly, easy layout to understand, dashboards show me all the information I need to keep track of (clock in/out time, PTO balances, timesheet view etc)
ConsIf you accidentally clock out, you have to wait a few minutes before clocking back in (same with starting a lunch break), which is a bit annoying but not an issue as long as you remember to clock back in.

“The organization I work for uses Paylocity to track work hours and pay!”

ProsI love the "Impressions" feature- you can award fellow employees with impressions of good work they have accomplished, and everyone can read them. It's a great way to acknowledge a job well done! The time-tracking is fairly easy to use, as well. I like that the home page shows every area that I would need to navigate to, and I can do so quickly.
ConsIt was a little hard to figure out at first. You have to click "approve" after typing in your hours, before clicking save. Maybe it is different for other organizations, but that part confused me at first. We type our hours in manually and I was clicking "save" but no hours were being recorded because I hadn't first clicked "approve".

OverallOverall it is a great platform that is simple to use and easy to navigate through when we need to update our personal information.
ProsWe have a wide age rage for employees so it was very easy to use and explain for everyone across the board. We get good feedback on the platform and they enjoy access through the app as well.

“Somewhat outdated, a little clunky, but ultimately functional.”

OverallIt tracks time and keeps records like it's supposed to, but the features and functionality are lacking.
ProsFirst and foremost, the product does its job. Our company uses both Web Pay and Web Time, and one of the biggest issues I have is that the two do not communicate smoothly. Overall, the system tracks time, works OK with the time clock (we have the hand punch clock), and alerts supervisors of missed punches... even though they don't receive an email or notification -- like I said, it's clunky but it works.
ConsThe example I gave in my review of Web Pay is that PTO history and requests won't show up in Web Pay, so supervisors will have to view separate PTO/time off calendars if they want visibility of both hourly and salaried employees. Another complaint about Web Time specifically is that it is not AT ALL intuitive. It will often take me hours to find a single setting, and often there will be another setting on another page that will have to be edited or the change won't take effect. For example, I can make an employee a supervisor and give him or her visibility over designated employees within a certain tab. If I want that change to go into effect, however, I have to go into a different tab within the user's profile and change settings there also. They do not provide adequate training materials and customer service is a NIGHTMARE. You'll never get the same answer twice, and you'll have to save every single email because they have given me poor and COSTLY advice more than once.

“Love the App”

ProsThe app makes this so much better. The fact that we can log in and fix our approvals or check our balances away from the office is great. I also like getting the push notifications when the vacation is approved.
ConsThe time off request form is hard to find on the desk top since I have to go to a couple different screens instead of having it readily accessible. I don't know if that is their setup though or our company's choice.

OverallI have had a great experience with Web Time. The user interface is simple and the real benefits come through on the admin side. I love the reporting tools it provides as it allows us to better manage all things time and attendance.

“Gets the job done!”

OverallThe Web Time software gets the job done and I am definitely glad that our company uses this tool.
ProsI like the way it keeps track of the employees time and alerts the time keeper when an employee has missed punches. I also like the fact that it has an app that the employees that work mainly in the communities can clock in their time without being in the main building.

“Paylocity's Web App is Subject to Freezing and Crashing”

ProsIt's convenient and simple. I like that it is also customizable.
ConsIn my opinion, you should not be allowed to clock in twice, or the app should at least ask "Are You Sure?" This caused major headaches at my old place of business. In addition, to clock in and save, employees must also enter a clock out time right then, which is incorrect and not practical.

“Clocking in and out made easy”

OverallI work out in the field and being able to clock in without having to be actually be in the building is great. I can clock in an out when i am ready for lunch too. Very Cool.
ProsI work doing outreach and being able to clock in and out from my phone is so convenient.

Prosyou can access and see your time clock from your cellphone if you are not by a computer. it is very quick and easy to submit PTO orr just simply clock in.
ConsThe way that the site rounds your time clock isn't convenient. If your 1 min past the "cut off" time it adds an extra 15 min to your work day or possibly your lunch that you didn't actually take.

“Love this software!”

ProsEasy to use. Great for seeing where employees have worked since it runs off GPS. When people work at multiple locations, the GPS functions becomes very handy to determine pay centers. Easier than a time clock since you clock in and out on your phone.
ConsYou can only approve employees time worked or time off on a desktop or laptop. It would be great to do it from the phone app. Correcting punches can be tedious when the program doesn't accept what you have entered.

“Use this for Work”

OverallI use this to fill out my time sheet every day/week pretty much for my current job. It's easy to login and out. I can access my paystubs, PTO, benefits and employee information from one place. This is important to me, I don't have to remember separate logins or have several things open to view my information.

“Seeing my payroll as well as managing the hourly workers time cards is easy and very useful.”

ProsSeeing the productivity of my team by looking at the hours they worked as well as the areas they worked in is very helpful to manage the workflow going forward. The ability to see my pay stubs throughout the year and keep track of any changes made to the tax rates etc. is very helpful too. I used to have to dig though my file, now I just do a quick search.
ConsThe punch in punch out features are quite finicky relative to the user and the proximity sensors in the devices they are using. It created problems at first, but now that they know where to go to punch in without problems, it has been much better.

OverallIt's easy to view time off and approve weekly timecards.
ProsIt is so easy to monitor and approve staff timecards. I'm also able to quickly make changes to their time cards. I appreciate how it keeps track of how much time off each employee has and how their requested time off is doing.
ConsIt is not that easy as an administrator to update the news portion of paylocity. It's a bit clunky and not photo rich like other intranet options.

“I used Paylocity for the clock in and payroll functions. Also used the ATS for applicant tracking.”

ProsEase of use, intuitive flow, accuracy, it had all features necessary for a mid size organization. I especially liked the intuitiveness of the applicant tracking system and ability to view the history of each applicant. Payroll was user friendly.
ConsIt had limited reporting capabilities such as FMLA times and report generation. A system to track paid or unpaid FMLA time and ability to generate corporate wide reports would be valuable.

ProsTransfer of information from one payroll company to Paylocity was pretty seamless. Customer support is great.

“We use this software for employees to clock in and out and request time off and we love it!”

OverallEmployees have the ability to keep track of their hours and time-off requests in an organized fashion. It's also a plus being able to have an electronic copy of your pay stub.
ProsEase of use and the ability to keep track of your timesheet and pay stubs as well as requesting vacation time.
ConsWe have noticed the software freezing or timing out quite often. Although it's a quick fix (quitting and restarting the program) I feel as if this could be addressed.

“It's evolving!”

OverallI like that the employees can use web time on their phones, so remotely fill in their time cards while they are out.
ProsI like being able to view the time cards one by one, and set up our programs individually with not much trouble.
ConsWe went through some growing pains with Paylocity. What I do see sometimes are changes made to the software and we are not notified. Also, if someone had 0 accrued time to use and some how bypasses the warning - it can cause trouble on the back end and get paid for time not earned if not caught beforehand.

“Paylocity Web Time ”

ProsWeb TIme works great. I like the ease at which it pulls into the Web pay product. its simple and easy to use for all staff, even those that are less tech savvy
ConsI continue to get complaints from staff that the clock in or clock out buttons are not highlighted correctly. This leads to many mistakes on the in/out time. One person showed me that when clocking out it is the clock in button that is highlighted orange and when in a hurry they click the colored button.

“Sophisticated ATS ”

ProsSystem is able to track time and tie to clients. Users are able to clock in and clock out from an app on their phone. Easy to train users on this module.

“Great Payroll and HR Software!”

OverallEasy to use Time Saver More accurate and on time payroll The report features allow us to visually see what we were unable to see previously
ProsWeb Pay by Paylocity has been fantastic for us! We were previously using Time Force, and cannot believe how much time and money we have saved since making this switch. This software is extremely user friendly and has given our employees better access to manage their time off requests as well as manage their payroll. This software also comes with great reporting tools. Easy customization.
ConsWe are still learning all of the tools this software has to offer. So far we have not found any notable cons, other than the price of the software. The price of this software more than pays for itself with the time it saves, and the accuracy it provides.

“Super simple system”

ProsVery simple system. Switching from biometric system to a SAAS system was a huge upgrade. No more punching on a clock to start work.
ConsIntegration with Paylocity is good but Paylocity as a whole has its issues. Still a growing system with better competitors.

“We use this to track timesheets (OT) and days off!”

ProsPretty easy to use, and the user interface is pretty easy to work with; the dashboard in the log in page is very user friendly for submitting time, clocking in and out and requesting additional time away from work!
ConsI really don't have any cons for this software; really the ease of use makes this probably one of the best experiences I've had in an application yet.

“Basic, but works”

ProsPretty basic design and format. I like having multiple parts of my profile on a single page like, time card, pay checks, pto etc.
ConsIt doesn't always catch my clock in or out time. Sometimes I click it and it says I'm clocked in, butit doesn't register my time. I have to then contact HR, so that's kinda annoying.

“Paylocity Web Time”

OverallOverall Web Time is effective and meets needs. It's easy to use and doesn't seem to have any bugs, just a couple features to improve.
ProsVery intuitive user interface, multiple places to log time and schedule changes. The employee time off calendar is great for seeing who is gone and when to help plan ahead for meetings and projects.
ConsOnce a time off request is submitted there is no way to edit it. Things come up and time specifics change. It would be nice if a feature could be incorporated where people can revise their time off requests which would trigger a re-approval as opposed to having to delete the original request and make an entirely new one.

“Easy! ”

ConsThe only con....the mobile app and desktop app do not have the same function. For example the mobile app does not allow you to approve time sheet.

“Love Web Time”

OverallUsing Web Time makes payroll processing so much easier, the ability to approve everything, and double check all from the same page saves so much time.
ProsWeb Time is awesome, allows employees to enter their own time, and gets sent to the manager for approval. The function to approve all time from one page is excellent, and effecient.
ConsThe only down side would be that if you have an employee that is not great with computers, they may have trouble. But they can call their hours in instead.

“This is a helpful tool for tracking time, with plenty of good options”

ProsI like how this is able to be used to keep track of hours worked, etc. And there are good variety of options that you can select from when working with this and filling out your time.
ConsIt is weird how when entering hours you need to use military time, but I understand it. And sometimes I think it also would be nice to have the option to fill out multiple rows with the same time, when you haven't been filling it in every day.

“I dislike interfacing with this software. Its neither user friendly nor is it easy to navigate.”

ProsIf you have someone on staff as your designated Paylocity expert who frequently works with it, then you can make it work for you with them as a reference.
ConsWithout the help of our HR manager who is very familiar with it, I would never be able to trouble shoot the problems that come up almost every other pay period. When an employee makes an error with their time punch, it isn't a user-friendly/intuitive fix on the supervisor's end. Most recently, I could not approve an employees time card because his actual hours & days worked did not match his preset schedule entered into the program. I tried to adjust the schedule to work around the glitch. However, I could not do that from the "schedule tab" on that screen. Our HR manager had to guide me to a different "schedule" page from which I could make the adjustment...and, thereby eliminate the glitch that was preventing me from approving the employee's time sheet to send to payroll. These types of navigating and glitch issues are common with this software.
