Pros

Lots of customizability and easy to use. It is great for users and works better than some of the other options we have tried. The ability to chat, screen share/control, and send files is really nice. Not sure what else we would want!

Cons

The installer is only viable for 1 year and there is no way to notify when that year is up except for the fact that Bomgar no longer installs. There are ways around it, but nothing built in

This is a great product. It's easy to protect our team's data and proprietary info on the go. I also like that this verifies identity.

Cons

We are a smaller company, so I felt like we didn't get as speedy support during the setup period as a larger company would have.

Bomgar provides software that does more than just chat and remote control, it has advanced queuing abilities, automated routing to get you to the rep that has the skills to solve your issues, it has the ability to connect to machines on local and remote networks using RDP or using the native client, as well as Intel Vpro. Computer diagnosis, multi-screen support, it really has everything you need to connect to and use, a computer as if you were sitting right in front of it.

Pros

Ease of use, flexibility, configurability

Cons

pricing is a bit high, but it's concurrent licensing so you don't need a license per user.

Thank to this amazing software, I've been able to have unrestricted remote access to every system on our network, allowing us to significantly boost production and eliminate trips to remote places to nearly zero.

Pros

The capacity to permit any framework client to give me remote access through our remote help site without the client needing any client pre stacked.

Cons

No Cons at all. Everything run smoothly since I started to use this app.

Pros

Quick easy access to this product. The response time to connect to the technician is fast and the ability to visually walk through our computer program is transparent.

Cons

Having to wait for the key code is a detractor for me

it gives us an easy way to help users remotely when they have computer issues

Pros

Bomgar makes remoting into another users PC effortless. It also provides easy options like the bomgar button that allows users to grant access during a support session without having to direct them to a url or download a software client

Cons

It requires a separate login from the support techs Active Directory credentials to login to the portal. This may just be how it was setup at our location though

Pros

It works across PC and Mac operating systems and was quite easy for my user base to connect to.

Cons

Elevating permissions on the remote computer can mean the user has to be promoted. This can delay the support process and frustrate the user.

The remote control is very good, it helps me to complete some time at home and also helps at work. I operate the screen with voice commands

Cons

Remote assistance programs need speed in translating what the person says and need continuous development to keep pace with the times in which they are used.

Cons

The interface could be more double-sided; meaning, the user should have a little more control in terms of annotating and controlling the screen.

Remote Support was already the way to go but now with Covid, it's practically the only solution...and it's a good one. It gets you directly into customer support ASAP.

Cons

Sometimes it is a bit dependent on the technical ability of the OTHER person you are supporting. But even that is easy to overcome.

Remote support is very easy, you can run command prompt, transfer files, work in the registry, see all the computer running stats, it also allows you to connect to multiple computers -- this is one of the best features

Pros

it's very easy to use, it has many functions that make remote support easy

Cons

It's expensive and hard to sell to management getting more user licenses

The benefits I realized is he ability to fix computers and see what is going on without a person having to come up to the workstation. It allows my service techs to be everywhere and when i have people remote get service on PC that would otherwise cause downtime

Pros

It is easy to use. It tells you step by step what is happening. Prompts end user on what to do to have service. It also prompts them at end to disconnect from service. Works well to VNC in other computers and fix issues for end users

Cons

You have to download a session each time. Because we have multiple techs we have to give end user a tech number to get access to PC. Sometimes download is slow if worker is remote and on a virtual connection

It did everything I needed. I have no complaints. The tools were very useful.

Pros

It is highly configurable, easy to use and manage. Support is great.

Cons

If you have an appliance and it goes down, you need to wait for a new one to be sent. They will give you a cloud site to use in teh meantime, but it is not ideal.

Pros

Log in and go. For distant support like we use it for, it works. The tech gets on and does his thing and we get our software looked after.

Cons

Authorize the tech to come take over the computer. Of course this is a safety issue.

Once a session was established, using this tool was very simple, seamless and effective. It was like have a desktop support resource sitting with me at my desk.

Pros

This tool was deployed for desktop support in our organization. When a support resource needed to see your system firsthand, it allowed them that access to have a dual use session with you in real time. This was very seamless and efficient.

Cons

The only painpoint is the number of confirmation screens that you needed to click through to establish a session. Perhaps this was a matter of configuration but you needed to jump through 5 hoops before a session could be enabled.

Pros

I loved the user experience as a user. My IT support person could instantly come in and fix my issue or answer my question.

Cons

None I can think of. Really can’t thing or angrier and this minimum text size is annoying since I have to keep typing.

It's wonderful, especially with so many employees now having to telework from home. It's our future and saves time, money, and there's no limit to the number of persons who can be in a session. Yesterday I had a Microsoft Teams meeting with 3 IT reps and 1 security rep. Three different Bomgar sessions took place during the meeting and we all took turns taking over each other's keyboards/screens. We were all able to view everything in realtime and work together as a team :-)

Pros

A great tool in helping to problem-solve when experiencing software and/or computer issues

Cons

I am the recipient of this software and really have not had any issues with it. However, if I were on the other side of the wall and was the person initiating the Bomgar session, I would likely have more to report.

I used bomgar when I was a technical support representative in a call center. What I like most is that when it works, it will make your job easy when assisting customers over the phone.

Cons

A lot of times the generated key doesn't work. It will either says the key is not valid or expired.

I do not use the application often, but when I do it is not very intuitive.

Pros

None, the bomber system I use is only for remote server Connection. .

Cons

Bomgar, once connections to clients it is difficult to close the application as it requires all windows/sessions to be closed. The only way to close the application is by task manager as the way to close the sessions it requests is not clear.

Really helpful where a dedicated remote management tool is not feasible. Perfect for clients who travel or where a lightweight IT footprint is needed.

Pros

Can easily walk a customer through running this platform and getting remote access. Very low user input needed and it is a blessing when a user is having issues if you can help them get you access in as few steps as possible.

Cons

No con's, platforms works great. Never had a connection issue or a complaint from an end user.
