I love all the templates available. They even take suggestions for new ideas. It only takes a few minutes to set up and changes are just as quick. It uses my menus in Health E pro to display for students and staff! I really enjoy keeping it fresh and updated. Pros I love the ease of use and the ton of templates they have available. They are adding more all the time and you can create your own in canva and import them to display on your screens. We use them to display our menus to students and staff. Cons So far nothing! We have not had any issues come up with the software. They have a great team available and are quick to answer emails if you have any problems. Pros I like the school specific templates. They add a lot to our lobby, and the students enjoy looking at the announcements. There are lots of options, such as lunch menus, count downs for the end of the year, and holiday templates. Cons Learning to use it is difficult and not as easy to catch on as I thought it would be. Usually basic tech is fairly self-explanatory, but Rise Vision did not seem very intuitive and has taken a lot of playing around to figure it out. I think it would also be helpful if the templates could be customized significantly more as our operations vary quite a bit from other schools' operations. Cons We have had to purchase some hardware, as Google no longer supported the devices we were using to display our signs. However, it wasn't too costly and we were able to fit it into our budget. It has allowed me to save so much time by using their presentations. Our school community is very informed now. Our students LOVE seeing themselves on the screens. Pros Rise Vision is incredibly easy to use. The program has allowed our school community to strengthen by allowing us to share information easily. It also allows us to celebrate and share success stories. I often will make a custom image graphic on Canva and be able to upload it onto Rise very easily! The user options are very easy to use - the amount of template presentations is truly overwhelming! There is so much there that you didn't even know that you needed! I have yet to need customer support, which is a good sign! Cons Sometimes I will upload just a picture into an image presentation. A great platform to keep everyone in the know. Pros I like that it provides a safe and secure platform to provide useful information across the district I work in. It also provides great graphics when it comes to uploading images and videos onto the slide. There are not very many bugs or issues with this platform at all and and if there are customer support is usually right on it. I am not sure about the value for money as I do not deal with that aspect but I think it is a great platform Cons I think it would be nice if the user options for the platform were a little more broad. March 20, 2026 5.0 I started playing around with the program in Spring of 2025 and was able to display and use within a couple of days. This year, it only takes a few minutes to update my current regular content, when needed. Great value and very professional looking. Pros Rise Vision is an affordable way to create professional looking digital displays throughout your business, school, college, university, etc. It is easy to use, has great premade professional looking templates, works with other programs like Google Calendar and Canva, as well as your movie or video programs. It was easy to self-teach how to build and display across multiple displays as well. In addition, I love that it can be taken over at our district level in the event of an emergency and help to display any pertinent information. Cons Although very easy to use, it took a bit of time to figure out duplicating templates vs just creating multiple versions of the same template in order to display menus for each week. We currently have the service displayed on nine TVs throughout our middle school, and in January it will mark one year of using Rise Vision. The platform is very easy to manage and allows me to give access to others so they can help share and create content. One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to share information on all TVs or target individual screens when needed. Teachers often send me pictures or announcements, and Rise Vision makes it simple to upload and display them quickly. There are also plenty of templates available, which makes it easy to customize displays while keeping everything visually appealing and professional. Furthermore, it empowers individual departments like Admissions to manage their own content, which frees the IT team from being a constant bottleneck for daily updates and allows our staff to take ownership of their messaging Pros As an IT Support Specialist for a private school, Rise Vision has become our core tool for campus wide digital signage. I like its flexibility best. We can use custom-made overlays from Photoshop for our branding and then pull in their helpful widgets for things like weather and social media. The Google Calendar integration is a huge asset for us, as it automatically displays our upcoming sports schedules without manual entry. It's also very easy to implement on various hardware. We run it on Fire TVs, Chromebooks, and Chromebits, which makes deployment simple across different locations on campus Cons The main area for improvement is the ease of use within the user interface. The division between Presentations, Schedules, and Displays, while logical, can feel disconnected and adds a few extra steps when trying to manage content. I would also love to see more pro-level web tools for designing content directly on the platform. We currently create our custom overlays in Photoshop, but having more advanced design capabilities within Rise Vision itself would be a major workflow improvement. July 9, 2025 5.0 The software is easy to learn and manage. It is a great way for us to publish conetnt on TV screens across our university campus. The few times we had questions, thier support was very quick to help us out. Pros It is very versatile software that runs on a wide variety of hardware ranging from Windows, Mac, Rasberry Pi, Android Apple TV and even Linux. It can display almost any kind of conent, from pitures, PDFs, Office documents, web content, videos, etc. It can be centrally managed so that you don't need to touch every dispaly. There are many nifty templates that you can customize. Also, they provide fantastic customer support. Whenever we have a question, they do an excellent job of helping us out. Cons Because the software is so versatile, there is a bit of a learning curve at first. But the software is not difficult to learn at all. Also, we have manly sub-companies in our orgainizatoin. Unfortunately it requires an additional paid upgrade to be able to easily publish across different sub-companies. But that is a very minor complaint. Cons The app, risevision players are much better but costly. We attempt to use smart TV's with the app only but many kept kicking off or back to the home screen. We run a Google slide that is updated by one of our instructors that shows random events, pictures, etc. Rise Vision customer support is always helpful. The appliances are very easy to set up and deploy. It can be up and running within a few minutes. The appliance and service pricing are very reasonable. Cons It can be difficult finding Youtube streams that can be shown due to the copyright flags on some videos. As a school, we should be able to show these videos in our venues without violating copyright laws. From an IT perspective, the platform has been reliable and easy to manage, and just as importantly, it’s intuitive enough that teachers and office staff can update content without needing technical help. That has made a big difference in keeping displays current and useful across our schools. Support has also been consistently excellent—responses are quick, helpful, and genuinely focused on solving the issue. Pros Very few bugs over the years, it's been mostly set it and forget it. We've never run into any tv compatibility issues although there are some instances where the firesticks that we use to cast occasionally have the unplugged and replugged in so that our screen casts play again. Image looks exactly as it should from creation to adding to Rise Vision platform to seeing it on the screens. Cons I've had issues in updating the admin email address that I use to log in to the account. I tried getting customer service help on this and for some reason it proved to be very challenging and we gave up trying to change it despite the fact that the email address is for someone at the company that no longer works here. Cons The one con of Rise Vision is the inability to "stretch" portrait sized images or videos into landscape mode in order to fill the frame completely on our monitors.
