August 6, 2025 4.0 I have enjoyed creating solutions for our organization, and would recommend Rise Vision to anyone needing a practical approach to communicating through TV screens. Pros Very easy to setup and configure. The interface is simple once you understand that the workflow can take several different approaches, non or which are wrong. Cons The interface is a little lacking as a content creator, so it's important that you have access to a good image creation solution like PhotoShop to aid in creating pixel perfect layouts. Cost works for our school district - best we could find anywhere! Easy to use and maintain. Would like to see a few additional features that would assist with content management, but overall extremely happy! Watch out - you lose access to a lot of great content if working through Apple TVs. Pros Ease of use and bountiful templated content. They are always releasing new content for focus months and holidays. The automatically updating content is cool! Cons Limited edit capability for some templates, especially those already tailored to a specific holiday. Compatibility with Apple TVs is a minus. You are not able to use a lot of great content because it will not play on Apple TVs. You also lose live broadcast capability because of Apple TVs. There are lots of options, such as lunch menus, count downs for the end of the year, and holiday templates. Cons Learning to use it is difficult and not as easy to catch on as I thought it would be. Usually basic tech is fairly self-explanatory, but Rise Vision did not seem very intuitive and has taken a lot of playing around to figure it out. I think it would also be helpful if the templates could be customized significantly more as our operations vary quite a bit from other schools' operations. Cons The "preview" feature was not comprehensive enough. It would be much more efficient if users could view the entire slide deck in one place rather than opening files individually to confirm they have selected the correct slide. Customer support is quick to respond to anything that needs troubleshooting, but I've only needed that once in 2 years, and that was for a hardware issue unrelated, but they still assisted! Pros Rise Vision is an affordable way to create professional looking digital displays throughout your business, school, college, university, etc. It is easy to use, has great premade professional looking templates, works with other programs like Google Calendar and Canva, as well as your movie or video programs. In addition, I love that it can be taken over at our district level in the event of an emergency and help to display any pertinent information. Since it operates through a browser, making updates is straightforward: you simply edit your presentation, publish it, and the changes are reliably pushed out to all connected devices. Setting up the unit was fast and uncomplicated—we just plugged it in and it was ready to go. The premade templates offered by Rise Vision are not only easy to customize but also add variety to presentations without being overwhelming. If none of the provided templates fit your needs, it's easy to create your own, import one from Canva, or use a Google Slides presentation. The scheduling feature is especially valuable, making it possible to plan different presentations in advance, which is a huge convenience. Our staff can prepare and update content ahead of time and make quick changes as needed. With eye-catching graphics and customizable designs, we can easily communicate what’s happening around the school so everyone stays in the know. Pros I’ve really enjoyed using Rise Vision! The quality of the ready-made graphics is fantastic. The graphics are vibrant, professional, and save me so much time. I also love that the program gives me the flexibility to create my own graphics whenever I need something specific for my audience. It’s the perfect balance of convenience and customization! The customer support is unmatched. They are very quick to respond and always very helpful. Cons My only con is that I have to manually delete events once they are over. From an IT perspective, the platform has been reliable and easy to manage, and just as importantly, it’s intuitive enough that teachers and office staff can update content without needing technical help. That has made a big difference in keeping displays current and useful across our schools. Support has also been consistently excellent—responses are quick, helpful, and genuinely focused on solving the issue. Overall, Rise Vision has been a solid, user-friendly solution that works well for both IT and non-technical staff. Pros It is easy to both set up and use. It comes with many slide templates. The management portal is easy to use and extremely handy if any issues come up. Depending on the hardware you use, you may have to monitor the performance of the equipment. Pros It has support for many types of media hardware and it is easy to use with integration with Canva and PowerPoint. Cons The standard plan has limited features.
