I am not sure we could go without Rise now that we are using it! Pros Love Rise Vision and the way it makes it easy to communicate different events and messages to our community. The regular new templates keeps things interesting and the costumer service has been outstanding! Cons There is nothing I like least! Everything is easy to use! Office Assistant Higher Education Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "A Useful Tool to Get Your Message Out" January 31, 2020 5.0 It's a very helpful tool to have in a Higher Ed. environment. Easy to get the message out on a larger scale. I would recommend this product. Pros This software made it easier to post flyers on a large TV screen rather than hanging a small sign. I was also able to post schedules for certain rooms to let students know availability. If the schedule was updated so was Rise Vision and the message on the screen. Cons I had issues with the start and stop feature. I would put in a date for the slide to stop showing, but it would still be there. I hope they make better editing tools in the future. We are also not in the electrical/ electronic manufacturing industry. My industry is not represented on your list. We are an HVAC manufacturer. Please add 'other' as an option or manufacturer in the future of this survey. Pros I like the premade templates and features available such as the tickers and weather. Cons The interface and editing tools need some work. The software isn't very intuitive and makes simple text edits cumbersome. I find myself using a template then editing that rather than building one from scratch. It is not design-friendly Reason for choosing Rise Vision We ultimately choose RV because of an IT recommendation who had used it at a previous and employer and best value for the money. Incredible flexibility if you are willing to dig in a design some of our own widgets. But lots of current widgets to work with and they are always adding more. Pros I can easily set up widgets for my screens and display them instantly. If I catch an event and video it, I can upload it to my screens in less than 30 minutes. Lots of widgets available to get the job done. Plenty of storage available to manage my screens, or a really low registration cost. Cons Widget based and while there are lots of widgets available, it always seems there could be one more. I know if I had the time or desire I could likely build my own. More visible and easier to update employee communication that were previously posted on paper. Pros The software is very easy to use compared to every alternative that I have tested. Web based management. Works with many different media player operating systems. Many templates offered. Capability to integrate with Informacast. Up front affordable pricing that is much cheaper than most alternatives. Cons Most templates are geared for use by schools. This has allowed us to reduce paper cost and provide information in a more timely manner to the customers in our lobby. Pros There is a wide variety of templates and ability to customize the content and timely modification of the content. The remote ability to troubleshoot (email notifications if system goes down- which is rare). Cons The templates used to be customizable and no longer are. Please return this feature. There are fun ones that are student appropriate that catch our student's attention. I like that they are always coming out with new ones. It's also a good way to get announcements out to our students and parents as we have the monitor in our entrance foyer. Cons I wish there was more I could do with Fonts and Titles and changing the design. Tutorials on how to do things would be helpful. As a small business, having the ability to look like a big enterprise (or even better) give us a competitive advantage when attracting new clients. The interface is fairly easy to use.
