It's rare to find a solution that balances professional results, administrative control, and ease of use this well. For any K-12 IT administrator looking for a reliable, scalable digital signage solution, I highly recommend giving RiseVision a serious look. Pros s an IT Administrator for a mid-sized K-12 school district, I'm always looking for solutions that are both powerful and manageable across multiple buildings. RiseVision has exceeded my expectations on every front. Professional Templates That Actually Work One of the biggest challenges we faced with our previous digital signage solution was creating content that looked polished and professional. RiseVision's template library has been a revelation. The templates are genuinely high-quality—not the typical cookie-cutter designs you see elsewhere. From emergency announcements to daily lunch menus and student achievement spotlights, everything looks like it was designed by a professional communications team. Our principals and office staff can now create eye-catching displays without needing graphic design skills, which has been huge for adoption across our district. Centralized Management That Saves Time Managing digital signage across six buildings used to be a nightmare. With RiseVision, I can oversee every display from a single dashboard. Whether I need to push an urgent weather closure notification to all schools simultaneously or update content on specific displays in individual buildings, it's incredibly straightforward. The centralized platform has saved me countless hours of driving between buildings or trying to walk staff through updates over the phone. Delegation Features That Empower Staff The permission and delegation system is exactly what a district environment needs. I can give our front office staff access to update daily announcements, allow our athletic \[sensitive content hidden\] to manage sports schedules on gym displays, and let principals control their building's main entrance screens—all without giving everyone access to everything. This has distributed the workload appropriately while maintaining the security and control I need as an administrator. Outstanding Training and Support I've been particularly impressed by RiseVision's training materials and support resources. The documentation is comprehensive, the video tutorials are clear and to-the-point, and their support team has been responsive on the rare occasions we've needed help. When rolling out the system district-wide, I was able to train building staff quickly using their existing resources. That kind of support infrastructure makes all the difference when you're implementing technology at scale. Cons Our users STILL need to be trained to use it. We've had others that are internet driven but never as fluid as Risevision is, pictures are crisp and clear and videos show in an aray of resolutions. Pros When it comes to speed and ease of use, Risevision got us online and displaying in no time. We display everything from movie trailers, local advertising, showtimes and menu boards for our cafe. The ability to schedule different dayparts is gamechanging. We found just the time savings alone samed us money each month. We are able to cusomize our videos for trailers and ads and the resolution on our giant 60'x80' movie screen is amazing. Cons We have never ran into a negative about risevision, I can control it from anywhere in the world with an easy to use dashboard. We currently have the service displayed on nine TVs throughout our middle school, and in January it will mark one year of using Rise Vision. The platform is very easy to manage and allows me to give access to others so they can help share and create content. One of the features I appreciate most is the ability to share information on all TVs or target individual screens when needed. Teachers often send me pictures or announcements, and Rise Vision makes it simple to upload and display them quickly. There are also plenty of templates available, which makes it easy to customize displays while keeping everything visually appealing and professional. Furthermore, it empowers individual departments like Admissions to manage their own content, which frees the IT team from being a constant bottleneck for daily updates and allows our staff to take ownership of their messaging Pros As an IT Support Specialist for a private school, Rise Vision has become our core tool for campus wide digital signage. I like its flexibility best. We can use custom-made overlays from Photoshop for our branding and then pull in their helpful widgets for things like weather and social media. The Google Calendar integration is a huge asset for us, as it automatically displays our upcoming sports schedules without manual entry. It's also very easy to implement on various hardware. We run it on Fire TVs, Chromebooks, and Chromebits, which makes deployment simple across different locations on campus Cons The main area for improvement is the ease of use within the user interface. The division between Presentations, Schedules, and Displays, while logical, can feel disconnected and adds a few extra steps when trying to manage content. I would also love to see more pro-level web tools for designing content directly on the platform. Everyone seems to enjoy it that has had the opportunity to use it. As a rural school trying to get things like digital signage to take off is sometimes complicated. Using Rise we have had all campuses buy in and request more displays. Pros I really appreciate how Rise Vision simplified getting information onto our displays and put everything under one management system. It allows us to micromanage down to different departments, who can then control the displays in their area. Most of our employees have been able to easily take hold of the built-in templates and edit them. The integration with Canvas was especially beneficial for our school district. Overall, it’s been the ease of use that stands out to us, and the initial setup was quick and easy. Cons The back end portal could use a little bit of reconfiguration. The templates are very useful, containing every type you may need. The site seems very secure, which for a school is very important. We had other systems that were not as good. Would like to see a few additional features that would assist with content management, but overall extremely happy! Watch out - you lose access to a lot of great content if working through Apple TVs. RiseVision fit the bill very nicely, and included features for us to be able to display some internal web applications as well. Pros Has every feature we'd want, simple intuitive interface, lots of support options for small IT departments that don't have time to figure out hardware issues and need to keep things online. Rollout was easy with a pilot unit and plenty of test runway. Pretty set it and forget it. Cons We only have 20 displays, but I imagine working with a huge number of displays could get cumbersome. July 9, 2025 5.0 The software is easy to learn and manage. It is a great way for us to publish conetnt on TV screens across our university campus. The few times we had questions, thier support was very quick to help us out. Pros It is very versatile software that runs on a wide variety of hardware ranging from Windows, Mac, Rasberry Pi, Android Apple TV and even Linux. It can display almost any kind of conent, from pitures, PDFs, Office documents, web content, videos, etc. It can be centrally managed so that you don't need to touch every dispaly. There are many nifty templates that you can customize. Also, they provide fantastic customer support. Whenever we have a question, they do an excellent job of helping us out. Cons Because the software is so versatile, there is a bit of a learning curve at first. But the software is not difficult to learn at all. Also, we have manly sub-companies in our orgainizatoin. Unfortunately it requires an additional paid upgrade to be able to easily publish across different sub-companies. But that is a very minor complaint. Pros Ease of use, being able to separate buildings and departments while having each account under the same "umbrella" has made things easier when it comes time to renew. Notifications when a system is offline. The templates make it easy to create slides, or pages to display quickly on the fly. Customer support is quick to respond to anything that needs troubleshooting, but I've only needed that once in 2 years, and that was for a hardware issue unrelated, but they still assisted! Cons Honestly, I haven't found anything to disklike. If I had a suggestion, I would say to add a Dark mode for the portal. Cons There are moments that the slides seem to skip or speed past certain scenes. This does make it difficult to read the information and often times results in us having to recreate the slide. The ability to share information and communicate with our school community has been enhanced greatly with the implementation of the Rise Vision software. Pros Rise Vision has been a great tool for us to communicate and share announcements with our students and staff/faculty. As a Catholic school we are able to share a Bible verse everyday for everyone to read. As a school we have four different communities that our students are separated into - for the NCAA basketball tournaments we are having a little competition between each community and the great thing about using Rise Vision is that we are able to show up to date results of the games and current standings within our competition. Rise Vision also has a large number of pre-built templates that are customized with your school colors and are very user friendly. So far we are very pleased with Rise Vision. Cons Currently there is nothing that we dislike about Rise Vision but I would say the only struggle we are trying to work through is scheduling our devices to remotely turn on/off at the times we have scheduled. It seems like on device seems to be more friendly while another device creates a bigger struggle to run as scheduled. We currently use it in 30 different locations across 13 different states. We have 20 more locations coming in the next 2 years and anticipate RiseVision being used in all of them. Pros Ease of use. Logging in from anywhere in the country and being able to control signage at any location is great. Cons There is nothing in particular I dislike about it. For my needs, it checks all the boxes. I guess I wish they had customer support by phone. Support requires emailing. Responses are usually pretty quick, but it would be nice to get phone support when needed. October 6, 2025 5.0 As an elementary school principal, my time is incredibly valuable, and any new technology we adopt simply has to be simple, reliable, and contribute directly to our positive school culture. That’s exactly why I've been so impressed with the Rise Vision digital presentation platform. The biggest pros are immediately apparent: the platform is exceptionally easy to set up and create presentations. We were able to convert front lobby TVs and an IFP into vibrant communication hubs without heavy lifting from our small IT team. The sheer volume of professionally designed templates is a game-changer. My assistant principal and me can easily share content, adding new slides in minutes without needing graphic design expertise. Our overall experience with Rise Vision has been transformative. It has become our primary visual communication tool, making it wonderfully easy to set up and create presentations to highlight what is happening at our school, spotlight students, celebrate school successes, and more. We use it extensively for "Top Dog" student recognition, share the local weather, reinforce school expectations and more. Rise Vision enhances our school's visual environment. It keeps our community informed, provides positive reinforcement for our students, and, most importantly, saves our limited staff time every single week.
