Pros

Well initially the sales team was responsive, quick, helpful. They quickly got us in for a demo. The demo was appealing. It appeared the software could do just about anything. But I know feel this was a heavy emphasis on sales no matter what. They even discounted our service at risk of it not being the right software for our needs.

Cons

It’s confusing. Complex. Not easy to use. Implementation team didn’t even know how to use features and would send us to specialists who were booked for days on end. When reaching out after signing a contract good luck getting help. We feel like we have become a number and not a customer or assets to them. It is one of the worst companies I have experienced since 1999. What happened to quick, helpful and efficient customer service? It was on the front end to make us a customer and to sign a ridiculous contract. Once in, they disappear and say they can’t help. They just send you to person to person. Then the person at the top is unavailable. It’s 2019. This is the worst company I have used since Comcast. Even then Comcast is better.

I am an internist and started using Drchrono as my first EMR system when it made its debut. At the time, I was looking for an easy to use EMR system for my iPad. I've been using it now for the last year and a half. My practice is very small and I do not use the billing portion of Drchrono (I do not take insurance in my practice, so I do not require any billing support). My comments are based solely on my experience with the EMR portion. Implementation was simple and quick. We had many questions at the start, but the staff at Drchrono was always available to answer them. It took very little time for us to get used to the system. Even now, if my administrator or I have a unique question, a simple email will elicit a quick response from the staff at Drchrono. They make an honest attempt to solve our problem, and if they cannot, they often work on the problem and incorporate the solution into a newer version of the app. My staff and I like the practice management section of Drchrono. We can easily make appointments, schedule reminders for the patients by email, text or phone. We have been able to email all of our patients to make announcement about upcoming flu shots or office closures. Also, my staff can easily download previous SOAP notes or use the "dashboard" to send a specialist a current Medical history and medication list. I am looking forward to faxing notes directly from my iPad, but have not attempted this yet. We use the "dashboard" section often to get a quick view of the patient's medication list when the pharmacy is calling. Also, we input all of our patient’s immunizations in this section. Further, we can print a "super bill" and "claim form" for the patients if they wish to submit them to the insurance company. I also use the "escript" pharmacy section to fax prescriptions directly to the pharmacy. I think this section needs some tweaking, but I'm sure that will happen in the future. The biggest plus for me is that I can access my notes and scanned labwork and X-rays from my computer or iPad at any time. This helps a lot when I am out of the office. Overall, my office practice is much better organized and efficient because of Drchrono. We are big fans!

Free draw , insurance payments / EOBs easy to work with , scheduling is straightforward. Formatting soap notes.

Cons

Not Chiropractic friendly. System is more designed for large hospitals. No ability to print statements or superbills per date range.

### "Highly efficient all-in-one EMR and practice management software"

I've used a lot of EMRs over the years and I searched a long time to find a good solution for our small group private practice that was user-friendly from the provider side but also had the analytics tools needed to run the practice management. We also struggled to find a biller in-house that could manage our growing practice. We switched to the revenue cycle management services with drchrono and have been very pleased with the billing team noticing an improvement in our collections and reduction of our costs.

Pros

Intuitive, provider friendly EMR, easily customizable Good revenue cycle management software that allows me to easily analyze how our practice is doing Cloud-based, works anywhere on computer, ipad, or iphone

Cons

There are a few things that don't work as well going from a solo provider to a group practice with multiple locations and providers Little differences between computer and iPad versions are a little bit frustrating

It can be customized to individual need but requires many hours to get right

Cons

The customer service is a joke. Prices continually go up with no appreciable benefit. Difficult to exit.

Used this EMR at a Physical Therapy clinic. I was able to create my own template with rationales to support my billing CPT codes and the care I gave. The software is easy to customize, easy to use, and cuts down on my documentation time because there’s no superfluous information or boxes to scroll through like many types of EMR softwares have.

Pros

Customizable templates. Ease to use. Multiple functions and features to use to create a template that cuts down on documentation time while still providing all necessary aspects for solid documentation. Incorporates needs rendering or needs supervising for documentation sign-off. Auto-save feature is awesome!

Cons

Can’t think of any negative comments about the software. However the IT Support is not the most reliable or quick if and when any issues arise.

Does what we need it to (mostly) and is less annoying than some.

Pros

It's easy to use, easy to upload information, easy to find things again. Especially like things like flags, and the ability to easily see things like insurance cards.

Cons

Some very annoying things. The patient portal, OnPatient, lets patients select a different doctor and office, which means the appointment slips through the cracks, or ends up double booking something else. The customer support is responsive to basic things, but if it's a complicated process, they're not helpful, and there's no way to call them, only to send in help tickets.

I credentialed new doctors and have been paying for them to use Dr. Chrono for almost 6 months now. I have had nothing but problems submitting and getting paid for their claims with NO HELP from Dr. Chrono.

Pros

The system is easy to change notes and re format. They have an app that you can write notes and dictate on.

Cons

Customer service is absolutely horrendous. I would never recommend this product just because of the poor quality of customer support alone. Also, the billing and credentialing of new doctors is made very confusing and they do not give you proper information because they want you to use their billing service.

I had a good experience with customer service at the beginning, they were available to show me the software. I also like the way you can set up appointment reminders. The layout of the site is fairly intuitive.

Cons

The mobile app is somewhat difficult to navigate and does not have all of the features of the full website.

Every year they contact me to make sure I am aware of the new updates that come automatically. I’m not sure any other company does that.

Pros

I love the fact that I use my iPad. I don’t have to have computers in every room. The program is easy to use, customizable and when I need help it’s quick.

Cons

I only wish that when I choose a billing profile it gets rid of the last diagnosis codes. I also wish I could make a section start on a new page. I read X-rays and it would be nice to be on its own page and not attached to my soup note.

Reason for choosing DrChrono

I can use my iPad and customize the pages.

They do a great job selling the product and making promises but when it comes down to helping make it work well in the clinic setting, they are less than helpful. Rep was actually confrontational with the staff.

Pros

I wish I could write something that I liked but it was implemented very poorly and we opted to not spend more money on all of the additional things that would make it work well.

Cons

Extremely expensive for what you get. Everything is an add on with extra expense. Customer service is beyond terrible. Contract is very deceptive. You have to pay for doctors for an entire year even if they no longer work in your clinic.

### "To switch or not to switch"

Drchrono is sufficient for what we use it for, but I feel it is over priced.

Pros

I like drchrono being a cloud based EMR system. This allows us to work from anywhere and look at the schedule at any time of the day.

Cons

When it is cloud based, if you are without internet, you cannot use the system. I also wish the reports were easier to set up. I tried using their coding and claim submission team, but had nothing but problems. You can only reach customer service via drchrono customer support and have to wait for an answer.

Now I have all patient data in my small ipad. DrChrono is an efficient and easy program to use. NAd they have very good customer support. Just imagine eliminating all your paper charts!!

Pros

The versatility, customizable programs, patient portal, the use of ap on my phone so I can schedule people any time I want. The patient portal and reminders are great Customer service was fantastic. Especially working with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]

Cons

The initial learning curve was a little challenging as I converted over to chirotouch. It meant that every two weeks I would get training to problem solve and create my own templates for notes. Now I have everything learned and can check the vitals of my office at any time!!

When running reports you can customize by using extensive filters. I think the program has limitless features. From what I can see so far, you can do anything you need to do on drchrono. Will expand on this as we complete training and get to use the program.

Pros

I love that Drchrono is functional on all apple devices. It's also very convenient for the physicians be able to see their schedule in daily emails. The text reminders and e-mail reminders are very customizable and important. Personally, I love when I get those reminders for my doctor's visits! We are still training, but the program seems to be user friendly and easily figured out when you're not sure what to do. Our trainer is very knowledgeable and readily available for any questions we have.

Cons

The only con I can see at this point, and it's not really a con, is that I feel like there is almost too much automation. You can actually have codes going in when scheduling a patient according to what their complaint is. I think I would not set the system up that tightly. Of course it's up to the practice. I feel it's best if we leave the coding to the specific patients visit. However, some people may like that automation. You can easily tweak it as you go through the visit.

Fancy on the surface, but a hellish ordeal once you actually start using it. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Pros

The sales team is great. They make a lot of promises. The practice management side - scheduling in particular - is well thought out. Reports are customizable, lots of options here.

Cons

During your sales call, FORCE them to demonstrate what you're looking for. We received numerous, "and then you'd just click this and it would work." "You'd just click this item (in a template) and it would do this fancy thing." Unfortunately, the thousands of promised templates do not exist. Template tools are very, very weak. Calculations (if statements) are not possible. Implementation was nightmarish. They have literally (I asked) no written plan for implementation, which drags the implementation out interminably - making it very costly. Tech support is outsourced to a foreign country. "I'm unable to log in to my account from any computer from any browser," was my issue. "Have you tried clearing the browser cache?" was the response.

appreciate that as small single provider in part time practice that monthly cost is reasonable, if it was much more expensive, i would be tempted to go for some of the free services available for electronic billing, prescribing, etc

Pros

that EMR, electronic prescribing, electronic billing, in one easy to use program, especially like how with electronic billing, patient statements are automatically created once insurance pays their portion, makes billing very easy, cost effective compared to billing service

Cons

delay in getting customer service, no ability to get immediate answer to simple question, would like more already created templates for psychiatric practice having to click on each item for standard MSE in physical exam takes more time than i like
