5\. Poor customer support: the customer support never calls back when a call drops. 6. DrChrono' s Accounting & billing department commits out right fraudulent financial practices (probably on the directives from their corporate office) as evidenced by the following facts: a- DrChrono' s subscription agreement doesn't include an exit clause even in case of their product failure. b- DrChrono' s accounting & billing department ("the back office") never follow's on complaints tickets generated by their customer service ("front office". c- Drchrono's accounting and billing department automatically renews physicians subscription without sending reminders to subscribing physicians, and despite the multiple complaints about the failure of their products and despite multiple request for cancelation of their subscription. Overall assessment: 1. Drchrono is definitely an over-rated product (both their ehr and e-prescribing). 2. Drchrono's financial practices seem to be fraudulent by entrapping physcians in financial agreements (by not responding to physicians' complaints and grievance, and by renewing their agreement with sending out reminders). Notes to physicians who feel entrapped by Drchron's agreements: 1. Talk to your financial institutions to stop automatic payments to Crchrono. 2. Resort to your legal resources, if Drchrono does not release you from the agreement and/or refund you the money you have paid to Drchrono without being able to use their products.

Pros

I am a family physician and I have been using e-prescribing and EMR since 2005 starting with Amazing Chart which was easy to use and its cost was reasonable. In 2012, as our clinical needs grew, we started using Care360 until 2019-2020, when its parent company, Quest Quanum, started to phase it out. We started using Tebra and then Rxnt. In 2023, we started our subscription to DrChrono because its platform was based on IOS and its mobile features ( its compatibility with IPAD and Iphone) were appealing.

Cons

Multiple Issues: 1. Data extraction from our previous EHR (which was done for an additional fee) was not mapped correctly. 2. On-Boarding failed to generate simple forms we needed(neither a printable blank superbill encounter ticket, nor a blank clinical template form for pasting a note generated via an external ambient listening software). 3. Electronic prescribing failed to send a single prescription. The issue could not be fixed by the tech support, therefore, we switched back to our previous/current vendor's (RXNT) e-prescribing that works very efficiently. 4. DrChrono' s Practice Management component failed frequently to determine patient's insurance eligibility at the time of visit, so we switched back to the previous vendor. 5. Starting a clinical note is rather tedious: A note can not be started after pulling a patient's chart. The patient will need to be placed on the schedule first before a clinical note could be started on that patient.

I was really glad to find something customizable that worked well for my chiropractic clinic. It worked for me for many years until I decided to use a different program that was more specific to my field.

Pros

Customizable and worked with my chiropractic business, from the get-go. It was free at first, and then transitioned to a paid model.

Cons

It wasn't chiropractic specific. It wasn't a big deal, but it did mean it included a lot of things I didn't really need.

I have had a good experience overall with the onboarding and support from the team as we set up a practice. It has been a smooth transition.

Pros

I love the patient management of Dr Chrono. It is fully integrated with everything needed to see a patient, chart the visit, and manage medications!

Cons

My biggest frustration is simple - I don't want the system automatically posting ERAs on me. I want to go through them individually and publish them. It is the most efficient way to manage denials.

Overall, drchrome application is user frindly and makes word very efficient. We have been using drchrome for a while and i can say that its multifunctional for the enterprise.

Pros

DrChrono application has been very useful and creates great value for money. It is quite secured though its a cloudbase application. Since we commenced use, our team has efficiently managed our client base, repayment contracts, and reporting.

Cons

DrChrono application demands a huge deal of wife data. Probably due to its cloud base or might be due to data volume of our teams see devided.

We moved to DrChrono expecting an enterprise-level EHR. While reporting technically exists, it is not intuitive or user-friendly. Even when a patient is clearly on the schedule, reports often require extra, non-obvious steps to capture data correctly, making routine KPI tracking inefficient and error-prone. Billing took nearly a year of back-and-forth to stabilize, and even now the system frequently glitches. CPT codes, diagnoses, and entries may disappear, fail to save, or duplicate. What appears correct on the clinical side can show differently once sent to billing, creating real risk and added cleanup work. Patient statements are also a major weakness. They read like internal accounting ledgers rather than clear, patient-friendly statements, forcing staff to manually recreate statements each time a patient requests one. Support is generally polite, but resolution is slow and often reactive. In addition, practices should read the contract very carefully. Some terms are non-standard and unfavorable, such as continuing to pay for provider licenses even after an associate has left the clinic. Overall, this platform has required far more workarounds and staff time than expected.

Look elsewhere. Support is not helpful. You can submit a support ticket which results in either an awareness of an issue with no steps for resolution, or a flat out we can't reproduce your issue, sorry. They called and texted 150 of my clients at 2am, took no accountability for it and can not promise it won't happen again. I turned my reminders off completely, losing major functionality. There isn't a person you can contact or talk to about issues. A support ticket is your only option. And when you want to talk about contract issues, you wait weeks to get someone and multiple submissions about the same issue. There are so many buggy problems, appointments that don't save, billing that doesn't save, or requires multiple refresh or changes to take effect.

Pros

I have a hard time with the pro list. I used drchrono for over 10 years. The cost i guess is the biggest pro?

Cons

Support is terrible. No help, no answers and no solutions. Bugs that result in enties not saving, having to change and save multiple times for one item. The software send calls and texts to 150 of my clients at 2am and offered no explanation or consideration.

It was very user-friendly at the beginning up to 10 years ago. Things went down slightly until their recent sale of the platform to a new company, where it took a downward slide in quality.

Pros

Nothing is of value with this EMR now. We are constantly struggling to save time and money with it. stay out of this EMR if you want to have a smooth office EMR.

Cons

Unavailability and unreliability of tech support are the major problems. They are now locking you into an entire year of contract without telling you, and increasing their premium without giving you a chance to transfer data to another EMR.

Several major disappointments, but most recently Dr Chrono implemented a new policy that the EMR will not allow any staff, not even licensed staff, RN, LPN, etc, to send in a non-controlled prescription. All Prescriptions, even a BP refill can only be sent by the provider. This is not a new regulation from the state medical boards or DEA, and that same non-controlled RX can be called in by those same staff members. In a busy medical practice, providers do not have time to review a draft prescription and send in all the new prescriptions, much less all the routine refills and med changes, based on standing orders. Makes no sense to put these barriers in healthcare. These providers are already over worked and UNDER paid.

Pros

The pros were pricing in the beginning, but the functionality has continued to decline, and we will be moving to another EMR. For the reasons stated below

Cons

Management and IT are making updates and policy updates that don't even work in the medical field. They need a board of clinical and administrative personnel to advise on functionality. They are making changes that will run customers off!!

Reasons for choosing DrChrono

Pricing and now we know why its cheaper. Goes back to the people making decisions. It has to be cheaper to get people on board
