appreciate that as small single provider in part time practice that monthly cost is reasonable, if it was much more expensive, i would be tempted to go for some of the free services available for electronic billing, prescribing, etc

Pros

that EMR, electronic prescribing, electronic billing, in one easy to use program, especially like how with electronic billing, patient statements are automatically created once insurance pays their portion, makes billing very easy, cost effective compared to billing service

Cons

delay in getting customer service, no ability to get immediate answer to simple question, would like more already created templates for psychiatric practice having to click on each item for standard MSE in physical exam takes more time than i like

Hands on experience in the classroom, to "play" with the files and different aspects of the software without fear of doing any irreparable damage to real patient files.

Pros

That it is an actual software used by real clients in the healthcare business. The live "feel" made the training very "real" and will shorten any time I spend training on the job.

Cons

That I didn't get paid while I was using it. Seriously, I really liked the software and am not sure I have any cons to share.

I have used DrChrono for nearly a year now. I appreciate its iPad functionality and its overall capacity to mesh the daily documentation experience with the billing side essentially seamlessly. I frustrate a bit over some details and features that would seem to be present and requested by the average user, but often are missing. Discussions with tech support can be challenging, as they are always kind and polite but often cannot offer solutions or assurances of system modifications to improve functionality. We are often referred to their online help "forum" where we can suggest a system change/modification, but they only attend to those fixes that other uses vote on as desirable as well. Kind of an odd approach, if you ask me. Like most systems, it has to be a work in progress because needs change and technology changes...but, also, like most systems, it seems they focus a lot of their resources on making the aesthetic features more attractive when it seems they should work toward addressing system function issues. Even with all that said, I must have reviewed and tested over a dozen systems before settling on this one. For iPad users, I don't believe there's a better system for daily charting. For desktop users, you may find this system a little more arduous to navigate efficiently for daily charting.

I've been using DrChrono for years. It was great software with the great customer service at first. Last few years, the customer service has gotten worse. When we have some questions, they simply email us what to do. It takes a while for us to speak to them. Also, now we have more EHRs available in the market, DrChrono becomes one of the most expensive softwares. Many EHR softwares now offer unlimited patient reminder calls and fax. So I plan to switch to another company once my contract is over.

Pros

Custom SOAP notes. Great user interface.

Cons

Poor customer service. Expensive. Patient remind call/SMS and fax are not unlimited.

do not fall for it. Their sales rep will promise you freebies over the phone ( non- recorded line) and then will change on a recorded conversation after you sign the contract. They take months to setup your software and if you ask for refund they wont even refund you the money, so you will be basically stuck with bad service and bad product. That is their way of fooling people and getting their money. Their product is also worthless but they won’t let you try it unless you pay them.

Pros

Bad product, bad service, bad people to deal with. Do not fall for it. Their sales rep will promise you something else and they will give you something else.

Cons

Bad product, pathetic service, false marketing/ advertising. Do not fall for it. Their sales people will promise you to give you a lot of add ones but in reality you will feel like you are buying candies from them as you will have to pay for even customer service later.

We offer different promotions throughout the year and you need to meet the terms and conditions in order to qualify. Please note, you signed an agreement on November 2018 for the Prometheus plan which did not qualify for any promotional offers as your minimum monthly fee did not meet our terms and agreements. All offers, terms, and agreements regarding your subscription have been laid out in the written contract sent you for your review and signature. Overall a great EMR for my profession, Chiropractic. A couple features I'd like to see implemented like the ability to set up reoccurring payments for clients who are cash only but in general I've enjoyed it.

The learning curve is pretty hefty but once you get past that and start understanding the terminology of various features it becomes fairly seamless and the e-billing aspect is amazing! The interface for reviewing claims in the

The online Scheduler seems ancient and feature less compared to the Vcita.com I am currently using. Hopeing it gets a massive update in the near future so I can begin using it instead. The billing rejection details are often confusing forcing me to still call the insurance company to ID the problems.

Great experience and I would definitely consider using the system if it was more cost effective.

Pros

Customization is unparallel and cloud based is a bonus. Online scheduling, self check-in, a HIPAA-compliant patient portal. Mobile access that is clearly efficient.

Cons

Cost is on the higher end and too many options in one suite.

### "Good but zero support."

What upsets me is that there is no one to speak to in regards to support. I have lost alot of time because the website will not allow me to reset my password. I have made 2 electronic request with "reset your password" - no response. Then I had to submit a ticket and I am still waiting for a response. Since there is no support, I wouldn't purchase this product. I use it because my company uses. I will not recommend because I think support is extremely important regarding this type of work and we should be assisted in a timely manner.

Pros

I like that it's relatively easy to use.

Cons

It's a little disjointed and doesn't flow. I've used other systems that run a bit more smoothly.

I was able to not only schedule patients and have a calendar view but it also solved the problem with employee schedules by having them more involved with their own scheduling

I liked the Calendar features and the interactive of it all

Cons

Patients had a little difficulty not recognizing the reminders they were being sent about their appointments

Reason for choosing DrChrono

Lab Retriever didn't have the same features that DrChrono had when it came to scheduling. The cost was a lot more affordable as well.

Overall I’m a satisfied customer. I’ve been with DrChrono for 5 years now I believe.

Pros

I like the integrated fax, iPad or iPhone app for SOAP notes (I often do SOAP notes while my husband drives us home)

Cons

The price can be steep for some budgets. The online scheduling is limited - I’ve had to resort to using an additional service for this. The customer service can also be slow. You have to send a “ticket” and then someone gets back to you within a day or two.

I have used this platform for years in a small, low-volume one-practitioner office. It is one of the few platforms that I have used over 3 decades of practice that actually provides what it sets out to do.It's extreme versatility sometimes makes it seem overly complex, but customer service is ALWAYS there to help and with some exploration, experimentation, and guidance from customer service it is not difficult to make it do EXACTLY what you want it to do.

Pros

What I like most about this platform is its all encompassing nature that it provides and its extreme versatility. It keeps the schedule, documentation, case notes, images, does patient billing and even patient contacting and emailing. It is EXTREMELY versatile and useful.

What decent features this program has is completely overshadowed by the lack of support and consistent functioning of the system.

Pros

Cloud based. Lower cost. Below average response time to issues compared to other software companies

Cons

The tech support is non existent with this company. We onboarded over a year ago and after many promises of an account manager- still don’t have one. There is no phone number to reach out to anyone when the system crashes (happens often). It’s takes days of us repeatedly putting in support tickets to hear from anyone.

### "Best EHR for multiple practice types"

Pros

This software is constantly being updated and improved, but is already head and shoulders above other platforms. After using DrChrono for a year, we spent nearly two months looking at 19 other EMR systems. None of them came close to DrChrono on usability/scalability, customizable features, and price point. The sales staff worked with us to develop a custom set up for our clinic (cash-based laser therapy office). A few problems cropped up, but Gail on the Implementation team worked hard to fix issues, keeping us constantly updated and pushing their developers to provide fixes and solutions for us specifically. Having a dedicated Implementation specialist like Gail makes it seem like the whole company is working for just our clinic! It's been a great experience and I look forward to using DrChrono for many years.

Cons

Like any cloud-based system, there are rare times when the system slows or goes offline. This has happened twice over the last four months, but was resolved within 30 minutes each time.

### "Good of you are tech savy and able to make your own forms"

Outside of the EHR this software had the best set up of the 10 or so I did demos on. The EHR is not set up well initially but the ability to create your own forms make it possible to maximize the efficiency by matching it exactly to your office and workflow. However if you aren't a tech savy person you may want to go with a chiro specific software that will be better set up out of the box.

Pros

I chose this software for many of the admin tools and a lot of the "extras" I was looking for such as patient portal, online scheduling (only software I found that fit my needs here) and liked the ipad / iphone compatibility. It is very customizable which suited what I as looking for as I am pretty particular.

Cons

It takes a lot of setting up on the EHR end of the software. The base forms are not really for chiros and they then rely on the library other users have submitted forms to. These I found to be out of date and not really suited to the level of documentation needed for todays compliance requirements. So in short it is not a software that will flow well "out of the box" but will need some up front work to create forms specific to your clinic. The good new is this is a pretty straight forward process. The other con is that the "check in" is not really suited to repeat office visits in a chiro office but more suited as an initial visit on boarding.

The ease of use, the numerous videos that provided tutorials, the excellent support and customer service provided by DrChrono's team.

Cons

Have yet to build in telemedicine portal, for example doxy.me, into their platform. That's the only missing piece.

Have used Epic for 10+ years and was looking for HIPPA compliant software for patient medical records that could be accessed easily by any device, used remotely by my team for patient care daily, accessed easily by my patients via patient portal, was easy to learn how to use with training support, and most importantly that provided excellent customer service. Their team also provides billing services if needed. Easy to use during telemedicine visits. Have enjoyed all the reports it can generate as well.

### "Good but not great "

I've been using Dr. Chronos for about 3 weeks and am 50/50 on whether I will continue to use the software. While there's lots of options for customization, it takes a lot of time to customize it and the way the templates are structured can be confining. There is always an area for free notes at the bottom of each template, which is helps to balance out when the template is too restrictive. You get 5 hours of training, however, once I'd signed the contract (it's a monthly subscription) I was ready, but the first training wouldn't be for 1.5 weeks. There are some videos online which helped me to get started. I can see how the iPad functionality could make taking notes fast, however, it still takes a bit to flip from screen to screen or navigate to the point from where I can accomplish my task. Overall, I think it could be a good piece of software, but it's going to take some time to get it (and me) up to speed.

Pros

iPad functionality, free text form at bottom of each template. lab integration and insurance eligibility checker included in the higher premium plans; ability to expand with growth, including an option to have them handle billing insurances.

Cons

It can be a little slow to generate a full note (which is how you save your changes), or flip from screen to screen. Template customization takes a while. You have to email in for support and will get a return phone call, usually w/in an hour (I haven't actually done this - this is the estimated wait time I was given).

The medical charting can be customized to streamline patient visits. For insurance accepting practices, it helps to obtain maximal reimbursement.

Cons

The reports function leaves much to be desired. There are multiple areas in the reporting and financial areas that could be improved upon.

Pros

I liked the simplicity and straightforward design of its user interface: there weren't any major aspects of it that I had to struggle to learn how to master. The ease of design with the application of windows was reminiscent of old Microsoft products of the 1990s, which is meant to be praise. It meant there was little effort needed to understand the use of the product, and the data being presented to me. Searching was easy, and so was data management adding or removing information as needed. Finally, I most appreciated the search functionality, and how easy it was to move between files.

Cons

I least liked the inability to toggle in between windows. As much as I liked the straightforward design of the user interface, I missed the modern convenience of being able to quickly move from one window to another, or to toggle between different files. It was understandable why this is a development that has not yet been applied to this software, but it bothered me somewhat when I attempted to engage with the program in a way it was not yet prepared to accommodate.

Our training was insufficient. Implementation was not smooth. We used the platform for a couple of years but it never met our needs

Pros

The feature we liked best was auto posting of insurance payments. Also, the reporting package had great flexibility.

Cons

We were not able to integrate our existing scheduling software and the scheduler within the platform did not meet our needs.

Pros

DrChrono has an amazing organization template for electronic health records which sometimes I must check as an insurance dr.

Cons

This software is obviously made for doctors who have their own practice, it is not as user-friendly to others who might need access to a patient's EHR

### "Pros and Cons of drChrono"

I switched from a free EMR in May 2016. I make primary care house calls for Medicare insured patients. I needed an EMR that was Ipad/mobile friendly and included billing as well. I looked at many platforms. There are some nice options out there. For me though the selling point was the nearly full functionality on the iPad including an ability to fax right from the drChrono app on the iPad. There are a few things you can't do through the app and so I have to login to the main website to access these functions. I have the Apollo Plus plan and so I do not use the coding services, I code my own notes.

Pros

Ipad charting via app. Faxing within the EMR Avis the app and main site Good customer support, especially on the billing side Easy to use billing platform Cost effective compared to other EMRs I demo'd.

Cons

The note templates are fairly basic looking (when printed out) and my order forms for lab and X-rays look plain. Could be improved! Can't set tasks/reminders for a future date. No alerts when faxes don't go through.

Cons

I do wish there were a few more CRM options with the software. We are a cash based office, so I don't need the side but do need to track patient labs and supplements.

Pros

The patient portal, communication and confidentiality, patients are able to request medication , communicate concerns and retrieve records . We also like the New referral option, we are able to send a referral to other physician offices along with documents necessary to aide in the patients care , we are able to send everything in one fax. Very useful tool.

Cons

The site can run slow at time, also we are not able to complete some forms and orders online, in which would really be useful to be able to complete and send a Physical Therapy Referral or Prescription to the patient via the portal.
