I have used the software professionally for many years, and it has become an essential part of my digitising workflow. I value the precision, flexibility and creative control it gives me, especially when working on complex embroidery designs. Wilcom has grown with me throughout my career, from everyday digitising to more advanced techniques and professional production. It is powerful software with a lot of depth, and while there is always more to learn, that is also what makes it so valuable. It remains the platform I trust for my own work, my customers and the people I teach Pros What I like most about Wilcom is the level of control and precision it gives me over every aspect of a design. I can fine-tune stitch types, densities, underlay, pull compensation, lettering and special effects to achieve the exact result I want. It is incredibly powerful for professional digitising, while still allowing plenty of creativity. Most importantly, it helps me create designs that do not just look good on screen, but actually stitch out beautifully and efficiently on the embroidery machine. Cons Because Wilcom is such a comprehensive and professional digitising platform, there is naturally a learning curve when you first start using it. Some of the more advanced features can take time to fully understand and master. However, once you become familiar with the software, that depth becomes one of its greatest strengths. The initial investment can also be significant, but for serious or professional digitising, I believe the capabilities and control it provides make it worthwhile. The UI is fantastic - very intuitive and easy to learn. The software is loaded with features, it's highly secure, and the support is top notch. Cons It is yet not compatible with Mac so some users may need to purchase a different laptop. Also, they offer a payment plan if you don't want to spend the full amount at once. Pros Hatch Embroidery has been very helpful for me, especially when I was a beginner at using the software. Unlike many of the other paid programs out there, Hatch had a very user friendly interface and the different functions and buttons were not hard to learn. Hatch also has an incredibly accurate auto-digitizer and auto-tracer, so you don't have to spend too much time trying to outline an object in order to create stitches. All of my designs have come out perfectly, and I was able to start using this program to make + sell embroidery files and patches I've made on my embroidery machine. Also, Hatch does include every machine embroidery file type possible (PES, PEC, SEW, JPX, XXX, DST, etc.) so anyone can use this regardless of machine type and machine brand. Cons I didn't have anything that I disliked. I prefer this embroidery software over others.
