March 31, 2011 5.0 I highly recommend this program for any company that is looking at having an on-line performance management system that their employees and managers will find easy to use and adaptable to their goals/objectives. The ability to update one's progress during the year is a huge PLUS. This system makes the "annual review" a task one looks forward to completing. Pros 1.TrakStar is the only performance management software program on the market that will meet all of your expectations. 2.Easy to use 3.Adapts easily to your performance criteria 4. Wish there was a report you could run to see quickly and easily how many supervisors are taking notes throughout the year. Position templates are great. Wish there was a way you could update verbiage of a competency to only affect future appraisals and not the current active appraisal. You can customize forms. Pros Very customizable and the support team is always willing to help. Tons of helpful trainings, webinars, and documentation. Only downside is we wanted to do a separate workflow for 360 feedback after EOY reviews and it wasn't apparently easy to set up a separate workflow at a different time period. No extra charge, just a little time talking to Customer Experience to get things set up. There is a lot of flexibility. Visually it is easy to use. Cons There needs to be an app. We have many employees that don't use computers. Right from training, to ongoing questions to understanding financial restraints due to downturn in our industry. Pros I like the ability to drill down in an org chart. Really captures the distribution of the work force. Cons I wish that I could do everything right from my own administrator area. Rather than have to log in as a user to complete some steps (ie: remove the requirement of employees needing to do their own evaluation). HR Generalist Used the software for: ### "Trakstar was easy to implement as far as this kind of software it beats Halogen hands down" March 22, 2016 4.0 For those who use the software often, Trakstar is easy to navigate. That being said, one manager is constantly behind in completing evaluations and complains the software does not save changes. On further investigation it does save changes, but the user simply has to log out and back in to see the changes. I like the customer service I have received in using Trakstar. Employees like to be able to make notes and keep track of progress with or without sharing that with their managers. " March 22, 2016 4.0 Pros - very easy for users, notes can be hidden from managers or visible so employees can track all year, employees can see manager comments throughout the year. Support is always kind when I ask questions...which is often Cons - sometimes there are a lot of steps as an administrator. Hard to find issues when it could be in so many different locations. Cons They were not very accommodating to any custom alterations which was very frustrating. We were sold on the fact that this would be a customizable solution but this was not the case. July 16, 2015 5.0 Our company has used Trakstar for over a year and a half and are really happy with the system. The customer service is very helpful and speedy with setup or any technical difficulties that occur (not many do occur). I like the software as it is easy to use and it really is quite flexible and allows us to add and change our performance reviews as needed. You basically are given a blank slate with some traditional review options and you can create the review format that works best for your format. I especially like the ease of requesting multi-rater feedback (360 reviews) and also checking on the status of completed reviews as an Admin. It has made our appraisal system simple and efficient and the reporting software is brilliant. Thank you Pros We have recently purchased and commenced our Trakstar Performance appraisals for all of our staff. (We used to have the very time consuming, clumsy paper trail system) The staff at Trakstar were excellent!. They were supportive, informative and easily accessible even from the other side of the world. We wish there were editable instructions on each page for both managers and employees- instead, we had to direct them to an outside source. August 31, 2010 5.0 After the several vendors we interviewed TrakStar had the best overall system, quality, and cost. Pros We love the system. It is so very easy to use and the staff have adjusted well to an electronic version of their appraisal system. We are on-time and compliant in so many areas, organized, and are now able to track and trend behaviors so we can train accordingly. TrakStar helps us keep our organization as healthy as healthy as our patients. We highly recommend this system. October 26, 2009 5.0 This product has always met my four requirements for software. Pros I wanted a product that was easy to use, was robust, had good support, and was low cost. TrakStar has met every one of those requirements. By the way, I do not usually do a product endorsement, but this product is so good I am willing to do so this one time. In the two years we have used TrakStar, it has always been able to do what we have wanted to do. Any time one of our 125 managers has asked if TrakStar could do something, the answer has always been "yes". Cons I have not had any issues with this software.
