Excellent system. Would thoroughly recommend it. I have used it for 30 years to run my private ENT practice.

Pros

Have used for nearly 30 years for my private practice, as a sole practitioner. It has been reliable and intuitive to use and has developed incrementally as things have changed in private medicine.

Cons

It is a bit expensive for a sole user. Access to the system is limited to one user at a time unless additional licences are purchased at extra cost. On other words, my secretary cannot use it at the same time as I use it.

Having previously explored earlier accountants packages which were always focussed on commercial needs and very restrictive in their application, MidexPro in contrast proved highly flexible and it was easy to define templates which suited one's personal needs and in build detailing particularly relevant to the medical profession. The report generation, practice expenditure keeping, VAT provision and quarterly report preparation were easy to produce and collate as were any type of monthly or annual return or report that might be needed for example to track cash flow, outstanding and delinquent accounts.

Pros

I have used this software from its inception when it was still an accounting package. It was highly versatile and proved very adaptable to all the varying needs of the medical profession. It has now matured into a fully functioning integrated support package for all aspects of private medical practice offering a wealth of services not only accounting but patient care, records maintenance, pharmacy, scheduling, diary and recall facilities as well as supplementary linked services

Cons

Nothing it has always proved extremely easy to use and with the current cloud based services software protection and updating is not an issue.

35 years of uninterrupted successful practice, mostly due to Midex in the background. The ability to generate clinic letters and at the same time produce invoices is very helpful. The report section is also invaluable, not least when generating reports for HMRC.

Pros

Great back room support - the best. Nothing too much trouble and problems and efficiently solved. Very good value for money, especially when tax allowance is consjdered

Cons

Nothing. There is no significant problem and there is a constant development of new features. Not all the features will be used by all, but they are there if you wish.

My experience with Midex has always been positive. I have been with Midex for 15years (pre Cloud based). I find it user friendly and easy to set-up and link to Healthcode for simple billing processes. Help and support are excellent for both simple and complex queries.

Pros

I particularly like the efficiency of being able to access a secure cloud based system with up-to-date patient clinical notes and accounts on hand from any location. As a private medical practice manager to a number of individual medical/surgical consultants based in different locations the easy system access helps the smooth up to date running of clinics.

Cons

I am not altogether happy with the email system, although Word based it is difficult to edit and clunky, additionally I frequently have sent issues when sending to more than one recipient.

Open and transparent with communication. Honest, and to the point of the conversation. Great from start to finish.

Pros

The customer service was great. Dan was super helpful throughout and always on hand to answer questions.

Cons

Nothing so far. We are new to the system and at the moment, we require some adaptive changes to support our practice as we make the changes from one system to Midex. The team are open to supporting these developments, so lets wait and see!

Pros

Midex Pro is a fantastic software for private medical practice management. It has all the features needed to run a practice smoothly. No additional software is required. Great customer service too.

Cons

Could do with a multi practice task assignment feature for secretaries handling multiple practices at once.

Having previously used DGL, Meditech, Meditex (fertility), Semble along with a range of other systems, this is the best overall system I have used and offers the least downtime. The support team are fantastic, slightly ill advised in sports but are very skilled in the workplace.

Pros

Simple interface that covers all needs. Very few issues but even so, a direct line to the support team so rare downtime.

Cons

No issues come to mind at the moment. Genuinely any issues are resolved in real time. If I was to offer a suggestion, folders in the documents section can be useful to arrange documents.

I have been very happy with Midexpro having used this for many years and having used other various software I find Midexpro is ideally suited for the requirements of a medical practice.

Pros

I find Midexpro very easy to use and is quite intuitive

Cons

Not sure I can answer this, there are probably some small things, but nothing too large as if there is I contact you and you usually sort it out.

Fantastic experience - would be even better to specialise the package for allied health (psychologists, OT, physios etc) professionals

Pros

It covers all the needs for a healthcare SME, and the support is outstanding - there is always a (very pleasant and helpful) human ready to take a call and help

Cons

Would appreciate the package focussing also on other professions specifically eg facilities to add psychometric questionnaires and online completion and scoring; giving patients access to own records etc

Very positive. The support is generally immediate which is so valuable.

Pros

Speed and ease of use. Accessibility and support.

Cons

The encryption. This is a niche concern probably only relating to letters sent to GPs - they don't like it. A lot of surgeries are advised not to click on a link.
