### "It's adequate!"

Individualizations for each stylist. This allows us to book specific times for every service.

Pros

It's ease of operation is the best feature. I also love the reminder texts that are sent out! It's also nice to be able to customize to each stylist!

Cons

Not being able to use all features on a mobile devise that are available on a computer. I wish that when a price was adjusted, the system would remember that price for each individual client.

Booker is super easy to use! This year I added the booking app for clients and it has made booking that much easier. Shows the salon social media also which is awesome. I just wish they had a cheaper price point for smaller salons with 1/2 stylist or single stylist trying to use booker.

It is easy to navigate, for all levels from intermediate to advanced. From a management stand point the reports are key

The app is very glitchy and many errors occure with the booking process. Appointments often dissapear or never show up

Super expensive, simple software so I dont know what you are paying for each month. Ive swapped to a less expensive company and they have almost identical booking settings for calendar view at a lot better price along with many, many, many video tutorials if you ever get stuck setting something up or need any help they are there !

Pros

It is somewhat user friendly.. very typical booking software, fill in square etc.Nice gift certificate design option.

Cons

more price per month for SMALL business vs. the same software with another company lesser price a month System down, at least 4 times each month the system has a glitch and is unusable for the whole day ... that means no logging in, no scheduling, no taking payments. The system for booking settings will over book the same time slot.

Pros

I love the fact that it is so easy to use. Our staff loves the option to download the app on their phones and look at their schedules while on the go!

Cons

There are times that the system goes down and that problem seems to happen a bit more often than i would have expected.

This program is very easy to use and very simple. I use it daily and on my phone. It makes my work life easier.

Cons

Nothing much really. Booker has scheduling clients very simple. There's been a couple times where there would be days they were trying to fix the system which made us lose customers.

I converted to Booker in December of 2013 from a installed spa software that we had been using for 7 years. We were looking for something a little more hip. Here we are 10 months later and EVERY day at least one of my staff begs to look for new software. Booker is inconstant, unreliable, and basically a pain to use. There is no rhyme or reason to the problems, staff members show up to be scheduled on days they are not even working, rooms are not available to schedule (when they clearly are), you can set a booking order (for us based on seniority), but as soon as you refresh the page Booker automatically puts the staff in alphabetical order. I could spend my whole evening listing the ways Booker continues to cause problems at the front desk and through the whole spa. I do have to say the general customer service is always very pleasant (weather I was crying, swearing or calm). I think the beginning of the errors started with a incompetent implementation team and rolled down the hill from there. The other thing Booker does well is appointment reminders (unless you have a client trying to plan a surprise, deleting contact info from all place to avoid reminders is almost impossible) and integrated exit surveys. Over all Run, fast as you can away from Booker. I needed to give the software a year to make sure we were not hasty in our switch to something else and to be honest I was praying they would get their act together, because software conversions are not fun. Unfortunately Booker continues to disappoint on a daily basis. Knock off the fancy upgrades and get your basics figured out.

Having all of our client info, booking engine, payroll and financial reporting in one tool is the best.

Pros

I love that it streamlines all of my processes into one platform. Being able to access Booker from anywhere is a huge plus.

Cons

There is a lot of functionality on some things and not a lot on others. I would like to be able to build reports or at least see the back end of reports that are built so I can see where data is coming from. Lastly, sometimes being able to do the same thing multiple ways is just confusing. It would be neat to have greater admin control over features.

The interface is pretty decent, the menu mostly intuitive, and my clients like it from their end - HOWEVER - it seems as if they never test an update, they test it on us. The booking system will ping credit cards for you (for a fee which basically doubles the cost of the service) but when you try to charge for a no show the credit card will decline. When questioned about this they claim that the client used a card with a low limit on it, that it only pings for $1. So I tested it and had a client sign up with a card that was recently closed for fraud. It took the card for the appointment with no warning that it was a closed card so apparently users are being charged fraudulently for that service part of the service. It doesn't keep track of historical appointments accurately. I looked back at a day a year previously where I knew I didn't have any appointments (and have the credit card receipts to prove I was not at work and it said I was fully booked. IRS is going to have a field day with that. The email system isn't working accurately and leaves off huge gaps of text to the clients. Each time I called to tell them that there was another problem they said it would be fixed on the next update - not only were the existing problems not fixed, but new problems arose with each update. I had so many complaints that eventually my customer service rep stopped picking up the calls and wouldn't return any calls to say when the problems would be fixed and I ended up having to track down the CEO's office. While my customers like the interface on their end, the system is a business nightmare.

Booker version 2 is no good! Aweful software, I would never recommend this!

Pros

It’s base off a browser instead of your hard drive. There’s nothing else positive to say about this product.

Cons

You cannot switch to version 1 from version 2. Plenty of open tickets, so bad that you manually have to do your own payroll because the point of sale credit card machine they tell you to get doesn’t communicate well with the booker software. The point of sale credit card machine that they say only works with booker version 2 doesn’t communicate well together. Make sure your internet is fast and have good frequency. Customer service is no help. I have had booker for 8 months and they still have not fixed these important problems.

Pros

I have used both Booker and Boulevard software. Booker was more user friendly and easy to navigate. What takes 10 steps on Boulevard takes far less on Booker. Calendar view is much easier too. It is also east to run reports.

Cons

Our company runs off of universal memberships. We could not see as much details about clients from other locations as we would ours. Also, if a customer is past due on their payment, there is no notification when the week of past due is over. We had hundreds of past due clients we had no idea about until we contacted corporate to have a report ran by them. This cost us lots of potential income and threw off our numbers on the books.

They are often busy & hard to reach a rep during peak hours. M-F 9-5pm. I can not say that there is any product I have not thoroughly enjoyed.

Took away a lot of overhead for the salon owners. Can run their business on a lot less computer hardware.

Pros

Took a lot of stress off an independent it support team dealing with salons. We have 2 clients that we switched to Booker. They were both using different products, found this and switched. We almost never hear from them anymore because Booker does what it says it does. Flat rate pricing makes it easy for the business owner to budget.

Cons

I have said this a lot, and have to keep saying it. Make sure your tech support has the ability to go off script when needed. Support assumes everyone is an "end user" when I tell you I have done some preliminary diagnostics and the issue is not on this side you can give some people the benefit of believing them.

This is by far the best booking system on the market right now. The view is simple and everything is self-explanatory. Booker's customer service is amazing, and they are always quick to answer any and all questions.

Cons

Because this is a web based program, if your internet is down, so is your booking system. Web-based has both pros and cons but this is what comes with being web based.

Overall I'm pretty happy. It was very easy to learn, the step-by-step guidance is really helpful, and I like the way everything is laid out. the design is nice and makes it very easy to use.

Pros

Everything is laid out pretty well, the system is overall easy to navigate. The step-by-step guidances are VERY nice. A lot of tools available too!

Cons

Sometimes there's issues with linking packages together to get the packaged price. I have also had problems with booking an appointment on the wrong day because the system backed up to a previous tab.
