### "Easy to use multi-location booking software."

Easy to manage from anywhere with an internet connection.

Pros

Self explanatory. Helps us manages several locations from anywhere. We are able to customize reports.

Cons

Customer service isn't what it was when we first signed on to Booker. When the fix "issues" they break something else that was perfectly fine before the update. They keep adding users and the quality is going down year after year.

### "Horrendously poor support and crooked billing practices"

I've never enjoyed dealing with their support but recently they were bought by Mindbody and started with an email to all customers saying there would be no changes. Then they switched the billing from paying for the month of use to a month in advance, double billing one month to achieve this. To follow that up, they jacked the rates 241% by default or if you looked at their pricing you get take a lesser plan with a good chunk of your current features missing for a 28% increase. To get the mere 28% increase you have to waste hours talking to multiple support people then continue to complain to them to get them to reverse the charges that they over billed you but there never actually give you a refund, just emails of credits they don't actually put on your account. Find a better software solution and AVOID BOOKER.

It offers more functionality than most of its competitors

Cons

Their customer service does care if you're a customer or not.

### "Booker for non-salon-type businesses"

Our business is not a salon-type business where I can see Booker being extremely easy to use and very beneficial. Our business's use is a little more complicated and Booker did the best they could to try to accommodate our very specific needs and uses. I would really like to be able to drill down more in the dashboard for almost everything, but especially and most importantly for the sales data.

Pros

I like that I can easily see customer profiles and progress notes and information I need to see in their profile.

Cons

My least favorite thing about Booker is that it runs too slowly.

Booker could be more business savvy. Meaning...make the business side more efficient for the business owner to run the business. Reports need to be more user-friendly. Pre-book information needs to be more efficient. Service provider productivity percentages need to be more efficient. As a business owner I don't really know where I stand as far as percentages how we're doing on a daily basis unless I run a report and then the reports aren't as detailed space as I'd like them to be. I can't look at my business at a glance in Booker and see how I'm doing

### "Great Online service."

Pros

I love the online booking and e certificate sales. My staff has the option of viewing their schedule remotely and they also receive notifications of services which helps them know of their appointments. Clients also receive notifications which frees up my time in calling to confirm their appointments.

Cons

What I like least is when there is a glitch in the server and I am not able to book or take payments from guest.

### "Not the best, but also not the worst!"

Booker for Salons is not as horrible as some make it out to be, but it is also not the best software. It has some features others may not be able to look over.It has helped me this far and I've been in the industry 10 years now. I will say this is on the lower end budget wise, but I don't believe it's worth the amount I pay monthly. The only reason I still have the software is because I'm comfortable with it, and I've kind of just gotten use to it! If you can afford to pay a little more monthly, there is definitely other software on the market worth the money!

Pros

With being a mother two children, working 2 jobs during the week, and also being a licensed cosmetologist and having to book my clients around my schedule during my spare time can get a bit hectic! However, Booker has helped me out with keeping things organized. I like that I can pull up my clients and see their full information. It took me less than a day to learn the software, very user friendly.

Cons

I have attempted to call Customer Service ONE time, and that was the LAST time! Absolutely horrible service. Also I love that I can access all of my clients information in one click, but I can also see if this software is being used in a larger salon this could be a privacy concern. As a stylist I sometimes place notes in the file that others should not see..I would just keep that in mind!

### "Keinon is the BEST!!!"

The reason for this review is for Keinon.. I had an issue and he was amazing! He stayed with me until the entire process was handled. He did this with a great attitude, he joked and yet held his professionalism. I wanted to be able to talk to him all the time when we have a problem. He is an asset to your company and I wanted you to know that. About a year ago, I had another issue where I lost my password and called booker to ask what to do about it and was told, "there is nothing we can do about it you'll have to try to find it or figure it out.. I mentioned this to Keinon and he fixed it for me immediately..

ease, on line booking.

Cons

sometimes we can't book appointments for no reason.. it will say the room is not available or no employees are available when neither is the case.

I have been with Booker for 8 years and I LOVE this system. It has helped me to professionally organize my spa connecting me with staff and business and clients all in one package. VERY professional and it helps to make my business shine on all levels.

Pros

The way it organizes everything.

Cons

There are a few suggestions I have had that are business needs (would make things easier) and was never able to resolve working them out. They are still I consider serious concerns. There is nothing available to meet those needs, so I just modified and tweaked and moved on.

I often work remotely and Booker has made it so easy to do this. Either at home or on the road, I have access to the info that I need at all times. Each therapist is able to control their own schedule from wherever they are, at any time.

Pros

It meets our needs perfectly and is fairly easy to use. Set up went very well and maintaining it is going well also. Customer service is excellent but haven't needed it much. The basic package is adequate for our needs.

Cons

It is very glitchy on one of our computers. I have tried numerous things to solve this but it remains the same and we've had to get used to it for now.

Reason for choosing Booker

I chose Booker because of the features, cost, and customer service.

Absolutely terrible. I am So disappointed in MINDBODY for doing this to me!!

Pros

Nothing. What I would have liked most was for it to integrate with systems that I was promised it would integrate with. What I wouldve like was for it to look and work the way they told me it would. I would Have like to be able to easily import and export client, series, as calendar data...this is currently my nightmare and it’s a SCAM that they make you pay for it before seeing how and if it really works for you. That should’ve been my red flag...the contracts and the extremely high start up price.

Cons

What they sell and what they give are two different things. The software is incredibly complicated to use and there are tons more systems that work better and with more ease. I purchased this because I am in A neighborhood that has tons of exercise places that use MINDBODY and Booked was apparently bought by Mndbody but it doesn’t look the same, work the same, and frankly the customer service has been terrible at communicating. If I could actually see this software works then I may change My review, but for now I am angry. This company waists your time and gives you the run around.

I like that the basics of the software are easy to use. Training a new employee on how to create appointments, check a guest out or confirm appointments is fairly simple.

Cons

The reporting functionality has been an issue for us. Sometimes you need to run 3 reports just to get the basic information that you are looking for.

My hotel has been using Booker since 2012, the software has evolved a lot since then. Our spa receptionist like the fact that it is so user friendly for all Spa Booking peruses ,appointment scheduling to payment processing. I use the reporting feature for financial reporting and Payroll processing. The Spa Manager loves the recently added Marketing feature as well.

Pros

This software is very easy to use for everyone who is running a Spa and Salon. Our spa receptionist like the fact that it is so user friendly for all Spa Booking purposes ,appointment scheduling to payment processing This software offers a lot of reports to accommodate from statistics to financial reporting.

Cons

We had some issues with customer service in the beginning, but it has gotten much better now.

Pros

After using several booking software, this has been my go-to and preferred booking method for my cosmetic business. Sales tracking and inventory management are easy to monitor. The included POS system is easy to use as well and has been convenient!

Cons

Calendar compatibility is a con, however, I enjoy manually tracking within the software.

Support is Live people that are very helpful. Can do a lot of what we need in the business

Cons

Goes down, slows down at busy times, hard to get through to support or chat at times, can be a problem with double bookings. Can be complicated have to figure out work arounds Would like to see more reporting features like daily reports this year to last year

easy to use and navigate and get my business running from day one.

Pros

Easy, good functionality, decent customization options. Navigation is pretty simple an intuitive for the most part - orders is a bit clunky as you have to hit add order 3 times to get to actually inputting an order.

Cons

Reliability. There are/were quite a few slow downs and when it goes down it really impacts my business. I know it's not fool proof, but it would be great to have a back-up streamed line version that could operate when the main one goes down. Kind of like a safe boot mode in Windows. Also, the pop-ups are a bit annoying - most are not useful and dismissed out of hand. It would be better to have these in their own tab and like a badge icon indicate new info so I can review at my own pace. I am usually trying to do something when they pop up so I dismiss them and they are never read.

My customers of any age can book an appointment online, any time, day or night. My stylist can easily utilize the system to manage their own schedules, and include notes so the entire team is on the same page. There’s nothing to download and every answer can be found in the Help & Support section. When in doubt, we book ourself an appt and we have an internal lunch n learn and find ways to learn new tips and tricks that we’ve not encountered yet.

Moved over from another system had big hopes. Crashed several times, reports were a step down then what we had with our previous booking system. Pricing is the highest in the market.

Has good features for booking, retail inventory and gift certificate sales and accounting.

Very expensive, glitches, constant price increases. Would gladly pay if The reporting side warranted the price.

### "Great for spas but could be improved"

Would love to have a quick call with programmers to give quicks tips to make the online booking system the best by far.

Pros

Books couples massage requiring two therapist (this is a great feature and booker is one of the few that have). Super flexible GC system that allows the service , not the price of the service to show up (very important for spas).

Cons

No mobile options for people to purchase on phones. Also swiper/tablet options requires 5 steps to charge and close (not near as simplified as square). Online booking system is good, but could be vastly improved with one little coding tweak (it bases everything on the start of business day instead of appointments that are already booked, leaving gaps and missed appointments). I could explain this really quickly and booker would be the best by far, because you are the only one's that book couples massage.

Overall, good. I do not like the business practices that make one dependent without ease of leaving. And the price and quality can be beat by many competitors. Please note that Booker is not HIPAA compliant and therefore unsuitable for a business with medical charting of any kind.

Reasonably easy to use and manipulate, for both clinician and client.

Cons

Expensive, with drastic price hikes over the course of the nearly three years of use. No help in data transfer out of Booker beyond the very basics, making it difficult to leave.

Overall Booker was easy to learn, pretty user friendly, and helped us streamline schedules for multiple providers at once which I believe impacted overall experience guests had at the spa.

Pros

I liked the ease of integrating new specials or services we were offering. It was generally easy to navigate and was also integrated with our website which was convenient and allowed guests to easily book online.

Cons

At the time I was using Booker, I experienced many times where the program would freeze out would have really slow load times which made it difficult during high volume times at the spa.

Pros

Ease of use. We run multiple locations. Being moblie friendly and able to book from anywhere helps us be able to grow. I am a return customer. I've used booker in the past. We stepped away and are coming back cause the others where not fitting our needs.

Cons

V2 does not have the on line store set up for product purchases. It is not fully built out to the structures of V1. But I was promised by the end of the year. Your preferred merchant ... not sure I'm finding their value. The sales guy said they would be sooo much lower than Square. But I'm needing to jump through hoops to get the data from first data.
