### "Backend database is antiquated"

Front end interface is ok but backend database is an antiquated mess. Some of the promoted features like room and equipment assignments don't work and the help desk just tells you to override and not use the functionality. Systems bogs down on certain days and times making clients checkouts very slow leading to an embarrassing customer service experience.

Pros

Scheduling is ok if you have a simple business. Membership management and automated credit card processing is pretty good. Series management is also good if you have a simple business.

Cons

Many functions don't work as sold like room and equipment scheduling. System often bogs down leading to poor customer service.

### "Booker makes my business standout "

I own a salon and everyday I hear a client say "I love your online booking" or "you guys are one of the most technologically up to date salons". Booker and Fredrick help us keep track of our financial goals and progress. They also make it easy to market to existing clients and help acquire new ones. With booker you get 10x more than what you pay for. Thier customer service is excellent and thier platform is extremly user friendly even if you're not tech. Savy. I won't forget to mention that in my past two years with booker, they have implemented every idea we pitched to them which tells us they're goal is to offer the best software.

### "Best Salon Software Available"

Pros

I really like this software as it is my third. I enjoy everything about it. Booking appointments are easy and the system design is functional and better than any other software that I have tried. The security for employees to log in is strict.

Cons

There are a few things that I prefer to be able to do since I have been a user for almost 4 years. Having the option to block refunds to credit card so it doesn't come up on the order screen. Sometimes the system goes down and we cannot access any information. When services are credited back to customers, it doesn't reflect in staff sales report.

Easy to use, easy to book, easy to look at past and future bookings!

Pros

Excellent for booking appointments for guests. Easy to pull up upcoming and past bookings with names and dates.

Cons

This is a wonderful program that hasn't failed us yet. We have our employees using this program with no issues at all.

I hated them and will never go back. Absolutely negligent business practices by their vendor companies.

Pros

When I first signed with Booker, I liked the merchant services fees were better than Mindbody Online. Also, I liked that I locked in a significantly cheaper monthly rate as opposed to Mindbody.

Cons

The automatic emails at the time, could not be turned off. It didn't work with my type of business. Also, I hated the company that handled their merchant services. They put my account on hold after trying to cancel their services. A ridiculous customer service representative froze my account so then no deposits could go through affecting my payroll. No one told me that canceling my services with Booker would affect the merchant services or my ability to receive deposits. Absolute jerks.

Reason for choosing Booker

I chose Booker because the sales rep at the time talked up Booker. They also offered me a free ipad mini.

Easy to use and book and easy to refer to past reservations or even view upcoming reservations without any obstacles

Pros

Good rescheduling and ease of identifying customers with orders

Cons

The existing payroll is not comprehensive and this prompts us to use other programs and pay more money

Pros

This program works really well in a spa setting for not only massage therapist who have more detailed notes about customers where they have to chart notes in compliance with HIPAA, but also for the cosmetologist and esthetician to be able to record preferences and processes that they did per client.

Cons

When we first started using Booker the scheduling was a little wonky and would allow for double booking so I just had to start teaching everybody to pay attention and not over book or double book anything

Customer Service has been outstanding. Always there. Often immediately. Our clients love the texted and/or emailed reminders. We love the ease of use and the reports/history.

Pros

Customer service, ease of use, limitless power, reporting. Constant upgrades at no charge to us. And have a suggestion for an upgrade? There is a component of BOOKER where users can vote on potential changes!

Cons

Sometimes BOOKER gets bugged, slowing it down or shutting it down all together. However, these stoppages are infrequent and when they do occur, they are resolved very quickly...always with an explanation and an apology from Team Booker. Also, wish that the schedule/calendar had a button to jump 2, 3, 4 etc. weeks ahead in the future.

Disappointed is an understatement. I have been with Booker for 4 plus years and I expected a slightly bit more care during this pandemic that EVERYONE is going through. Such a selfish company, I really cant believe it. Money is not everything and I will never recommend Booker to anyone.

Pros

That my clients could book online and it kept my payments organized.

Cons

CONSTANTLY has issues with loading. They refuse to refund my monthly payment for the software during COVID19 even though their business is run by businesses that are forced to shut down. I am disgusted.

Pros

I set up this software for my aunt's boss, who owns a hair salon. she loves it, i guided her through how to use it. She, and i are absolutely satisfied with how easy it is to manage and keep track of. I absolutely love the fact that social media plays an important role in it.

Cons

I cant say there is something i don't like, but i wish it were more open to other businesses and not only just different types of salons.

Booker has allowed me to grow a 3 person massage therapy practice into a day spa offering massage therapy, facials, waxing, hair salon, nail salon, yoga, and so much more. I was also able to increase my retail sales. It's a snap to keep track of inventory, retail and back bar.

Pros

Ease of use for staff and clients. Our clients love being able to book an appointment. Tracking inventory and back bar is simple. The setup is easy. Creating specials with the marketing tab is a bonus!

Cons

I wish the software allowed us to block specific clients from booking appointments.

Pros

Booker makes many of our tasks simple with automation features and a full suite of tools. We are very appreciative of the new feature of integrating Frederick into our suite. The fact that I can create a newsletter and send in less than 30 minutes is amazing. I no longer have to worry about creating and managing email lists for clients. Booker does an outstanding job of tracking sales and giving me real-time feedback. The fact that I can integrate Booker's features directly into my website, Facebook and other platforms is exceptional.

Cons

Scheduling for classes needs to be a simpler process. We have seen issues with clients being able to book if they are members. A client cannot book two spots for their kids (if they have more than one) with a single email address. We have asked for this feature to be worked on.

This is a great software. It's so complete it exceeded my expectations. It is really that good.

Pros

Booker is a full and complete business solution for service companies. As the owner, I was inundated with so many software to choose from. A couple of my staff has used Booker and recommended it as viable. We went with it and trusted it would work. We didn't spend time with testing or sandboxing the software. We just went live as time we so short. It has really stood up to the needs we had. I'd say without it, we would not be performing like we are. It handles appointment schedules and follow-ups really well. It integrates fantastically with Clover as a total POS solution. It gives excellent reports. And the as on Frederick is invaluable. The smart marketing and integrated online booking is really well thought out. We are up and running with online gift certificates and online appointment booking. And setting up offers like packages was easy and very well designed. As a new business owner with no prior knowledge of Booker I can say is be lost without it.

Being able to use the software form anywhere is a huge plus.

Pros

I love being able to drag and drop appointments, it's really amazing! I also like being able to lock appointments to a specific person.

Cons

I wish there was a faster way to book groups or book a bunch of appointments at the same time under the same name. Maybe there's a way you can click an duplicated an appointment?

Pros

After using a few other spa software companies we switched to Booker 3 1/2 years ago. We like the fact that we can run both our locations off of the parent company. It is also a lot more user-friendly for both our employees and our guests through the online booking platform. I like the Frederick option as well.

Cons

I would like some more detailed report options. I didn't' appreciate the cost going up when MindBody bought out Booker.

I love mostly everything about Booker. Very easy to use and lots of great features. Our clients love the online booking feature! Ever since we switched to Booker, it has been really helpful for us in a lot of aspects as Booker does offer things our previous software did not. It's also very convenient that we can log on from a tablet, PC or phone to view schedules. Overall very happy with our experience!

Pros

Lots of great features like online booking, variety of reports, detailed client profiles.

Cons

At least once a month the server or something goes down in the middle of business hours and upsets the functionality of the software.

Pros

Booker is a great website for booking clients, and the ease of use is welcome as less time is spent booking which frees up more time to pursue more clients and to attend to current clients needs.

Cons

There have been some ups and downs with the software, though they do try to implement fixes as soon as they can. As with any software, or anything else, really, when one fix is applied other issues tend to crop up as things progress. Constant room for improvement.

I think that my stylists can access their schedules on the go, and not have to bug me about their day. But this system leaves much to be desired.

Pros

It's great to have access for all the stylists on their phones so they can see their schedules without contacting me directly!

Cons

The text and email confirmation system lacks consistency!! For many months I've been trying to get customer service to fix the Verizon bug in the text messaging system, but not only has it not been fixed, they've just stopped contacting me about it. Not cool that Verizon people don't get texts unless I manually send or rebook. And even the email confirmations, and other carrier texts don't go through all the time. I need consistency. When clients don't get their texts, they think they can not show up for appointments, and then my stylists lose money. Not cool

Have been using Booker for several years now. Started with it, and have no plans to change. In fact, we have added on Frederick & Bowtie to complement it.

Pros

Really like the feature of using an app on my phone. I can see at a glance what is the schedule and run dashboard reports at any given time.

Cons

Sometimes, or in some features, when you save something, it is permanent, and you can't un-do it. Or sometimes, on the opposite end, you can't tell if something was saved.

Reason for choosing Booker

Every single file for the document storage is GONE!!!!!, patient records, payments plans, EVERYTHING GONE!!! what a mess! no one answers the phone, they said because the covid no one is attending the phone??? really? this is a disaster for my office!!!!!

Cons

It's a little bit hard to get the reports and see the customers previous payments and visits, but once you get the software it is easy.

Management of my salon, althought I now have to cross check everything with my clover because my credit card processing is no longer integrated. I love all of the system notifications and client emails I can set up. The online booking is very easy and streamlined,

Pros

I love the online booking feature and the control of having each employee have their own log in. The visual presence is also nicer than any other booking system I have used. The app just keeps getting better.

Cons

I wish there was an easier pre booking feature. We purchased a clover mini expecting to be able to integrate the two and have not been able too. I wish I had more control of what staff log in's could see regarding client information.
