I'm working with the RegFox Help Desk folks to create a landing page for a series of events so that we can keep individual events separate for reporting needs, but together in one location for our customers who may be looking for an event in Atlanta while another customer is looking for the San Francisco event. Pros One of my favorite options is the back-end automation feature where we can pre-schedule registration confirmations, reminders, and thank you emails. Our department is very busy and to be able to set these up in advance is super helpful so that the communication, which is required, is going to go out without have to go back and handle that work manually and in another software program. I do really like the customization of registration pages; this allows me to collect the info. that I need for my specific programming up front, and not have to follow-up with each customer to secure that info. Cons The customization is a good option, but there is a con to it as well. Building templates for our organization to ensure that each program has the same basic requirements seems to be a challenge since each department uses the platform a little bit differently. For me, it's imperative that I include a Q & A section during registration so that I do not have to track down that information later using emails or surveys. This piece is not needed for other events, so we're working on those templates to be better defined for the type of work each team does. The people have been great to work with when questions come up. Pros The ability to customize the registration process is so beneficial for a successful event. Cons Scanning process does not work for our meeting requirements and almost a deal breaker. Trying to work with the program and helping to get it resolved. Pros Pricing is ideal for any size event. Our event had 24 price points - member/nonmember, group rate, early bird, general and late. RegFox customer support spent time with me on a screen share and set things up with ACTIONS so all of our price points we set automatically in the system depending how many people were registered at the same time. This saved countless hours of manually setting things up, manually registering teams, etc., in our own CRM that event management isn't as robust. Ease of just including the info we wanted and having a link to create a button on our website to direct to register and pay. Integrated well with our virtual platform Whova. Cons There isn't really any cons to using RegFox. We've been very happy with both the admin aspect and registrant end of things. It is an extremely helpful program that is fairly easy to follow and trouble shoot if needed. Pros Easy to use and if any issues do arise, customer support is extremely helpful! Cons Sometimes it's a bit harder to get some issues fixed if I'm not the administrator on the account. Because I work for Drake Ventures and they are the administrators on the account we use. But the customer support is at least about to get me the information I will need to resolve whatever issue I am having. Its just the extra steps involved is a bit inconvenient. Pros I really like the features it has to set up a registration page for an event in the way you want it to look. You can add things to it and delete what you don't need. It's easy to use (once I got the hang of it, I am not tech savvy at all). It was recommended for me to use by a good friend of mine and I am so glad I trusted her recommendation! I plan to use it to set up all future event registrations for the organization I work for as a Youth Director. Cons The only thing I had trouble with was when I published a page so that it was activated, I couldn't figure out how to make a copy of all the pages so I could put a hard copy in my file folder or at least save a PDF version of it. I am "old school" in regards to still liking a paper copy of what projects I am working on to keep in actual files! And PDF files, I can save on my computer. We have also used it to sell collateral content for our events. It seems to be a very solid platform. It's never gone down for me, and customer service is as near as the chat box. You can pay way more money for another Event platform, but you'd be wasting your money. RegFox has it all. Pros RegFox is perfect for our Event applications, but the #1 asset in RegFox is it's Customer Service. I recently needed help on a project and their CSR (\[sensitive content hidden\]) went out of her way to help me solve my issue. She sent me customized videos showing, step-by-step where to find and implement the solutions I was looking for. Later, she followed up to see that all was good. Our previous Event platform provider took days sometimes to return an email, and live interaction wasn't even available. Cons I do wish it were easier to copy-paste content from other apps without screwing up the formatting. It sometimes takes me an hour just to re-format content. Pros Lots of options and functionality for creating eye-catching registration landing pages and managing registrants, both for in-person and virtual events. There's even conditional logic! They thought about almost everything, and they keep adding functionality. Cons Their greatest strength (lots of functionality and creative options, including for virtual events) is also their greatest weakness. in their zeal for adding new functionality comes the "Jack of all trades, master of none" scenario. They do a lot of things, but they do very few of them very well. I'm often finding gaps, glaring omissions, or just plain buggy behavior in what they provide. Their API integration with Salesforce (through Zapier) is also one of the worst, with even Zapier not being able to validate their app. Instead of taking the time to do things excellently and well, they continue to push through new (half-baked and underdeveloped) options and functionality instead of spending that time fixing and enhancing what they have already built so that it performs optimally. I would much rather have five options that I can count on 100% of the time than fifty options that disappoint me 60% of the time. The Webconnex team are always pushing the boundaries to improve the software based on the most important feature the customer. I not only recommend Webconnex to my colleagues in the industry but make a point to refer then as they have changed our whole online registration process resulting in a huge growth in our online revenue and as a tennis club/camp operator that allows us to spend more time on the court while still taking care of our customers 24/7. Pros 1.The access to the webconnex team 2. The simplicity and exceptional functionality of the software 3.The flexibility to customize the registrations to our needs 4.First class look and professional templates 5.It is very reliable.... this is a big point of contention with software that is out there as alot of similar products are unreliable and do not have the support staff when problems arise and that hurts your reputation and not theirs. 6. the new social media share 7.Most of all the continuos upgrades to the software making it better each and every day and the teams willingness to listen to their customers on areas of improvement. June 30, 2022 5.0 Pros I had used RegFox in the past for meeting/event registrations and loved it’s ease of use. When I changed jobs and they were looking for a way to register students online for courses that used to happen in person pre-Covid I know this would be the solution. It is so easy to use and you can use it for so many different things. I was able to easily adapt it for our needs. I built a page with our courses and available slots and could even set passwords to stagger signups by specific groups. This has save our organization a ton of hours and money. Post-Covid we are still using it because everyone loves it so much! Cons Pages lengths are limited and you don’t know it until you try and save it. I spent a ton of time building our page only to find out it was too long and could save it. It should have a character/space countdown to show you.p what you have remaining on a page. We're serious, we're technologically advanced and take us seriously! Pros The product is very flexible and getting set up is really very easy. Their interface is simple and intuitive and if you need help, their help search tool is excellent and their help videos even better (short and extremely useful to solve your problem). And the Check-In app is fantastic! It did exactly what we hoped it would do and made the day of the event really professional. Used the software for: ### "Tough interface & product library; Great Customer Service" January 6, 2016 4.0 Pros: RegFox was recommended from someone in the payment transaction industry for registrations. I like that you can customize all sections of the event, and once you spend the time in the beginning it is smooth sailing. You don't have to babysit. The analytics are WONDERFUL. I was contracted to set up an event for someone else, and they are dazzled by having that information to check. I had a great deal of questions and problems while setting up my campaign. It was a blessing to have a responsive customer service team. Cons: The interface is a bit clunky for me. While I am a online registration novice, I do consider myself a pretty tech intuitive person. The set up of my campaign was extremely difficult and user experience unfriendly. Until the campaign launched, I had to call or message the tech support with a plethora of questions daily. Establishing the gateway was easy once I found my information on "settings" but once again - It just was not initiative on the site. Also, there was a glitch on requiring first and last name when I launch initially. The biggest improvement opportunity I saw was for the communication follow ups. Perhaps it was my novice brain, but I was trying to use this page to communicate with the registrants without the use of email. I had a welcome packet to send out and I could not delete the campaign after it was sent out. It also was not clear to me it would not be send out past the first people that were signed up at the time. The problem was resolved, but left me feeling uneasy. Further explanation on how to use this section would be great. All in all - keep up the great customer service, and customization of RegFox. Finance and Operations Staff Non-Profit Organization Management Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great System- Will Continue to Use" March 29, 2017 5.0 We had been trying to find a system that was easy for our event attendees to use while also not forcing us to track down payments, and RegFox helps us accomplish exactly what we need. Some of the tools take a bit of getting used to, but the customer support has helped us overcome our hurdles. We really like the automatic payment charge feature, which allows us to get a deposit initially and charges the balance at a later date. This helps some of our families that don't have enough money to pay outright when they sign up, but it ensures we get the money they said they would get to us. We no longer have to track down payments, which saves us countless hours of work. Though the price can get steep for events with a higher cost, the time (and thus cost) saved on the part of our admin team is worth it. Cons Before learning all the ins and outs of Reg Fox, I assumed it could operate like an Amazon shopping cart. While there are some outstanding features in Reg Fox, it doesn't have true cart functionality, so it would be an issue for you depending on what you're trying to sell or accomplish. Pros First off - their customer service is incredible! one of the customer rep is awesome and really helped us out of a bind with our event. I've used RegFox for several clients and events and it's been a winner every time. Their fees are more than reasonable, everything works perfectly, and overall it's an awesome product. Cons Their primary in-house payment Gateway is WePay. We signed up and started collecting funds for our event, and WePay came back after several tickets were sold and said they were going to have to hold a large amount of funds. This wouldn't work for our event, so we talked to her and she let us know there is another option used for cases like ours. I wish this was advertised as we could have saved ourselves a few days of headaches.... but she got things taken care of immediately and made sure everything was fixed as we needed it to be. Cons Just one thing so far, which is that the font color in the confirmation is inconsistent, and I have tried to highlight the text and choose the color. I still get gray and black text, which must be due to the editor. Do I really need to know HTML to fix this? Should be easier. Other than that, I don't have anything to complain about.
