Love it! Easy to use. Takes a some getting use at first like any other software. But once you are familiar with it, very user friendly.

Pros

Tech support’s prompt response when ever we run into glitches. Though more often than not it is due to hardware issues and not the program itself.

Cons

Having to set it up initially. Took some time to figure out what I wanted office templates to look like and what would work best for our office.

Amazing. It's been very nice being able to easily access customer support whenever we have a question.

Pros

The customer support is amazing, very convenient and the training staff is very knowledgeable. We only run our optical department through Crystal and it has the best optical program especially for the money.

Cons

That there isn't premade templates to choose from for the custom invoices & statements. The way that the billing is done and how it shows up on a statement is sometimes very confusing.

We were not using their optical program. There's seemed confusing and not complete. Our clinic and ASC just switched to ModMed. They also don't have an optical program but they partner/integrate with other optical vendors. The other vendors cost more and didn't seem to be better that Crystal.

I like ease of use, navigation is easy .

Cons

getting too expensive, can not determine patient's out of pocket for glasses or medical, I wish you could copy R side of exam to L so do not have to repeat, wish could work on ipad, would be nice to have a list of shortcuts

For the most part, it works, but there are facets that are not reasonable for even a small clinic. Documentation is tedious, in order to add components you need for a Patient chart, you have to utilize what is in the system & make do. For Example: Pharmacy - we need the preferred pharmacy for each Patient. We had to utilize "other referral" to enter it. On our Intake forms, we had to basically recreate the form to add the needed information when updating a Patient's chart each visit. Your tech team is very good - they know Crystal very well, what it will do, what it won't do, so that saves time. They are willing to assist with work-arounds and showing me how to find what I am looking for. I appreciate their help as we rely on them regularly. Please provide them huge kudos! Thank you!

Pros

It's easy to use, user friendly, has the important information needed to schedule Patients, to keep information on their visits, record notes/chart, etc.

Cons

The changes Crystal makes sometimes does not make sense - for example, in the billing section - you have to check a box in order to look up diagnosis codes, then add it to the list of codes needed to bill by clicking an arrow, then if there are old codes that are not needed, you have to arrow those over to the other side and save. If the codes are in the wrong order, you have to arrow up or down. . .very time consuming. . .the old way you could remove diagnosis codes by holding down shift, then selecting all of the codes not needed & delete them. None of this arrow, arrow, arrow stuff, then save. . .before they auto-saved. Very time consuming for a Biller.

I have used Crystal PM for 15 years and their support has been great! I would definitely recommend the software for single location offices.

Pros

Crystal PM continues to improve their software with refinements and 3rd party integrations. Their 3rd party integrations has helped us with improved efficiency and increased sales.

Cons

The UI looks outdated and the underlying MySQL database system can be slow. I only wish they can update their UI to allow better scaling with Windows 11.
