It’s a professional tool that gives you peace of mind when managing a rental business. Cons I wish there were more image options available when customizing the website. The selection feels limited, especially when trying to make the site visually appealing. Other than that, everything has worked great so far. You need to start taking back your time. Time is money. Pros I was on the fence for a long time about switching over and going digital. For almost the past 15 years I have been hand writing everything. I have no idea why I never switched to Rent Centric a long time ago. If your still thinking about it, Don’t just take the leap and do it, you won’t regret it. I have saved many hours if not days using the system. I was able to cut out a lot of the paper work I used to do by hand, now the system does it for me. The system is very user friendly, even for people that struggle with the “NEW” technology. If you don’t understand something you can contact them and they get back to you right away. To be honest they have one of the best customer service I have encountered in a long time. I have gotten many complements from my regular customers about how more professional it looks. It saves all my customers and reservations now. All I have to do is click on the customers name that I added in my system, and it adds all the info to the contract. I can now get them out within mins. The System also allows you to run all different kinds of reports such as, vehicles, customers, rentals and reservations, and also a bunch of management reports. They have Complete Checkout/Check-in Vehicle Inspection via Tablet or Smartphone. Pictures and Videos, that you can add to each one of vehicles. No more losing money on damages. One of my favorite part now is that you can validate someone's drivers license, which can save your bacon if something happens. Cons Haven't found any cons yet. Setting up the product takes time and trial and error, but at the end it will work. Connecting it to a Wordpress site and making it look pretty is very challenging. Finally, connecting to third party solutions for a smooth car rental experience is limited, which eventually steered us away when we saw we had outgrown it. Pros Rent centric has been around for a long time and they have a good product with great capabilities and reporting functionalities. It does its job, and it does it right, but it falls short of larger deployment where the operator has locations in more than one state or where the operator needs better financial metrics on a per VIN basis. Cons Rent Centric has a basic integration with Wordpress, but it needs some extra work. Also, Rent Centric needs to be able to integrate with OTAs and third party solutions. One page, less steps to complete rentals or reservations. Would love to discuss improvements or updates from user perspective. Unsupported. Expensive. I could go on and on about the lack of customer support being the biggest issue we had, but the bottom line was that their system didn't support our needs on any level and it cost us thousands of dollars. Our customer experience declined greatly and who knows how much their errors cost us in business. I would never recommend their product. Pros The only thing I liked about rent centric was the day I was finally able to cancel my over-priced and extremely under-delivered subscription. Cons The thing that sealed the unsatisfactory deal for me was the blatant disregard of our company needs and the lack of congruity when dealing with user issues. Every time I called, I was given completely different advisement on how to handle the same ongoing issues - none of which resolved with ease. Each person on their team had a different answer and yet none of them worked. The amount of frustration experienced simply trying to communicate with their team was nearly the undoing of my small business team. It had become a daily point of contempt. Reasons for choosing Rent Centric We chose Rent Centric because our largest competitor also used them and we knew that our company would be able to grow to the level we have set as a goal with their system.
