Pros: We have been using ExpensePoint for a few years now and we have nothing but positive things to say about the software and Team. We recently engaged ExpensePoint for a project to upgrade the way our expenses are uploaded to our financial system. The ExpensePoint team was very helpful throughout the whole process. From listening to what we needed to delivering the upgraded features to the system. We recently rolled this out globally and it is a game changer! The amount of manual data entry we were doing before this project was astronomical. The new process is not only efficient but very simple with just a few clicks of the button. We highly recommend ExpensePoint. Thank you for the continuous support.

Cons: Overall the system is great. One thing that could be updated is adding a search field to the User tab. Having so many users and scrolling through can be a pain. Another update could be to allow more lines to be exported at a time. Currently I believe it is only 5,000 and when running a report for a large category like client entertainment I have to pull it several times to get the full year. Again these are small items but would be nice to have.

Comments: Let me preface this review with the fact that I work for a small non-profit with about 55 employees. ExpensePoint works well as an expense reporting program.
With the help of our customer service rep, I was able to setup our account code structure and approval chain. The account structure requires a sort of high level programing to assign certain departments different account codes and project numbers, etc. I don't come from an IT background, but I know my way around a computer, and I didn't have an issue setting this up with a little help from our customer rep.
Our business assigns project codes to different account codes almost annually, so it can be a challenge to then go into ExpensePoint and change a bunch of the rules so staff can access the correct account codes. They could improve the account code chain setup and make it simpler to edit them. The approval chain will require some tweaking from time to time as the business structure changes, but is much easier to manage than the account structure. We also make use of the credit card integration so that our staff can create credit card expense reports in ExpensePoint. It was a bit of a challenge, but we were finally able to get Visa to give us the correct file type needed, and now it works flawlessly.
We also have the reporting section of the program which allows us to run reports based on almost every input field in an expense report.
ExpensePoint can also be integrated with accounting software, such as Financial Edge. I can't speak to how well that works, as we're still in the process of getting the two programs integrated.
The only major issue we have had is that there is no way to file expense reports when they have been paid/ approved through the system. So, when I go into my account I still have old expense reports from 2012 sitting in my profile. If they could make it so that after the end of the year, every report dated 2014, for example, would go into a folder labeled 2014, it would really streamline the experience. This may be a minor complaint, but it is quite annoying. All in all, I would say that it¿s a solid program that does what we ask it to.

Pros: After consulting with my AP group: increase in speed processing of expense reports by importing into our accounting system. Automated approval process. Manage sales TAX in different provinces. Generate valuable reports for income tax purposes for our sales managers. We like Theresa at customer service!

Cons: After consulting with my AP group: when importing into SAGE, date document after the import does not provide the actual range date of the expense report but actually the date it was imported. We have to go manually and adjust = inefficiency.

Pros: Intuitive, even for team members who have not undertaken any formal tutorials or training. Team loves the functionality of taking pictures of receipts on the go and submitting reports even when on the road. Reporting allows us to ensure that submitted reports are reviewed, approved and paid on a timely basis.

Cons: We are still working to fully customize the software to properly track units of measure (number of attendees, nights, car rental days, etc.) but the occasional miss is not a material con.

Overall: Elimination of paper receipts, automation of account coding, simple tool for users which encouraged adoption and prompt approval and payment of employee funded receipts which also encourage adoption. Electronic workflow ensures proper approvals and accountability.

Pros: Easily adaptable for the specifics of our company.

The Receipt Wallet makes capturing expenses the easiest part of my job!

Pros: Customizable to our needs - we have been searching for 2+ years for a company that would make
expense reimbursements to our employees an easy process, for both the employee and the accounting side. As a church, it has been hard to find a company willing to put in the extra time and brainwork to get the system set up as we need it. Found both in Expense Point.

Great customer service - while we have just begun the relationship with Expense Point, they have
been attentive to every question we need answered, and every detail we need worked out to ensure a smooth flow between their reports and our accounting software.

Employee training - Expense Point employees go the extra mile to ensure that our employees
understand the reimbursement process from start to finish, and provide links to those trainings
just for us.

Price - having researched a lot of companies, you can not beat Expense Point's per employee
rate.

Cons: None yet! We start our live process tomorrow, so looking forward to working with Expense Point
to get it going.

Cons: Cloud-based - that isn't completely fair because we knew that, but having an offline mode for the mobile app would be very useful.

Overall: We have moved our global expenses over to ExpensePoint at the beginning of the year. It has been a nice and easy transition, and the team at ExpensePoint has been extremely helpful throughout the entire process, and made it very easy and painless.

We've had a few challenges with handling multiple currencies on a world-wide basis but nothing major and all of our inquiries have been handled promptly.

The online training has been great and they have been very flexible about arranging training sessions for people in Australia, Europe, Asia and North America - always a challenge at the best of times!

Would highly recommend it to anyone considering a move to ExpensePoint!

Comments: Our litigation consultants travel constantly and they generate a lot of expense transactions that have to be identified by client project and type of expense. They love consulting and don't like spending time on administrative tasks like expense processing. Expense Point allows us to capture expenses quickly and accurately with minimal effort from our employees. New employees pick up Expense Point quickly. Since it is web-based, updates are hardly noticed and employees can process their expenses anytime from anywhere. Our accounting team is able to review and approve expenses and download expenses into our time and billing system very efficiently. Receipts are easily retrieved. EP's Customer Service was excellent during our initial set-up - knowledgable and easy to work with. On those few occasions over the past 4 years when we have experienced problems, Customer Support has quickly resolved the issue. Overall, we have been able to reduce the time it takes us to process reimbursable expenses and reduce errors from mis-coding using a reasonably priced application that our employees find easy to use. Good all around.

Comments: I was tasked with looking into Expense Point for our company because we¿d been using the product for several years, but the original administrator had long left the company and no one else had really dived into it. I couldn¿t find any user manuals, but what I did find was a contact name¿.Theresa Hicock. I called her and explained the situation. Immediately, she answered several of my preliminary questions and sent me both an end-user manual and an administrator manual. She allowed me a couple of days to read through the publications and then we set up a training/Q&A time. She has been fabulous! She has helped me to not only clean up outstanding expense reports, update our users, categories, coding, etc., but to also upgrade our system to receipts imaging. She also delivered a personal tour of best practices with the system, along with some video links for training. We are now making plans to train our users to utilize the mobile app and receipts imaging. I have past experience with other expense reporting tools, but the customer service I¿ve received from Expense Point (and particularly Theresa), as well as the product itself, has far surpassed my expectations!

Comments: We went Live with ExpensePoint during the last quarter of 2013 and the experience has been nothing but superb. Majority of our employees who took advantage of the initial go-live training from the Subject Matter Experts (SME) at ExpensePoint were very complimentary of the ease and friendliness of the system. Although, as with every new system and change, there were a few pockets of employees who have been slow to adapt but with time, they have come to realize that the system is very user friendly. Since going Live with ExpensePoint we were able to eliminate the supplemental payroll cyrcle which were usally on the alternate week of our regular payroll processing. So basically, we have gone from 52 payroll cycles each year to 26. In addition, this consolidation to just two bi-weekly payroll cycles have helped us reduce/eliminate the weekly expenses for direct deposit ACH transmittals for the reimbursements payroll process.
Overall, the expensePoint employees have been very helpful in their knowledge transfer and have always been available to answer our questions during and even after the critical Go-Live period of the system implementation. Having worked in the payroll environment for almost 18 years, I must say that I have been very impressed with the ExpensePoint system from a cost savings point of view for our organization and the ease of use of this system. The interaction with the ExpensePoint team have been very positive and I will be happy to talk about my experience with other potential clients who might be considering this system for their facilities.

Cons: Inability to split quickly when its among 20+ different locations. It is very time consuming to do splits on the corporate side that are split among so many locations.

Comments: We have moved from old style spreadsheet expense reporting to ExpensePoint and we are very happy. After much research and reviewing at least 10 other programs, ExpensePoint overall rated 5 out of 5 stars with great reviews. They are well established and, from what I found, are the leaders in expense reporting having been founded in the year 2000. You can expect affordable price, free implementation, free line support and free training (as many sessions as your company or staff needs). The features are extremely user friendly and best of all¿.the Customer Support is exceptional. Although we are a small company, there were many variances required in the initial set-up. The ExpensePoint support team always had a solution for each and every circumstance and helped me out each step of the way. They are always happy to assist and reply extremely promptly to any request or question. I have nothing but good things to say about ExpensePoint and about the support team at ExpensePoint. Pros: Cost, webinars, customization capabilities, creativity of the staff to help meet unique needs, the responsiveness of the staff, ease of use, training videos, cost (I know I already said that, but it's important. I looked at several web based expense management systems and this was by far the best and the fact it was the least expensive was a bonus!)

Cons: I can't think of any, other than supervisors forgetting to log in and approve expense reports. But that's our process problem we are trying to resolve.

Overall: If you are looking for an excellent online expense management system, your search can now stop. ExpensePoint Web is hands down the best system out there. We looked at several other systems, and even got through the installation stage with another system, only to discover management reporting could not be done. When I found ExpensePoint I was skeptical they could do all they claimed to, but was soon put at ease. The staff at ExpensePoint is very creative in helping to figure out solutions for unique issues. They are responsive to calls and questions. They offered excellent suggestions for implementation which helped ensure a successful transition. Several features we said we would like to see have shown up in product updates. Most of our users have found it very intuitive and easy to figure out. Don't be a "wish I had". Contact ExpensePoint and you'll be a "glad I did"!

Comments: Our existing manual expense reimbursement process was time consuming, open for errors and required considerable administration. Our company was growing with staff in 4 different states and Mexico so we made the decision to move to a more automated method to submit, approve and process expenses.
We reviewed over 5 different options and made the decision to go with ExpensePoint. All aspects of the system are proving to be excellent. The user front end, the approval and payment process and the reports for financial administration are excellent and very flexible. Our remote users particularly like the smartphone app interface.
The ExpensePoint team have been an excellent resource and support through all stages of implementation. The helped set up the system and trained our users.
We are very happy with our new expense processing procedure which is based around ExpensePoint.

Pros: The software's accessibility is great. The monitoring capability is helpful. I also like it that we have the control on some portions on the set-up, such that we can already do some minor changes even without going to customer support.

Cons: - Some limitations on the reports that we can generate such that we cannot make reports based on what we info we need, we can only utilize the current available reports
- there is no approver's capability to assign their replacement approver in case there is a need, without going to the customer support
- there is no capability on tracking receipt by Accounting of the hard copy of receipts
- some reports do not have an indicator on the report summary that receipts are attached to that report unless you looked at the expense summary

Overall: The approval flow of our expense reports becomes faster and tracking becomes easier.

Pros: Probably the customer service- everyone is very helpful, attentive, and quick to respond. The wallet, and being able to attach the receipts to the credit card transactions as well.

Cons: I would be even better if categories could be assigned to certain vendors whose categories never change, and auto-populate the information in the expense details.

Overall: better time management and ease of sorting through transactions

Pros: From the beginning with one of the customer rep. in sales and her knowledge of the software, live webinar and correspondence were great. What she said they would do, they did. Even after the sale they answer the phone and emails promptly. The Support Team was very prompt on scheduling Webinar trainings with our employees both on individual and group basis. We knew going in, they didn't offer "OCR" / Read Receipt, but were working on it. No, it didn't come as soon as they were hoping, but they didn't give false hope either. Once they implemented "Read Receipt" and "Receipt Wallet" the notification, training and videos made it easy. This software is very user-friendly.

Cons: Only corporate credit cards automatically feed to the software. Limitations on customizing reports to company detail needs.

When I have an issue I can either call or email and the best part is I can hear their smile over the phone and through the emails.

Expense Point has been extremely helpful in wrangling our credit card process into a pleasant and manageable system and for that we are very grateful. They are very knowledgeable and were great in setting up Expense Point to meet our needs as we are a little unusual in that I prepare the reports for the users who then edit and submit.

Expense Point have set the bar pretty high when I find the need to hire other outside service companies.

Pros: The features are exactly what I needed for my traveling workforce. I picked ExpensePoint because of it's ability to grow with the company and the knowledge that it is evoling to todays changing technology. My implementation not only got me started on creating that first report but gave me the knowledge to maintain the system on my own. When setting up the credit card transactions I was able to create the template in 15 minutes and import. My regular hour process of entering them is now gone and I can literally finish an expense report in minutes. The design of the system really does keep the end user in mind.

Cons: So far I have not found a single reason!

Overall: I recomend this to all companies big and small. The ExpensePoint team goes the extra mile to bring you incredible service. In the past I have used other expense software and I have never seen such a pain free implementation process. My salesforce was able to do training from their pc's on recorded training and I did not loss and productivity. My accounting department is happy, and my employees are happy. Win win for me.

Overall: I went from a traditional expense program logging receipts and and documenting every detail. Since we went to Expense Point the support staff has be really great and helpful the program is easy to use and all expense topics are available. Customer support representative and staff have been helpful when submitting expenses for approval.

I cannot imagine doing expenses any other way... it is really great.

Pros: First everybody we talked to was very professional and very reactive on every requests we had (even proactive). Great Customer Support!
Then what we like the most about the software itself is that it's very user friendly and very flexible for the company needs. Also best value on the market.
The receipt reader is a feature that we really love.

We are using expense point since a little more than a month and our company is very pleased with it. I definitely recommend it.
We are still in the process of integrating expense point with our ERP and looking forward to it. That would saves us a great amount of time.

Cons: I don't have much cons because when we have a problem we notified the customer service that take care of it.
The only thing right now is that we are eager to have the Spanish Version!

Overall: So First benefit is that people don't have to carry around there receipts and lost them, and for us that the huge benefit.
Then I would say that on the long term it's gonna reduce the work of creating the report (waiting to see how the integration with our ERP works first!)

Comments: We've been using ExpensePoint for over two years now and have been very happy. I do feel that the application has limitations on my end, even as and administrator, such as not being able to push through reports that are stranded with approvers who are not available. But my customer support representatives, Theresa Hicock and Eva Gao, have been absolutely phenomenal in helping me with problems that i cannot resolve on my end. They have consistently given me quick and helpful responses to any questions and i believe gone above and beyond to check my workflow setups to make sure i have done them correctly.

While i think there are sometimes unecessary limitations in what an admin can do, the customer support is strong enough to make up for it.

Comments: We are a Non-Profit Organization with over 100 credit card users and have a very complex General Ledger structure. The credit card reporting process was manual with minimal oversight and our employees had to mail all their receipts to the Accounting department. The Expense Point software has made our credit card reporting more efficient and we now have better oversight of our credit card spending with a standard approval process. The software is easy to use and administer with very powerful reporting tools. The pricing plans are both affordable and flexible depending on usage and will pay for itself in gained efficiency and savings. Comments: We have been using Expense Point for about 6 years. The system is easy to use and we have experienced very few problems. Our employees travel a lot, so we have a high volume of expenses each month. Expense Point has definitely saved us time and money in processing these expenses. The recent upgrade brought a cleaner look plus nice improvements to uploading of receipts which our employees really appreciated. The upgrade also provided greater search and reporting features for our accounting staff. The best feature of Expense Point, however, is the customer service. Never a delay in getting support; questions are answered quickly and thoroughly. This is all-around great software.

Pros: Simplicity of coding expenses.

Cons: Inability to store receipts prior to credit card transactions posting to a user's account.

Overall: Previously, our organization was stuck in a paper-driven process. We were nearing the opening of another location which would cause us to spend way too much time and resources to transport expense reports from one location to the other. ExpensePoint has eliminated that entire process by allowing our staff to be literally anywhere on the globe and still be timely with reports. Not to mention, the headaches saved for administrative staff to chase down someone to approve reports. Now our staff can focus more on mission and vision!

Comments: Expense Point is super easy to use for our sales team. They live at the airport and often use the mobile application with ease. They appreciate confirmation when their expenses are approved to they know when to expect payment. Also, Expense Point was able to host trainings on how to use the application- for free!

Accounting adores Expense Point. It was easy to train the sales force and any updates that need to be made for new account codes or general rules are very easy. We uploaded our expense policy on the site for reference. There are drop down fields and free text fields so all information is easily captured and there is no more back and forth. The output file is in excel which makes accounting happy!

Pros: Expensepoint is one of the best expense management systems we have used. The best feature in my opinion in the ability to import directly from American Express. As a user with sometimes a hundred or so charges per month it makes my life much easier. The offline access is a huge plus as you can work virtually anywhere and sync your entries. Auto GL coding, Lockout Capability, Multi-Level Routing is a huge plus. Setup is a breeze as is adding users as needed.

Cons: Not many that I can think of. It would be nice to be able to scan a receipt and have the system OCR and capture the expense items. Also a one touch import from credit cards would be nice in the application rather than having to download and import.

Overall: I highly recommend this product if you want a very easy product that is dynamic, easy to implement and very customizable. The support staff is fantastic and over the years have addressed all our concerns quickly and efficiently..

Pros: The software itself has an easy-to-use desktop and mobile interface. You can use the software via web or download the desktop app for quick access. My company's application was slightly different from common use and the team at ExpensePoint quickly assessed the need and manipulated the program to best fit. Not only that, they continuously trained us on using the program AND were quick to troubleshoot anything that did quite work with the manipulated features.

Cons: Unfortunately, it is a stretch to find a con, but as a team we agreed that being logged out after 5 to 10 mins of no activity.

Comments: Transitioning from paper purchase orders and receipts to digital can be scary, but ExpensePoint made it easy for us. In a hurry? Just snap a picture of the receipt with your phone and submit. Done! No hassle of keeping up with receipts. There is a desktop version, too, that works in tandem with the mobile app so you never have to re-enter your expenses. Our staff loves it, and I don¿t have to track down purchase orders when it is time to pay the bills. The friendly and helpful ExpensePoint reps worked with us to customize the program to fit our needs. I highly recommend ExpensePoint for big and small companies.

Pros: Very great and complete expense report tool. Wallet options, receipts readers, credit card integrations are all great tools that make save a lot of time. The app is very user friendly and straight-forward. Customer service and Professional services are very helpful and responsive.

Cons: Web-based software is a bit slow and could be more userfriendly and the process for recording expense reports in accounting would deserve some work

Overall: I get the expense report from the staff and visa reconciliation done a lot faster. People love the fact that they don,t lose their receipts anymore, which also helps save everyone a lot of time.

Comments: I am a huge fan of expense point. Finally, an expense report that goes where I go. Both personally as well as administratively.
Expense point¿s mobile app is great. No more loosing or forgetting receipts. I have it on my phone & can attach receipts to my expense reports by just taking a picture and uploading it. Honestly, it's the easiest and most convenient expense software I've ever used and makes doing expenses less of an imposition.
The customer service representatives are like no other. They have always resolved every issue

Comments: Expense Point provides a wide range of options to track, review and audit expenses while it also lets you do it almost form anywhere.
Even though it has some technical issues from time to time, customer support is fast responsive to any issue you may address to them.
A very god deal of the program is the option of generating all kinds of expense reports based on an ample selection criteria.
I would only recommend that they should work towards modifying the Credit Card report files to let you upload credit card expenses including previously all the criteria and in an easier way ( no adding one by one to the report)

Our company has quite a few levels of approval and quite a complicated detailed system that needed to be figured out and implemented. Pros: Once the functions of the software have been discussed, it is easy for the admin to navigate and customize depending on the Company needs. Comments: The team at ExpensePoint really went above and beyond as we implemented ExpensePoint for all our offices around the world. This was complicated in that we have many different requirements, including multi-currency needs, complicated approval levels and structure, and many location specific expense categories. Theresa, Eva and the whole team made the process painless and efficient. On an ongoing basis, support requests are handled quickly and efficiently. Our users in all locations love the system, especially the mobile capabilities and ease of use. A++ in all areas!

Comments: So far this has been a very big help to paying our employees. It has made my job that much easier and less to worry about when processing our employees expense reimbursements. Comments: We moved to ExpensePoint over a year ago when we decided to make our expenses process easier. The help with the setup has been great and to this day the on-going support is first class. Whenever there are changes to be made these are done with no hassle and are actioned quickly. The best part is that our ExpensePoint is perfectly tailored to what we need and is easily used by all our employees. The phone app is extremely popular with most of our employees who use it.

Comments: I've recently moved our expense reporting to ExpensePoint and I am extremely happy. From the very initial point of contact I had to the very last training, the customer service was outstanding. Every question & concern I had was addressed and answered. They understood from the start that I was under enormous pressure as our existing contract was ending in under two weeks and they pulled it off. We had a demo, setup the account, did administrative training, and held 2 user trainings in a matter of 9 working days...AMAZING. I have no 'cons' to report...but the 'pros' are GREAT customer service, a GREAT system, and annual savings - who could ask for more!

Comments: We switched to ExpensePoint several months ago, after becoming dissatisfied with the system we were using. I reviewed several different companies before deciding on ExpensePoint. We require the consolidation of expenses in a manner such that we can bill our clients for travel expended on their behalf and have found that ExpensePoint provides all the detailed information to do that. When I need to have help on any issue, the customer service provided by Theresa and Eva have been outstanding. We are extremely happy to have made the decision to go with ExpensePoint, as it has served all of our expense reporting needs.

Pros: Super adaptable to our organization, very easy for our team to implement and use. The biggest thing with software like this is to make it easy on your team or they won't use it. The Receipt Wallet does that and more. Our team is never hunting down receipts now! So Satisfied in our purchase.

Cons: I don't really have any negative feedback. This software has been very easy to work into our system and we are super happy with our purchase. The customer service has been incredible.
