Their interfaces are modern and intuitive. Their service is fast and efficient. Their expertise are top notch. Pros I like that they are responsive. We have been able to work with the same developer for over 12 years now and it is great because he knows our processes and is able to assist us very quickly. Cons They were acquired by Epicor a few years ago and since, we've had many billing and contract issues. We've had to have long email conversations trying to get that straighten out. We had a lot of challenges with their development team model. They are offshore and often not in our time zone. The issue becomes when having to work with Epicor to try to get to the 1 EDI Source support person. Pros The ability to custom the maps to how I need them. Adding extra words to get to the 100 character min. Cons The documentation on the Operators is not very friendly. There is not a how it is used examples. Some of the documentation is VERY VERY old. EDI Consumer Goods Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Run like the plague is coming" February 8, 2024 2.0 In my opinion we were sold a dream. The level of support is nonexistent. I would not recommend 1 EDI Source to anyone even if it were FREE. Pros \[sensitive content hidden\] is the only PRO I can think of. He is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He gets the job done and is patient enough to offer an explanation. He converses with you without making you feel like he's talking at you. Cons Our account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] is not supportive nor responses. Reached out for business-critical information yet she never bothered to respond until I emailed her stating that she never responded. Instead, she opened up a support ticket on my behalf which I could have done myself. Turnaround time for support tickets is too long for both Tier 1 and 2. The portal is not user friendly, yet we are being forced to utilize it. The US is a serviced based country, yet human interaction is never on the forefront of the business. Their team has been knowledgeable, responsive, and supportive throughout our relationship. We look forward to continuing to work with them and further developing our partnership. Pros The team at 1 EDI Source has been great to work with. They are very knowledgeable about their product, responsive when questions or issues arise, and always willing to assist. The application itself does have a learning curve, but their team did a great job of helping me understand not only how to use the system, but also how to manage it independently. Over time, I’ve become comfortable troubleshooting issues, managing our EDI processes, and making changes on my own. Having knowledgeable people available when I do need assistance has made the overall experience very positive. Cons The biggest challenge with 1 EDI Source is the learning curve of the application. There is a lot of functionality available, but it can take time to understand where things are located and how the different parts of the system work together. Some processes are not always intuitive at first and require experience with the application to become comfortable. That said, the support and knowledge of the 1 EDI Source team have helped significantly in overcoming that learning curve. It was a great system to learn EDI on, and as I learned more about EDI, the software became easier to understand and use. Learning both together helped me get comfortable with the system and master what I need for my work. Pros 1 EDI Source makes managing EDI transactions a lot easier and gives us good visibility into what is going on. It is a great tool for researching transactions and trying to figure out where an issue is coming from. Their customer service has also been great, and having training available is a huge help when you are first learning the software. Once you get familiar with the system, it is pretty easy to use and works well for our daily EDI needs. Cons The biggest thing for me was the learning curve, especially when it came to mapping. I was new to EDI, so learning how the mappings worked in the software took me a while and there was a lot to take in at first. As I learned more about EDI and got more experience with the system, the mapping side started to make a lot more sense. I think someone who already has experience working with EDI would probably pick it up much quicker. Review Source Nichole P. Pros As a professional in this business of EDI for many years, this is one of the most flexible, easy to understand as well as easy to modify systems I have encountered. The flexibilty and options provided for accomodating all of our customer specific needs are phenominal and I have seen several variaties. Cons The ticket system is where there is a problem....I understand a need but it sometimes takes an act of congress get to the level 1 tier support that we usually require since we are an in house EDI shop. February 14, 2025 4.0 I have been using 1EDI Source products for many years and find them to be reliable, and easy to use in most cases. There are a few issues that need some work, but overall it has been a money saving product in our environment. Pros EDI-HQ is very reliable and has kept a similar interface over the years, which makes moving from version to version much easier. The AS2 product is very reliable and we have not had many issues with it since we started with it. Solid programs. Cons There are some issues I have had with AS2 Complete connecting email with Azure Exchange. On EDI-HQ we have seen some UI issues on the mapping section, but we are not on the latest version yet, so that may have been fixed. The mapping tool is the best I've ever used. It's fast, reliable and very robust with the options it has for creating complex mapping. Cons The only thing I wish HQ did was allow for an export to Excel from the Filter screen. Highly recommend both their software and managed services if you do not have a dedicated EDI team. Pros We use managed exchange managed services. The interface gives you all the detail required to manage processes, and their support and mapping services are second to none. Really great service. Cons The ManagedExchange web interface is a bit clunky and very slow at times as compared to most modern web apps. Can be a bit frustrating, but you learn your way around it. Being able to see map changes immediately is a huge benefit as it allows you to change things on the fly and see the impact. EDIHQ has a great archiving feature which lets you save a lot of data to an archive database so your operating database doesn't experience any lag. Very easy to search for a document you need, even if you only have a small part of the data in your search criteria. Cons Sometimes after clicking on a quick access filter, the screen will minimize to the background. Not a huge deal, but sometimes confusing as to where your window went. Cons The program is very large in scale and it's hard to understand all the features inside the program without taking a proper training course. Data Applications Director Used the software for: 2+ years ### "User friendly Software that tackles all the customers from simple to very complex" July 31, 2018 5.0 It runs the whole company Pros I like the ability to use HQ to solve all of my custom programming needs in one spot rather than using my ERP. HQ automatically sets up T-sets with new customers so most of the set up is done for you. It is very easy to update sender receiver ID's, create carbon copies for the DSV customers that you don't need to flow through your ERP but rather just forward the 850 to the warehouse for pick, pack and shipping. It is also easy to navigate through the system because the language makes sense. I have over 30 customers that all have different needs but so far every need has been met with HQ. Cons The only thing that is tuff about the software is figuring out how to use Map Designer but I think with proper trainer it wouldn't be an issue. Review Source JT Jason T. Pros As you know EDI standards are mainly used as a guideline. The mapping process is easy to use for basic maps. Cons The mapping process can sometimes be somewhat challenging when doing more complex validation/configuring of the output data. Cons Being a SAAS product when network connectivity issues arise the ability to maintain our logistic operations is stained. December 7, 2017 5.0 The benefits I get compared to our former software is graphical mapping. The graphical interface for both inbound and outbound mapping is very good, they just need to be more consistent. Applying operators is easy, most of which were not available in our former version and would need to be developed in the WMS. Pros Visibility to events is easy to setup, view and filter. The application has a very feature rich set of operators which we are beginning to use with more complexity. Cons My only wish was that the mappers were closer in functionality. We can filter down the documents to find errors quickly. The ability to have the system send emails when there are errors is a plus for the way we use the software. Pros The interface is easy to understand without much training. The consultants know what they are doing and know their software. Cons The outbound processing a little clunky. I don't know how to map something, but not have it sent. Missing visibility of standards.
