### "Ideal software is you are looking to improve customer service "

August 22, 2022

4.0

Overall this software is great if you are looking for something that does what is says it can do and offers valuable insight into what your staff are saying to your customers.

Pros

Calibre is a simple and easy to use but powerful software. Depending on what you are looking to get out of it - it gives you the ability to record and analyze calls and play them back to gain real insights into your business and where your customer service or sales agents may need improvement. You can also create dashboards that show valuable insights into staff performance on things such as call times, volume, what your customers think of the call.

Cons

There are not many cons but it does require some knowledge to set up and use properly and if you are a very large company it can start to be expensive.

### "Top notch recording"

November 5, 2023

4.0

Overall, this is a very important and in-depth way to track and record data. I would recommend this product to small and big agencies alike. Quick service and quick user interface. If you need accurate recording software then you need this!

Pros

I really liked the quick record search. Very easy to specify dates or time with a quick feedback rate. No waiting for five minutes to pull up data like a lot of other programs. I also enjoy the screen recording. This is great for multiple uses. Mainly for court cases we can go back and review calls for the case. We do use it to train monthly so everyone can see/hear good calls and ones that could have been done differently.

Cons

No big cons to this. The only problem I encountered was the search function not pulling all records available. One quick call to service the problem and it was fixed in no more than 10 minutes!

### "A suite of tools designed to improve business intelligence"

September 29, 2018

3.0

Pros

Unlike the other reviews (which are talking about the ebook management software), this application is designed to improve your business intelligence with a few different pieces of software. I am most familiar with the Mentor QA suite, which helps you track the personal development goals of your employees and partners. The interface works well and is surprisingly easy to navigate.

Cons

It is a complex piece of software that needs knowlegdeable experts to set up. It can also be very expensive, depending on the size and scope you need.

### "Manage your e-books easily for free!"

June 29, 2021

5.0

As a passionate book reader and an education professional I like to keep my collections tidy and be able to search for books by keywords, titles, tags, etc. Updates are frequent and each time one has to go through the installation procedure (although one's parameters and databases do NOT get lost). However, one can skip most updates since they only solve minor issues (mostly device specific) and only install a new version when major changes are announced.

Pros

Calibre is a free software to manage ebook collections locally. By backuping your local book collection to cloud storage and using additional software you can connect to your books from everywhere. Collection management via tags and categories is easy. Metadata management (including automatically downloading covers from public-domain websites) is also easy to understand and fast. The software also includes some powerful conversion features across ebook formats. Reading devices like Kindle and Kobo can easily be connected to Calibre to manage books that are stored locally on the device.

Cons

Sometimes I wish the usage were a bit more intuitive. The options are so many and the possibilities so rich that sometimes you get lost in the manual. However, one can easily find his/her way through the most frequently used features and become productive in 15 minutes or so.

### "I always liked this software before"

September 3, 2021

4.0

Great until recently. Pretty useless for me now.

Pros

It's free (although I have made several donations over the years), and it's easy to use, at least in a basic mode. If you have a file in one format, it's pretty easy to covert it to another one. The more elaborate features, like editing an epub file, are, not surprisingly harder to do.

Cons

When editing an epub file, Calibre will show you what the text will look like in the preview window, but you have to know how to edit the HTML tags to change any of the formatting. It is by no means a WYSIWYG editor. Also, I somehow managed to delete the left pane and no longer can see filename and thus I cannot edit epub files. I was hoping to upgrade and maybe that would restore the default, but the upgrade Calibre will show you what the epub will look like in the preview window, but you have to know how to edit the HTML tags to change any of the formatting. It is by no means a WYSIWYG editor. Also, I somehow managed to delete the left pane and no longer can see filename and thus I cannot edit epub files. process now insists on the right to totally change your browser and I don't like that at all!

### "Beautiful software!"

February 28, 2020

5.0

It has helped me have access to hundred of books. I have always downloded epub files and I import it to Calibre.

Pros

Calibre is a beautiful software, which is absolutely free to use. You can import epub files and you can also change the styling by writing your own CSS. I love how it looks and they are doing a great job at keeping us happy.

Cons

There is absolutely nothing I dislike about Calibre. I have always recommended my circle to use it and they too, find it to be great.

### "Not a better book management software than the free and open source Calibre"

June 5, 2019

5.0

I had few books that needed to be converted to a regual ebook - to be read across major lending softwares like Adobe etc. But the problem was the books were encrypted and digitally signed. I used calibre software to rip the DRM to a normal book.

Pros

First of all its free and open source, accessible across major platforms, Ebook management, functionality of converting books from one format to another, stripping a digitally signed copy of a book(DRM based), usage of various plugins, compression engines to reduce the size of a converted book, using the calibre as a server and reading books portably - the list goes on with this wonderful software.

Cons

Sometimes Calibre is found consuming more memory than expected.

### "Excellent EPUB reader for PC"

February 20, 2019

5.0

Pros

With more and more ebooks are published in ePUB format, it is necessary to have a good ePUB reader. For PC, there are several options. Calibre is, in my opinion, the best. It is the oldest ePUB reader and it has excellent functionalities such as managing metadata, managing covers and even transferring files from one device to another.

Cons

Calibre's design is old fashioned. It also automatically prompts for adding books to its library when double clicking a book, making user need to dismiss the pop up box. If a user forgets or clicks on the wrong button, Calibre will add the book to its library, leading to multiple entries of the same book.

### "Does everything you need it to , somewhat confusing UI"

September 23, 2020

5.0

I use this product for converting documents to formats my kindle can use. I have yet to find any document it cannot handle. It is amazing it is free!

Pros

This has an incredible set of conversion options. I have yet to find something it cannot do that I need it to

Cons

The UI (like many free products) can be a little confusing to use, but not terrible. Some of the buttons and other options could be labeled a bit better

### "Best way to keep your e-books organized!"

October 12, 2019

5.0

As an author, I'm also an avid reader, and with everything basically going digital these days I found myself buying and downloading e-books almost daily. From authors, I'm interested in reading, to resources on marketing and writing, almost everything can be found in e-book format. But eventually, you start to run out of space, and things become difficult to find, which is where Calibre comes into play. I absolutely love that someone came up with this! It makes it super easy to organize all your e-books in one place! They absolutely mean it when they say you're never more than three clicks away from your goal, it's that easy to navigate and use! I also love that they don't just work with one format. I've got kindle books (mobi) epubs and iBooks, and Calibre can handle them all! I can even download newspaper and magazine articles, I mean, seriously, what other software can do all that for you? Calibre is a MUST HAVE for any avid reader, no matter which format of e-book you prefer!

Pros

Easy to use. Keeps things organized. Great Customer support.

Cons

I honestly can't come up with one bad thing to say about this software.

### "No better way to manage ebooks for your tablet"

October 7, 2020

5.0

The many ebook formats out there and limited functionality from tablet to tablet is frustrating, but Calibre removes all those problems. There's not a better ebook organization system I've found. Highly recommend it.

Pros

Calibre seeks to be a one stop shop for ebooks and documents for your tablet and it does that phenomenally well. Seamlessly converts into any format you could hope for quickly and efficiently, and can work to import content within the program or apart from it. The best!

Cons

It's not the slickest looking software in the world, but I'm much more interested in content than looking pretty. Also wish it would wirelessly transfer to my Kindle, perhaps there's a way to do that that I haven't figured out.

### "Organize your e-book library"

December 3, 2019

4.0

I don't use the software very often. It seems better for nonprofessionals who want to organize their personal e-books, rather than for businesses, but it's possible I'm missing something.

Pros

If you want a way to organize your e-book library, Calibre is a great free option. You can also use it to change from one book format to another. As an independent author, I've found other methods that are simpler for that if it's a book I'm publishing. However, if you like to get Kindle books and switch them to ePub for your own use, or vice versa, this would be a good way to do that.

Cons

I do not find the software especially easy to figure out. I'm sure that if you used it more often, you would quickly know how to do what you wanted to do.

### "Fantastic Book Organization"

December 15, 2018

5.0

Love Calibre & don't know what I'd do without it!

Pros

I love that I can have multiple "virtual libraries" to organize both my insanely large ebook collection as well as my vast print book collection. I use it as a wishlist of sorts, also. Tags are extremely helpful & I'm so grateful for the robust format conversion functions. The content server allows me to access my library from my phone & tablet, which is yet another fantastic feature. Oh yeah, & it's free!!

Cons

The interface is a little ugly, but it IS getting better & is customizable.

### "My default software for converting e-reader files"

February 6, 2019

5.0

I have downloaded the desktop version on all my personal machines for many years now. Whenever I am interested in a new author or book, I first "sample" a "free" version which helps me decide if I want to purchase the said material. This process has led to many sales for various authors I would have not otherwise have purchased. As these "free" versions can come in various formats, Calibre helps me change the files in my preferred format before transferring them to my e-reader. I have recommended this software to others and will continue to do so.

Pros

Easy to use. Great way to organize a local library.

Cons

Does not offer (or I have not found a way) to save a profile online and save my library in the cloud (am relying on other solutions for this which ads a some overhead to the whole experience).

### "My Go-To for Creating Ebooks"

December 7, 2019

5.0

Despite the minor quibbles, I really do love using Calibre. I've been using it for years, so it only takes me a few minutes to upload a previously formatted book and run it through Calibre's conversion to create the various book formats I need for publication.

Pros

Once I knew how to best convert to the formats I needed for my books, it was easy to go in. I can create ebooks very quickly if I have a file ready.

Cons

If you don't know what you're doing, it can be difficult to create an ebook properly. Also, no matter what I've done for formatting, I can't stop Calibre from creating two Table of Contents, one at the beginning of the book and one at the end. It's not a big deal, but it would have been nice if I'd been able to find a way to not have two.

### "Good software for ebooks"

March 26, 2018

5.0

Pros

Useful app to read ebooks in different formats especially epub. Calibre remembers all books you opened in it so you can easily find what you want to read without finding ebook file on your computer - you can find it in the Calibre.

Cons

I have only one issue with the Calibre: when I try to convert epub format to the pdf format it doesn't work correctly.

### "Calibre"

August 31, 2019

5.0

Overall, my experience in using this software has been great. Options exist that are cross-platform to make this available to all.

Pros

This software is awesome in cataloging and reading your e-books. It accepts a variety of file types and does it with ease.

Cons

Its design is focused more on cataloging books than features in reading them. More effort could be put into development with the reader in mind.

### "Great ebook Software "

February 10, 2017

5.0

I use Calibre whenever I'm having trouble with file format or organizing ebooks. It's free but well designed nevertheless. I use it primarily to convertical books from one file type to another. It has a great many more features I don't use. Finding help and how to advice about it is very easy with an online search, though it takes some practice to figure it out. I've never had it crash on either of my laptops, and it does what it's supposed to. I think the user interface could be less clunky, but no real complaints.

Pros

Super useful for ebook management. Helps with DRM issues.

Cons

Cluttered and a bit confusing.

### "Easy conversion for free"

July 26, 2019

4.0

Very positive. It does what it says on the tin, and that's for no outlay. Who can ask for anything more?

Pros

It's remarkably intuitive, even for dunces like me. I managed to convert a book to an epub version very quickly and it worked perfectly. It's far more forgiving of epub book versions than Kindle, reading pretty much anything you throw at it, and it can take a Word document or PDF and convert it in minutes.

Cons

Actually, not much. I did have to play with it for a while to figure out what it was capable of, but I've used professional software that wasn't nearly as user-friendly as this.
