Pros: Updates are quarterly - offers desktop version and online hub version. Can use the software for general use on ipad. The myhub is great for running cards.

Cons: Still working on modernizing their online portal but making great strides to catch up. Limited support on the weekends.

Pros: Its super easy to learn and use and it offers a lot of different functions. I like the full software a ton more than the web edition although the web edition is good for on the go.

Cons: I wish it was something you could access all features from a tablet or phone. The full software has a lot more to offer than the web edition.

Overall: Makes it easy to manage everything in one place

Pros: Extremely functional and focused specifically on the self storage industry. Has all the horsepower you will ever need and then some.

Cons: It costs more than other software, but it's worth it. Oddly enough, the sheer number of functions is almost too much and is sometimes overwhelming, but it's nice that it has it all.

Overall: Tremendous information sharing and control, extreme functionality, excellent automated features.

Pros: What I like most about this software is that it is extremely easy to operate and it is fast and efficient.

Cons: What I like least about this software is the applications used for formatting forms are not user friendly.

Overall: Fast and efficient functionality.

Pros: It is very user friendly . I have used for 5 + years and have minimum problems with it. Never has it gone down in the 5 years exculpatory tech support

Cons: With multiple units it is very difficult to lease and add payment methods. The question it asks can get annoying

The one-pay feature is powerful when you apply less than is owed and you are paying enough to satisfy the rent-first or fee-first default your system administrator or owner has set up. Pros: Some of the reports are easy to understand. When you look up something it's to find what your looking for

We are trying to understand what you mean so we can help. SiteLink automates tasks like emailing, texting and sending letters. One of the most popular features is the automatic Reminders menu where your system administrator chooses levels of automation for you. Example: Some owners now autobill credit cards automatically at midnight. Others prefer to let managers do a lock check first, unselect any moved-out tenants from the autobill list, then process the batch and charge all remaining tenants with one click. The advantage and difference of each method is clear. We are glad to offer both options for credit card and ACH billing, invoicing and other tasks. The top two suggestions or wishes we get from clients are┬┐both tied for first place┬┐to have fewer prompts and to have more prompts asking "OK" or "Are you sure you want to complete this transaction." Pros: I would have to vote for the team viewer as the feature i've found to be my absolute favorite. This feature allows for me to learn as well as help someone else in quickly and efficiently, without the phone line being tied up trying to explain a situation to a co worker at another location.

Cons: The one area that is in my opinion a con is the lack of ability to spell check notes prior to saving them. i understand there is probably a good reason for it but often i find i miss a letter when typing in quickly and if i had the ability to run a spell check on occassion it would make notes more understandable or easier to decipher.

Overall: the option to review it.

Our development team focuses on solid enhancements that ensure program stability, and spell check implementation options for Windows applications don't meet our reliability requirements. Pros: The pictures and icons make navigation simple. It's user friendly and has all the needed functions to keep the process clearly organized.

Cons: There are some functions that are not needed for our storage site and seem to clutter the pages with unnecessary processes.

Overall: It was simple to learn and the functions work near perfectly with our processes

Optimized for mobility and speed, myHub offers a new, streamlined UI with clear, organized labels and tabs for uncluttered viewing. It is free and part of your Web Edition package. Based on client feedback, SiteLink offers more menus, features and functions that you may not need right away but you'll be glad to have when you do. For example, transferring payments, reversing accidental move-outs without losing or cluttering ledgers, applying multiple discounts, transferring discounts and other adjustments are not everyday items but are critical to have a certain times. Pros: I love the ease of sitelink. It's very user friendly, and easy to navigate. I love the reminders board as well as being able to set the bulletin board to help you manage your tasks.

Cons: I don't like when we have updates we don't know what has changed. We just kinda have to figure out what the update has changed.

Overall: It makes everyday work much more easier

Pros: The Credit Card processing, it is so easy with this Merchant Services. I will always know when a customers Credit Card has been declined or is expired.

Cons: multi unit move ins, I can not get them to connect together without going through the adjustments page. I would like to see it made easier to add. I also do not like that when I am doing a move in the unit I have chosen does not show on the customer information move in screen. I have to write it down before I continue with the move in

Pros: The ease of use and the ability to access support at any time. We love that we are able to link other software rather easily as well

Cons: Not having the ability to split payment's for corrections. Often customers rent more space than is needed and in order to move them out of unnecessary space it would be easier to just credit their credit card for a partial amount

Thank you so much for being such a long-time client and for posting here. The situation you mentioned is common and appears in various ways. You can always refund monies directly through SiteLink, without going to your virtual credit card terminal. You have one login for SiteLink and your virtual terminal. You can transfer one tenant's unused prepayment from one unit their other unit. A caveat: as a financial control, SiteLink cannot allow refunding more money than is owed the customer. However, you can credit any amount for past days' rent instead of refunding those "used up" rent monies. For you as a multi-store operator, I hope the enterprise-level, Corporate Control Center is helpful where you can work with refunds and bad debt write-offs for all of your stores together, as a group or batch. Pros: SiteLink offers so much in one program. We are now able to accept online payments and reservations. The program notifies us daily of tasks that need to be accomplished. And best of all, the customer support team is extremely knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons: Although the program and support team are amazing, it has been a challenge to learn to use the Keywords accurately. A cheat sheet to those Keywords is the one thing that would make it easier.

Overall: Online payments and reservations, daily task reminders, and eventually we will no longer have to do a paper billing.

Cons: There seems to be a lag at times. We have over 1000 units so it may have trouble working through that amount of data

Pros: It's easy to understand and very user friendly. The tech support is very quick and friendly for questions. We love that it is so easy to integrate with add on services (texting, merchant services, Sparefoot, our website, etc.

Cons: We wish a few things were easier. Price increases should be more customizable. We really dislike the chargeback system and with that was integrated with web edition so we knew when to reverse a payment on a customer's account.

Pros: The access to all of the reports that sitelink offers helps determing where we can make improvements.

Cons: Nothing stands out as a dislike, they even make it possible to use our phone in the event of internet power outages

Pros: Ease of use. The graphic interface is fine but it's very text based still. Could use easier search functions

Cons: The inter-connectivity to other apps and the way it lower screens constantly. You can be in the middle of a transacion and the screen will just drop behind ANYTHING else opened.

We understand your frustration with screens, ideally we would love to have all windows open and viewable, at all times. The Windows OS does not allow for this, so only the active window will be viewable on top. One way to mitigate is to minimize screens as you go along, keeping only those you need right at your fingertips. You also might like SiteLink myHub, the browser-based version of SiteLink. It contains the same data you have in Web Edition and is free to subscribers, and is completely mobile-friendly - use it on tablets, smartphones, Macs or PCs. Pros: Easy to navigate. User friendly. I have personally contacted the help line and was pleasantly surprised how helpful they were.

Cons: I cannot think of any issues that I have had with Sitelink. The reports are well organized and easy to find. I could not be happier.

Overall: Very user friendly. I used this software before, when I worked for Mini Storage Depot. Liked it then too..

Pros: Ease of use, I can put someone who's never worked a day in storage at a computer and spend minimal time going over the basic functions and they are able to pick it up without issue as it's all straight forward.

Cons: Nothing to really dislike, anything if picked apart enough could be improved but there's no glaring issues that are dealbreakers for sitelink.

Pros: again the mobility!!! We have the ease of using it in the office and are now using the mobile app

Cons: I wish I could link the computers together to talk to eachother and update at the same time. Also I wish I didn't have to do as many live live updates. I hate the dreaded files cannot be updated.

Pros: I love how easy it is to use and understand. It is so much more user-friendly than the desktop versions.

Cons: I hope that you add SiteLink training videos on how to find things and navigate around the system just as you did for the desktop versions.

Overall: It is so much easier to use and navigate around than the desktop versions! I can more easily pull reports and find what I'm looking for because of the new dashboard design and set up.

Pros: Very easy to use and understand. I am able to do all of the things i need to with out any problems or updates

Cons: nothing really to complain about at all everything i need to do gets done very easily. Only thing that annoys me is the log out after so many minutes but i understand the need for it so not a big deal has to be like that.

Pros: Technical support is great if you have questions or need help! I have called them for several years and they never seem to fail me. They are wonderful!

Cons: There is really nothing about this program that I don't like. It is easy to use and normally easy to figure out what to do to accomplish your task.

Pros: Ease of use, myhub, frequency of updates. Customer service for all employees is great. Help on setup is great. They are always looking to improve and have an up to date product.
Ability to connect all functions of business via API is also great.

Cons: Only cons do not involve Sitelink, it can be hard to undo improper install, which is caused by user not using the excellent customer and technical/remote service.

Overall: Easy, efficient way of managing storage facilities. Saves time and money.

Pros: It's easy to learn and there are different options to complete a tasks, with lots of shortcuts built in. Integrations have worked smoothly for us.

Cons: The auction/lien process could be fine-tuned. The letters don't seem to process the way they should. Would like to add ability to upload multiple images in the tenant account for liens from a tablet or phone. Also a map in the mobile version.

Overall: Sitelink is easy to install, use and customize. It handles so many of the admin tasks that are vital for operations and integrates seamlessly to other operational software, like our merchant services, directory listings and website. Their support team is very responsive and has helped with anything that comes up. I truly feel that I have a tech team supporting me all the time.

Pros: I like the speed in loading data. Transitioning from one store to the next is very easy. Editing ledgers is very simple.

Cons: I don't like that all the modules are not ready. I still have to log in to the web version for many things.

Pros: Easy to use and train others to use, excellent online training materials, superior customer support. Sleek and intuitive interface. Ease of adjusting tenant accounts.

Cons: Two things I would improve on. The site map feature is clunky and difficult to navigate. Additionally, there is really no good way to put potential customers on a waiting list and have the system notify you when a unit they want becomes available. The 'lead to lease' feature would be so much more useful if it had such an alert.

Overall: Ease of managing tenant accounts, detailed site use and analysis.

Pros: I love that it's ever evolving meaning it just keeps getting better and better. The team takes the suggestions and implements them in their updates. I love that Site Link is moving to a complete web edition.

Cons: I would like for it to communicate with the kiosks better. I would like to be able to use the same eSign rental agreement we use at the kiosk. I would also like the discounts and specials to work better with the kiosk.
I would like to see a eSign link available in all the email forms. We currently have to copy and paste as needed when using predefined messages.

Overall: Makes my job so much easier than our old software did. I'm able to help customers wherever I am not just in the office sitting at the desk.

Pros: Esign lease makes renting units convienant. Also, esign credit card and change of address forms and the ability to upload forms from the desktop to the tenant photo page we no longer need file folders. We are paperless mostly.

Cons: There isn't a way to reprint rent increase notices. We can reprint receipts and invoices. We should have a feature to reprint rent increase letters. These are the only forms we need to print copies of and put in the file folders for the tenants.

Pros: The best part is being able to to use anywhere! Out on site, or even on vacation in an emergency, I can access needed functions or information quickly.

Cons: When clicking on the charges from the payment screen, each time you go back to it, the font gets smaller and smaller. This often means that while speaking with a customer you must take the time to get out of their account and go back in just so you can add or remove charges or explain them.

Overall: Software allows for major flexibility and ease in controlling settings that are particular to my location. Knowing that I can log in anywhere online and make changes gives peace of mind.

Pros: I have been using SiteLink for a few years now and think it is so easy to use. Customer Support is always there when I need them. The training vides and webinars are a great way to expand my knowledge base of the software.

Cons: There are few minor things that could be improved on. One is the inability to reserve multiple units for one customer in a single transaction. I would like to see the property map be interactive even though I have other SiteLink tasks open. I would like to be able to flip back and forth without having to close the other tasks.

Pros: Training for this software made it so much easier to run, and I do not know something Customer Support is there to lend a helping hand. I can get a lot accomplished for my employer, his accountant and Realtor due to Sitelink's software. Thank You!

Cons: I would like to be able to create my own specialized reports at times without having to download several different reports and cut and paste into what I need for the company.

Pros: Basic functionality ease of use, customer support is always available. I think that overall, sitelink has some very good features and being new to self storage when I took this job, it was very easy to learn. I went through most of the training pretty quickly.

Cons: Instead of having videos to learn new feature, I wish that they would just put the steps in a written format. That would make it much easier to self help and learn things that you are not 100% sure of. Another feature that I would change would be that you cannot do many features just in one screen. If they could somehow make it that you can look up someone's info from the customer screen, and maybe even make a payment from there instead of having to switch out of the customer screen. It should not be required to have to select on 2 options to send email notices to have the correct form and header appear.
When reserving a unit, it would be much more helpful to show the facility map rather than just the unit numbers. I always like to get new customers as close to the facility entrance as possible.

Pros: The ability to see and edit the payments broken down by date, the multiple reports to monitor financial and employee activity is outstanding. Way better than Domico and Centershift.

Cons: The software can sometimes get buggy when reversing payments. Ledgers can get very convoluted after NSF reversals.

Overall: Ease of use makes it superior over the other POS software I've used over the last 15 years.

Pros: I like that it is an all in one software and integrates with other companies and software, as well as our website.

Cons: I would prefer that we wouldn't have to login to the Corporate control separately, and some parts have multiple screen steps (example - creating an invoice)I would prefer that it could be done all in one step under the client and not have to go into invoices and then manually create it. Overall it is a very good program.

Pros: The software allows the use to move in new customers quite easily. It also captures previous customers that move out and now have decided to return. Many systems would just delete due to lack of space. User friendly is why this software deserves 5 stars from me.

Cons: I think there are too many windows to tap on to get information. I would be faster if I'm able to see on the buttons on one screen go from there. Why can't reports and adjustment options be on one page where I can quickly choose from?

Cons: It adds an additional months rent when applying a concession. Takes multiple steps when applyng a credit.

Pros: As an Area Manager having access to all the reports, great for tracking leads . Easy to send invoices and to change ledger details for the customer for great customer service.

Cons: It sometimes can be very slow , not sure if it is internet related issues. Sometimes the site will crash and can be frustrating when taking payments or in the middle of the lease process.

Pros: being able to text customers has improved our delinquency greatly. I believe the software to have the most bells and whistles currently on the market. We were a Webselfstorage customer before then.

Cons: the texts that are sent and received are not in the system...only available through twilio. The software is very pricey compared to others and there is little to no break to use software at all stores. You would think the 2nd 3rd 4th license would be cheaper. The software can be confusing because you can process things multiple ways and some normal operations require MULTIPLE steps to complete.

Pros: Shortcut button! Saves so much time and a lot of headaches! No more need to exit out of different windows just to take a payment and try to remember where you were! I also enjoy the Google Maps report!

Cons: Do not like the discount interface and how it is relayed on the ledger. The filters for the reports could be better and more organized. Feels like they are all over the place.

Overall: I have learned, through different reports how to better market to customers and understand the various marketing sectors.

Pros: I like the layout of the software and its easiness. I also like its ability to be customized when necessary.

Cons: A lot of the automated aspects from previous software is not present here. We have to do a lot of calling ourselves.

Pros: User friendly. Online training. Cloud storage of tenant data. No data loss in the event of a computer hardware failure. Easy interface with digigate gate software.

Cons: Some reports are not easy to manipulate for specific data needed. Inability to accept payments if the internet is down. Should be able to accept payments move in etc.. and send data after the internet is back up.

Pros: This software has been adaptable enough to plug into our unique requirements as and when we build them. For accessing information and day-to-day use for users there simply has been no equal in the self storage software market.

Cons: Support structures and speed from South Africa is an issue. The move to a web based platform should resolve the speed issues.

Overall: Instant access to reports and customer interactions that we did not even think of. The beauty of joining SiteLink is the feature requests from the sheer volume of users. Once the feature is implemented/updated everybody wins. The security of the system and up time is unparalleled.

Pros: The ease of use. The program is very easyto learn and gives the user many options. The lead to lease offers many ways to track sales leads. The reports offer many ways to track and grow your business.

Pros: Very functional software that functions as CRM and POS. Web based so database is always backed up.
Constantly upgrading the functionality, and incorporating user feedback into the software.

Cons: Very steep learning curve. Can be overly complicated at times, and users need to be creative and adaptable to have software function the way your company does.
Can be difficult to explain workflow to new users. Very easy to make mistakes, but always fixable provided its caught before a Daily Close.

Overall: Solid, Dependable, Predictable software package that covers all aspects of a Self Storage business. Its as close as you can get to a perfect , scalable, "single software" solution to run a self storage business, regardless of how many physical locations you have.

Pros: It's very easy to maneuver from page to page. Even if I don't know how to do something I can easily click around for a minute and find out what to do.

Cons: I don't like how long it takes to update. Sometimes it takes awhile for me to log onto at the begining of the day.

Pros: I like the ease of use and the accessibility. I have the web edition and I like that I can access it from multiple computers and that it updates in real time. I feel like it does a great job in terms of automatic payments and making letters and invoices as simple as pushing a button. I also like that we can customize letters and CRM schedules. When I have needed reports that were different, SiteLink customer service worked with me to make it happen.

Cons: I don't like that live customer service has such limited hours. That's the main drawback for me. There were several issues that I had initially, but we've been using SiteLink for several years now and I feel like I have most issues resolved.

Pros: It is not a difficult program to learn and MOST of the setting are easy to customize. The e-sign console has been an fantastic addition.

Cons: It would be nice to 100% be able to customize the program, reports included. It seems the last few updates have caused more issues than the update seemed to fix. Sitelink needs to be more proactive than reactive with these things, by beta testing the updates to ensure all operations run smooth.

Pros: Ease of use- training new employees is a breeze, multiple functions - my ability to see everythinig aspect of a property is amazing, RATE MANAGEMENT- push rates and rate increases are very very simple!

Cons: Hard to process any payment if internet is down but it is cloud based software, the last few patch roll-outs have had more bugs then I would expect from Sitelink.

Pros: It is very user friendly and our new employees are able to catch on fairly quickly especially with Sitelinks training function which makes our training on the software a breeze. Leads are also very easy to track and this helps us convert more of them into actual rentals.

Cons: Speed. Because it is web based we are at times at the mercy of bad internet speeds. Updates are not user friendly. We would also like to know what are the updates or changes to the software with every update Sitelink runs so we have a better idea of what the updates are actually for. Also when using the search on corporate control I often have trouble finding some of the accounts when I use the search queue. It pulls a ton of old moved out accounts and i have to use more information to narrow my search and pull current primary accounts. It also often takes way too long to launch Sitelink from corporate control in order to access a customer account in more detail.

Overall: Helps me manage my facility with ease.

We communicate SiteLink Web Edition software updates in bulletins within the software and via email starting a week prior to an update. Pros: This is a good property management program. It tracks pretty much any information that I need to provide to the owner in order to keep him up to date on his property and how he stands financially. Most day to day functions I find to be efficient and simple to master.

Cons: The only con that comes to mind is that reversing payments etc can be cumbersome but manageable after some practice.

Overall: I am easily able to track, manage and report the daily activities of our property.

Pros: This is the first software of this kind i've used, but overall how most things work sems to makes sense

Cons: There are a few things that need to be changed to make things easier. Mainly in Ledger settings under Invoice there should be a box for Print and Email, just like Document Delivery. If I send an invoice through email, but later on try to send him a late fee, it won't print one, only email, i have to go in the system run around to send a printed letter

Overall: first software of this kind i've used. looks good on a resume'

Pros: The task list that appears each day. It reminds me of what items need my attention on any given day..such as pre lien notices, lien notices, reverse overlocks, overlocks, etc

Cons: I'm not a fan of the ACH check method that the software offers. I've only used this feature once, and cannot remember the specifics of what transpired, but have not attempted to use this feature any longer

Overall: All of my daily tasks are listed right in front of me each day when I log in...when our busy season hits, it's sometimes impossible to keep up with the day to day tasks that need attention.

Thank you! As you add more tenants on ACH, aka direct debit or bank draft, you will reduce your fees versus credit card payment processing. In order to set up ACH, you input a number off the bottom of a tenant's check. That is a less routine activity than swiping a credit card. Give us a call if you would ever like to go through ACH together. It's worth it for many of our owners.

Pros: The Sitelink support team is great. I like having the separate corporate control center. The interface is clear and not to cluttered. The to do list helps with training new employees.

Cons: The email compatibility issue with Outlook. The time program takes to load is difficult for locations that can not get good high speed internet due to unavailability. The esign contract is not very intuitive at spotting the "required" signatures and can be difficult to see a missed line even for long term users.

Thank you, many of our clients set up their own SMTP server to avoid Outlook. It is a known issue that after running a Windows update, Outlook settings reset themselves to default. This causes an interruption in outbound emails from SiteLink until Outlook's settings are tweaked again. Most facilities are moving on to SMTP (Gmail, Yahoo, etc) as an easier more reliable means of emailing. Slow Internet speeds can hamper any cloud-based program. SiteLink's minimum requirements are near the lowest speeds offered via DSL. Please have your managers call our customer support to look into any slowness issues to see if we can help. SiteLink eSign┬┐ includes a "Next" button that brings the next "Required" field to the top of the page and highlights it in red. Sometimes how a lease/form is formatted can make completion more difficult. Give us a call and one of our customer support representatives can take a look and suggest formatting changes to make the process easier for your customers.

Cons: Some things in the software are not that easy to correct, which makes dome things difficult. I kind of wish there was an undo button.

Pros: I like how easily navigable it is. This software helps me process payments securely and quickly when people come into the office.

Cons: I least like the fact that if I currently have one page open, lets say a new lease, I am unable to open a secondary screen for payment processing. When people come into the office to pay they have to wait until I have completely finished with the new lease before I am able to process their payment. Just time consuming I suppose.

Pros: My favorite thing about Sitelink software is how easy it is to learn. Within the first day of training, I was comfortable using it. I have also trained other employees and they have had the same success.

Cons: Every once and awhile you might come across a feature that could use some tweaking like being able to transfer a security deposit to rent, but in the grand scheme of things this is minor.

Overall: It is quick and easy to use and a great software option for this field of business.

Pros: Sending an email is easy. Reprinting and emailing invoices is easy. Reformatting letters and notices was easy as well. Not too much more to like though.

Cons: Difficult to link and unlink units (have to use embedded controls).
Discounts like pre pay 6 months get 1/2 month free, really charge you 7 months. It's not what is says.
Invoices are confusing to tenant especially when you are prorating in the second month. It wants that rent on the first regardless of when it is due.
Transfer receipts are equally and confusing to customers.
Owner is not able to get the reports he wants in the form he wants. (someone is still working on that)

Pros: I like the ease of use that the software offers. The learning curve is very small. The online training videos are great, support is excellent when they are able to help with your issue. Everything is in a place that seems to make sense. The flow from step-to-step is there. Fast process to rent, move-out, take payments, etc.

Cons: My biggest dislike about SiteLink web edition is the fact that if you run multiple locations as I do, then you have to log off of one location and then login to the other location for everything you need to do. You cannot have multiple locations open on one computer at the same time. There is also a huge issue with using DoorKing software and gate controllers with SiteLink when you are running multiple facilities. The online version of SiteLink, MyHub is getting better, but is FAR behind the competition in terms of functionality. It lacks so many features that are absolutely imperative to run daily operations that it forces you to use the Web Edition and spend wasted time switching from one location to the other, even when they are all under the same corporate code. If MyHub had the functionality of Web Edition I would be a SiteLink user for life, but it doesn't and as far as I can see, updates are slow going with no information given to users on what is coming, when it is coming, or any real insights. The repeated answer I have been given is "we are working on that", or "it is a known issue", yet no details on a fix. This leaves me constantly frustrated and currently looking for a better PMS that will do what I need, is cloud based, and will work with my Kiosk, website for online rentals and gate controllers. If I find something that fits those needs, I will leave SiteLink without second guessing my choice. I feel like I have wasted valuable time waiting for updates.

Overall: The only benefit I can say that I have gotten is that it is easy to use for what it is. The time wasted logging in and out of different locations to run daily operations remotely and the lack of a fully functional cloud based solution has made any benefit to using this software seem non existent.

Pros: Easy to use and maneuver. It's also easy to train new employees with Sitelink. The upgrade are always helpful and when needed, tech support is always helpful.

Did you know that the shortcut button is great option for "multi-tasking"? Let's say for example you'd like to process a move-in on the phone, and another tenant is waiting to make a payment, you can use the "Shortcut" button to quickly go to the payments screen, process the payment, and then return to the move-in screen. Several commonly used screens have a shortcut available. You may also want to check out SiteLink myHub, the browser-based tablet version of SiteLink ┬┐ it's free and part of SiteLink Web Edition. The 2 platforms share the same database so your data is always up-to-date even if you use both. Simply log into myHub.SiteLink.com using the same Web Edition credentials to get started, I think you'll like it!

Pros: The software is regularly offering updates to keep up with the ever-changing demands of the self-storage industry. Their electronic signature feature has been incredibly helpful with generating move-ins by expanding our reach to customers that cannot physically come to our office. Their mobile friendly application has been a time saver and an on-the-go problem solver. As an administrator using the software I have the instant ability to customize the features as well as restrict/approve access to the software by others. From a users perspective, the many processes can be a little tricky to master at first but once they've been memorized the work-flow is very simple and easily executed.

Cons: The abundance of processes can be slightly overwhelming to new users. Also, the ease of alternating between screens/processes can create confusion for the user and allow for accidental incorrect implementations.

Overall: Remote access to thousands of tenant accounts.

Pros: Reporting is simple and easy to understand. As the most used software in the industry, I come across SiteLink reports often when reviewing reports for prospective property purchases and always find information well presented.

Cons: The user interface is extremely dated and in need of a refresh. It is not intuitive which makes teaching its use to new staff difficult.

Pros: The software is nice because it is customized to our specific industry. Portable storage is not like traditional storage and our software needs to be set-up differently. SiteLink works well for what we need.

Cons: It is extremely difficult to use! It is difficult to set-up and customize as well. Everything about it is just difficult and not user friendly. We have to use SiteLink since it is partnered with our franchise. The cost per month is pretty hefty compared to what you get as well. If you are looking for a software for your storage facility, your hands are pretty tied. WebSelfStorage is a mess (currently) and SiteLink is just as difficult. If you had to choose your poison, there's a lot more potential with WebSelfStorage and you'd be better off going with them.

Overall: It works well with portable storage needs.

Comments: For the money, Sitelink's standalone software was perfect for bringing a 30 year old Self Storage business (having been run on Quickbooks for some years) into the twenty first century. So far, we are delighted with the package and especially their support!

Pros: Easy to use, and OUTSTANDING customer support, and especially the price makes it very appealing.

Pros: Ease of use, very user friendly, great at managing your site for you. At a glance you know who is paid and who owes you and how much.

Cons: Some functions are not reversible. If you make an error in a payment and then do close of business for the day function, you can not undo the error, I wish there was a little more a grace time to make ledger adjustments.

Overall: Increased income, fast customer service, great reporting

Thank you for your comment! You can un-do a Daily Close to make adjustments if necessary. We offer a number of tools to check all payments, by type and detail, before you close. We limit changes AFTER a Daily Close to ensure reporting accuracy. When clients tell us why they want to change payments or charges after a Close, we often find better ways to treat root causes but can always reverse the Close, of course. Pros: I "still" use the non-web based version. I like how easy the map is to configure and move units. Reports are awesome. I also use Firstdata with Sitelink, very easy to take payments and setup credit cards for autopay. As always, tech support is there to quickly handle any problems I have had with user/operator issues.

Cons: Would like to see some extra features on the map, I have 15+ acres of storage scattered every direction and it would be nice to have the ability to add roads and/or other buildings.

Overall: I don't need to rely on my brain to remember when rents are due or when to invoice, process credit cards or overlock units.

Pros: They have excellent customer service. There are no fees for move ins. The reports are very comprehensive.

Cons: There are really only two cons that I can think of. There are different notes for each section in the software, i.e. payments, late tenants etc. It would be helpful if we could mark important notes and have them visible on every screen for that tenant. Also, there is no way to mark a tenant as active military.

With SiteLink there are no added fees, period - you pay one monthly subscription charge and all software functionality, live phone support, updates, etc. are included. The trick to software is good reporting - giving you the analysis and info you need, when you need it. Even though you may not need some reports often, you have to have them when you do and SiteLink has you covered. Thank you for your feedback regarding notes and military service. Notes are available on all screens, just not as a popup. The tenant note on payment screen, however, doesn't show on collections and we are working on adding that functionality in a future release. And, there is a way to mark a tenant as active military using the Marketing screen during Move-in (call customer support and they can walk you through it) this will show up on the 'task and letters to process' letters but not on collection call screen. Again, another area we plan to improve. Please keep calling our support staff with any and all questions and submit feature requests through them. They will generate a case to send to the development team for consideration. That's how many of out most popular features originate - via feedback from the industry's largest customer base.
