ProsIt is easy to learn and easy to use. The best part is the people that we work with at Continental - great service!
ConsThe GL mapping could be more intuitive. For example, the gl code could be linked to the merchandise type as opposed to a specific line.

“The reviews say it all, read for yourself ”

OverallThe complaints have one thing in common; none of these funeral directors pay a service agreement. They want "FREE" help. What about families that do not pay? Do they not pay their electric bill and still get service? The company began in 1985, many years before the so called beginning in "2003". Any intelligent individual can read through this quickly. Do these few, of many thousands have trouble paying all of their bills? How many "FREE" funerals do they preform each month? How are they known among their peers when their backs are turned? If these funeral directors apply the same reasoning to a family they apply to Continental, families will spend less on funerals, choose cremation, or there would not be a service at all.. Continental Computer is the oldest, largest and most successful provider in the industry. One of Software Magazines Top 500 Companies in the world for 15 years, with thousands and thousands of users, and yet only receive complaints from customers who expect help but will not pay for the help. Putting the complaints from a few in perspective and evaluating their own words, strongly suggests Continental is a very solid, well-run company, who, unlike some, pays their bills.

“Customer reps. are your Biggest Assets!!!”

ProsEverything needed to run a funeral home from beginning to end is there. If not there , as new things come up everyday, the team creates what is needed.

“Discouraged.....”

OverallHave been with this company since 2003 when they started and paid the expensive fee for a small funeral home, and have kept up our MAINTENANCE fees and extra computer fees including cost of updating each update. NOW it is force to update again to the latest at double the price of the original. The tech support cannot figure out how to install on the new computer which is now a few years old. Am frustrated and tired of all the charges!!!! Love using it and having all in one place, but cannot continue to be dollared out constantly.

“Done with Continental”

OverallI'm giving single stars only because some rating is required, otherwise I'd rate them as zero. We're a single user 60-call firm that's used Time-A-Way and Director's Assistant for nearly 20 years. Continental's model of extorting maintenance fees times the number of years since any necessary updates is outdated. We're updating our office network and Continental refuses to enable us to switch our software and FILES to the new machines without a mid 4 figure payoff. Later, Continental!

“WOULD NOT USE!!!”

OverallIf you don't pay the Maintenance Fee, or Upgrade, they will not help you load what you already bought. There is no flexibility with them.......if you don't use all of your license and get the software loaded before you need to pay to continue the Maintenance Agreement, tough.
