Used the software for: ### "Our doggy daycare would not be the same without it!" December 7, 2016 5.0 We have been using PetExec for a few years now. So I will list the pros and cons that our company has found so far. Just a little background we are a cage free doggy daycare, boarding, and grooming facility. The pros: 1) easy to use, all of the caterogories are pretty self explanatory 2) it keeps track of the inflow and outflow of cash. 3) reminds our clients when their vaccinations are coming up and are expired 4) you are able to send out e-mail blasts through PetExec 5) any notes for the dogs goes to the checkout cart. Extremely useful helps us confirm their purchase. The cons 1) the interface isn't user friendly towards desktop users, geared more towards tablets. 2) the dashboard and log of current daycare and boarders used to be together now they are separated so any notes for the day aren't going to be seen unless you specifically click dashboard. 3) we are not a kennel but a cage free facility I state this because we are unable to disable the kennel feature and just add our own thing like rooms/suites. If they fix anything I hope they fix this. Overall we enjoy PetExec and havent found a need to shop elsewhere. Review Source HT Harry T. Easy to navigate on the desktop, simple layout makes directing customers easy as well. Works OK on mobile devices, but slightly harder to type and find all thw hyperlinks (doesn't switch to "mobile friendly" layout). Would definitely use an app if made!!! Great service!!! When searching for dogs in the daycare I find it very accessible and simple to use. One thing I wish that was easier to find is a birthday. It only shows you birthdays for the day and not week month etc. Pros The simplicity and easy organization of stuff. Customer service is far and away the best we've experienced. The software functions well and the client login is a great way to minimize phone calls for daycare reservations. Pros Well thought out and covers all the bases in terms of having a multi-functioning pet care business. Could be more user friendly, can take some time to learn the system. But customer service is great at helping when it is needed. Pros The variety of options, and level of detail information that can be collected. Cons The inability to simplify it to fit a basic business that does not need the detail offered. Review Source TP Trinity P. Used the software for: ### "Pet Exec Review" December 7, 2016 3.0 I personally do not think Pet Exec is the easiest system to work with. Whenever my boss is trying to show me how to do something, it is very confusing and she gets confused herself. She has to back track half the time and is constantly trying to figure out how all the employees can use it the same way. Adding in notes, for example, has more than one way to do it, but when we want to see a note for a pet that we just added, it doesn't show up anywhere noticeable. We have to search for the pet and click on their account, and then scroll all the way down, when we just want to see it near the pet's name when it is signed in on the homepage. There is several different ways to do many different things, but it is also incredibly limiting when trying to do certain things too. Such as, printing out a score card will not work unless you do three or four specific things while the customers are waiting to be helped. I feel as if the things that should be simple, are not, and when we need to get to something fast, it takes us several clicks in the route to get there. Review Source LB L B. It's perfectly laid out and catered to fit your needs. Not only is it efficient to use but the overall look is very professional. Pros I like how detailed you can get with the owner and Pet. Other software only asks for the generic questions. But with PetExec, we can record all types of notes for our customers. Cons The only thing I dislike is that there is no continuous feature to take you back to modify the owner as well as the name of the pet not being shown however far you scroll down. Most of our owners have numerous dogs so it would be helpful to have a ghost bar with the selected dog showing at all times. Review Source TH Tiffany H. I was so impressed by the prompt responses from the PetExec team in helping me set up the program and responding to each and every question I had (I asked several). There was no waiting around not knowing what to do because they were there to hold my hand the entire way. Since I'm solely a dog daycare, I was able to declutter the dashboard easily in customizing it for specifically daycare services which is really nice. I just wish the panel on the side could delete all the extra's such as grooming & overnight boarding for my own eyes so that I didn't have to see all the wording/drop down's since it is completely irrelevant to my own business (super organized for those that do have all those services, though!). But that is super minor in the grand scheme of the whole system. The program literally has every aspect for your pet business covered with making it user-friendly for your clients, employees & the Owner. The integrated First Class Merchant Services is top notch & makes adding the payment processor absolutely seamless. Paula & her whole team are absolutely phenomenal & instantly feel like family. Used the software for: ### "At the time of enrollment is was one of very few choices for MAC" December 8, 2016 2.0 The product has always had a 'corner beauty parlor' aspect to it. It isn't and never has been a serious business tool. The reservations aspect is the only reason I keep it. I don't recommend it the developers have never run a kennel. If you are serious about your business and serious about building your effort into generational wealth keep looking. It is possible that your setup might not reflect all the vast changes we've made over the years. PetExec does have a lot of features and the trick is to setting it up correctly. Once all the automation is in place, the system is much easier to use. I invite you to let us peek at your setup which is most likely the cause of your frustration.
