Office Manager Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Basic and easy to use " May 15, 2018 3.0 Pros User friendly, the technical support team is good overall. Adding new items is really easy and the accounting part of Avimark works really well. Cons In order to update or do a global apply someone has to be present in order to click on the prompts. Both can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 2-3 hours and all computers must be logged out which requires this to be done after hours. Very inconvenient feature. Tech support must also be contacted in order for any type of global update. Wish it was easier to update on the backend by admins instead of having to call everytime. Pros Avimark is easy to learn from a functionality stand point. I like the quick features and ability to use the "F" keys to get somewhere faster. It is adaptable to creating new templates for group codes as well. Cons I would improve upon what can be written in physical exam findings as a template so that it might auto-populate. We use Idexx lab services and they mesh well together. It is very easy for staff to learn and navigate. Cons What Avimark leaves behind on the table is customization to a clinic's own needs. It is more cookie cutter that doesn't work for all clinics. Two areas are code restrictions for admins and inventory. Very easy to use and to train. Customer service is always available and are very helpful. Cons No Cons for day to day functions. Due to the size of our clinic, updating takes about 2- 2.5 hours. Easy to train new employees as well. Pros Avimark software is very user friendly. We tried a different software system and within two months went back to Avimark. It is very forgiving as well. Mistakes can be fixed quickly and you can also utilize the view history to see which employees have changed items. Cons I have no complaints about this software. But despite AVImark's power--and it IS a powerful program--I'm constantly encountering things it CAN'T do. Cons AVImark's limitations. I, personally, have never felt the need to change. Pros It allows several other outside functions to be integrated into its software, such as x-rays and physical card terminals. Also, I enjoy how easy it is to master the basic functions of this software. The customer service is very reliable and convenient! Cons The inventory tabs and catalog could use an update. The AVImark support team is great. They answer the phone with real people and respond quickly. Pros It is easy to learn and use. You only need one Windows server and standard Windows 10 PC's as the client. Quick and easy to setup the client on a new PC. It has an interface for IDEXX equipment. There is room for improvement, but on the whole, it's an impressive and useful bit of software. Pros Avimark is a great tool for keeping everything together in our hospital, and the learning curve isn't too bad when it comes to training new users on how to do a lot of the basic things. Pros The payment integration is a nice function, though being linked with worldpay is a definite liability. Their fees are ridiculously high. We had to go with a side by side system and are saving a ton in fees with the new company. Shame this isn't reviewed and changed more often. Not simple to explain problems to phone support to achieve desired informational response. And 2 phone calls might deliver to completely different responses.
