I am very comfortable with it to run my practice. It is used in all aspects of my practice. Invoicing and charts can even be sent to the client by email. Pros I like that each patient record can include the patient's photo. I also like that the medical history includes diagnoses, treatments, inventory items, and problems. It is the program that I am most comfortable using at our practice. The tech support is great. Pros Its easy to use for everyday clinic management. How several services are integrated with the software and helps to keep results organized. Cons Trying to figure out certain features can be a complicated process. May 28, 2020 5.0 AVImark allows us to keep accurate records for our clients and patients and makes scheduling appointments a breeze. Pros Avimark was already in place when I joined the team 4 years ago. I had never used it before and I was amazed at how user friendly it was. With no formal training I was easily using most functions. Cons There are a few irritating bugs that pop up now and then but the support staff is excellent and efficiently walks you through them. Each software has its pros and cons, Avimark's cons are quite small compared to the overall functionality of the program. Pros The software is very user friendly and easy to learn. Charting and invoicing is very simple and it is very convenient that you can word search the medical history for a particular service or medication. The medical history is easy to review as well. Cons The white board function was rather cumbersome to use and I do wish that it had more options to fully customize everything to fit your specific needs. Support was helpful once the clinic I was working at got to a certain size. Very helpful to segment clients to market to in a more detailed way. Cons Sometimes will have hiccups and run very slow. Pros I love the how easy the program is to use. The paperless features make us much more efficient. Cons Over the years we have more and more technical troubles. Printers randomly disconnect, the get external exception errors, there just seems to be more and more errors that tech support isn't able to fix. Pros Avimark is a pretty good software if you are looking for something simple to help you manage your practice. It comes with some simple Soaps and its a pretty good software for a 1-2 DVM practice. This was one of the main products we looked into when we were looking to upgrade our antiquated software a few years back. Cons Didn't offered all the features we were looking for and we were aiming for something with a bit more support specially something that would also support the hardware so we didn't had to go and deal with multiple vendors. I wish the software didn't look as dated as it looks. Upon review, I found that Avimark was overcharging me when they did this "correction". I had to call 3 times before my refund was issued for a billing error. Everyone was kind, but I don't think it's necessary for me to call that many times for a correction. Pros Similar to Microsoft so easy to teach new people. Pros I most value the support available when I have a difficulty using the software. Cons I feel some of the basic steps required to process client invoices are a bit duplicitous and unecessary, however, I am in a mature age group and was used to software that was popular 20-30 years ago. It has great search capability. We have made a lot of estimates. So if a client calls for a price, it is easily accessible. Pros Avimark is very user friendly. I love "Hot Keys" (the F# keys). It is so much easier to use those than to have to move the mouse or scroll to find the info you are looking for. Cons All software has those little "quirks" Avimark does too. But, I can live with it. Pros Ability to do inventory control, ease of search function Cons The area code of the phone numbers disappear after entering a zipcode. It's a small error, but one that frequently causes our clinic to have incomplete phone numbers for clients. If it was not already implemented into my last two practices, I would have recommended different software. Pros There isn't a whole lot that I like about this software. Cons It has limited functionality. You are forced to pay for annual support because information searches require coding. It is glitchy and most solutions require rebuilding indexes that are time consuming and screw up other parts of the program.
