### "Great Software, won't ever switch!"

We converted to paperless and realized how awesome Avimark was to helping us! Avimark is so vast, I wish there were easier, free, training modules on it, or e-mails sent out featuring the most used attributes. Just a quick video or two twice a month.

Pros

So many features! Mostly predictable. Great customer service support.

Cons

So many features it's difficult to find some things. Wish we had graphing capabilities.

I appreciate their online and phone support. I have had several questions answered in a timely manner and while it may not be easy to sometimes make the changes you want to, they definitely will help.

Pros

I like that we can input our bloodwork results easily, medical conditions for paperless records and multiple options for different types of needs.

Cons

Issues with it not tracking inventory correctly without re-indexing on a regular basis.

Good overall.

Pros

Keeps track of inventory well for the most part, manages large amounts of client/patient info with no problem.

Cons

Wish there was a way to automatically update expiration dates on new bottles of drugs instead of having to manually do it. And we purchased signature pads years ago that never worked, and no one at AVImark could figure it out. And they wouldn't take them back.

Pros

It's the only one I have used in this industry. It tries to address the needs of clinics and is very flexible within its framework. Lots of documentation available for help.

Cons

Lack of integrations with multiple services. Not keeping up with the times. Customer service is either extremely helpful or extremely unhelpful. Lack of historical notes in a space separate from medical history.

AVImark used to be a good company, but now that they have been fully sold to Henry Schein (who also owns ImproMed) the Customer Service has gone downhill. If there is an issue, they stop responding to calls and emails. They keep adding unrelated vendors to their program, they continue to keep adding extra fees, until the program has become a hodgepodge of broken software haphazardly "glued" together. The basic part of the software works well enough but advanced features are rough and unfinished. In fact that would be my number one issue, that problems within the program are not corrected. Every upgrade causes parts of the program that was working fine to crash. Sometimes it can take months to fix and sometimes it never gets fixed at all. Their product crashing has resulted in some practices being hit with a major loss of income. Their forums are littered with complaints with no one from the company listening. I expect that in a few short years this company will close or "morph" into some offshoot of impromed/AVImark with all of their problems and none of the benefits. I have used this program for 18 years now. It was a DOS program and it still feels DOS based at times. It is not a true windows program. The software is in desperate need of being updated.

Thank you for alerting us to your concerns. We make it a point to listen to our customers, and we regularly review their concerns with the software. Once we resolve these issues, we release fixes that typically solve the problem. We also know updating software is a general concern, so we put a large focus on improving our update process, and as of today, we've released 11 program upgrades without incident. We are also working on updating the look and feel of the AVImark software program. A newer, more user-friendly version of AVImark will be available in 2016.

I loved dealing with the company when the original developer owned it. It was purchased by a larger company and service has gone down and price has gone up.

Pros

It is nice to have the credit card integrated with the software.

Cons

The inventory is a pain to use. I have never like it.

It is obviously a very old technology and more detailed things like reporting, searching for clients, etc is very disjointed and feels pieced in. It needs a major modern overhaul. You need to pay for their support to get anything major done.

### "Does the job but isn't pretty"

It is a product that just has not been updated in a long, long time.

Pros

It does exactly what it says it will do. It keeps medical records. You can attach things like labwork results or images or PDFs to those medical records. You can establish reminders for certain medical records that you'd like to repeat at a certain date. You can create a client and schedule appointments. It does all of the basics that you will need.

Cons

It looks like a program from the early 2000s. It's a server-based product so there is no cloud storage of medical records. The reminder system can be so complicated that they have special technical support representatives devoted to it. Using it to maintain a drug log is a pain and not functional in some aspects. You can not access your system without being at a computer connected to the server. In order to get other programs to work with AVImark they will make you install a module that may or may not cost you a monthly fee to maintain.

Excellent service when I chat or call customer service

Pros

Appointment calendar but there's some things I would change. Like, for example, not having the option to permanently delete and appointment - it's been done by mistake here and no way around it.

Cons

Cannot have a second calendar for companies with different schedules (Example: Company 1 should be able to have their own calendar)

Avimark allowed us to move from 100% paper records to a paper-lite process. Great product, except for update releases.

Pros

Avimark provided excellent reporting capabilities allowing for user designed queries. Not dependant on Internet for service.

Cons

Software releases would often cause catastrophic failures. Software releases were required to maintain tech support. While we used Avimark, feature releases focused on 3rd party integrations rather than software enhancements/bug fixes. MS Windows dependent.

Pros

It's great for tracking appointments, billing and invoicing. storing prescription history and printing client records.

Cons

It's a bit expensive, but overall it's the best solution for our needs. Our admin and doctors can all navigate with ease.

Pros

The scheduling aspect is user friendly. Adding vaccination history is able to be done easily and quickly. Easy to add new clients or patients.

Cons

Inventory - receiving and changing inventory quantities could be made easier and quicker to do. You should be able to print labels from the appointment calendar screen and not have to go back to patients chart each time.

It is extremely user friendly. I love that there are shortcuts to different screens using the F keys. When we have issues, the support staff is very informative and quick to resolve the problem.

Cons

Sometimes it freezes during busy times which is frustrating.

### "Customer Service is Dead"

The customer support people are clueless, they don't listen to what you say, they just wait for you to finish so they can read from their Q card. Unfortunately they are usually reading from the wrong one. The more you call back, the more different the answer to the same question becomes. Save yourself the trouble and pass on Avimark. 1500.00 is too much to pay for BS answers from people who couldn't care less.

Pros

The program is user friendly. That is really about all I can say about it. Just hope you don't have any problems and don't have to call customer service.

Cons

They have changed things so you can't do simple updates yourself. This includes even adding reminders. You have to call them and have them do it which is impossible unless you close for the updates because there is no one to do it on their end after hours. I suspect it is so they can continue to charge you 1500.00 for support. The problem with the support is that if you ask the same question to 10 different people you get 10 different answers.

I have always received great customer service from AVImark and I really like the online chat since I can speak to a professional while doing other work.

Pros

AVImark is easy to use and students catch on to how it works very quickly.

Cons

I wish that this software was cloud based so students could use the platform at home.
