A lot of veterinary practices have it, so new team members have experience with it too. Cons The extra features are difficult to maneuver and the manual is little help at all. Pros It is easy to use and saves steps. I don't even know some of the features. Each time I find a new feature I wonder how I ever functioned without it. September 12, 2019 4.0 AVImark came with the clinic that I work at, and now co-own. It works well for our paperless practice and I have had no reason to look elsewhere for other options. Pros AVImark seems very user friendly. I have never used another veterinary software so cannot compare it fairly. Cons Occasional glitches with printing estimates, entering records. Practice Manager Veterinary Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Great Product" November 17, 2020 4.0 Pros Customer service is awesome! I don't hesitate to call when something is wrong. Cons Wish it was easier to suggest changes. There are some things that need improvement but getting that done can be hopeless. We are trying to auto fill Rx into a Homecare sheet. You cannot highlight multiple Rx's and have them autofill. It will just put the first option down multiple times. Lots of Avimark error boxes pop up but CS says its not Avimark related. When we purchased the program it was a huge step in our process to move to a paperless clinic. Cons It is very dated and have multiple problems with program updates that are available. Frustrations with technical support and getting ahold of people who are knowledgeable about the program and what is possible. " October 4, 2017 4.0 Pros The ease of sending messages to staff members. It is also simple to email records and receipts. I like that it is easy to enter various forms of payment to a client's account. Cons It often lags and is very slow. I also hate that when you leave the schedule to look at something else, it does not take you back to the date you were looking at, it bounces back to today's date. It is very frustrating. We are also having difficulty deciding how doctors can let us know if a client has refills on medication. Customer service is always very prompt and efficient. Pros Using one software product that handles all our business needs made learning this new job so easy!! Such a variety of tools all in one package!! Cons I'm not sure if there is a way to see or track when appointments are cancelled or rescheduled and by whom. Ex. original appt was 06-16 at 10:00 rescheduled on 06-15 at 5 pm for new date/time 06-18 at 8 am by SR (or whoever made the changes) Review Source CR Caitlyn R. Cons However, AVImark is incredibly difficult for a new employee to learn. It is often times not very intuitive. Cons Customer support-lab support division--AWFUL. Waited on phone for several minutes for assistance (which I don't mind at all-I understand busy!) Then a man comes on and asks to take my phone number for a call back from staff when they are free. 5 DAYS LATER-I GET A CALL BACK!!!! 5 DAYS.......Second time this has happened--so not an exception! It is one of the classic veterinary CRM programs, and it's easy to see why. The scheduling, client information, hospital & boarding options, whiteboard and billing are some of the main benefits. Cons There is no cloud based option here, which essentially limits the practice to in house use only. You can sync offline, but it is more of a pain than it's worth, in my opinion. HS offers eVetPractice which is very similar to AVImark but is a cloud based software. If you're looking for an online option, that is a good go to. Customer service can also be difficult. If we have an issue they have always been able to fix it or walk me through it right away. Pros It is very easy to use. There are many components but its easy to learn.
