Like everything else, it is an adjustment, but the transition was much smoother and more training was offered prior to going live.

Pros

Accounts Receivable is more accurate, techs have an easier time making sure clients are invoiced properly.

Cons

not being able to instantly see where attachments are

I have alot of pros. The intergrations with the lab (bloodwork). Works well with downloading into clients medical history. The medical condition is great for chartless clinics and putting in glossary notes which you can customize. Sending emails or text messages to clients through the system. Rapport is the best, love the confirmation of appointments that go straight to the appointment book. All the reports you get so you know the client has received. We are now doing the reminders and I do not have to worry about a client not getting notifications. You get a report on who they sent too. Q & A is by far my favoraite. I have put our protocols in it so the staff can look up things that maybe they forgot. I have so much information in it that my favoriate saying to the staff is "Look in Q & A" and it is there. If not it will there. There is so much in the software that I can't touch on everything but you learn something new every day. Avimark or Rapport Customer Service has alwasy been great when I have called. They really help you solve your problem. The remote in is the best ever. That is usually the first thing I ask with I call, "will you remote in". The only con is a pro too, that there is alot this software can do and learning it at the beginning can be overwhelming, but leaning what all is available will be awesome.

Pros

The best part of the software is the tech support, they're always there to help when I need them.

Cons

The worst part about the software is the absolute NEED of the tech support team (so you better pay for the support package) because so many things are confusing and hard to set up or fix without their help.

AVImark is clearly dated, an app written decades ago and continually patched. Despite its shortcomings, though, it's a powerful line-of-business solution for veterinarians, with excellent customer service and support.

Pros

I am the system administrator for a few veterinary clinics who use AVImark. From what I see, it's fairly easy to use and gets the job done.

Cons

The software was clearly designed in the early 1990's, and it shows. User passwords are not stored securely, the database uses flat files that can be prone to corruption, and using it from a remote location results in some functionality such as scanning being unreliable. Don't even think about using it on a high-DPI device.

They have had good service anytime I've needed to call in and get help with something, which is the most important factor for myself.

Pros

As someone who isn't a daily user but IT service provider, this program seems pretty stable and runs pretty well.

Cons

I'm not a huge fan of the UI, but that's a minor issue I think.

It's very user friendly. There are many more features that we still haven't used, but they are available and that's great!

Cons

There are a few features that I wish were better, such as the SOAP and the procedure for having to use the SOAP in order to get a weight history.

Some features are very handy and useful.

Cons

Design could be more "customize able" to each clinic. Ex: Client information shown across full screen instead of half. It would also be nice to add sections to the client information. Different or larger font for easier viewing

Pros

Love how user friendly this software is! Love that it is compatible with importing lab work from in house machines. Scheduling is very easy to read and work with. Patient files are organized and easy to read. Pricing is comparable to others in the market.

Cons

I do not have anything I didn’t like about AVImark. If I HAD to pick something, it may be that there isn’t an employee scheduling option. Would have been helpful to keep track of employee schedules all on one software.

Overall this software is better than some others I have worked with. If the reporting was updated.

Pros

Avimark is fairly comprehensive in its ability to provide the needed platform for practice management.

Cons

It’s is lacking some pretty important reporting features. A couple of examples would be inventory and appointment schedule. It also takes a very long time for the reports to populate.

I know the software's capabilities and can easily help practices become more efficient.

Pros

The system has decent features. Easy to transfer clinics to paperlite record keeping. The followups are great for digital messages.

Cons

There are not enough reporting options for practice benchmarking and the inventory could be a bit more powerful.

I own 5 hospital and i am using avimark since 2007. Now I am thinking about setting up a call center for all hospital. It's getting very hard to bring all hospital avimark on one screen. Also as technology changing they are not willing to go cloud base. I don't know how they can compete with cloud base software. It's hard to maintain server when other options are there . Thinking about other software which help to set up call center and cloude base storage.

Dr. Sandhu: Thank you for being an AVImark customer since 2007! Have you tried AVImark's site feature? It will allow you to share AVImark across multiple locations hosted by one central server. All client and patient files, reporting, treatments, inventory, and appointments can either be separated by each location or managed collectively. For example, if you incorporate a call center, the operators will be able to see a consolidated view of all appointment calendars or a separate view of each individual calendar. We will give you a call to help determine if AVImark's site feature will help you gain the central access you are looking for.

I was one of the first users in the early 1990s with a 5.25" floppy disk. It was the only product that offered all the features without extra costs. It was not the easiest to learn but I had been very, very happy with it until around the time Henry Schein bought them. I could not afford the yearly tech support costs nor justify getting new hardware to use the free updates. I have been using the save Avimark version for the last 8 years. When I did use tech support (in the past) it was always very prompt and the staff well trained. I am paperless for 20 years, take lots of photos and have 1 server and 10 terminals. they are all getting old and updating to online appointments looks interesting. I hope it is bug free and internet stable. Will consider updating to this soon. Comments on it would be helpful - about the Avimark's Rapport website and its integration with Avimark. My only other comment is to the clinic that says everything was crashing all the time. I had this once many, many years ago- was a graphics card issue in all the new terminals we got.

I do appreciate all the different features the software offers. I really like how you can email medical records straight from the patients medical chart.

Cons

I really dislike how slow the software is. It makes things hectic and stressful. It does not make Avimark very pleasurable to use.

Pros

I like how quickly I can navigate between menus and patient screens with the tabs (F2, F3, F4, F5, F6, F8, F10...I'm sure that there are other buttons I can use to jump to the appropriate task or patient). That makes my life very easy when putting in records/notes/charges.

Cons

I dislike how this software is apparently not able to be used on Apple devices.
