It is difficult to change anything or go back to fix anything without administrative access. Thus there are a lot of addendums and emails that happen before things are fixed.

Pros

The software is relatively easy to learn, both for administrators and therapist/users. As it is web-based, it is accessible at all times as opposed to site-based software programs.

Cons

The software was designed for a physical therapy clinic, but was modified to apply to other outpatient therapy professions such as occupational and speech-language therapy. However, we found that was not the case and as a pediatric multi-disciplinary therapy group we found it was sorely lacking in the areas most pertinent to our clinic. The reports the software generates are not as professional looking as we like either. After two years of use, we found a software designed specifically for our uses, with a strong pediatric foundation.

Every time I call for Web PT they have been very helpful and have figured out my issue. Thera bill on the other hand could use some help with customer service from Web PT.

Pros

It is easy to use and navigate. It allows you to fax and find doctors easily. The customer service is excellent. Web PT works hard on progressing and improving there product so it is easier for us as Physical Therapists.

Cons

The home exercise program is hard to find the right exercise. It would be good if you could add your own because either I can't find them or the one I want are not there.

Pros

Easy to use and has multiple tab options to address what you did in the clinic. Multiple directions and customer support ready for small or large companies.

Cons

Crashes occasionally. Very redundant with daily notes and evaluations/progress notes. Some items need to be liquidated to assist with time reduction in documentation.

I switched because I wanted more flexibility and lower rates. I found an EMR that allows me to access my notes even from my cell phone, in fact, I can write notes on my cell phone. That's so functional for us since we are always carrying that device so we can catch up anywhere, anytime. WebPT is very expensive and has a lot of "rules" to follow and limited flexibility with how you write your notes. It's cumbersome to bring in copies of notes.

Pros

Great to have quick access to some objective measures and tests including scoring them, nice to have easy access to all diagnostic and treatment codes, very nice to be able to fax to MDs directly from the software, nicely tracks progress toward goals.

Cons

Too much to fill out, not easy enough to copy from one note to the next, difficulty tailoring to specific practice needs, too demanding in terms of letting you move from one page to the next with requirements to consider something complete - I realize that it is meant to assist with insurance demands, but should be a lot more flexible, can't access from cell phone which you can with other EMR services, too expensive

The interface was designed by a PT. From the start, they tried to make the graphical user interface as friendly as possible. It has always been the best product for the $ in the Outpatient PT realm that I have used. They understood early on that software is a service. When hospital systems were paying for poorly designed software systems with 1980's style templates that played well on the back-end with their existing systems, WebPT was constantly improving their interface to make the least important part of a clinician's jobless aggravating and faster.

Pros

The drop down, fully customizable GUI.

Cons

They failed to create an intuitive interface that learned from a therapist's interaction. Maybe I am expecting too much, but repetitiousness is inherent in patient care. That being said, the primary deficit I noticed over the years is that a goal template is lacking. I include 10-15 goals in each of my evaluations for a reason. I still have to select each goal via a slow, step-by-step process. Their billing service also gets a negative because they charge a percentage to process cash pay patients. Which means you are getting charged for service on an account that they are doing nothing with. This may not seem like a lot at first but ends up costing a clinic a great deal of money.

When I started working in this office, we were still using paper charts and a had written scheduling book. When we moved into the electronic age and joined up with WebPT, we were a little nervous - but were quickly surprised and very pleased how easy it was to use WebPT and now I can't imagine not having it! I love that there are always new things added and improvements made that aid in the ease of use. My experience with the customer service/support staff has always been positive - everyone is always very helpful.

They are a great company overall and listen to our concerns and try to make changes to make everyone happy. Its kind of like being a parent with 30000 kids. We are needy and all want different things for our clinic. :)

Pros

What I like most about this program is the versatility with the set up of the templates and the fact that they are always up to date on all of the changes with insurances.

Cons

I do not like that two people can be in a chart at the same time and that there is no wait list. The scheduler is not very user friendly to set up templates.

Compliance with documentation requirements

Pros

Availability of outcome forms, large selection of tests and measurements to select from, and a fairly quick and easy method for selecting proper ICD-10 codes.

Cons

Would like to see a discharge form that is less complex that can be easily and quickly read and understood by the physicians that we send it to. Physicians receiving the WebPT EMR D/C are not necessarily familiar with the WebPT format, and have occasional difficulty with determining the patient's status

Pros

Very easy to schedule patients. Operation of most systems are similar to windows programming. The prompts the program uses during note taking is very helpful to ensure you don't forget documentation criteria for different insurances.

Cons

I wish the program had the ability to keep a document open and open other documents without closing the current document opening up a separate internet window. I also would like to see more analytics available to assist in tracking of work flow and patient flow.

Web pt is a well constructed piece of software. It is very user friendly, and it can handle all of your EMR, scheduling and billing needs to run a successful therapy rehab facility. The tech support personnel at Web PT are extremely knowledgeable about the product and they typically have any issues I have resolved in a matter of minutes.

Pros

Easy to lean and use. Support staff are very knowledgeable of software program and its web based for ease to finish charting.

Cons

It can be a little expensive if you have a lot of staff employed, but other then that I love Web PT!

Pros

This software is awesome for Remote work. During this pandemic that was what we exactly needed. The price isn’t bad as all.

Cons

Sometimes the server goes down at the most inopportune times. But that’s is few and far between.

WebPT works well for us to maintain detailed records, and it links very well with the billing software we use

Pros

WebPT works very well for Physical Therapy providers, and offers helpful features such as tracking the medicare PT Cap for the year and allowing for notes to be forward for cosignature

Cons

WebPT can become a bit glitchy for providers who have had a login for quite a few years, who document issues of WebPT changes the procedure code on their notes, adding a Dx code the did not choose, or not saving notes properly. I have multiple groups that are multispeciality, who find it does not work as well for their providers who are not Physical Therapists.

WebPT is cumbersome and hard to use. It forces you to document their way, even if it doesn't fit your practice patterns. There is no consistency from section to section within the program. Let's say you want to enter text in a free-from fashion. You click the button, but your cursor never automatically appears in the field so you can start typing. Creating Initial Evaluation reports takes an hour for each one. You're scrolling through a list of items that is literally hundreds of items long, and you can only see 6 lines. Writing out IE reports in the template I made up for my word processor is much faster. The order in which a patient does their clinic program or TE can be very important. The TE/HEP flowsheet isn't set up for that. You can't customize the look of reports to suit your needs or requirements. You're forced to do lots of extra typing each time your write goals. Yes, you can save goals in some list you never get to see, but WebPT makes no distinction between long and short term goals. You have to remember to do that. You have to try to remember exactly how you worded them the last time. You can't see the entire list of goals-- you can only see 5 at a time. Customer service is equally as inflexible. I called with complaints. I had literally stopped using WebPT and gone back to writing notes by hand and and doing my own reports with a word processor. They said there had been a bunch of updates since I stopped using it and that I should do a two hour training session over the phone with someone who will also be a PT. He wasn't a PT, so when I started getting into the nitty gritty of what I want/need on IE reports, he just didn't know what I was talking about.

Super fast and easy to use

Pros

We did a lot of research prior to switching over to a web based program and WebPT came highly recommended. As a PT it makes my documents fast and easy. They are constantly keeping up-to- date with Medicare/Medicaid requirements and other documenting needs. The average daily note takes 2-3 minutes to complete which is very nice!

Cons

Being a web based program on occasion their server can go down which means we can not document or schedule patients.

I am using the tool for my driver rehab services; selection of topics is possible for individuals Using the reports is something we are just starting to venture into as we have more patients.

Cons

limited ability to set up a custom structure which was something that sold us to this program. My time is spent doing the same tasks for each assessment. The layout of the assessment leaves disturbing spaces There seems to be inconsistent success with sending faxes

WebPT has opened our eyes to lots of policies and procedures we might not always know about without them requiring them to be done. They customer service is always soooooo nice, helpful, and knowledgeable.

Pros

The ease of entering all the info through the patients account and the reports that WebPT generates.

Cons

there are some reports that we had with our old software that were very helpful and could use. Doctor referral list for all users, appointment list (includes all future appts for all patients), etc.

At our office I started using Web PT and there was no one here physically to train us. We just dug in and started to input information. Web PT was easy to maneuver.

Pros

What I like most is that the information is readily available. The system is user friendly. I am not a computer wizard by far.

Cons

The fact that I need to contact Web PT to d/c cases of people who scheduled and then decided not to come to Physical Therapy. Please don't get me wrong Web PT always handles my requests ASAP.

This system was easy to use and looks great. Creating accounts for new employees and training them on the system was much easier than with some of the other systems. Completing documentation is also a breeze

Some of the features and customizability that we had with other softwares are missing from this one, but we were able to make do

Whenever there is even the slightest problem, I know I can call the support line, be helped within a few minutes, and given a very satisfactory response. If they do not know the answer immediately, they are always prompt in giving a call-back or an email with a great response

Cons

If your internet connection is faulty at times like ours is, documents can be lost occasionally I wish they paid a little more attention to the things that are in the "Therapist Wish List" for function
