Pros Our company uses WebPT to schedule patients and it is a very easy software to learn. One of my favorite features it that you can color code the insurance so when scheduling you can know the patients insurance without having to look it up in the system. It is convenient being able to keep patients records in one place instead of having paper charts. Overall a GREAT EMR to stick with! Cons There is not really an efficient way to set limits within patient charts for visits, prescriptions, etc. There is a way to document these sort of things but unfortunately no type of alert or notification that will pop up when scheduling the patient. Have enjoyed several webinars as well! Ascend conference that I attended was informative and inspirational. Pros WebPT is PT specific and carry’s over prior visits information which makes daily notes quick and efficient. Pros Enough positive that we've used it since 2012. We have seen several good updates, but as with all updates they change other things in the program. They seem to have amateur IT staff. Pros This product is great because it is focused for therapy. Everything is in one place and no need to jump back and forth between programs for patient info. It will store patient data and provides options to for filling in fields, which is nice. Cons Overall, it seems complicated to use. What I love about WebPT is the user-friendly interface and the flow of the template. Also, we have always had great customer service from their team. In the future, we are hopeful to see integration solutions with other PM systems as well as some customization options for the templates. In the first year of our physical therapy practice, we used a different EMR company. While their intentions were good, the follow through was severely lacking. It became nearly impossible to contact anyone by email, fax or phone. We made the switch to WebPt in the hope that customer service would be better. Used the software for: ### "" May 7, 2013 1.0 I have had WebPT for a year and I spend more time with documentation now than I used to with hand written or word document notes. As a pelvic floor therapist, I have asked them several times in the past year to include the relevant muscles in the evaluation forms, but this has never happened. Moreover, I was told to write them out on a word document and then copy/paste the muscles. The whole reason behind going electronic is to make documentation easier, but WebPT is doing a very good job of making it the opposite. After speaking to some other pelvic floor therapists, I realized that they are going through the same troubles with WebPT. I reached out to WebPT again a month ago, and was told that they are currently busy with the Medicare updates. I would not recommend this EMR to pelvic floor or womens' health therapists. It is a time consuming process for initial evaluations and progress notes. Also, several questions in the bladder habits questionnaire are repeated and have to be clicked over and over again. I wonder who wrote their pelvic floor questionnaire. Another problem I have faced with them is that their system decides to change dates on documentation as it pleases. So after you click Finalize Document, it has the wrong date or visit number. Also, more often that not, the Daily Note with the IE or Progress notes "disappears" and has to be retyped which changes the visit numbers, so then you have to manually change it. I do not use it often and have gone back to writing notes by hand. I hope I can find a better EMR to work with! Used the software for: ### "" May 18, 2013 5.0 In August 2011, I took the plunge and opened my own physical therapy practice in New York City. I knew that the biggest decision I had to make was what EMR system would I go with. I wanted to make things streamlined, paper free and as easy as possible. One of the biggest complaints of other EMR systems and paper systems was accessibility. I would have to come into the office to finish documentation and discharges. WebPT was the best decision I made. It's Mac friendly, you can access it from anywhere, its Medicare compliant, and had options for billing integration. I have previously worked on server-based programs, which I found were timely and costly for updating. We are a specialty practice in pelvic floor dysfunction. We are free for service and non-accept assignment for Medicare, but submit all billing for patients to get reimbursed. We use Kareo for our integration. Its been working well and patients are very happy with their fast reimbursement since most of our claims go out biweekly electronically. We are paper free and scan all patients initial documents and then shred. We have no charts! That means no charts to buy, and no charts to store. The fax part of WebPT is amazing. You and your staff can fax notes in 5 seconds keeping doctors updated with ease. WebPT also has excellent customer service and amazing company values. It's a company I feel passionate about and am happy to be a part of. I consult PT’s specializing in pelvic floor physical therapy starting their own practices, and I recommend WebPT 100%. It is so user-friendly and offers many features we were looking for with our company. Pros The reports mostly missed notes.
