Cons The negatives that I would say are: There are a lot more screens/tabs on the left side that are not usable and the storage locker to upload documents can't handle 'big/large' MB files and it causes a crash of the software. It is a great way to keep our company organized and all our data complete and in one place. Pros Byte is very user-friendly. The layout is very intuitive, which is helpful since this program is so versatile. Everything is very customization-forward and I especially liked customizing my toolbar to reflect my day-to-day needs. The file importing process is very simple and I especially like the click and drag capabilities. Data input is quick and easy. I love the status and flagging section in Byte-- it is a great way to keep several users all on the same page about where a loan is in the process. Cons I wish that Byte had an auto-save feature. When switching between pages and profiles, it is easy to forget to hit that little save icon. I also dislike that when Byte is having issues, it just times out for a while before displaying why it is timing out. It takes a while to even realize that it is timing out and not just freezing. It always resolves itself, however if you were unaware of that, you might force close the program to start over. Review Source JT James T. The software is among the worst that I have used and honestly the only positive I have experienced with the LOS is that the customer service team is US based. Pros There is nothing that I like about BytePro other than after using it I can now say that I would never recommend it to anyone. Cons It does not integrate pricing or lenders. There is no API functionality to submit to lenders like in software such as Arive. Honestly, there is not one thing about this software that I do not like but it is the software the company that I work for utilizes and thus I am forced to use an inferior product that is a drag on production. Documents are hard to manage. Data does not carry over properly on to relevant screens. Switched from [Anthology Encompass](https://www.capterra.com/p/80648/Encompass/) new company used BytePro and thus I am forced to use BytePro. If I had the opportunity to make the decision on what software to use, I would not have BytePro in the conversation at all. May 31, 2017 4.0 Very easy to use and excellent customer service. Pros Very user friendly. Easy to customize. The service staff does an excellent job when you need questions answered. I rarely have to leave a message because the phone is almost always picked up. Great value for the low cost to purchase and maintain. Cons Byte is not able to calculate mortgage payments using a 365 calendar year (actual / 365). We use this method for our portfolio loans that will not be sold into the secondary market. Currently we originate the loan through Byte because of QM/ATR and TRID concerns. Byte is always ready when industry changes arrive. However for our portfolio products, we then have to re-key some of the application and loan rate/term data into a separate LOS to insure accuracy of the Closing Disclosure. Unfortunately Byte does not have a fix in it's future. We have experienced tremendous growth over the past six years and we now need to improve on our efficiency. I hate to leave Byte but I have no choice! BytePro allowed us to customize our workflow and integrate with the necessary third-parties. Support has always been with us when needed. Pros This software is highly customizable with macros, validation rules, and custom screens. The integrated report builder makes it easy to build complex reports. Support is top-notch and they are always courteous and responsive. Cons Like most data-entry software, the UI is not responsive, which can make it difficult to use on high-resolution monitors. There are a lot of systems that are not setup this way. From a reporting standpoint this is incredibly helpful. Cons I do not use this system the same as most people in the loan origination role. I am a report developer and I use this for comparison and gathering column data. Due to this, I cannot say that I have any complaints. Review Source RS Roman S. Byte Pro is powerful, yet logically organized and easy to use. Customer support is helpful, friendly and quick to get on the phone. Definitely consider Byte if you are looking for an LOS.
