" September 2, 2021 5.0 I'm still very old school when it comes to creating video files to distribute amongst family and friends because where I come from, every household still has a home theatre system that comes equipped with a DVD player, so as advanced as I am in the realm of consumer electronics, I can't discard the fact that CDs and DVDs still have relevance (albeit minor) in modern society. This is why I still use Nero till this day, no other software has stood the test of time when it comes to burning content onto disc. Pros I still find this software very useful till tis day even though most people don't use these mediums (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray) as much as they use to. Nero has always been the most convenient way to burn content on disc since the early 2000s. Whether you're making slideshows, home-made movies or even a compilation of your favorite music, Nero has always been the go-to software in making all of that happen. Cons I think at this point in time Nero should find a new method of releasing their software like on a USB stick instead of a Compact Disc. It is getting increasingly harder to find lightweight laptops that still come equipped with a DVD Rom drive plus this whole mechanism does tend to deplete the battery of a laptop when in use but for the most part, I guess the program would be of better use to someone who uses it on a desktop PC instead of a portable notebook. May 8, 2018 5.0 Nero 9 is grateful to have given me the possibility of having in my own home and office a software that gives me independence when editing, burning and copying information of various kinds. Before I had to go to professionals to protect my information by creating backup copies in different formats. Now I do that with a friendly program and for an affordable price. Pros Nero 9 is a software that allows me to copy, edit, record and extract music, images and video with incredible ease. Particularly I have been impressed by the possibility of recording DVD and Blu-ray movies, with a professional quality that I have never experienced before with other products. Nero 9 is a great tool that I would recommend to anyone. Cons Nero 9 sometimes has flaws when trying to convert a video so that it can be played on other media players that do not support the original format. So when trying to burn a DVD I get "error in transcoding the videos" which means you have to cancel the process. I think that's one of the most common failures that Nero 9 has. March 8, 2018 3.0 Usefull tools makes it easy to navigate. That said, the program remains one of the more powerful choices out there to burn, organize and edit files. Pros Upgrade to many features. Easy to navigate. Good value. Great range of tools, 20 different tools; now launch through a portal, which is a neat touch as it makes ending the right program for the job a lot easier. One such new tool is the TV tuner software, which allows you to change channels, record and then edit les a lot easier than simply importing them. You can find back-up tools and even online storage with this latest edition. You'll still and support for Blu-ray as well as AVCHD and an increasing emphasis on editing in HD formats. However, your projects can now be saved to disc as usual, or converted and sent straight to your portable media player, or even MySpace and YouTube. Cons Quite resource-heavy; the full set of tools takes up over a lot of of hard drive space and, unless you're really going to make the most of all the tools on offer, this suite can seem a little resource-heavy. Pros Nero is my favorite cd burning software. It is easy to use and Nero 9 interface is very simple. I really like video editing option because it provides me the option to save my preferred settings. I love Audio editing tool because it can edit and filter music. The most valuable feature in Nero 9 is how easy it is to copy video and music. It can edit album covers also. Nero is very fast to record and it is a very effective software. Cons Sometimes Nero can be a bit slow and takes a while to startup when I launch the software. When I try to burn a DVD the error, “error in transcoding the videos” pops up even when the disk is not damaged or corrupt. It means that I have to cancel the burning process and start all over again. Also, I will not be able to use the same disk again. Its super fast and the burning rate can be change according to our desire. Burning DVDs erasing and rewriting data disk was some of best features it had. There are plenty of new burning softwares and im still using this in my windows 7 personal computer to burn my DVDs. Successful burning probability was more than 98%. User interface feels bit old but its reliable and easy to use. Im using Ashampoo burning studio in my windows 10 PC. When comparing this two Ashampoo is ahead in interface but not in reliability. So Nero 9 is old but gold. It is very friendly that anyone can start with it without any hesitation. Pros This compromise of each and every aspect a multimedia program needs to make backups. I like that is has very attractive interface which is not just attractive but also very convenient. I could record videos in DVD at a standard level. Every function of this is quite easy and never gave me a trouble ever since. Cons I found that at the startup it was little bit slow but works properly. Pros i have used media burning software since it became readily available in the 90's. of all the software i have used for this task, nero is probably my favorite. it is easy to use, and extremely versatile. other software that comes in the package, such as audio and video editing, also works very well. Cons occasionally, you have to fight with it a little to get what you want, but only very rarely. i think the last time i had an issue was when i tried to set a long volume label for the disk i was burning. It's the best solution to transfer data, audio and video on CD and DVD, even if I recommend having that data backed up on hard disk and/or cloud, in the event that CDs become obsolete or deteriorate in time. Cons It's brilliant for what it is, it has a very clearly defined functionality. It can be a bit confusing in the beginning to select the right options for burning: type of data, verifying after burning options etc. Not related to the software, but worth mentioning, as it might cause it not to work: the cd/dvd unit that you use gets older and loses its capacity in time. So, you might experience errors when burning a cd/dvd not because of the software, but because the laser in your unit doesn't work properly anymore. The hardware components get "tired" in time.
