I LOVE Tix...this is my second company working with Tix...I started with you in 2007 and chose you when I moved to my current company because of how much I liked you from before. We are often approached by other ticket companies wanting us to leave Tix and switch to them, often offering comparable rates...but when we tell them what our needs are that we already have in place with Tix they are unable to meet all of the. Even if they could, I'd still stay loayal to Tix.

Pros

The flexibility and the customization that is available is really wonderful. Also the support is great!

Cons

Occasionally, there are small program glitches when new shows are set up but they are always fixed quickly and often it's an error on our part:)...but this is all very minor.

### "Great experience with Tix"

My training was limited (didn't have enough time with the person I was replacing) so going to my account manager (?) \[sensitive content hidden\] is great - very patient, listens to everything, and helps me resolve my issues. Also, one of the after hours tech support fellows was very understanding (this was some time ago, and I regret not getting his name). He also provided excellent customer service and helped me understand what I had to do to get back on track.

Pros

I'm still learning things about using the system, and \[sensitive content hidden\] was absolutely essential to help me resolve a problem using a new feature that we are including this season. After handling the first ticket exchange, she walked me through the process, step by step, giving me time to write my notes and physically follow her instructions.

Cons

There is so much to learn - I wish I had more time to explore all of the other areas that I am not currently familiar with using.

### "I love Tix"

I have been using Tix for several years. I am well informed about changes. When I need help, I get it right away no matter time or day. That's extremely important to me.

Pros

For the most part, I like the ease in setting up an event and the report functions. If there is information I need, I can usually find a report that.

Cons

The tutorials are somewhat overwhelming and hard to follow. Information is presented at a fast pace. It's hard to comprehend, especially if I am making notes. I like to figure things out before calling. That's not always the case.

Really enjoy using the software and find it to be accomodating to our needs as a small community theatre. Easy to use and does exactly what we want.

Pros

This is a great value for the money. Customer support is wonderful and helpful and immediately responsive. Whenever I find a bug or ask for a feature enhancement, my requests and feedback are taken seriously and almost always addressed quickly. I love working with Iris. She's the best!

Cons

I'm unable to access TIX via an API and it's cumbersome to download data via reports. I'd like to be able to create my own reports.

Tix gets the job done without any hiccups so that I can stay moving show to show. I highly recommend checking them out, you won't regret it.

Pros

It's user friendly interface is awesome! I have used other online ticketing systems in years past as they do not compare to the ease that TIX has going for them. I sell Season Seats to half the venue at my shows and TIX seems to be the only online system that knows how to handle this form of ticketing effortless for me year in and year out.

Cons

I can't think of anything, I know that TIX if I do have any issues is always right there just one phone call away to put me right back in business.

Sometimes it isn't obvious where a function is located, however anytime I get consued or don't know how to do something, my customer service rep helps me out.

### "Great For Group Reimbursement! "

My group has come back to Tix year after year. I've considered other programs but always decided to stick with Tix due to the familiarity and the vast options there are for ticket types.

Pros

Makes it easy for my group to pay us for events we're getting group rates for. My group has been using Tix for some time, so we're familiar with it now as well. I like being able to set times, different ticket types, and prices.

Cons

There is limited ability to personalize the individual website page. Lots of other products make this more involved and a bit more modern. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it's not too bad.

Overall, I am pleased with the value for the money. The ease of printing reports and eliminating column not needed.

Pros

The simplicity of the system and the support when needed is always available. I also like being able to make necessary changes without any issues.

Cons

Ability to detect fraudulent activity and add more protection for the end user. It would be nice if when pulling up a seat chart to purchase ticket that the back-end user could see how purchase a specific seat without having to go back to seat management.

### "Excellent Ticketing Service Provider"

We have been with Tix several years and have profited from their services nicely. Their online ticketing has certainly helped us to stay in business and do well at providing high quality chamber music at an affordable price.

Pros

Service and Price. We are a nonprofit, all volunteer organization. It is great to have such competent and patient support.

Cons

There's not much not to like. One nit is although there are plenty of ways of getting sales data out of Tix, we end up having to transform the data to put it into QuickBooks.

I have had nothing but a good experience with the Tix staff. They are always responsive and quick to reply with answers.

Pros

The ease of working with their staff. All of the reports are great also. Anything I want to find out, it's there.

Cons

How it's not very integrative with credit card readers. I have to use a really outdated credit card swipe, and would like to have used something more modern or a scanner.

We were up and running in a half day. We immediately saw our ticket sales take off. I couldn't ask for a better solution.

Pros

It is a wonderful mix of functionality and simplicity. It does everything you need, but is so easy to set-up.

Cons

Haven't had any major issues. We had a few questions, but their support helped us immediately. We had one issue, and they fixed that instantly.

### "Optimal service and satisfaction."

Tix does everything we need from a ticketing service. They're responsive and have always been priced well.

Pros

Their response in addressing every question, concern or issue has always been prompt and thorough. They're like that teacher who lived by 'there's no dumb question'. Also, we are not locked into a contract. We keep their service because they are very good at this, and we've never had an issue that would cause us to consider anyone else.

Cons

I don't really have a complaint. They're in a different time zone than us, so I have, on occasion had to wait before giving them a phone call.

Overall Experience: Wonderful. Marvelous. Game Changing. I am now able to do many things that I could not do before: -Number one is that I have someone I can call with ideas, questions, problems, issues. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]always answers the phone, and she always helps me. -I can alert the kitchen to know how many fans are coming to the game tonight, so they know how many hot dogs to prepare, or how many pizzas to order. -I can measure trends in attendance - which Visiting Teams attract better crowds. -I can easily report our ticket sales and expected revenue for cash flow purposes. -I can know which games have more kids coming, or more adults...we can tailor to the expected crowd. So many metrics are available to our organization that we just never had before.

Pros

Tix.com has been a Game Changer for Humboldt Crabs Baseball. We started contactless ticketing during the Covid pandemic, and Tix.com was the software that made the most sense for us. We reviewed other software choices, and the customer service, user-focus, and fast set up was just not there. We have CONTINUED with Tix.com for many reasons, but I would especially highlight the EXCEPTIONAL, WORLD CLASS customer service. We have a Tix Account Manager who always answers the phone when I call. She knows me. She knows how to fix my issues. Also important is the ease of getting up and running quickly on this platform, the ability to track our sales in real-time, and the ability to easily produce informative reports.

Cons

Sometimes the database is slow to navigate. Sometimes this happens when I am sorting through large amounts of records and I don't really know what I am looking for ( trying to help a customer of mine when they have messed up a purchase ). Once in a while I need to call with an urgent problem when it is "after hours". We are a baseball team and our games are often at night. We have been locked out of the database when fans are streaming into the ballpark, and it can take a while to get help in these situations. Minutes are critical to us when the gates open. The person who answers the phone has to collect a lot of information from me about my account and what the problem is, and then the person who can help takes time to call back. I get it. But if there were a way to streamline this process, it would avoid a critical cardiac event on my part. Maybe if I had a User Code or a User Number that would be "one stop shopping" for delivering the critical information about my account to the Helpers on the other end of the line...? Dunno. It does not happen often, so it's not a deal-breaker by any means. When I finally get to the helper-person, they are always helpful. I will say that some of it is a training issue on our side, but faster/more responsive connection to helpers "after hours" would be a definite plus.

Reason for choosing Tix

No other product had the ease of implementation (quick to set up, quick to learn), combined with great customer service. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], our Tix Account Manager, is a major, major reason that Tix.com has been such a success for us. When I call, she answers the phone. When I am in trouble, she helps. When I screw stuff up, she fixes it or helps me understand what needs to be done. Other products leave you on your own, or assume you have a dedicated person to manage ticketing. For me, ticketing is one tiny slice of what I do. Tix.com is quick, easy and intuitive, and has awesome, helpful people like Iris...all of these features are CRITICAL for our organization.

### "Madison Lyric Stage Glad We Switched to Tix!"

Working with our sales manager, Iris, is the best part of all. She demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the Tix platform and how to achieve both standard setups and customizations. She is very responsive to our email requests, and if she doesn't know the answer herself, she is ready to find the answer timely. Perhaps best of all, she is courteous and good-humored in the face of stresses others may be feeling.

Pros

We have distinctly benefitted from adopting Tix. It has allowed us to have reserved seating with ease, in setup and customization, ease in the customer's online experience, and reports for front desk and back office staff. Its reliable automated processes and flexible customizations for ticketing confirmations and event reminders have relieved us of considerable manual work that we simply no longer had time for, freeing time to provide better personal assistance when needed. The flexibilities possible in combining event attributes, ticket types, patron types, and discounts are excellent. The payment processing passthrough from Tix to PayPal works very well, as does the emailing of sales notices and sales summaries to back office staff. The patron interface seems to be intuitive and easy to use, judging by the low level of assistance we have had to provide in ordering. While you have to commit to a certain amount of learning to get the most out of the platform, we have encountered very few customizations that we couldn't do for ourselves. After a year's learning and experience, we feel confident to work independently with a minimum of assistance from customer service and with a minimum of error.

Cons

The report writer is meant to be adaptable to a really wide variety of organizations, situations, and needs, but can be a bit persnickety to deal with. On the other hand, customer service assistance with report writing, in the form of our sales manager, is excellent.

They have been wonderful and supportive. When I email my rep she has a response with support very quickly. I am amazed at how supportive they are and answer questions so quickly and make things easy. This is probably the most important part of such a service. Having support makes it even better.

Pros

It's easy and simple to use and have detailed features. We are able to set up the box office anywhere as we have a few venues and places we sell tickets. And we can also do phone sales from our home office.

Cons

The printing of the tickets. We don't use a ticket printer at the moment due to budget, so we use a regular printer. It would be nice to have more than one ticket printed per page, but this is a minor issue that we have worked around. It does not effect our work.

Their costs are high as well PLUS you don't get the proceeds of sales until after the event. This makes it harder to be able to run a business. And seating is impossible. If it's not in their database you have to create it yourself, which is a very time consuming process. And there is no support if you have questions on creating the seating chart.

### "Perfect software for assigned seating"

Tix is constantly striving to improve their software. If I have a suggestion, odds are, it's already a project in the works. They are always listening to their customers and changing their software to fit their needs. They take the time to educate us on using their software and keep us updated with any new changes.

Pros

Tix is the only company able to accommodate our unique needs with our festival requiring two separate seating charts for one event. They are also one of the rare ticketing companies that allow us to easily change the order for a customer. The customer service is superb and they communicate clearly with realistic deadlines of when new seating charts can be designed.

Cons

Our lives would be significantly easier if we could check in guests by their first and last name, but I know it's in the near future :)

These companies were not able to handle the seating chart requirements we have. With Tix, we are able to help a customer change their seats on their order and upgrade their tickets, but are limited with other companies.

### "Best Ticketing Service By Far"

Tix are great to deal with. Very honest and don't add hidden fees. What they say that they will do happens.

Pros

It is an easy company to deal with. The ticketing is very professional and efficient.

Cons

We need some training with setting up our ticketing so that we have more control without needing help.

Reason for choosing Tix

Price. Local company where I can speak to the owner if I need to. Did not trust other companies with the contact information of our customers.

The personalized service we receive makes Tix a valuable partner in operating a successful venue. As a local government-owned facility, cost controls are not only important; they are subject to governmental review. Tix offers all desired features at a demonstrably competitive price.

Pros

Tix is easy to use for staff and customers. I have shopped the competition and appreciate the pricing and service that Tix provides. We benefit from Tix keeping our venue in focus throughout the customer interaction with landing pages etc. reflecting our name in the forefront.

Cons

Not all of the features of some legacy reports have been integrated into the newer reports that can be created. Some minor features (like changeable tax rates and ticket text for printing) are not as easy for us to adjust, fortunately \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] is always happy to make changes for us.
