I use iCIMS to keep track of each candidate within the interview and hiring process for available job am actively recruiting on. My company is about 150 employees and we specialize in application software development.

Pros

iCIMS helps me manage the entire process from start to finish and know what stage each candidate is in.

Cons

There is no task option in the software. This would help me keep track and be alerted when I need to follow up on specific things for each candidate.

The program allows the creation of templates to send letters to potential candidates which speeds up the process of filtering though applicants.

Cons

The software often lags and has unnecessary filters for candidates that makes using the software a nuisance at times.

My overall experience is pretty good. Some of the functionality is very easy to use, but other features need improvement.

Pros

I like the automated offer letter, background authorization, etc. Templates. The workflows are fairly easy to manage.

Cons

The reporting is horrible. It's too complicated to get what should be a standard report. The bins are also hard to manage. You have to leave the bins for them to update, they need to update real time.

I highly recommend iCIMS; from implementation through support they are a great team!

Pros

Very intuitive and easy to customize! You can do all of your scheduling of candidates right in the system, no need to create separate calendar invites. I love that I can create as many email templates as I want so I don't have to craft the same message over and over. All of your communication with candidates stays in the portal as long as you initiate the first email from iCIMS.

Cons

Reporting is a bit tricky but they have webinars to help! Searching is also a bit tricky but again, they have webinars regularly that can help you manage.

Easy to use onboarding information is great. I love how anyone can learn easily how to use this software from a office manager to to tier Recruiters.

Cons

I feel that this software needs a better tracking process. I still have to use my trello board in order to keep up with my potential hires list.

All information in one place.

Pros

I liked that all information could be sent through the system, including offer paperwork, benefits, and any other attachments.

Cons

Took SO long to load and our application process was very long in there, causing huge candidate fallout. Also, it was hard to understand the reporting software available to us and how to appropriately filter. Not great for field hires; more appropriate for corporate hires but still not the best.

Don't like the drop down style. Hitting the back button brings you back to the beginning and not to the last page.

Pros

I like the option to add email responses for a quick and smooth process. Everything can be tracked and included in the reports.

Cons

Found it difficult to remove fields that are not used. Was not easy to set up in Outlook, but once we did it worked nice.

I dislike how clunky this can be - the linking to external systems can sometimes glitch, or have a long load time.

Very interactive and broad range of functionality. Able to track an applicant from beginning to end with great amount of detail.

Cons

Because of all the capabilities, can feel overwhelming until you've used it for awhile. Once you get the hang of it, it's very efficient.

Ease of integration to all of our recruiting external providers. Ease of integration into our ERP (Lawson). The iCIMS project implementation team was one of the best I have ever been involved with. They were very in tune with our needs and bent over backwards to meet our requirements. The project was launched on time and on budget. A VERY clean Go live.

Pros

Fully comprehensive solution to our recruiting needs.

Cons

I don't really have any pain points yet. We are early in the implementation but the product has been well received so far by all that use it.

Pros

It is easy to dictate what you need to have filled out and what is optional.

Cons

It confuses some people when they are trying to make a selection.

It is a good tracking system that works way better than the alternative paper version of applicants!

Pros

Being able to review info quickly & easily while keeping them specific to certain jobs & all jobs. We can tag one person in multiple areas and have their info be sent to the hiring managers easily.

Cons

Sometimes it is hard to find a particular person when you have multiple with the same name, but it does have features that allow for a more specific search.

Flexibility in system design (dashboards), reporting capabilities, unique setup for each type of login user. Great customer support.

Cons

The configuration options and flexibility is also a con, as it can take a lot of work to build out what you want when trying to cater to different user types, companies, etc. However, the support team is great, and implementation team offered a lot of solutions.

Customize to fit organizations Needs. Very easy to make quick system changes to adjust to organizational changes.

Cons

Some system limitations. There is not standard phone field, making integration a little challenging. A workaround has been put in place.

Pros

I like how feasible recruiting candidates, viewing resumes, and screening candidates is with icims. I use this every day when it comes to onboarding and recruiting.

Cons

Sometimes the page forces me to reload when I am viewing candidates and then I have to search for the person I was viewing again.
