### "Jackrabbit Dance is essential to our operations"

We have been customers since 2012, and I consider myself pretty high level in the implementation of Jackrabbit's tools at this point. I'm glad to have for client management for sure. Having worked in other systems, I do not believe they are as appropriately set up for class sessions. While Jackrabbit may not be the best for one-off classes, it is definitely the best for class series or sessions with multiple classes being paid for all at once (or over the course of a few months through installments).

Pros

Without , I have no idea how we would manage our catalog of 2,000+ students. At any given time, we typically have between 250 and 500 active enrollments, and we could not manage the activity around class management, client management, and payments without Jackrabbit as a tool.

Cons

I don't love the fact that one-off classes are managed under Events rather than under Classes. It has proven to be confusing to clients, so we typically don't use Jackrabbit for those types of enrollments. I would definitely prefer to be able to use one database management tool for all of our operations.

Overall is great. I appreciate all of the updates. I do wish there was a way to opt out of certain ones like camps and appointments. We do not have use for those

Pros

Easy to use and to teach others how to use. Love the parent portal and that parents can see all messages sent to them. Customer support is awesome! Always there to help and never make me feel dumb for not knowing something.

Cons

I wish there was a faster way to enroll a lot of students at once. I wish we didn’t have to pay for inactive students. I know we can send them to lead but then when the come back I have to remember and pull from lead file and merge accounts. If I don’t remember they look like a new family.

### "Good reliable studio management system"

is a good studio management system. It's reliable and works well for the features it has. Would love for it to do more but have yet to find a one size fits all needs system so we stick with JR.

Pros

Easy to use for managing our classes and the customer portal is easy for our customers to use. It functions well for our studio management and we love features like direct class listings on our website.

Cons

Automation for billing only works for accounts enrolled at the time of the automation setup leading to missed billing. Having to delete or archive inactive students to decrease our cost to use JR. CRM is not included/incorporated.

Overall, it is a comprehensive software that allows for teacher and employee integration. More so than other software we have used. This is our current software.

Pros

Jackrabbit shows a thorough overview of your business and has many options for reports. You are able to break down income reports by genre, class, students, year, etc.

Cons

The transaction summary on each client account can sometimes be confusing. The running balance is often hard to track. It is easy to miss charges on accounts if you have rules set. We often comb through accounts to ensure they aren't missing anything

has very thorough customer service and can be set up to suit your business and needs. Totally customizable. Schedules can integrate with your website. You can email and text through the service. It offers many easy options for billing and tracking.

Pros

Ease of online registration and seemless integration with a Family Portal which allows families to stay on top of their accounts, including billing.

Cons

Some improvements needed for tracking a drop-in pre-paid punch card system.

### "I'll never stray from Jackrabbit again!"

I have used a few different studio software systems over my 17 years of dance studio ownership. I was regretfully tempted to try a new platform a few years ago - BUT I immediately returned to Jackrabbit and will never stray again! Not only does it offer everything I'm looking for in one program, but it's always adding new features (many of which are suggestions from other users like me!) And if I have an issue (user error or otherwise), the customer service is incredibly responsive and helpful! I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Jackrabbit and highly recommend to my DSO peers!

Pros

I love having a one-stop-shop for all aspects of running my dance studio - CRM, costume management, store inventory, recital prep, and more! No need to use a bunch of different apps/programs - Jackrabbit does it all!

Cons

Wish I could tab between students or families, but I love that I can make that suggestion and it could possibly be added to the improvement pipeline!

When I tried switching over to DSP (promised to be cheaper and better), it didn't have any of the capabilities that Jackrabbit had so I very soon switched back to JR - which is well worth the cost.

Any questions are responded to in a very timely manner. Team members listen patiently and always help us to navigate to what we are trying to find or fix or do. Absolutely exceptional customer service.

Pros

Response time is phenomenal, they consistently strive to improve and there are so many tutorials to help train new staff and get yourself unstuck. So grateful they partnered with Zapier to make our backend easier and the partnership to now make texting an option has been a complete game changer for our business.

So many options to customize sometimes it’s hard to find the exact information you are looking for.

We hace used Jackrabbit since 2007. We have seen several changes and along the way their customer service has been amazing.

Pros

The customer service has been the best part of being with Jackrabbit. The trainings to use all the features is also amazing. The updates to the systems keep them engaged with their cluents.

Cons

Because Jackrabbit clients are from several industries, some updates seem more specific to certain industry.

A big learning curve during initial setup, and some simple elements they are missing that seem obvious to include, but overall very happy with it!

Pros

\- Jackrabbit has a great (and quick) customer service team. They walk you through step-by-step how to resolve any issues you have! - They have ample report options; all the basic needs you would need for a dance studio; plus ways to organize/order recital costumes and create recital performance orders which has been very helpful! - Their database experience for staff as well as the portal for dance parents looks very professional, and makes our studio feel like we are offering the best to our dance studio. - We also enjoy the ease of creating our classes and (with simple coding you can copy/paste and embed in your website) having them automatically appear on our website. - They have great articles for almost anything you could possibly need help with, plus incredible online training for new staff or those who would be moving up into managerial positions!

Cons

\- There are some simple needs for a dance studio that has difficulty with, such as creating private dance lessons (one-time or recurring -- although this is a new feature they are finally releasing), a way to customize how much a teacher gets paid based on individual class, automation for late fees being applied (they have automation for tuition posting and auto drafting but not applying registration/costume/late fees), and limited customization on the online registration form or portal registration. - Perhaps the biggest annoyance has been their email editor. Their new template editor is a BIG step forward! However, it is still clunky enough that makes me hesitant to stop using our normal bulk mail system like Mailchimp, constant contact, etc. (For example, Mailchimp/Constant Contact/Etc allow you to take a previously made template and easily swap out images, change the hyperlink on a button, or delete a text box from within the simple editor, vs. in Jackrabbit you have to make a whole new template anytime you want to change a picture or hyperlink, etc. In addition, there are still dumbfounding limitations to changing the text and font.)

Overall the initial set up was easy and JR staff was very helpful - a year later and still have a lot to learn and still learning basic tasks since many steps are involved. As the Owner I am not on the software all the time like admin so it takes me extra time as some stuff feels like I am re-learning. Screen casts work best for me since I am visual learner!

Pros

Right of the bat the customer service! They were very helpful and got me up and running quick!

Cons

There are almost too many features with the software and finding how to do something on your own is very complicated - you have to almost always ask for help! Which is why their chat is so busy!

Overall, I enjoy using jackrabbit for planning, administration, and scheduling. Areas of improvement are more niche, like recital management and drop-ins.

Pros

Being able to easily manage all aspects of the registration and class administration process, including initial class registration, scheduling makeup classes, processing tuition, and tracking attendance.

Cons

The recital/shows management could be more integrated with the rest of the platform- you can't adjust someone's recital participation from their profile. It is also challenging to manage drop-ins, but the recent updates are promising!

We use it in our studio. It has everything we need from Student records to pricing. My teachers use it for attendance.

Pros

I do not use Jackrabbit to its full potential. We are a small studio. However the program helps keep my studio running and it is easy for the parents to access as well. Once you learn to navigate the program you find more things it can do for us. It streamlines everything and puts it in one place

Cons

The set up process was time consuming at first. Everything takes time to do it right. But now, 12 years later it is easy.

We have been using Jackrabbit Class for more than 14 years and are amazed by the new features that continue to be released that make our job easier and our business grow

Pros

Ease of creating and maintaining a session of over 175 classes. We love the ability of performing group edits on classes. The Business Intelligence dashboard is a game changer for us and allows us to easily see enrollments/drops and metrics surrounding retention and churn without having to create special reports and spreadsheets. We are excited to use the new Appointments feature to define and track our over 400 hours of weekly private lessons.

Cons

A work in progress, like them. It does have a lot of features and I have high hopes that improvements will improve my experience.

Pros

I like that they are constantly improving things and building more features in a (mostly) comprehensive and efficient manner. I hear customer service is solid, but I have not used it. Webinars are usually well done, but super basic and I rarely learn anything new.

Cons

It is far less intuitive than other software programs I have used. I feel like I have to more things manually and am rarely able to find what I'm looking for help on using the search criteria. A simple search yields results that do not align with the basic keywords or phrases I use to get information. There is also little continuity in how things function throughout the program. For example, 'save changes' is different for each thing that is editable as far as size, placement, whether things are done automatically or needs an extra 'save' button pushed.

I’m still relatively new with but overall I like it so far. I feel as though there’s a lot of capabilities on the platform that I haven’t explored yet and want to do that I’m sure I’m using Jackrabbit to it’s full capacity.

Pros

I like that it’s extremely user friendly! Typically you can figure out what to do on your own but if you can’t, there are so many learning resources online provided by Jackrabbit to help!

Cons

Reporting for attendance. I don’t like how the reports look and find it difficult to understand at a glance.

I feel like jackrabbit is easy to use and if I do something wrong, it's an easy fix. It's user friendly for someone like me(a little tech challenged - lol!).

Pros

The support team from jackrabbit is amazing! I can email them and I hear back almost immediately. Everyone is super nice too and they never make feel like any of my dumb questions are a waste of their time. I highly recommend them!

Cons

Not really a jackrabbit issue, but I wish we could wrap the credit card fee into their payments. That monthly bill to swipe credit cards - OUCH!

I believe every report from Families, Classes, and Transactions should include the Family and/or the Student ID. That way, I can combine reports and make a deeper analysis through MS Excel or MS Access.

Overall our experience with Jackrabbit has been fabulous. We’ve been using it for 10+ years and are thrilled to continue to see JR grow and make changes.

Pros

What I love most about Jackrabbit is their customer support. We’ve had great success with needing assistance, and then scheduling a call or chatting with a support agent for help, and we’ve received assistance in a timely matter that’s been wonderful.

Cons

What I like least about Jackrabbit is that there isn’t an app to download. Especially when I need to pull something up quickly and am not near my computer, it’s hard when I can’t just open an app. We’ve given that feedback before to JR as well.

Overall, the experience has been positive. The software helps us run our studio effectively and smoothly. I love that the instructors have access to the app and are able to communicate with their classes as needed. Not a fan of the new dashboard or major changes. I enjoy consistency and hope the classic dashboard will remain an option for those who wish to continue using it.

Pros

Love the old dashboard. Lot's of uses and options. Chat is very helpful. Wish there was a customer service number to call someone immediately VS having to schedule a phone call.

Cons

Very tabby and pop ups. I wish there was a notification of when your active student/ family amount puts your studio into the next payment tier so it is less of a surprise when the monthly bill arrives.
