Owner Fine Art Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Dance studio with 100 students. " December 6, 2024 4.0 The overall experience has been great. Support is always responsive and helpful. I like that there are videos on most support articles and that you can request a call when needed. Aside from the interface being a little cumbersome sometimes, it does have all the features we need for the most part and is well thought out in terms of functionality. Pros The parent portal is a nice feature and a great way to get people signed up for Dance classes. It makes our studio look more professional without having to invest in an expensive website. Cons Some of the way things work in the user interface is not very intuitive, especially regarding the setup of tuition billing. I implement software for a living, my family owns a software company, and I still struggle setting up classes and billing and find myself watching support videos or contacting support every year to get a refresher on how things work together. There are a lot of settings that live in different places and I often find myself struggling to figure out which setting I have wrong when something isn't working as expected. I love the interface with the weekly calendar that can take me to ANY class quickly. Once I got used to its operation, JD was really easy to use. I wouldn't say that I'm a "power user" - I tend to use just the basic features... and these are working great for our small nonprofit ballet school. Pros Easy to use with tracking class attendance. Having an all-in-one platform payment works well, too. Customer service is terrific. I have had a few issues come up, and each time the support staff solved my problems well. Making a video to step me through the process of fixing my issues is great. Cons It's still confusing to me about Posting the fees and then the e-Payments. This is especially troublesome when a student registers for a class near the end of a month, and then the system will bill them for the remaining weeks in the month (that's fine) but also for the following month which has not started yet (that is ultra-confusing). Getting those duplicate postings NOT to charge is difficult at times. " December 4, 2024 4.0 It's pretty good at what it does! I find sign-ups are more convenient. I miss how easy it is to see the tuition amounts per student, as our old system (DSP) had. Pros Great sign-up interface, and I love that it auto-sends receipts. Pros Ease of use for class and student management. Cons The inability to structure our discounts as needed, causing me to have to manually enter them to each family each month. The excessive cost to have the ability to sent mass texts. This should be a per text basis since its so occasionally. The way our invoices look to clients, they are not easy to read and are often confusing even for me. Pros I like that everything is in one place. I like that I can keep track of students and staff. Cons I don't like that I can't have students on the competition team and on the main account duplicated with the same payment information. I also don't like the limitations on billing which stop me from being able to fully automate my monthly billing. I also dislike that there is no customer service number to reach you people. If I have an issue, I'd like to resolve it when I have the issue rather than make an appointment for a week later to speak to somebody then. Review Source KA Karina A. What can I say this program has really been a game changer for our business and I would recommend it to any business owner!!! Cons I really don't have anything bad to say about the program. We usually find that jackrabbit does everything we need it to do with a few exceptions. Pros Jackrabbit has the best customer service hands down! They are always ready to help and the customer support chat saves us so much frustration. Cons They are slow to adapt needed changes - for example there is currently no way to archive individual students - only whole families, but we get charged by student. This has been a know issue with hundreds of users asking for a change for years but no action has been taken. Pros It is easy to use on a daily basis. Love that there are so many connecting points for the multi use of the system between scheduling, posting tuition, payments, emails. Cons I think the technology and code can be more advanced to keep up with other registration platforms. Pros I like how forgiving it is. It is very user friendly and meets all my needs. Cons I think it has a pretty steep learning curve. I feel comfortable using it, but my entire office staff doesn't. I know there is a lot of trainings and a great library of support topics. We just need to find the time to take advantage of them. December 7, 2024 5.0 I feel like jackrabbit is easy to use and if I do something wrong, it's an easy fix. It's user friendly for someone like me(a little tech challenged - lol!). Pros The support team from jackrabbit is amazing! I can email them and I hear back almost immediately. Everyone is super nice too and they never make feel like any of my dumb questions are a waste of their time. I highly recommend them! We are very happy as it is our first year in business and it has been great to use. Pros Organizing all of our payments into one place for parents to see and track Cons The appointment function doesn't seem to provide all of the capabilities we would need in order to make it work to schedule our private lessons. We are having to do it manually right now through events which is very time consuming. I also don't love the trial lesson scheduling system and it's a lot of double checking and manual work. We’ve been using it for 10+ years and are thrilled to continue to see JR grow and make changes. Pros What I love most about Jackrabbit is their customer support. We’ve had great success with needing assistance, and then scheduling a call or chatting with a support agent for help, and we’ve received assistance in a timely matter that’s been wonderful. Cons What I like least about Jackrabbit is that there isn’t an app to download. Especially when I need to pull something up quickly and am not near my computer, it’s hard when I can’t just open an app. We’ve given that feedback before to JR as well. I think jackrabbit is a valuable tool that is worth every dime. Pros The features I like the most are the useful reports, the ability to automate monthly tasks, and the ability to filter certain aspects to reduce the amount of time spent on looking at certain families. Cons The only thing I’m not a fan of is that the costume feature doesn’t work for us. The costume feature seems to only function as a way to order outfits and not to check out costumes, which is what our dance company does. If there is a way to customize it would totally be a game changer for our wardrobe director.
