Pros

I like that you can make newsletter templates directly on Jackrabbit to give a more professional look to your communication. Also, that you can look through all transactions and family history/

Cons

That parents cannot chose certain things to pay for on their account, they must pay the full balance at once.

Its an okay system, but there are a few things that i wish would be updated below.

Pros

Ease of use for class and student management.

Cons

The inability to structure our discounts as needed, causing me to have to manually enter them to each family each month. The excessive cost to have the ability to sent mass texts. This should be a per text basis since its so occasionally. The way our invoices look to clients, they are not easy to read and are often confusing even for me.

Overall jackrabbit has been a good addition to our studio and is a good way to keep track of our classes, families, and finances

Pros

Very user friendly, easy to add families and classes, applying payments to purchases makes the account clear

Cons

The Events system is a bit confusing for both the families who are registering and also the admins setting up events

Fantastic. I have been thoroughly impresed and pleased with the product and their customer service.

Pros

I absolutely LOVE their Customer Service. Their customer service is personal, speedy, and efficient. They really listen to their end-users to help create the best product possible.

Cons

I wish there was a direct plug-in to show a monthly calendar of all classes to link to our website. There are some out there made by third-parties and that is not what I want.

Honestly, it was the customer service shown coupled with my past experience with the product. It also was nice that we would be charged by the amount of enrolled students, so pricing was affordable.

When I came on board, enrollment tracking and payments were not cohesive nor easy to find/streamline. Reporting was non-existent. I had used Jackrabbit at another studio and loved it, so I advocated for the transition.

Overall very good! We usually find that jackrabbit does everything we need it to do with a few exceptions.

Pros

Jackrabbit has the best customer service hands down! They are always ready to help and the customer support chat saves us so much frustration.

Cons

They are slow to adapt needed changes - for example there is currently no way to archive individual students - only whole families, but we get charged by student. This has been a know issue with hundreds of users asking for a change for years but no action has been taken.

Pros

I love everything about JackRabbit! We are able to have everything in one program, from attendance to payroll. It helps us stay organized. It keeps us running efficiently and smooth. and did I mention how easy it is to use?!?!? What can I say this program has really been a game changer for our business and I would recommend it to any business owner!!!

Cons

I really don't have anything bad to say about the program. They are always coming up with new things and making things better. I love everything about the program and how simple it is to use.

Overall, great. I also love the customer service and ticketing system. You all are so quick with responses and always respond with the best assistance and tutorial of how to do it ourselves or best way to do it from your expert opinion.

Pros

It is easy to use on a daily basis. Love that there are so many connecting points for the multi use of the system between scheduling, posting tuition, payments, emails.

Cons

I think the technology and code can be more advanced to keep up with other registration platforms. Example: the basic ability to bring in html and auto-populate keywords like first name, class enrollment, etc.

Overall the initial set up was easy and JR staff was very helpful - a year later and still have a lot to learn and still learning basic tasks since many steps are involved. As the Owner I am not on the software all the time like admin so it takes me extra time as some stuff feels like I am re-learning. Screen casts work best for me since I am visual learner!

Pros

Right of the bat the customer service! They were very helpful and got me up and running quick!

Cons

There are almost too many features with the software and finding how to do something on your own is very complicated - you have to almost always ask for help! Which is why their chat is so busy!

Love it! We are all in! It makes our business more organized and more efficient.

Pros

I like how forgiving it is. It is very user friendly and meets all my needs.

Cons

I think it has a pretty steep learning curve. I feel comfortable using it, but my entire office staff doesn't. I know there is a lot of trainings and a great library of support topics. We just need to find the time to take advantage of them.

We switched from Studio Director. Studio Director was falling apart. Inaccurate reporting and very poor customer service. We also switched because of the Jackrabbit's integration with payment processing and the posting of fees directly to customers' ledgers.

Pros

The ease and organization of the program. It makes day-to-day tasks simple.

Cons

The wait time for payment processing through the third-party.

Pros

Great support and help center, parent portal function and staff portal functions. Office team appreciates the training modules and ongoing software updates.

Cons

We would love to see a refresh of the recital module. It is great at identifying conflicts but having the rosters refresh to "Yes" is difficult to keep track of who is/isn't participating with accuracy.

I feel like jackrabbit is easy to use and if I do something wrong, it's an easy fix. It's user friendly for someone like me(a little tech challenged - lol!).

Pros

The support team from jackrabbit is amazing! I can email them and I hear back almost immediately. Everyone is super nice too and they never make feel like any of my dumb questions are a waste of their time. I highly recommend them!

Cons

Not really a jackrabbit issue, but I wish we could wrap the credit card fee into their payments. That monthly bill to swipe credit cards - OUCH!

Cons

I believe every report from Families, Classes, and Transactions should include the Family and/or the Student ID. That way, I can combine reports and make a deeper analysis through MS Excel or MS Access.

Pros

I like the automation. I wish there was a bit more but am hopeful that it’s coming.

Cons

I don’t like the email set up. I would like to incorporate better templates and time lines on when emails will be sent.

Easy to use. Consistent upgrades and the links with other companies - Check In Pointe, Express Payroll, Mobile Inventor, Etc

Cons

Appointments option not being fully launched. It would make our lives easier if all private lessons could be in one place.

Love it. I think jackrabbit is a valuable tool that is worth every dime.

Pros

The features I like the most are the useful reports, the ability to automate monthly tasks, and the ability to filter certain aspects to reduce the amount of time spent on looking at certain families.

Cons

The only thing I’m not a fan of is that the costume feature doesn’t work for us. The costume feature seems to only function as a way to order outfits and not to check out costumes, which is what our dance company does. If there is a way to customize it would totally be a game changer for our wardrobe director.

We’ve been using Jackrabbit for the last 4 years and it has been a huge timesaver for us. We use it from everything from billing to planning recitals and everything in between. Can’t imagine life without Jackrabbit.

Pros

One stop shop to keep everything organized for running the studio. I love that we can also plan our recitals right in the program.

Cons

Emails can be difficult to send with the correct formatting.

Overall, my experience has been phenomenal with how user friendly jackrabbit is. My staff can be trained to use the portal in just a few minutes and the dance parents have no issues accessing their portal. It’s a one stop shop for everything a dance studio needs.

Pros

I love how jackrabbit keeps up with the needs of dance studio owners. They are consistently updating and adding to the value of their portal.

Cons

The New Dashboard is typically empty on my screen and I need to go into the old dashboard to read information.

Overall, Jackrabbit is pretty straight forward, and their help center is always on top of their game. I just wish it was a little more user friendly. So it could be easier to train new people on.

Pros

I enjoy that there's room for so much information to be stored. And that it's easy for parents to access their portal.

Cons

There are certain features that seem counter-intuitive, or unorganized. Particluar that credits don't automatically apply when a parent initiates a payment through the portal or that I can't do a "quick enrollment" if I'm building a new class with students in mind.
