I have used a smart since 2013. Overall, I would give them an A minus. Customer service is phenomenal but sometimes you have to get to higher levels to get certain issues resolved. It should not be that way. Wait times are extremely long to speak to someone but that has improved lately.

Pros

I love the reminder features that can automatically go out. Some of the reporting is also very helpful. I love being able to integrate my credit card system into the POS.

Cons

I hate the fact that they are no longer going to add or modify features to the non-cloud base version.

It’s been a great experience! Everything is very simple to learn yourself and navigate. When you do need help their customer service line is amazing!

Pros

I love everything about . It makes scheduling so easy with the appointment reminders! Who has the time to manually do that anymore?

Cons

The days it wouldn’t work. There was a handful of days where they were working out bugs. It was extremely frustrating dealing with upset clients that can’t process a card because of DaySmart being down. Overall great service.

### "New Tech support policy not groomer friendly "

I love the easy navigation, reports, how the software operated. Just don't run into tech issues. It's a game of back and forth for 3 1/2 months with no fix.

Pros

I loved DaySmart from 2013 to 2023. Then they changed the tech support to AI. Before you could talk to a agent and get your software problems resolved in less then 30mins. Kind, helpful, supportive and a peace of mind, But Not now!!!!!

Cons

!!!!Tech support has gone to the pits!!!! Not suitable for busy Owners/Groomers. First you go through AI's questions. Next e-mail back and forth. Waiting game with tech support. You are in between other Client support e-mails, etc. E-mailing don't get the fix? Then they will set up a call appointment. If you think the problem is fixed. Surprise it's not!! You have to start all over. I talked to multiple tech agents explaining the issues. Problems couldn't get resolved in one day because I have grooming deadlines to meet. I can't just sit waiting for a return response. By the way i have to use my hands to groom. So how am i suppose to do that sit at the computer and e-mail back and forth!!!! Talking to a live person builds quality customer support and relations.

My overall experience with has been very positive. It has become an essential part of running my grooming business day-to-day. Whenever I run into an issue or have a question, the team responds quickly and helps resolve it without hassle. That level of support makes a big difference, especially when I’m busy and need things to work seamlessly. Overall, it’s a dependable system that I trust, and it has helped me stay organized, save time, and focus more on my clients and their pets.

Pros

I’ve been using for a long time, and what I like most is how easy it makes managing my dog clients and scheduling appointments. Everything is very intuitive and helps me stay organized. What I appreciate the most, though, is their fast problem-solving. Of course, issues can come up sometimes, but whenever they do, the team responds quickly, fixes things right away, and clearly explains what happened. It makes a huge difference and allows me to use the system without stress.

Cons

One thing I wish offered is AI-powered phone support and automated booking. It would be amazing to have calls answered and appointments scheduled automatically, especially during busy grooming hours. Overall, these are relatively minor compared to how helpful the system is, but adding them would make the experience even better.

Overall experience is a 10/10. We have been using DaySmart for close to 20 years. We rarely have an issues and when something does come up the service team is there to help you.

Pros

The Client Pet Management is great for this system. It is very easy to add now clients and update their pet status. The Reporting is pretty vast. There is countless number of reports that you can print out to help your business. I like pulling up a report that allows you to see when the last time clients were in. This provides me a list of all the customers that are due for their next hair cut. I print that out and give it to my front desk at the beginning of each month and we call up customers to make sure they book their appointments on time. There are also reports that give me the top customers by $ and I can break it down per groomer. I give that to my groomers so they can see who their top customers are for the year and they make them a special gift package at the end of the year. The Learning Curve on this system is pretty short. By day 3 a new employee will feel comfortable with navigating the system.

Cons

Improvements and Updates. I like the online book system. We implemented the online system 2 years ago and we have gone from 8% of our clients booking to 17%. That is a big jump. I would like to see more options with the online booking. Hoping to see that with future updates.

Extremely helpful and easy they handle everything you have to do nothing but the client and sometimes you don’t have to do that. They can do it online.

Your customer service is exceptional. I've spoken with four people today in various departments and everybody was exceptional. I was laughing on each call, and we got everything that was necessary done.

Pros

The staff are amazing. Software is wonderful. Integration to POS is key. Mainly, it's been my staff interactions that make me enjoy the product. I've been using the desktop, and it's awful, but all of the issues I have with that should be corrected once we migrate to the cloud.

Cons

The desktop version is archaic. I know this is by design to push people into the web-based version, which is my intent.

Pros

Kept it simple, easy to explain. I didn't have to get on the phone or stay beside the computer which was very helpful.

Actually there wasn't anything I didn't like. There wasn't anything that I disliked or thought needed improvement.

It is super easy to use. Support is easy to access. I’ve always been able to get in touch whenever anything arises.

meh. customer service is a hassle to get a hold of then they usually have to escalate the issue which takes time away from doing anything else. There isn't quick fixes and I can't count the number of times I've heard 'I don't know', or 'we can't do that'. It seems like easy/ straightforward things like reports should be easy to customize, they are not. If i want to get the vaccine information (expired vs near) I can either get a report for anyone with a future appointment or everyone who is ever been put into the computer this includes deceased and inactive animals. Then download into excel and go through one by one to sort out... why can't i just search for current daycare clients??? it makes no sense

Pros

I wanted it for the text messaging feature, the schedule looks easy to follow and was looking forward to updates and eventually switching to cloud based

Cons

cloud software is terrible, it has way too much extra information and doesn't have needed reports that already exist in the computer software. We use the app and the IPad alot but the program doesn't translate to the app. We cannot see or update vaccines on app ( this is very important) I cannot see or update messages or notes or balances. It would be nice if a note we put saying I don't know dog bites be careful actually showed up easily so we didn't have to go through 10 screens to see it. You can't have multiple screens opened at once so if someone is using the system they have to complete or exit out of what they are doing like creating a marketing email; then you can check someone out. Credit card issues like if you forget to press complete it times out and the charge wont go through. I have a 7-8 page list of features that don't work or don't make sense

We have had a great experience with Daysmart overall--it greatly improved booking efficiency in our salon and helped us eliminate double bookings and decrease the amount of missed appointments we were experiencing.

Pros

We love how easy it is to use and find information on all of our clients!

Cons

We would love a feature that would tell us our next available 1 hr apt, 2 hr, apt, and weekend appointment. It would make running our business even easier! We would also love a better wait list design--we often have a large waitlist and the set up of the current wait list function does not work for our set up.

### "Busy Grooming Salon? Say no more!"

Pros

The review prompting KILLS! We have gone from 7 Google reviews to 200+ reviews and just one year using . We also see less no shows due to their auto-reminder texts and are busier than ever. They system is easy to for both the front desk staff and the groomers.

Cons

There are some little features here and there that I would love to see. We also encounter some bugs that can be frustrating, but the support team is usually already working on them before I even have a change to report.

Awesome! It is so easy to use, book an appointment and easy to find settings if you need to adjust them. Also customer service has been amazing!

Pros

Easy to use, great customer support & great pricing.

Cons

Doesn't match to QuickBooks very good, its ugly and seems like the look is out dated. The portable card reader sucks, would be nice to have a different option. Confusing for customers to have a text number for your services that isn't your main number.

Been with them for over 10 years. They have quick service repairs and can log into the system to help manage issues. Great Prices

Pros

The software is excellent for Grooming services Salons, but it has some minor flaws. The built- in POS system is a must. I love the all-in-one software system and straight to the point . You get text service, pos, booking system , and marketing .

Cons

Also, you have to do online support through a chat service, not a person . The system does not recognize the same info from clients, so multiple files have too be merged manually.

I’ve used it for years now with almost zero issues. If something like a glitch comes up, the help team is easy to access and the problem resolves quickly.

Pros

It’s very user friendly. My employees figure it out quickly as well. S healing, pet notes, clients notes, directions to clients house, credit card processing etc.

Cons

So far I have not had any issues that have bothered me or caused me any stress or that I couldn’t get a work around to the issue.

We use for our grooming salon and it’s been a huge help keeping everything organized. Client and pet profiles are easy to manage, online booking and reminders save us time, and integrated payments make checkout simple. There’s a small learning curve at first, but once it’s set up, it runs smoothly and is definitely worth it.

Pros

What I like most about is how organized it keeps everything. Having client info, pet notes, appointment history, reminders, and payments all in one place makes running the salon so much easier. It saves time every single day and keeps us on track.

Cons

The biggest downside is the initial learning curve, getting everything set up exactly how you want it can take some time. Some features aren’t as intuitive at first, and certain customizations require a little trial and error. BUT! They have an amazing messaging system that will answer your questions 24/7.

I like that customer service is available and if I have any questions that immediately answer them to give me an answer!

Cons

So far like everything I have not ran into anything yet that I least like, I would say maybe paying a month for the subscription but I understand for everything that you're getting plus a website

Overall the staff are kind and helpful so I would say good. And I do have the basics covered for the cost which is a decent value.

Pros

I appreciate having something pet specific and not just general "shop" software. I also like the data collected for bookkeeping.

Cons

I would love a "pet name" specific reminder to go along with their other features, not just client name. I would also like for it on the receipts -who received what services listed on it.

Because it fit most of my basic needs, was affordable for my very small, part time practice, and again was pet specific unlike other management software programs.

The price is pretty high especially when you get into the marketing aspect of it. Adding a customers address to the screen while using a PC is a little clunky. Also reoccurring appointments. Need some updates to account for people who want it groomed more than 10 weeks or on a certain day of the month.

Reason for choosing DaySmart Pet

I chose them because they were one of the best software companies out there for grooming. If there’s any out there, they do about the same thing and really focus on social media and marketing I would consider switching. Period.
