Pros

Very informative and great customer support so far. We are looking forward to the patient management and charting usage.

Cons

We dislike that the AP payments option does not accept/work with GLP-1 medication payments. That's a bit frustrating.

Like I said, it was fine at first for just getting started. The onboarding was good- helpful for sure. But after that I felt like I was on my own.

Pros

This was my first EMR system for my own business. I was excited at first because it seemed very high tech. It was good for getting started, but as I added services it wasn't quite up to what I needed.

Cons

It was very frustrating when I had a problem. I could never talk first hand (or even chat) with someone. I would have to submit a ticket, wait for a response, and go back and forth with them that way. It would sometimes take DAYS to resolve an issue.

### "Aesthetics Pro is the way to go"

It was difficult for us to switch to AP, but after all everything worked out, we are up and running. We feel like we made the right choice.

Pros

AP is user friendly, affordable, and customer service is excellent. We also appreciate that AP is constantly working on making the software better. Furthermore, it's nice that AP regularly checks up on us to make sure that we are okay. Last but not least, the contemporary features like the patient portal that come with AP are very important for us to stay competitive.

Cons

1.Picture uploads could be easier. 2. It would be great if we could make changes to an invoice on a later day if needed. 3. The commission structure to be more flexible. We pay commission on net profit. That option is not available in AP. 4. It would be nice if we could scan our forms into AP instead of building them from scratch.

I would say the platform has been very easy to navigate and user-friendly from the beginning. Everything is organized in a way that makes it simple to find what I need without confusion or frustration. One thing that has really stood out to me is the level of customer service and support. Anytime I’ve had a question or needed assistance, the team has been extremely friendly, professional, and very prompt in responding. It’s reassuring to know that help is available quickly when needed, and that has made my overall experience much more positive and stress-free.

Pros

The training sessions have been extremely helpful and informative. The team does an amazing job walking you through the platform step-by-step, making everything easy to understand and apply. They thoroughly explain each feature, how it works, and how it can be effectively incorporated into your company’s daily operations. The support, patience, and detailed guidance provided during training have made the onboarding experience smooth, professional, and very valuable.

Cons

Wish it had AI so i could make service packages and descriptions and I wish it had the booking link that didn't look like a long code.

We haven’t opened yet so can’t comment on actual use, but so far with set up and training we are very happy. The support and onboarding staff have been great. We did a lot of research of different options for EMR and AP is what we chose and so far we don’t regret this choice.

Pros

It’s the most comprehensive EmR software specifically designed for aesthetic medicine. It has versatile features, functionality design tailored to businesses like medspas, and a responsible support team.

Cons

Some of the integration functions still need improvement. Currently things like texting, video visits, RX, all require third party integration that needs the client to set up separate accounts then connect to AP. Wish these could be just part of the software.

Overall, the system is very good and it gives the operator the ability in completing tasks fast and efficient!

Pros

Versatility and ease to get support from the team! Adjustable to the nature of your business and how to tackle complex issues and actions.

Cons

Possibly you guys can limit the number of clicks to get to certain topics. Also, if you are imputing prices for products and services to have a tab for taxes right there instead of going back to the admin menu to find the taxes tab.

Overall, my experience with has been positive. The platform has many useful features for aesthetics and wellness practices, and it offers a strong foundation for scheduling, charting, memberships, and patient management. However, there is still room for improvement in areas like automation, inventory, and communication tools. With more refinement and modernization, it could become an even stronger all in one solution for growing medspas.

Pros

One of the things I liked most about was the level of customizability within the platform. It allows practices to tailor workflows, memberships, forms, treatment packages, and client management systems to fit the specific needs of their business. The software is aesthetically geared toward medspas and wellness clinics, which makes it easier to organize services and streamline operations compared to more generalized EMR systems.

Cons

The biggest downside for me was the inventory system and the lack of more advanced real time communication features. Inventory management could be much more intuitive and refined, especially for clinics managing retail, injectables, and consumables at scale. I also wish the platform had stronger built in texting and automation capabilities similar to Zenoti, particularly for real-time communication, marketing automation, and client engagement workflows.

It has been great as a provider with documentation as well as booking clients. For the most part it is very easy to use, new updates are making it more streamline which we like.

Pros

I love the convenience aspect of everything being in one place for our clients EMR. It is easy to chart on as a provider.

Cons

I wish the "book now" appointments alerted us somehow and not just went in the "bell" at the top. If a pop up came up, it would be easier for us to see in real time.

The beginning was rocky but as it is releasing new features and meeting progress it seems to be coming together better

I like that new features are coming out more frequently to improve the overall ease of use. I am liking that e-gift cards are an option now as well

Cons

It would be helpful if there was a vitals page in the patients chart. The amount of clicks it takes in order to dig in a patients chart is still alot. It would be helpful if there was a reference page (vitals, medication, allergies)

### "Aesthetics Pro for Med Spas"

We use AP as our foundational platform at multiple med spas because it makes it simple to toggle from one to the other to view calendars, revenue, etc. Reporting is often frustrating to understand where some of the numbers are coming from and the occasional offline issues can be challenging - but overall, every platform has it's pros and cons so you need to pick your horse.

Pros

User interface is well designed and easy to get staff trained for basic functions like appointment making, editing, etc. Inventory control is user friendly. Many other platforms don't integrate charting and patient forms in the user friendly way AP does.

Cons

More complex features such as setting up packages and allocating product inventory used as part of a service are less intuitive and require help setting up. Also gift card feature needs a lot of work. Accurate Revenue/Performance reporting requires extensive (and expert) setup to provide real numbers.

Overall great product, I used it for ten years and would have continued if not for my retirement. You provided occasional upgrades as well.

Pros

Scheduling was easy and I liked being able to see who was confirmed, who had paid on the same screen. Also, our practice loved the ability to differentiate between quantity purchased and quantity used.

Cons

The reports section was a little cumbersome. I just could ask the sales report for "last month", one had to enter a start date and end date. Also printing from the reports was difficult. My main complaint was that you only had one credit card merchant option. I did not like World pay services, and asked more than once over the years if there was a second option.

So far I've been enjoying and all the touch points that they make to ensure the onboarding process is as smooth as can be with ongoing customer support.

Pros

I appreciate how straight forward and complex free is making it a faster and smoother process to schedule patients and have them be stress-free when it comes to filling out intake forms/consent forms.

Cons

So far I don't have a feature that I don't like the "least" however being able to add a tag to patient photos to then be able to be searched based on service type for marketing purposes would be amazing.

Has been a very positive experience, AP continues to improve their offerings and actually listen to the users,

Pros

Love the new Text and Book Now features! This alone will save me over $200 monthly allowing me to cancel my current texting vendor and improve my workflow.

Cons

Still need to integrate payment more methods like Worldpay + SWIPE. For a seamless user experience.

I have been a customer for nearly 2 years and I love it. Customer service is great and I love all the training videos.

Pros

I like that the system is easy to navigate and affordable. Keeping track of records, notes and photos is a great feature. Not to mention the all of the consent templates.

Cons

The biggest thing that I didn’t like was that there was no integration between the system and my website.

Pros

Sincere interest in helping with the transition and continued support through challenges. Really appreciate \[sensitive content hidden\] help with the ongoing onboarding process.

Cons

Forms. The pre-programmed forms need a lot of editing and there’s several standard med spa/wellness clinic services that don’t have forms.

I have truly had a positive experience so far, mostly with \[sensitive content hidden\] and the other staff who have assisted me in setting up my software.

Pros

\[sensitive content hidden\] genuinely cares about helping in every capacity that he can. I am very thankful he is my go-to at AP. It is hard to find true customer service these days however everyone that I have encountered with AP has been wonderful.

Cons

The setup has been a bit harder for me just because of a personal/time constraint. I understand no two medical aesthetics practices are the same so the process is necessary. They have provided the tools, it just requires a lot from me that I have not had time for. I would not let this discourage me from recommending to another provider looking for this service.

### "Save Yourself Time, Money & Frustration. "

\-10/5 stars. Outages & NUMEROUS scheduling issues that have caused me to work extra in off hours & on vacations to rectify — not to mention causing me to lose money due to frustrations on the clients end with booking appointments. Also HORRIBLE support & customer service — they either never have answers for you, or they have the nerve to blame you and say “the information is in your contract so you should have known” - nice way to be spoken to as a loyal customer of 5 years, always paying my bill on time without issue.

Pros

Would give negative stars if possible. Absolutely horrible software and terrible, greedy customer service practices. Constant bugs, outages, and scheduling issues that have caused me to lose money in my business due to clients being able to double book or even worse, schedule appointments during blocked off times that should not even be available. I have had many clients reach out expressing frustration that they can not complete booking an appointment due to errors they receive, or the pages simply not populating correctly for them to select services — again causing me to lose business as a small, sole proprietor business owner. I will constantly have issues and be told “we checked this issue and cannot replicate it” so there is absolutely no answers or resolve. I even had to call clients daily on my only vacation time, leaving the beach to go back to my hotel room, to contact clients that should not have been able to book appointments that they were able to book, and to try and get them rescheduled. This issue went on for 2 weeks. Mind you, they increased the monthly charge by $25 without any improvements or additional inclusions— in fact, the software was even worse! I have been charged for additional texts and marketing emails without any knowledge and was told that I should’ve reached out to my account manager to make sure there weren’t additional fees first. Not to mention the many outages & software bugs that would disrupt daily operations and would not allow me to access forms or complete payments with clients— thank God for Venmo in those scenarios— which looks completely unprofessional imo. Will be switching my software ASAP, never recommending this joke of a software. Invest in something better, even if it costs more— trust me. I’ve been a loyal customer for 5 years, never had a late payment and they’ve treated me so poorly like they couldn’t care less about my business or loyalty.

Cons

Scheduling issues. Software outages and bugs disrupting scheduling and payments. Losing money for my business. Customer service and never receiving answers for issues that occur.

### "Good but room to improve "

I have personally found it quite challenging to navigate simple tasks, and have experienced multiple glitches.

Pros

The integrations and price. I do think the reports are fairly accurate, but beyond that it pretty much suits my needs. All EHRS have their downfalls.

Cons

Having to create forms and consents. There should be a way to upload your own as it takes so much time and effort to toggle and type out your own to turn out the way you hope.

7 out of 10! We have had longevity ! I have seen effort and growth over the years to be more customizable.

Pros

We have been a client since the company's inception and have even helped create the initial charting and consultation tools. They have significantly improved the platform by adding options for us to create our own charting and patient records.

Cons

Cost, and also, there have been some marketing errors that have cost us money. It took time and many calls to try to fix the error, but we still chose to continue to use the platform.
