Pros: Very easy to use.
Supports uploading of all receipts at once via desktop and can choose from each receipt when adding each expense.
Great mobiles app to allow for adding expenses on the fly.

Cons: Sometimes not that easy to access old reports.
When filling in each expense there is no auto-population based on report, you need to re-enter many fields over and over.

Concur provides a quick and easy expensing solution, from an end user standpoint

Cons: - The layout can seem a bit overwhelming when you're entering a complex expense
- A few design elements could be better, as it can be confusing when you're trying to do things like copy a report

Pros: Concur is user friendly and has an easy to navigate User Interface for monthly expense reporting. My company has a lot of specific codes to use for our expenses and the software makes it easy to navigate. Concur also has a great tool to schedule your travel for business. You can schedule a flight, car rental, hotel stays, and check on the status of your flights in real time.

Cons: You have to frequently edit parameters, especially if you are looking for a specific flight. Additional training options would be beneficial to employers and employees.

Pros: Easy of use and flexibility to customize any expense report. The latitude we have as an organization to create any expense type is beneficial.

Cons: There is no functionality to add multiple expense reports to the same submission. Would be nice to separate expenses based on trips.

Overall: Ease on our payroll team and of tracking the expenses submitted.

Pros: My favorite part of the experience submitting expense reports it the tracking information that we get when the report is in various states. I get a notification when my submission has been approved by my boss, reassigned to our account team for payment, and when I get paid. So I know exactly what's going on with my expenses without having to bother people.

Cons: I have no complaints from an end-user perspective. In my entire time using the software, I've only encountered issues one time with uploading receipts, and that was a reported site issue that was resolved quickly.

Overall: Simplified submission of expense reports and better visibility into the reimbursement process.

Pros: Using the app was amazing and saved so much time. Filing expense reports are never fun and is always time consuming. However, with the app I was able to file the receipts away as soon as I took a picture. Booking flights was also super easy.

Cons: Sometimes it is restrictive on what you can write or how you categorize a expense is not intuitive. re-booking of any flights needs to be done via phone

Pros: The mobile app is strong. It has all the features that you need to capture your receipts on the go. Gone are the days of sifting through receipts when you are at your desk. Just snap it and go and expense later.

Cons: The reports are just a pain. Expensing is a pain, but in a software I would really like to see credit card scanning and automatic reporting. At least have it guess and check manually if it was correct.

Overall: Streamlined business expenses, capturing receipts on the go, and maintaining clean accounting for our small business.

I use Concur at least once monthly for the past 5+ years.

Pros: It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. I had to create step by step instructions for staff because it was always very overwhelming for them in the beginning. The mobile app is easier to use than the desktop version; for some reason some functions of it are easier to navigate on the app.

Cons: The desktop application somehow is not as easy to maneuver as the mobile app. When adding receipts, the desktop app can be a bit finicky. Takes a little used to navigating around the entire system but in general it has good functionality.

Overall: Mobile app is very convenient especially for those who travel extensively and need to submit receipts instantaneously.

Pros: The only positive to come from this software will be the relief of finally having the "free trial" canceled.

Cons: The software itself is subpar and feels clunky. The on-boarding process will consume a week of your life and good luck if you ever try to cancel your "free trial." Dozens of emails and phone calls later, and we're still trying to fix the mess they've caused. Stay far, far away.

Pros: I've been using Concur for a long time and when Concur works, it works well. The app is convenient when you're traveling, and I've never had any major issues.

Cons: But it often crashes or freezes mid-use, which can be frustrating. They don't change their interface often, which is nice, but it's also a little outdated. I also don't feel like anything really great stands out with Concur. It works, but there's nothing spectacular about it.

Comments: This is the kind of tool that any organization needs to handle effectively their personnel expenses related with the daily operations.

Pros: The easily way that we have to manage all financial information about our current operation, locally and overseas.

Cons: It is not simple to charge the information at the beginning. The process is detailed and you need to know all the concept that you organizations handle to represent any type of operations & senses.

Pros: I can scan a receipt and add a quick expense. I like it's ability to move expenses to various reports.

Cons: Travel portion is very outdated. Limitations for my corporate concur. Can only book self cannot book more than one person. Searching for flights is slow and is limited. If you want to know best fare by airport be prepared to search many scenarios many times. Travel agency may be better for this

It's pricey but it's certainly effective and useful

Pros: It ties into AMEX and you can use it for so many features to clean up excel expense reports and other time consuming tasks.

Cons: It exports to CSV files and I really prefer a proper integration to accounting softwares which is why I went with Nexonia.

Pros: I worked at a large organization where we had to turn in expenses by spreadsheet/email. Was so clunky and had so many mistakes. Switched to a new organization using concur and was amazed at how simple the process could be.
Sync between phone app and cloud desktop app is great - sometimes I'm out and need a picture with my phone and others I need to upload a file.
I like uploading in real-time during the month rather than waiting until the end of the month to hunt down and submit receipts.

Cons: Not many cons - the phone app is a bit more limited than the desktop - can't enter a new vehicle for mileage for example.

Overall: Easy, simple expense submissions.

Pros: My company has us use this to submit expense reports. I've always had a fast turn-around which is a major concern when it comes to reimbursement.

Cons: There are a lot of categories for expense types and it can get confusing. A better search function might help.

Pros: I definitely like that you can just take a picture of your receipt with your phone and it goes right to your expense account.

Cons: Some of the features are automated. I wish that I could have more control over whether something is allocated in certain ways.

Pros: The app is light and quick to load. It is simple and friendly to use, it covers my trips, mileage, company expenses. It does what it is supposed to do.

Comments: It's very easy to use and implement and I recommend this highly.

Pros: This makes doing your expenses super easily, anytime you get a receipt just take a picture and the app will auto fill in all the information for you, one of the most aggravating things is having to manually input all the information and this does it for you. It's also smart enough to populate all the necessary fields so that all you have to do is write in simple notes and send in for approval or approve yourself.

Cons: It's not perfect and can't always read your receipts to which you then have to manually input, it's hard to call this a con though is this is not a software or hardware problem so much as even the human eye can't read a receipt that has lost it's ink.

Pros: Simple to use. Automatically imports expenses from registered credit cards. Easy to use mobile app makes doing expense reports while traveling very easy.

Cons: Learning to itemize expenses properly took a couple of tries. This may be specific to our company and not a software issue. Overall, not many "cons" to report.

Cons: We were told by the Concur sales agent we would be able to pull the credit card data into our accounting software, SAP. After signing up with Concur, we could not get their tech support to help us with the integration. We were told that it is possible to get the data but there was not a current "plug in" to do so. When we told them to stop charging our account until this was resolved, we continued to receive monthly charges. We requested the charges to be refunded, but they said we were outside of our 90 day window and this was not possible.

Concur, which is owned by SAP, is a company to avoid. Their sales and tech support are not aligned in what is possible and they do not own up to their inabilities. I reached out to another sales rep, he assured me he would be able to get this resolved for us. I never heard back from him.

Pros: features a great mobile app to upload expenses on the go and has a super easy interface that's easy to understand and setup.

Cons: Sometimes it's difficult to make changes to a pending or submitted report for expenses. A lot of the changes in your profile and changes made to a report have to go through multiple people. This might be a function of the way our company has it set up and not the software itself.

Comments: Overall, I think Concur provides several benefits to stream-lining your business expense reimbursement process. I feel as though I'm not aware of all of its capabilities when it comes to expense processing. Although some features seem redundant and confusing, I feel more training on the software may open up more avenues within the system to make our expense reimbursement process more efficient.

Pros: Concur has an easy login process and a relative simple, easy expense upload feature. For travel (mileage) reimbursement, it has a handy map feature to automatically calculate the miles driven based on the route you have taken.

Cons: I find the system a bit confusing to navigate. Some steps seem redundant. When submitting expenses, it is confusing because it's hard to tell if you need to submit a new expense report for each type of expense incurred in one trip (mileage, tolls, meals, etc.). I find the icons a bit small and hard to navigate through.

Pros: YOu can take a picture of your receipt and the OCR Program can fill out the majority of information on your expense report

Cons: I had a difficult time with connecting to my bank account to bring in proof of payment. Customer support was not able to give me a proper solution so I gave up and had many delays in getting my expenses paid for as I had to do more manual effort outside our process to get reimbursed.

The latest version of Concur is extremely function and easy to use, especially via an Ipad.

Pros: Ease of use. Very simple to follow. The most recent upgrades have fixed many old issues and functionality via Ipad is not preferred versus PC. Very nice improvement.

Cons: Camera views for taking pictures of receipts are sometimes an issue (wont find correct orientation). Not much of an issue though.

Overall: Much easier to complete expense reports via ipad. Much more functional.

Pros: It is very easy to use Concur to manage expenses. I use it to create expense reports for when I travel, and also have team members that submit travel and purchase expense reports for approval to me through Concur. I find it very easy to get to what is needed, create reports, import receipt photos and categorize purchases.

Cons: I don't really have anything I don't like, but if I had to ask for one improvement it would be the speed at which the site operates. I use Concur through their web interface, and it can be sluggish at times clicking from one item to the next. It is not so slow as to be a problem, but a bit more speed would be helpful.

Overall: Able to quickly and easily manage expense reporting for me and my team.

Pros: Easy to record expenses while traveling - especially the ones that are easy to forget, like paying cash for a taxi.

Cons: I little hard to navigate and sometimes it doesn't load all of my trip information. Also if I cancel a trip, it doesn't update everythin in TripIt.

Pros: Extremely easy to use, intuitive. The mobile app enables you to take pictures of your receipts so you never lose them. Booking trips is a breeze and you cant book your entire trip in one place. Additionally, it plugs in seamless with many apps like Uber.

Cons: I can't think of any issues that I've had with this software. I've used in my last 3 organizations and it's a standard in my eyes.

Pros: Very easy to use. Alerts users of anything they are missing before submitting. Saves time when searching for receipt since they are linked to each transactions.

Cons: Frequent glitches in connection between the trip it app and concur when using together. Some times the images stored from trip it don't show up in concur or it multiplies transactions.

Overall: A neat and organized expense reporting solutions.

Pros: It has many capabilities, probably too many, but they cover the whole range of needs of many corporations.

Cons: The number of clicks required to complete a report is annoying. A Concur Lite version that only has the features that you use repeatedly, with auto-comple or cut-and-paste capabilities, would be a great addition to the suite.

Overall: Expense management and cost control are two activities that benefitted tremendously from this software.

Pros: Gone are the days of arduous expense reporting; I can often knock mine out in 10 minutes flat! It's dead simple to select the month's expenses, match them up with receipt images, enter a bit of information as required by your organization, then submit. The process is even easier if you use ExpenseIt mobile app to take photos of receipts and enter supporting data on the fly - these import seamlessly to Concur and merge usually perfectly with the expenses. Very useful software!

Cons: Companies can create expense rules for various expenditures, and expenses that don't meet the criteria generate exceptions. However, when I create expense reports, I cannot see any of the exceptions until AFTER submitting the report. It would be useful if there were a "pre-check" to view and resolve the issues before submission.

Pros: Software syncs with my smart phone and App. I can take a picture of the receipt using my phone and the image is matched up with my expense report.

Cons: The initial month took some adjusting to. After minor changes were made to the software it has continued to work well

Overall: Faster and easier T & E expense reporting

Pros: Ease of use. The sort and find functions are very easy as well as the capability to audit. Customer support is excellent with questions and resolving problems

Cons: Outages are challenging and get our salesforce (which is our main base of users) in an extreme uproar. Also when processing an item, the screen colors are very vague to me and I am not sure if I have selected the correct line item.

Overall: improved expense report processing, improved turn around time, ease of use.

Pros: Easy to use, has good mileage tracker, and allows me to edit a lot. Easy to submit for approval and pays out within a couple business days.

Cons: Sometimes the mileage tracker is a little finicky. Besides that, the program works awesome, and would recommend to anyone.

I am an admin for our organization on Concur Expense, but use it for my credit card purchases.

Pros: The fact that, while at lunch, I can use the Expense It app to scan my receipt and that expense will match up with my credit card feed is awesome.

Cons: A small issue is that expense reports are monthly (April, May, June), but my credit card periods do not follow a calendar month causes some confusion in places expenses into the correct report.

Overall: More efficiency in the processing of business expenses.

Concur Expense has made it easier for my employees to process credit cards.

Pros: It is very easy to use. It has made our approval process flow smoother, and ensures every expense report is approved before downloading file.

Cons: The ExpenseIt capture is only 88% effective, so receipts sometimes do not get matched correctly, so there is double purchases in the expense report.

Pros: Concur is easy to use; for those employees who use our corporate AMEX card and the travel booking within Concur, the expense report practically writes itself. I love the reporting features, and I am able to bring all the transactions into our data base each month to keep our expenses up to date.

Cons: The response time from the billing department; we had a billing issue on an invoice and it is taking an inordinate amount of time for a response.

Overall: Time savings; cost savings, especially in airfare and hotel bookings; employee compliance

Pros: I am primarily an end-user on this software. I like how thorough it is, even though it can get rather technical.

Cons: I needed very clear instructions on how to meet our companies procedures for entering both expenses as well as Purchase Orders - It took me a couple times to get the hang of it, but once I got it, I am doing well with it.

Overall: better management of invoices and expenses

This is a very complete expense tracking software that is suitable for large organizations.

Pros: Very complete software. Covers just about every accounting possibility and detail that you will face. It simplifies reporting and approval processes.

Cons: In cases where you make the same, or very similar, expenses repeatedly this software lacks the "copy and paste". On the one hand, this is a feature that forces the user to give details on each and every expenditure; on the other hand, there are many cases where you are incurring the same expense over and over again.

Overall: Great software if you want to capture utmost detail. Not so good for basic or repetitive transactions.

Pros: I like the way my expense report gets auto populated with my company card transactions. Really useful feature

One stop place for booking air tickets, hotel, car and expensing them.

Love the expense app. Hassle free!

Cons: Bunches up personal transactions sometimes. Will be awesome if it can identify official vs personal or gives an option to do so.

Pros: mobile app is a good part. I dont have to carry the receipt . Online submitting to the expense center and auto field option are second best feature that I love.

Pros: Web login and mobile app make it convenient. It's accessible to all our users and fairly easy to use.

Cons: Sometimes uploading receipts don't always go through so I need to download the picture of the receipt and upload it online which makes it a little cumbersome.

Pros: It's really easy to use. Even if you've never used it before, you can go right in and label all of your expenses to be reimbursed in a timely fashion.

Cons: It doesn't update automatically when an approver's status changes, I guess that may be a problem with the department that manages it but I'm not sure.

Pros: It has a relatively user-friendly mobile interface. The software works well most of the time and does the job of recording and organizing expenses.

Cons: Not nearly as intuitive, clean, or efficient as Expensify. Having more features, like the ability to scan receipts or auto-populate fields based on previous entries would help immensely.

Pros: save and continue format. Multiple reports ongoing at once. Review of previous reports submitted. Communication updates when review is "processed" then "paid"

Cons: picture upload of receipt is several steps > than other programs. Good customization, and therefore many steps involved with one report. Challenging for report gen and submit in < 30 seconds.

Pros: Paperless processing of AP. The ability to have a paperless approval flow and an organized way to process, review, and pull AP files.

Cons: Time lag between approval of AP and remittance of check or ACH. Lack of features/options. It seems like Invoice is new for Concur and still being improved.

I use concur to submit and track travel expenses. Great Application and very easy to use.

Pros: I like that they have a mobile app that is user friendly and allows me to capture receipts from my travel expenses daily

Cons: It requires me to have a password. I understand why but still not a big fan. Beyond that no other complaints about it

Overall: Simplification of the expense process. Improved employee satisfaction due to less issues with reimbursing.

Pros: It does everything (almost). You have a lot of room for personalization with Concur -- it's not just one size fits all like most of the expense software out there. Overall, I think you get more for your money and better control and oversight of your employees spending.

Cons: Cost -- with the added features comes added cost. I don't love their pricing structure, but this is only our second month, so we will see how it goes.

Pros: The tool is easy for users to use and it's straight forward. Most questions can be answered on the users own even if they're only a little savvy with tech tools. Admins that are above the standard platform will need to KNOW how the tool works.

Cons: Terrible support and setup of this tool. Depending on the company size, you may need to dedicate a person to admin this tool. I feel like we're under utilizing some of the features it comes with, but that's because we don't have a dedicated person who knows Concur yet.

Pros: I like the feature to add photos directly to an expense. I also like that I can send emails with expense details directly to concur.

Cons: I wish expenses showed more quickly after a purchase. There are many categories to classify expenses and I wish I could save "favorites" or "frequently used" classifications for reference.

Cons: This is one of the most cumbersome and difficult to use pieces of software I've ever encountered. I use 20+ apps every day for my job and this is the worst experiences I've ever had. Nothing works as described. All other expense apps I've tried are better. Don't frustrate yourself or your team with this unusable product. Expense used to happen in real time and now its a 3+ hour ordeal to submit anything.

Overall: There are no benefits besides user frustration. You will scream at your phone/computer and pull your harid out trying to use this tool.

Comments: My employer uses Concur for handling employee expenses. It's been a nearly painless experience. The only issues that I've seen so far are that if an employee submits an expense report without first supplying bank account information, the report can get "hung". It seems that there isn't a way to resubmit a report for payment if payment wasn't able to be processed due to missing bank account information. The only other issue is around categories of expenses. We have multiple locations, and they all have similar categories. The interface saves most recent categories, but if you have expenses for multiple locations under the same category, there's no way to tell them apart in the recent list. This could simply be an issue with how my company names categories, but I can see where you'd want to have the categories be named the same across locations for reporting purposes.

Pros: Multiple platforms can be used - allowing the diligent to capture photos on their phones right when generated - at the airport Starbucks, for instance.

Cons: The ideal platform is a tablet - it can take pictures and you quickly pull it out and work while waiting to board, etc., but I experienced a showstopping bug that required me to use my PC to finish reports. The bug was that the city lists and currency lists were invisible on the iPAD. Never figured out why; too late now as no longer with that company.

Overall: I have used Concur at various positions for 10 years. For those of us that remember taping receipts to letter paper, copying it (no way can you use the auto-feeder without a jam) and submitting it with the most tortuous user-unfriendly spreadsheet that accounting could think up, Concur is the answer to our foxhole prayers. What used to take hours can take only a few minutes, other than the inevitable missing receipt (which is our fault, not the programs.)

Recommendations to other buyers: Expenses are easiest when you do them as you go - take advantage of the mobile apps to make tracking your expenses painless.

Comments: I've used this in a number of large companies and the system is reliable and works very efficiently. Their Expensit feature which lets you upload direct receipts to get analyzed is a time saver.

Pros: Expenseit allows receipts to be uploaded raw and it reviews them and saves data entry time. They have a great workflow engine customizeable to various policies.

Comments: Concur has various features around travel booking and expense management. It's app is easy to use and allows you quickly manage and approve expenses. I wish the receipt part didn't just use the camera but actually focused on the receipt so that you can blur out the background and just have the receipt captured. Reviewing receipts for each expense can also be tedious so enhancements in that area would be good. Otherwise a really good product.

Comments: I have used many expenses tools and so far Concur expenses has the best interface and smoothest user experience. the interface itself looks a little outdated (could be our version), but it works great and is easy to shoot through my expenses quickly and easily

Comments: I have not had a bad experience with Concur and I use it at least once per week. Flows well and very clear in regards to what needs to be completed to finalize the reports for myself and my employees.

Comments: The mobile app is beyond easy. It makes expensing a breeze to just be able to snap a photo of a receipt, fill in a few pieces of info, and you're set. When our company started using this for expense reporting it was a game changer.

Pros: Syncs with corporate cards and allows for the team to easily manage their expenses.

Cons: Integration could be stronger, both to QuickBooks and the "Travel" component of their product, which is run through TripIt

Overall: Trying to create order from chaos with your expense management process? Concur MAY be your solution. If you are looking to get a hold of your expense management process and have a very well structured idea of how to do it (i.e. you have a well-defined chart of accounts, have policies in place for expense reimbursement, and have an approval process) then Concur is your solution. However, it's a bit lacking for the company trying to create structure in this area, as it doesn't have sufficient documentation on the setup, what decisions need to be made, and the impact of those decisions. It took nearly a year to get all of that adequately set up, and ultimately we have a stronger platform for it, but the guidance to get there was very self-directed.

Recommendations to other buyers: Go through the trial 3-6 months before implementing this. Log all of the policies and practices that you'd need to build and then come at it "ready to go".
