A perfect sofware for virtualization, multi-operating system integration. Good software.

The software is easy to use, it enables me to run multiple operating systems on my computer and also help me to try and test softwares before I buy them.

### "Stable Hypervisor Control"

April 2, 2022

5.0

Having an option to control a large number of virtual server, makes this server a great tool to work with.

Pros

This additional server helps integrate all your esxi server from Vmware, and offers additional features that make this system one of the most chosen in an IT environment. Multiple server management is its major task.

Cons

The only option to use this solution is to have on an additional hardware.

Reason for choosing vSphere

Many texts and presentations read before acquiring the product.

### "The best virtual platform our there"

July 20, 2017

5.0

You gain benefits from virtualizing equipment to free up space, reduce costs and have the ability to maintain multiple environments in a centralized location.

Pros

VMware Horizon is my go to for all my virtual environment needs. Compatibility with older and newer equipment is never an issue. Building complete virtual desktops and servers with ease. Testing different desktop and server enviornments.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about this software, but if I had to choose an option. It would be that it does take some time to become familiar with working in different virtual environments.

### "Management of VMs the easy way"

September 20, 2019

5.0

We have a farm of several hundred VM's, and vSphere is the best tool for the job.

Pros

Need to make changes on the fly? vSphere makes it easy. Monitoring server performance? That's a snap. So user friendly, if someone teaches you how to use the software, 10 minutes later you can teach someone else. Deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning are also a breeze.

Cons

I didn't personally have any problems with the software, but I understand during an upgrade there were issues that required a call to support. That's why they have support, though, so not really a big issue.

### "A great tool for managing virtual servers"

May 4, 2018

5.0

We can manage and build more servers on less hardware, making us much more effective.

Pros

I like the ability to be able to clone machines quickly and take snapshots of servers to be able to roll changes back if required.

Cons

While I like that they have the option of a web interface, I don't like that they are forcing users off of the thick-client application to use the web-based product. I have enough issues with browsers and web applications and it seems like all of the issues we have are with the web version of this product.

### "Great foundation for ever growing virtualization stack"

March 16, 2021

4.0

The whole product I'm managing is running on top of VMware based telco cloud, and at its roots stands VMware vSphere. I'm happy with the resilience, stability and documentation of vSphere and can sleep my nights very well.

Pros

VMware vSphere is a foundation product in the product portfolio of VMware virtualization tools. By adding additional VMware products on top of it, you could build as far as having a hyperscalable public cloud service up and running if you so wanted. Sky is the limit with these tools. vSphere stands on its own with a huge set of features for running and managing virtual machines already in itself.

Cons

Trial licensing can be confusing and the fact that end of the trial disables features could be catastrophic to some deployments.

Reason for choosing vSphere

Best fit to the need of running something mature on-premises as a telco.

### "Amazing and simple to use."

January 31, 2019

5.0

While setting up this software I had questions and was able to quickly and easily reach out to their support team for assistance.

Pros

I was a first time user to setting up a host and virtual servers. This application made the process simple and easy to complete. I was able to intuitively setup the needed items.

Cons

There isn't much about this software that I don't like. The setup and management of it was very easy and I'd recommend it to those looking to setup a server in a virtual environment that are looking for remote access.

### "Vmware Review"

May 23, 2019

5.0

vmware is our main virtual management system. Working performance is good and features too. Host machine installation is easy. Web GUI working good and working on all browsers. I like the Web GUI Can be managed from any web browser. Role management is a bit confused but successful. Many policies can be defined on it. In this way, risky machines can be kept on different hosts.

Pros

The service supoort is very wide. Policy's are very useful. Installation isn't difficult. Web GUI is working good.

Cons

Role management is a little bit confusing.

Reason for choosing vSphere

Vmware is better than Hyper-V. Hyper-V need more experience in market.

### "One of the best virtual server hosting environments I have used."

April 17, 2018

5.0

Pros

I have used this in the past, meaning a few month ago, and I like that it reduced and simplified the IT Infrastructure at my current company. It allowed us to manage the infrastructure in a dynamic and simple way connecting through it's different clients. Being able to create a server in less than 10 minutes was amazing.

Cons

The price of a paid solution is a bit high, but is also expected since the world is going to the cloud. To implement you need aggressive hardware to support it but once again, that is a given as well. The better the hardware the better the software runs. The licensing models can be confusing and you need to have an understanding of your business needs.

### "Best of server virtualization"

October 10, 2018

5.0

If they solve flash web client performance problems or publish fully-functional html5 client everything will be perfect.

Pros

VMware vSphere ultra stable, scalable and compatible. If you are looking for server virtualization software you must to select VMware

Cons

After vSphere 6.5 you can only manage your environment with web client. You have 2 option flash and html5. Flash web client has very bad performance, sometimes crash your browser, freeze etc. problems, other hang HTML5 client is not fully functional yet. HTML5 development process very slow.

### "VMware vSphere"

July 5, 2019

4.0

Pros

This is the # 1 product for server virtualization in the market, they have set the de facto standard throughout the industry. From the Server room all the way up to the Private\\Hybrid\\Public cloud, this is the product that leads the way. So if you currently have 3 - 5 servers running your company, all can be run and managed from one single server, along with storage.

Cons

You will have a learning curve to get up to speed, but a lot of help can be found because of the product strong market presents.

### "A Gold Standard of Virtualization"

April 5, 2019

5.0

Saves a lot of space when it comes to hardware arrangements, along-with the portability and efficient migration of services.

Pros

vSphere allows simple and dynamic management of the IT infrastructure. A web client is available for all centralized administrative tasks; creating VMs and interchanging them among clusters per requirement has never been easier!

Cons

Licensing issues may arise with a lack of proper requirement analysis, leading to unsatisfactory costs on performance and features.

### "An excellent free solution for virtualization"

November 26, 2018

4.0

A great help: when there is a limitation of hardware and the investment is compromised. Use this hypervisor for Server or computers Virtualization

Pros

Following the steps suggested by the website, the installation works well, the user interface is simple but complete. This software uses static IP for the host and supports IPv4 and 6. For me a big help: the free license can be configured as permanently. You can virtualize on a Windows or Linux platform and take advantage of old programs that do not run on new systems.

Cons

I think it's very easy to use software for IT staff, I can't say the same for non-IT users. However, I have no comments, this software fulfills its function

### "Best Virtualization Solution"

April 26, 2019

5.0

Your budget is not high, you have license distress and if you are a small company you can choose HyperV. If you have Business Critic business processes and Business Continuity is important to me, you have to use vMware.

Pros

If you are going to use virtualization in your environment, the main reasons for choosing vMware are; First of all, no windows based, small disk foot print, resource management and security features make this product indispensable.

Cons

vMware's virtualization solution is more expensive than Microsoft, unfortunately.

### "vSphere"

June 24, 2019

4.0

vSphere helps to successfully manage simple to highly complex ESX cluster environments providing a rich set functions which address the most important ESX cluster management use cases.

Pros

vSphere presents a powerful and intuitively access visual user interface which allows an easy organization of complicated tasks and monitoring capabilities for the ESX cluster environment. The visual user interface is organized as a hierarchy which allows for "drill down" scenarios to get information starting at the highest level, the ESX cluster.

Cons

The vSphere software currently lacks a powerful capability for monitoring different metrics pertaining to disk utilization levels .

### "Vmware vSphere"

September 24, 2019

4.0

Reason for choosing vSphere

Il reste le plus performant des hyperviseurs pour la virtualisation.

### "My preferred option for virtualization"

February 14, 2019

5.0

It is our preferred tool when it comes to virtualisation and we used in our data centre.

Pros

At the moment probably the reliable product out there, having a very good knowledge base available on the web and easy to use. Free for standalone hosts if certain features like CBT are not required for backups.

Cons

There is nothing I can fault VMware for, just recently we had a couple of purple screen but I reckon this have been hardware related events.

### "vSphere 6.5 it's Phenomenal"

January 16, 2018

5.0

Pros

Pros: vSphere Web Client and HTML5 vSphere Client now. I hated the old C# client, I really really hated. Now that's in the past. It's easier to use and manage. The management tools are improved . The Auto Deploy feature has a new GUI. Solid performance after so many years. This software is still the leader.

Cons

I haven't see any benchmark comparing performance of VM moving to ESXi 6.5 from 5.5 . That would be nice to see. However, the product is superb.

Pros

Easy to manage, easy to set up and a lot of features and customization can go into a ritualized environment.

Cons

Interface could be better. Not a fan of the newer browser based GUI. Strange glitches on machines from time to time.
