### "Great remote desktop software for IT"

Saves a lot of time by remotely setting someone up/fixing an issue rather than explaining over the phone.

Pros

We repair computers and have used Instant Housecall for over a decade. It is invaluable for assisting our customers. It is also great for unattended access to servers.

Cons

I don't have any cons other than it's not free but who would write software this good for free?

I couldn't live without it now.

Pros

IHC is my go-to software for review troubleshooting, diagnostics and repair. I've used it to assist in performing full installations of Windows as well as normal cleaning and updating.

Cons

Occasional hiccups connecting to Macs, but always sufficient to start troubleshooting.

I'm able to provide better, more timely service to my clients as a result of using Instant Housecall. And they appreciate the improved accessibility to me that they have as a result of this program. On those rare occasions when I've needed support, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has always taken excellent care of me and led me to a swift resolution.

Pros

Instant Housecall has eliminated my need to be on-site at the client's location in at least 90% of my service and troubleshooting calls. And by being so easily accessible, I can solve "simple" problems and demonstrate solutions that would have gone unasked and unanswered previously because they wouldn't have justified an on-site service call. Unlike some other remot-support software I've used in the past, there is never a problem talking a first-time user through the setup process. My clients love the program almost as much as I do!

Cons

On rare occasions the Unattended Access doesn't connect, indicating "Customer is offline," even though the remote computer is up and running. A more descriptive explanation would be helpful, ideally with some troubleshooting procedure.

### "Makes remote access for my IT guy a breeze!"

I work remotely and I use my computer six days a week. I can't afford to drop my computer off at a repair place with no guarantee of when they'll get to it. Instant Housecall allows my IT guy to remotely access my computer and troubleshoot any issues quickly and easily. I didn't have to install anything on my end; just click on a link provided via email by my IT guy and Instant Housecall took care of the rest. It even left a little icon on my desktop so whenever I am having issues, my IT guy is literally one click away. Many people use TeamViewer for remote access to computers and I think TeamViewer is great for normal business interactions. Instant Housecall sets itself apart as the best tool for remote technical support. It offers tons of features for IT businesses. My IT guy can remotely run files, reboot my computer in safe mode, he has even completely reformatted my hard drive once remotely. We can live chat when necessary. If the connection is lost with my IT guy, Instant Housecall automatically reconnects without any action on my part. I can't say enough good about Instant Housecall!

Pros

No installation necessary. Easy to connect with my IT guy and get help when needed.

Cons

I have not experienced any issues with Instant Housecall in 10 years of using it with my IT guy.

Pros

I call this software the Swiss knife that every computer repair or helpdesk should use. I have been using Instant Housecall since 2006. I could not run my computer repair business without it. First, it’s very easy for your clients to remotely and securely connect you without huge hassle. It’s very easy to install. Second, it offers lots of useful tools that are built in for the technician. The company listen to requests and Applies them if the demand is there. In addition, it is very easy to get a hold of customer service. Highly recommended!!!

We use this software daily to diagnose and repair customer's computers. It is easy to set up on customers machines, offers all the functionality we need and most importantly works when we need it. Product support is great.

Cons

Devs don't mail me doughnuts. I can't think of anything I don't like.

I have been a user of instant house call for a number of years now. I work in the IT field and I can say hands down. its the best remote support tool, having tried a lot of other vendor products. Solid software. Reboot and reconnect features, unattended access,built in tech toolkit. Email support is fast with no problems. Software is downloaded from a portal and installed on customer machine for instant support. Tablet mode available for Windows tablets and Mac support. I cannot fault the product as it just works. I am happy to be a customer of instant house and I won't be changing products any time soon. Instant house call is a much better option than TeamViewer in my honest opinion and is the best remote support tool on the market. Period!!!

Pros

Reboot and reconnect features. Unattended access. Built in toolkit for servicing. Never lets me down.

Cons

I have not faced any issues with support services.

Their support for Mac is terrible. They don't have a normal .dmg for Specialist software, and their email support is awful. Been using them for years until the Mac thing became an issue, and there are cheaper programs out there.

This product is an excellent addition to the computer tech's "bag of tricks". You do not need to install the software on the customer end to run the program. The software has the ability to run auto repair which is virtually hands free and can even be set up for use with no attendance on the guest system. There are a bunch of utilities that you can run from scanning for malware, to tweaking your system all remotely. The one click automation makes it very easy to run a set of utilities to repair some of the most common issues. The website overs a free trial so that you can get a feel for the interface. They also offer product branding, detailed reports and online or in application client billing. Head over to their website and you can see a sample of what this software can do for your business.

Pros

Very easy to use and no install needed. Remote access that is quick and completes the task quickly with no system delay.

Cons

There are similar products such as this one that might be more cost effective for small businesses.
