Pros: I love the mobile responsive design. It makes is super easy for both administrators and church members to engage on their phone, tablets or laptops. The mobile app is also much better than what we've seen anywhere else.

Cons: Much of TouchPoint is geared toward engaging church membership and prospective members. The tool is powerful, so there is a learning curve.

Overall: Membership engagement

Pros: The options for tracking useful information and the way we can customize the information that is important to us. It helps us to measure what we value rather than what is generally valued by the software.

Cons: The setup process requires a lot of time, but I don't know if there is anything that could realistically be done to make it easier. That's just part of the process.

Haven't had it long enough to really review, but navigating can be tricky. Like the features though

Pros: It has automatic emails that go out to new guests depending on what setting you have. You could have it send it after one visit or after two. You can track data much better than fellowship one.

Cons: The check in software for kids requires touch screen monitors which can be tricky to use if you already use laptops.

Our transition to TP has been very challenging. We feel the TP was not prepared to meet our needs.

Pros: Manual entry of bundles including splits seems to be faster than our old system, but we do still have some issues with this process that have been voiced with no resolution to date.

Cons: Overall the finance side of TP has been very disappointing! The financial reports are not user friendly. The excel downloads contain a lot of information that we don't need for our general ledger postings and thus it requires a lot of excel work to get the report in a format that we can use. And most recently we have had issues arise where reports were not able to be generated correctly by TP software. This causes us to question the overall accuracy of the software. Also, we are learning that our terminology differs greatly than TP terminology. This makes electronic communication almost impossible! We would appreciate some of our issues handled with a quick phone call instead of the multiple messages back and forth. When we have been able to have phone conversations only one TP individual has ever followed through with our issues at hand and gotten back with us via conference calls.

Overall: Not any as of yet!

To date, I have only used Touchpoint for 2 months, for recording donations to the church.

Pros: So far, I can see that it works well to record donations and produce a couple of useful reports. That's all I've used it for so far. I will need to produce a variety of reports in the coming year and I'm hoping it will work well for that.

Cons: I don't like that I have to use a minus sign before entering the envelope number for donation data entry. The person ID is useless to me and I would prefer to be able to enter the envelope number instead. I don't like that I have to tab through a total of 7 fields in order to enter data in the 3 fields that are relevant to me. I would like to be able to disable the irrelevant fields.

Pros: The software is extremely user friendly and acts as an interface for the entire office even when some staff members are out on visitation, vacation, hospital duty.... It is very helpful in keeping track of accurate demographics and statistics for our church not only on a member informational level, but also in a financial sense as well. The ability to also accept credit/debit card transactions easily through a simple link on our website has increased contributions, tithes, and offerings by quite a bit. TouchPoint also allows our pastors to know who has visited with whom and also for our senior pastor to assign tasks to associate pastors; effectively delegating tasks and visits across the entire pastoral staff. As the financial secretary, I utilize the Touch Point software for keeping up with contribution records as well as yearly capital pledge campaigns. The software has the ability to compile financial data and run easy reports. Over all, I love the "user friendliness" of the software. It seems to be designed along the lines of some popular social media forums and it is extremely easy to navigate. Over all, the software gets an A from Woodlawn Baptist Church.

Cons: The mobile app that coincides with the software is not as user friendly for either internal staff or members. The app is easy to find and download on any app store; however, once the app is downloaded and log in occurs, it is very limited on the functionality. Our pastors utilize the mobile app to pull up address information for members when they are out on visitation; however, they are not able to input information regarding their visit on the app. It has been mentioned several times that it would make the software/system much more attractive if they were to access and update information within the mobile app instead of waiting until the end of their visit/day when they are sitting back at their desks, in front of a computer to input all of the necessary information that they would like to include about the visitation/events of the day and to pass on that information to the rest of the staff.

The response time I received on my customer support request was great - especially for email.

Pros: I like the versatility of this software as well as how modern and function it is. I think the accessibility of it is a plus.

Pros: Being web based it is very easy to access information from anywhere. The tech support has been good. I like all the help articles that will lead you to a possible solution.

Cons: We have to learn a new "lingo" to be able to build searches. Building searches for reports that were basic on the previous program has been challenging. We use the check in process for children and I would like to see a one time visitor option. I don't like that it adds children who are here visiting family as a prospect when they are only here for the one day. This messes up the prospect report since they are not true prospects.

Pros: Gone are the days of each department (sometimes poorly) maintaining their own contact databases. Gone are the days of looking up a member of the congregation to find 6 addresses with no clue which one (if any) is current. We're now, quite literally, all on the same page as a church staff when it comes to information about our members and guests.

Cons: Change is hard. And when you've been using the same (broken) system for 15-20 years, it's especially difficult. We've had some growing pains, but they will soon be worth it in the end.

Pros: Love the ability to quickly look up and retrieve information from my mobile device. There are often times I need an address or phone number to quickly connect with people.

Cons: You have to get names right. Sometimes just being off slightly will return no results. Wish there was a similar to type result.

Overall: Names, addresses, and other personal info. All help the church to give better service to those who attend our fellowship.

Pros: Works good and offers practical use for ministry. Once you get the hang of certain functions of the software it offers many practical options for ministry, such as email your ministry area or Sunday school class.

Cons: Not easily grasp. No phone support, which I really liked from ACS software. I have gotten good email support but it has sometimes been difficult to make it work from what has been suggested. That is the reason for phone support, plus they help you get it right then at that moment without wasting so much extra time trying to figure out how to use the software. This is my biggest con-no telephone support. Spend way too much time trying to figure out how to use the software. This has been a hard learning curve.

Overall: It is the software the pastor chose. It offers a lot of good benefits but we have not received much training and the learning curve is big to get the most out of the software. I use it around 1-2 hours a day, which could be cut if I knew how to use it more effectively. That includes utube videos and wherever I can find someone to help.

Pros: This program does EVERYTHING we need and more! So glad someone recommended TouchPoint to us. It is the best option we found and the pricing is VERY reasonable.

Cons: It is hard for me to think of something I dislike about TouchPoint. Just being nit-picky, I wish there was an option to enter birthdays without a year. But really, that is not a huge issue.

Pros: Setting up groups for emails. On-line giving is simple. We are using a check scanner so I like the ability to have the check image attached to the gift.

Cons: Getting issues resolved. Having to post journal entries. We have pledges and having pledges and regular contributions going to one fund is not good for us. We like to report dollar amounts collected on our pledges.

Overall: I am still trying to learn the software. I may be a better judge after using more.

Pros: Open-Source (I have contributed bug fixes and new features that have been implemented). Custom SQL and Python Scripting. Children checkin is easy. VBS Registration and management is super easy. Automation for sending out absentee reports. Integration with text messaging and newsletter emails through Mailchimp. Integration with background check supplier is seamless.

Cons: Currently the Calendar is a bit clunky but they are working to release new version. I also wish the Mobile app was a bit more cost effective for smaller church plants.

Pros: I really like that I can enter the giving of each member and I can print a givings record for the year end!

Cons: This is a huge complaint of mine: If you do not type every letter of a person's name correctly, the system will not pull choices at all!! Most searches, will pull names that are close or similar for you to choose the correct person. This costs me time! Also, the contribution bundles has too many steps. I could save a lot of time with a few suggestions.

Overall: There are many managerial duties that are managed from this software.

Pros: The search functions and ability to create multiple criteria for searches;
The ease of exporting information from different lists;
The extra value functions, as we use that for a lot of our information

Cons: 1) I wish there was better integration of the personal info and extra values- It would be nice if you didn't have to click on a separate tab (Profile--Extra Values) to look at someone's extra values. The same goes for search exports- I wish there was an export option that included standard info as well as extra values (maybe there is, and I haven't figured it out yet).

2) While this tool is easy for me to navigate and utilize as an administrator, it doesn't feel as user friendly for other invited users who haven't been trained on it. In other words, some of the features are not very intuitive, but require a good bit of training to understand (especially building a search).

3) Finally, I would like if there were more customization options for our organization. Since we are a Diocese rather than a single church, many of the features don't apply to us, and can make the interface confusing for users. It would also be great if we could have certain saved searches show up on every person's home page.

Overall: It has provided a way for us to have a central, up-to-date, information database, which was lacking in our organization before.

Still confused about the app.

Pros: I like the potential of what it can do. If it can do everything advertised, it would be amazing. I like the idea of taking attendance with a smart phone. I like the idea of the software alerting us when a person goes inactive.

Pros: It is great that the pictures of our church members are available.
I like being able to email individuals and groups through Touchpoint.
The report feature is nice.
Being able to use tags is helpful. It would however, be even more helpful to be able to further filter some of the people I have tagged before I email the whole group. Sometimes, an email should go to most, but not all of the members of a tag.
The "Recently Viewed" list is very helpful when searching People or Organizations.

Cons: I am disappointed that I cannot set up a communication plan for members and guests.
The search building feature seems a bit awkward. Is there a chart somewhere that lists all available codes that I may search?
I wish there was a separate place where I could view all my templates without having to click on someone's record in order to find all of my saved drafts/templates.
Our church does not have a Twilio account, so we are unable to send texts using Touchpoint. It would be great if the capability to send /receive texts was integrated in the software.
We also do not use the payment system that can be used with Touchpoint.

Overall: Being able to keep up with prospects and members of our church is much easier with this software tool.

Pros: The home page is user friendly and easy to help familiarize with software for new users. Email function is very helpful with many options on who and how to email people within an organization

Cons: Probably church specific but some online registrations get left in limbo because their email is not the same one on file. Puts it in a holding place and kids don't get registered in a class because of this

Pros: I really like the ease of finding info. Everything is pretty self explanatory which is really nice. That may not sound like much but its crazy how often software is NOT self explanatory!

Cons: The search function could be revamped a little. Sometimes I feel like it may be missing something.

Pros: Touchpoint has so many features that are so helpful. You can run a search for so many different parameters to really discover people that may be slipping through the cracks of the ministries of your church.

Cons: The only negative is that some of the features can sometimes be difficult for some people to understand how to use them.

I love the capabilities but the interface is so unfriendly.

Comments: We love the system. It does a ton for us. With that said, I feel like there are a ton of features that we are not currently using and getting the most out of the system, which is why I gave the ease of use such a low score. Unless you know exactly what you are looking for it is not very intuitive to navigate through the system and figure things out on your own.

Pros: Intuitive
Easy to use
Great support and customer service
Mobile adaptive interface
Frequent software updates and improvements

Overall: Our church transitioned to TouchPoint almost 6 years ago, and it is unequivocally the best administrative and ministry tool that our staff, church leaders, and members use daily. Likewise, members and guests benefit from the custom branded TouchPoint app, online giving and event registrations.

They have created a church management system with a high level of functionality while maintaining an intuitive and easy to use interface. We couldn¿t be happier with TouchPoint from the outstanding customer service to the well thought out design and functionality.

We use almost every aspect of the software: attendance tracking, member & guest assimilation, mass email, mass SMS texting, event registrations, mission trip registrations, online giving, custom branded app, walk-up check-in, and more. It is truly a software that will meet every demand of the modern church.

One of the biggest improvements that TouchPoint made in the last few years was the transition to the mobile adaptive platform. In other words, it works beautifully on your mobile device.

As the Director of IT and systems administrator, customer service and support are indispensable resources I often depend on, and this is where TouchPoint really shines. They use an email based support system and they are quick to respond and provide solutions. And when you point out a problem, the dev team is quick to fix it. They offer the best customer service and support of all the vendors I use. Likewise, the support documentation is fantastic and always up-to-date. In fact, I did all my training using the documentation and video tutorials before we deployed it to our staff.

One of the best things about TouchPoint, they are always activity developing to improve and enhance the software. You don¿t have to wait 6 months for new features and updates. They frequently push out improvements on a weekly basis.

If you are a church looking for an CMS solution, look no further. Setup your demo with TouchPoint today¿you won¿t regret it!

Since I am still learning how to use Touchpoint, I have contacted them on several occasions. The response time is amazing and they are always able to address any issue I have! I do wish that there was a complete online training manual that I could download. I do use Touchpoint's documentation site and videos often, and the information is very helpful. I would love to have all of this information in a document that I could download once. Thank you!

Pros: Like the look of the system. The app is very helpful. The check in system has been the highlight for us.

Cons: I work with Downline and Harvest. Hard to go back and forth, but I know that is not a common thing. Some things are very userfriendly. I have had to work to learn a few other things like tagging, but with the help of staff and articles, I am getting there.

Overall: I really enjoy the look of the system. It has helped us improve our check-in system! For me, there is a learning curve for how to process certain things but the staff has been very helpful and once I get it the first time, I am good to go!

Pros: Portability: I can access from where ever I am at.

Cons: Not intuitive and cannot get church members motivated to access their profiles themselves. Perhaps because its another login they have to remember.

Overall: I use this system weekly to assist the pastor in recording giving records. I do not use it daily or for a majority of its other functions so I don't know that I can give an informed review. However, I use a variety of software applications and can always find myself a way around them whereas with this one I find it much more difficult to locate the information I need. Not to mention the difficulty everyone on staff has had on keeping congregants informed of their giving history. I cannot give a rating for value or customer support as I am not familiar with the cost or have utilized support.

Recommendations to other buyers: If members could login with Google or Facebook they might be more likely to update their profile and check their giving online.

Cons: Lack of report printing capability. Slows down my data entry because the screen moves when you enter a record.

Overall: Having used several different database type software over the years, Touchpoint is OK, but not the greatest. I use it for financial data entry and the screen jumps around during entry so you have to chase it down with the mouse. You also cannot print reports of weekly giving for your records. I have to copy the report on the screen, then paste into Word to have a report that I can e-mail to my pastor of the weekly offering.

Pros: Everything you could want is there.

Cons: There are many options (within menus etc) that I cannot figure out (instinctively) how to use or why it is there. Ease of use is compromised.

Overall: Although there are many functions and features that we don't use, simply because we are a small church (and we are not in the US which makes all those helpful TAX and Giving functions redundant) everything we have ever needed/wanted is there! It is not that easy to figure out how to use and the interface can be a bit overwhelming, but there is always (a lot of) help when you need it! Put in other words: I haven't found it necessary to inquire about many of the things you see (almost cluttering) the interface, but whenever I did have a question I could easily find the answer.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you did have the time to COMPLETELY figure out why things go where they do, it would be the best software out there!

Comments: I have enjoyed using the software as well as working with the support team at TouchPoint. I am new to the administrative field in church and did not have previous experience working with other church software. It was a challenge initially for me to understand all the benefits to the church and ministry but I love the features and quality of the software. The support team as been exceptional in both timely responses and quality responses also. I found their help documentation to be very helpful and thorough, with reasonable accuracy in the ever changing industry. They did have an intro training which I appreciated. My only suggestion would to be to include a training for younger/smaller churches such as ours that emphasizes the ministry tools and applications that could benefit the client. Though we have been able to figure out much as we have gone along through the support documentation and staff, as well as getting familiar with the software. Again though, as a younger church, the utilization of the software is smaller initially and thus creates a longer learning curve. I have found the software to be of value as well. The cost has increased during our time of business, and I have found other options that are more economical for a younger church, however, the interface leaves something to be desired. Overall, I have enjoyed working with both the software and the staff.

Pros: Being able to enter contributions

Cons: Not very user friendly when it comes to learning how to use some of the other features of the program that I'm not familiar with.

Overall: I will start by saying I am not the main user of our touchpoint program but I do use part of the touchpoint features quite often. I do the bookkeeping so I mainly deal with the financial side of things which I will say are pretty easy to do with this program. The only thing I wish it would do differently is entering a person's contributions all at one time without having to reenter the name or number of the person to put a different amount in a separate category. Everything else for me is pretty easy I guess. I will say it is hard to print reports off for the bank when you are getting a loan to build (10 highest giving members for last year and year before last). Anyway there are always things that need improvement when it comes to programs but I will say that overall I really like TouchPoint and the convenience it gives when I need to look someone up and can just touch the address and it gets me straight to the map to get me there. I would and have recommended this program to other churches.

Recommendations to other buyers: Maybe make it a little more user friendly and easier to navigate.

Overall: Our church migrated from an old, unwieldy Windows-based system to TouchPoint about 18 months ago. I love the anywhere access that TP's cloud-based system gives us. It's super user-friendly, and the reports I can get out of it are excellent, all of which I can download to Excel at the click of a button. The documentation is some of the best I've ever seen in the software industry, which I've worked in for 20 years. The customer support is generally quite responsive, getting you the answers you need right away on how to do something, or whether something is possible. I do wish there were a way to find out whether a new feature request was going to be worked on, and if so, a future release date. Overall, I'd recommend this product to any church looking to change or upgrade their contribution management system.

Comments: I've worked with a few database/management systems and this is my favorite so far. The only thing that would make this better for what I do is to have a way to manage privacy settings to hide certain info from lay leaders. The support is fantastic. Customer support representative are always very helpful.

Pros: Ease of use

Cons: As a web base only we must have access to internet. This has not been a problem yet but the option to look offline could help

Overall: The Well Church has been using the services of TouchPoint for over a year and they have been valuable in helping us keep track of our giving and people who visit our church. Thank you!

Recommendations to other buyers: Simple Give is our web based giving administrative tool. Wish it was more integrative with TouchPoint

Pros: Pretty easy to learn & update.

Cons: Not knowing the many other things that it can do. Some on-site training (free) would be awesome!

Overall: I think it's a very good system. I know there are a lot of things it does that I don't even know about it. Staff are always friendly & helpful and very prompt to answer questions.

Recommendations to other buyers: User Friendly.

Pros: Cloud-based. Covers our major needs as our church management system. Reasonable pricing. Have never had an outage where the system was unavailable.

Cons: Would like greater level of control when delegating access rights to ministry leaders.

Overall: Have been a TouchPoint customer for 3 years. We use the system to maintain contact information on all of our families and guests; maintain contribution data for end-of-year tax statements; online giving; mass email and text messaging capabilities; and online registratation. We have also extended usage of the tool beyond our church office staff to deacons and other ministry leaders. The TouchPoint team helped us to migrate our data from our legacy church management solution (ServantKeeper) and has been very responsive whenever we have had a question, problem or a suggestion on how to improve the product. Would recommend that any church looking for a cloud-based church management system series consider use of TouchPoint

Recommendations to other buyers: TouchPoint has excellent online help and videos with instructions on how to use features. They also are very good at taking ideas from their user community and adding them to the system.

Comments: I find the software not very intuitive. Have tried to get others to use, but they find too difficult. It seems to take quite a bit of learning to get up to speed on what the software can do. Some of the help articles have been great. Others haven't helped. I don't know how much they paid for the software so can't respond to the value question.

Pros: I use the mobile app most and love it.
We like the video tutorials.
We are just scratching the surface with our usage, but see great benefit in check-in applicaiton & ipad attendance.

Overall: Touchpoint has been an incredible tool for our church and our ministry. From creating reports, tracking attendance, to communicating with our people, touchpoint helps us to leverage information for more effective and efficient ministry. The Touchpoint App has also been an indispensable resource for quick access to information on the go!

Recommendations to other buyers: We would love to add some of the personalized features of the mobile app, but it is cost prohibitive. Annual Amount is just too much for us.

Pros: I love that we can enter in as many prospect contacts as we need to without being charged per record. This is huge for us as a small rural church of under 100. Another benefit is that our Connection Group teachers can take attendance right on the mobile app. Since we have no church secretary, this is a great help in getting our records in and keeping them up to date.

Cons: I do wish that texting was integrated into the system rather than having to use a 3rd party service. I also would love to see some kind of implementation with Facebook posting, particularly when advertising special events. The scheduling calendar--while a great help with scheduling our nursery workers--needs an update.

Overall: As a small rural church, TouchPoint has helped us better track our guests and make follow-up connections and the mobile app makes taking attendance in our Connection Groups super easy. And the customer support is fast and very helpful.

Recommendations to other buyers: I am sure I could come up with several ideas, but, since we are a small church, I would love to see lower pricing geared for smaller ministries. But please don't offer a lower price and then extremely limit the number of records you can enter (what most other companies do).

Pros: Customer Service; a lot of features; search capabilities

Cons: I would like to be able to customize more based on our church. I.E. we have a different membership process. There are certain things that are a bit confusing and not real easy to use unless you are very comfortable with computers.

Overall: We have found TouchPoint to be the "best bang for our buck." We have tried and looked into other software and TouchPoint works best for us. The price is reasonable and it does most everything we need. There are some things that do not fit our church, however, they are continuing to update. Customer service is second to none!

Pros: All the features, the reports

Cons: I would like to see a feature where we can print out the tax receipts. Maybe there is and we don't know how to do it.

Overall: We still need to explore all of the features of the program. For now, we are basically using the envelope/batch function and reports.
